Freedom -Part 2
Tumblr media
Pairing- Sully family x niece!reader
WC- 1,194
Genre- FLUFF
Warnings- Jake and Norm co-parenting, Jake being daddy :>, y/n being a brat just like her father, other than that none <3
A/N- this was a little longer than the other chapter, if you’re wonder why this is a little different to how the other chapter was written it’s because I trying think how a five year old would speak :) also I’m going to write some more chapters like this before the actual story begins because I want people to know what the reader is like and why she’s like that. Again this is not proof read
Quick info: (Y/n)- 5 years old, Neteyam- 3 years old, Kiri- 2 years old and Lo’ak- 2 years old
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her heart beat was thumping in her ears, her breath coming out slow as her finger nails clawed into the earth. Her tail making sharp flicks as her eyes zoned into her prey, ears twitching as she listened for any sudden movement. The back was facing her, rocking sided to side as they hummed a tune, the preys eyes locked onto a small figure in front of it as they played in the small pond.
Creeping forward she made sure to stay light on her hands and feet as she pushed the leaves away. She placed her hand on a branch causing it to snap underneath her. The preys ear flinched towards her as it turned its head slightly.
Now. She thought.
Running out underneath the bushes, y/n jumped onto the preys back, her arms wrapping around her neck.
Netyiri laughed out, “your getting much better, y/n, but why do you still choose to hunt like a Palulkan?”
Y/n giggled as she looked down into netyiri’s arms, her younger brother and sister, Lo’ak and Kiri, sleeping in her arms while Neteyam played in the pool of water in front of them, she sighed.
“What is it, my child?” Netyiri asked as y/n came to sit next to her.
Y/n huffed out, “when can they play with me?” she picked at the grass next to her.
The older na’vi let out a small sigh, “they are too young to play.” Y/n hummed not paying attention finding the grass much more interesting then what she is saying.
She just didn’t understand it. Yes, Neteyam couldn’t really talk yet but he could walk and run, Kiri not far behind, but not as fast as her though. She felt like they was miss out and because she is five and was learning new things everyday she just wanted to teach them as well so they could play together.
She grunted. Her thoughts clear as day on her face.
Netyiri smiled at the young girl, “don’t worry, you will all be able to play together soon.” All she got as a reply was a small grunt and frown across her face. Netyiri’s smile got wider, this small child in front of her was so much like her father and mother she couldn’t believe it.
Leaves rustling behind them caught their attention, y/n quickly moved in front of Netyiri and her sibling, ears pinned back, hissing at the figure coming closer.
Jake quickly emerged from the foliage, hands raised, “whoa, whoa. Calm down fire cracker.”
He came closer picking up the young girl in his arms, the frown still plastered across her face.
“Is it time?” Netyiri asked, to which Jake nodded in response. Y/n tilted her head, ‘time for what?’.
Tumblr media
Jake emerged from the jungle towards a metal box, while y/n sat on his shoulders, she tilted her head, she could hear something like talking and laughing but she couldn’t understand it.
When Jake got closer he removed her off his shoulders and placed her in front of him. He kneeled down looking her in the eyes, “now listen, kid. When we enter don’t leave my side, and do not touch anything.” She nodded in reply, giving him a salute, “yes, sir.”
He rolled his eyes as he gently grabbed her hand and leaded her into the building. Y/n was instantly hit with a weird smell that she couldn’t describe. She’s never smelt something like this, it felt like her nose was burning.
She looked around, everything was white with the occasional blue here and there. Large glass tubes that was filled with water and Na’vi looking people floating in them. It was unsettling. Seeing grown adult Na’vi’s looking so… weak. She scooted closer to Jake.
And that was when she saw them. Sky people. Her heart was pounding against her rib cage. How could it not? She maybe young but she’s heard tales of the sky people from the elders of her clan and what they did to Pandora.
What they did to her Mother and Father.
She hissed when one of them got closer than she liked, she had to get out of here. She had to protect Jake.
“Jake! We need to go.” She whispered to him, tugging at his hand as her eyes bolted around.
Jake smiled, “it’s fine, they will not hurt us. They are our allies.”
What? He must be joking right? Sky people… as our allies?
Just then a small pink man approached them, his arms wide and a smile spread across his face, his voice loud hurting her ears. Jake returned this, smiling. ‘What is happening? Has he gone mad?’ She thought.
After they finished hugging the pink man turned to her, bending down to her his smile getting wider, his mouth was moving and sound was coming out but she had not a clue what this Tspìng looking man was saying to her. Feeling threatened she moved closer to Jake, bearing her fangs at the unknown man, to which he jolted back in surprise.
“Whoa, calm down, y/n! He’s not a threat.” Jake said, placing his hand on top of her head to sooth her. “What are we doing here, Jake.” Y/n asked.
He smiled at her, trying to realise the tension building up in her small body, “we’re just going to be having some lesson with, Norm. Okay?”
She didn’t like this not one bit.
And she was right. For the last couple of months Jake had been taking her to meet with Norm to have English lessons in the metal box. She had no clue why. Why would she learn the language of demons? The same people who hurt her family and tried to destroy their planet! No matter what Jake and Norm tried to bribe her with she will never speak the foul language. Never.
“Please, y/n. Just learn a little, that’s all I’m asking.” Norm pleaded with her in Na’vi, his head pressed against the table they was sitting at.
“No.” She simply replied, her small arms crossed against her chest as she looked around the room she was being held hostage in.
Jake let out a loud sigh. Kneeling on the floor (due to the fact that he couldn’t fit in a chair anymore) he looked y/n in the eyes, “y/n just learn a little so you can communicate with Norm. That’s all I’m asking. If something happens to you and Netyiri or I are not with you, you will be able to talk to and understand Norm.”
This made her pause, if something had happened to her in which she couldn’t get back to her family and clan then the next best option would be these people. As much as y/n didn’t want to agree with it, it was the truth. She grunted, “okay.” To which the two men sighed out in relief.
But that didn’t last long, because soon Neteyam, Kiri and Lo’ak was walking, running and talking! All her time was spent with her younger siblings. Being the oldest she had to look after them and make sure they wasn’t getting into trouble.
She would do anything for her siblings.

Avatar the way of water Spider x adoptive mom black reader! Can you do my hair?
Spider asks you to do his hair after seeing you change your hair style so many times.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Spider loved you he saw you as his mother he absolutely adores you seeing as you raised him and did not care who his father was unlike certain people and Hell's gate and Pandora he was just a kid what Spider noticed is that you always changed your hair it was either down, curled wavy but it was mostly in braids which he wanted so badly, so he talked to Kiri about it.
"You should ask her Spider!"
"What if she says no?"
"Why would she say no? "
"Because last time I asked she said no."
"Only because you had got an attitude with her because she warned you about how you weren't taking care of your hair!"
Spider glared at his friend who well he knew was right you had talked to him about keeping his hair from getting tangled up and you offered to fix it for him but he refused because he liked his hair how it was and didn't want to change it
(Mostly wanting to take after Jake's hair because he admire the man eh the Na'vi)
but you told him that he was human and it need to be taken care of which made him upset because he didn't want to be reminded that he was born a human and not one of the people. Which lend to a agurement and him leaving you haven't spoken since than which made him upset and wanted to apologize but was to embarrassed and stubborn to do.
"Dude just ask her already if she says no that's your fault for being a Skxawng!"
Both teens turned to see Lo'ak standing there with his arms crossed.
"Besides she didn't say no she just said "Okay don't come crying to me when your hair gets messed up kiddo!" Lo'ak tries mimics your voice but failed making Kiri laugh and Spider blush in embarrassment he gets up making the two look at him.
"Ya'know what fine! I'll go to her right now and ask her to do my hair there happy?"
"Good I can't wait to see your new do Monkey boy!"
"Sorry to bus your bubble Kiri but Dad wants us back home."
"Ugh fine but you will show me your hair monkeyboy!"
The boy laughs and nods his head while waving goodbye to his friends than went back to Hell's Gate to see his guardian aka his adopted his mom who was in her room braiding her long dark hair.
"Welcome home kid had fun today?"
"Yeah...hey uh mama Y/n."
"Hey punk what's up? Oh no."
"What?"
"What did you do?"
"Huh? What's make you think I did something I didn't even say anything yet!"
"Because of your face gives it all away kid please tell me you didn't piss off anyone or worse Neytiri?"
You say with an annoyed tone making Spider flinch a bit he knew you disliked Neytiri not that you hated her but you two always went at each other throat because of her dislike for Spider before you two were close like sisters until she found out you had decided to raise the child of the monster who was responsible for her home destruction, don't get me wrong you understood why but how she glares and treats Spider didn't sit right with you and you made it clear to her that you weren't going to put up with her behavior towards your child. Since than she's always avoided Spider, not wanting to mess up your friendship.
"No I didn't I just um wanted to ask you something?"
"Okay?"
You turned to look at him arms crossed he started fidgeting under your intense gaze it was silent for a minute before he let out a deep breath and looked at you with a nervous smile.
"Can you do my hair?"
Okay you were definitely not expecting that! You put a hand on your chest letting out a gasp.
"I'm sorry what? Did I just hear correctly did the Spider ask ME of all people do his hair? By Eywa It must be a miracle!"
He lets out a groan and rolls his eyes you laugh getting out of your chair giving him a kiss on his forehead.
"Of course love I'm glad you felt comfortable to ask me but you do know I'm going have to cut some of it?"
He let out a sigh nodding his head, he knew you would say that he also knew it was gonna hurt like hell.
"What made you decide to change you hair anyway?"
You ask while getting some of the stuff ready he didn't say anything but look down face getting warm, making you look back at him with a frown.
"Spider?"
"I just I felt bad about snapping on you for wanting to do something with my hair I talked to Kiri and she said I should have listened to you because you always changed your hair and you always made it look nice."
you have to remember to thank Kiri when you see her.
"Aww Spider it's okay I understand why you got so upset...but if you ever talk to me with that tone again I will make you regret it." He winced under your glare and because you pulled a bit of his hair.
"Yes ma'am..."
"Good now sit down and try to relax this is gonna take a while."
(Later)
Where's Spider? Tuk asked Kiri who was helping her with her food
"Asking auntie Y/n to do his hair."
"Why?"
"Because he wanted to fix it." Kiri shouldn't have said that because that made her sister get up with a grin on her face.
"I want to see!" Before Kiri knew it the little girl ran away from her.
"Tuk wait!" Kiri chased after her sister they ran passed the boys who also ended up chasing them.
(Back to you and Spider)
"Ow ow ow!"
"I told you to hold still!"
"But it hurts!"
"Well it's gonna hurt! This is why I told you before that this is what happens if you don't take care of your damn hair!"
He huffed under his breath saying something in Na'vi making you pull on his hair harder.
"Ow! Mama Y/n that hurt!
"Oh hush and watch what you say under you breath!"
"There done go see you freed hair wild thing."
Spider quickly escape from your grasp running to the bathroom to look in the mirror to his surprised his hair it was curly and shiny it felt weird at how light his hair was hell he could barely recognize himself, if it wasn't for the paint on his body you'd think he was a different person.
"I look....weird??" You laugh at the boy confused face ruffing his hair.
"You look handsome."
"Auntie! You both turn to see Tuk, Kiri and Lo'ak and surprisingly Neteyem come running towards you Tuk hugged your waist making you laugh at the child."
"Hi Tuk Tuk how are you babygirl?"
"I'm fine I missed you Auntie! Kiri said you were doing Spider's hair! Is that true?"
"Yep! We are just letting it breathe for a bit before he picks out what hair style he wants."
The kids starred in shock as they saw their human friend/brother come from his hiding spot messing with his curls.
"Whoa..." Lo'ak starred at his friend in disbelief not believing that it was the same boy, while Tuk bounced around the room excited running to get a better look at the boy's hair.
"Spider you lool so pretty!" Tuk runs over to play with his hair.
"Thanks Tuk Tuk."
"You do look good monkey boy." Kiri says also playing with his hair making him flustered from all the attention he was getting.
"How'd you manage to do that Auntie?" Neteyem asked standing next to you also impressed on Spider's free hair.
"My mother."
I was raised by a black mom with five daughters who always wanted their hair to be kept upright. Your mother was strict when it came to taking care of your hair but you were thankful.
"Okay now Spider time for you to pick which hair style you want boo."
Tumblr media
"Whoa they all look pretty cool it's hard to pick!" Lo'ak looked at the book with all different kinds of hairstyles.
"We could help!"
"Aw thanks Tuk Tuk now let's begin!"
With that you got to work on his hair lucky because you untangled amd washed it, it was easy to do Lo'ak was watching making fun of Spider face expressions, Kiri punched his arm glaring at him while giving Spider a smile trying to ease his pain helping you do the blonde locs, Neteyam looked through some of your magazines with the different hair styles along with Tuk who had a snack in her hand it took a they were interested with the different styles and asked you a lot questions on them it helped make the day go by faster cause before you knew it you were done with his hair you were exhausted!
(whichever one you all picked is now Spider's new hair style or whatever you think he'll look good with of course)
"You look good boo! You look so grown up and so handsome!"
The Sully kid's touched his hair amazed by the new look unable to believe that this was their Spider, making the poor kid embarrassed the ran out the room wanting to show everyone his new look befir3 he left he stopped at th3 door to turn to look, at you you raised an eyebrow at him wondering whatnhe wanted next thing you know he run's forward and hugged you tightly. You stood there surprised before you could react he let you go smiling running out the room after the Sully's
"THANKS MAMA Y/N I LOVE IT!!!"
You just stood there taking a minute to processes his words than a big grin spread across your face shaking your head I swear that kid is a pain in my ass but you loved him.

A small piece of a bigger project I'm working on. Basically how my OC would save her brother. Heavy spoilers
Neteyam Lives
Tumblr media
My brain almost couldn't comprehend what was happening right now. Neteyam, my big brother, was bleeding out in my lap. His hand clutched mine, feeling clammy. I couldn't tell if it was from the water or his wound. His breath was fast and shallow. I could hear his lungs shuttering. His heart was slowing. Under all the voices of my family, the racing of my own heart, and the crashing of the waves, that’s all I could hear—his heart. Neteyam’s heart is a sound that always brought peace to my life. The Sky People are taking that away from me right now. His grip keeps slipping. He’s gasping. Look at me, Nateyam. It’s ok. You’re going to be ok. A hand rested on my shoulder. Whipping around, Tsireya had a sad look in her eyes. They wear filled with tears. I could feel my eyes start to burn. No. No, he can’t. He’s not going to die!
“Dad… I wanna go home!” Neteyam’s face pinched in pain. My breath shuddered, trying to keep my sobs down. This feeling of rocks in my chest was too much. Dad soothed Neteyam as best he could. His hands shook, too. I tapped his arm. Please, Dad. Do something! We locked eyes and he shook his head.
“I can’t, baby.” I heaved a sob, my throat going raw. An Ikran's cry sounded from above, but I couldn’t look up.
“No!” Mom was here. I watched her collapse near me, hands finding mine and Neteyam’s. "No, no, ,no, no…" Mom kept repeating. Her hands pressed tightly to his wound and he cried. Neteyam. His heart was slowing even more. Why do these people keep hurting us? All this pain because the Sky People killed their land and want ours? They can have it! Take it all! Just leave my family alone. My brother doesn’t deserve this.
"Mo, Mo'teya. Y- You can help him!" Lo'ak reached over and grabbed my four arms. His eyes had a wild look, scared, sad, and hopefully all at once. Everyone looked at us. "You did it in the forest once, we watched you! You saved the syaksyuk without even trying!" The syaksyuk? That was years ago. I haven't been forced to do such a thing in so long. "My daughter, what is he saying?" Mom gasped at me. Could I? It didn't always work. In the lab, many Na'vi died because I failed to revive them. What would my parents say when they realize I can pull someone from Eway's arms? There is no plant to connect to from this rock, no connection to Eywa. I can't- "N-N-No, Mo. Don't," Neteyam croaked. His breathing was beginning to grow shallow and rapid. Only Neteyam knew how harshly reviving a whole person affected me. Only my brother would tell me not to save him. Fuck everyone else. I'm doing this. I don't care if my family ends up abandoning me. I'm doing this. I reached over and pulled Lo'ak's knife from him. Lo'ak reached out and pulled Mom away.
"What are you doing, Mo'teya? What are you doing?" Mom refused to let go of Neteyam's hand. I ignored her, crawling on top of my brother. His chest was drenched in blood, the smell mixing with the water. The water. "Mo, get off! Mo?" Dad tried to pull on my shoulders. "M-Mo, no," Neteyam begged. His hand covered mine, still pressed into his wound. I pulled away from Neteyam and Dad. They needed to shut up and let me concentrate. Taking a big breath, I sliced deep into my palm with Lo'ak's blade. Everyone yelled out while I hissed. This hurt. Fuck, I don't remember this hurting so bad. Blood ran down my hand and onto Neteyam's chest. At the same time, I could feel my chest tightening and my head growing full. So my body remembers. Good. "Shit, Mo," Lo'ak kept my mother from pulling me to her. She choked on her breath, eyes wide. "Lo'ak! Release me!"
I dropped Lo'ak's knife and brought my other hand to my mouth. This was going to hurt more. The shock is wearing off from my left hand. I breathed deep, letting air expand my body, before biting down on my palm. Shit, shit, shit. Yep. This hurt more. So much more. I let go and sniffed. Tears welled up in my eyes again. Please, Eway, let this work. Let me pull another from you. Let me keep my brother. I watched as Neteyam's breath slowed. His chest shook, struggling to fill with air. We held eye contact. His soft eyes pleaded with me. I couldn't figure out whether it was to save him or let him go. I smiled, trying to calm him. All I could do was wait till his heart stopped and he entered Eway's land. Then, his heart thumped for the last time. His eyes held mine as Neteyam himself faded away, leaving empty pits of yellow. Someone, probably Mom, screamed behind me. Now, it's time.
I dug my palm into Neteyam's wound, my blood mixing with his. I reached over and put my hand in the water. Water is a giver and taker of life. Water itself could be used as a direct connection to Eway, like a tree or an animal. This would be my entry point. Get into the connection and cut off the transfer of energy. My family tried to call my attention to them, but Lo'ak and Tsireya kept them away. I ignored all of them, closing my eyes. I needed to clear my head. Calm. Be calm. Breath. In. Out.
In.
Out.
In.
Out. Now count.
One. A bright light flashed behind my eyelids. I could hear voices, so many it was overwhelming. Some called out my name. Some laughed and cheered, and some gasped and sobbed. My hands tingled and burned, half from the power surging in my body, half from the nerves screaming in pain. I couldn't see anything, yet. This was the easy part, just getting in there. I need to find Neteyam before he moves too far out of my reach.
Two. The bright light faded into the forest, and the familiar smell made me want to cry. Bugs buzzed in my ears, animals made their calls. Water was running not far to my left. I walked towards it, hearing Neteyam cheer. Brushing a leaf out of my way, I found my brother, laughing at the fish in the pond. He was smiling so brightly, full of nothing but joy. It was startling to see, compared to the pained and scared look I had just witnessed. “Mo’teya? What are you doing here?” Neteyam had finally noticed me. His eyes blew wide and he seemed concerned. Did he not know what was going on? I reached out a hand, waiting for him to take it. He stared, puzzled. “What is it?” I just shook my head and bobbed my hand. He needed to take my hand so we can get out of here. “Mo, I don’t know what you want. You should go bac-” “Neteyam! Shut up and take my hand!” I couldn't with him right now. I watched Neteyam’s face pale and his mouth pop open. He had never heard my voice before. Funny the first words he hears from me is for him to shut up. “O-Okayyyy. Since when could you speak?” I ignored him and pulled him away from the water. His hand felt warm in mine like this was just a normal day at home. My palms still screamed and burned, so I was still connected to Neteyam. Lo’ak and Tsireya are doing a good job. “Whatever happens, don’t let go.”
Breath in. Breath out. Two.
My eyes slid shut again, after taking the forest in once more. "Mo, I don't like this. Let me find Dad, we gotta tell them you can talk!" I squeezed Neteyam's hand tight as the lights started to flash again. My heart raced and Neteyam's grip turned into hot lightning. I flinched but didn't let go. The forest sounds and smells disappeared slowly and were replaced with voices again. Slowly, I could hear waves crashing. Warm hands cover my shoulders, arms, and hands. Someone said my name over and over again, a whisper. The light slowly faded. Voices one by one disappeared.
One.
I slowly opened my eyes. Neteyam's bright yellow eyes stared back.

Not intrusive at all!💙 My top three things i love to talk about goes 1.My cat 2. My current hyperfixation 3. The Sims. so yeah I'm happy to share more!
A few things to note, I'm doing a full story progression so right now all of the 16-14 year old's are kids so more like 12-10.
So we'll start with the Sully's

Neytiri and baby Neteyam
Tumblr media Tumblr media
baby Kiri and Neteyam
Tumblr media
Foster home Spider meeting Kiri for the first time
Tumblr media

Tumblr media
I dont have a ton of pictures of Jake and Neytiri because usually they're the ones taking them.
There house is kinda a crazy build. I play with a lot of mods and so I used the all worlds are residential mod and the t.o.o.l mod to turn the world from jungle adventure into Pandora. For the Sully's house I was going for a very organic kind of a thing so I ended up with this
Tumblr media
(it was hard getting a good screen shot through all the trees.)
I'll just do a quick run through of everyone else because this post is getting long.
Grace (who's unfortunately dead now)
Tumblr media
Norm and Trudy (They run the group home that Spider lived in after Paz died and Quaritch went to jail)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Max
Tumblr media
Tom Sully who's not dead
Tumblr media
Mo'at, Eytukan, Sylwanin, and Tsu'tey
Tumblr media
Ronal, Tonowari, Aonung, and Tsireya
Tumblr media
and last but not least Team Deja Blue (I didn't make all of them. Just the ones I like more.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So yeah that's my game! I hope you enjoyed this glimpse at my excessive nerdyness 😂

Never Enough.
Summary: In which Lo’ak is born as Sylwanin instead. Sylwanin goes through the process of being shunned by her family after Neteyam’s death.
Sylwanin never realized how much blood a body can hold until her hands were drenched in it.
It would have hurt less if it was her blood that she was covered in but it was Neteyam's. Her Neteyam, her big brother, her protector for as long as she could remember. And now he was dead. Because of her. Sylwanin was feeling overwhelmed with guilt and grief as she tried to make sense of what had happened.
A week had passed since they had sent Neteyam's dead body back to Eywa.
Sylwanin couldn't shake off the feeling of emptiness that seemed to engulf her heart. The reality of the situation never seemed to fully register in her mind as she struggled with thoughts of what could have been done differently. She couldn't help but feel like she had failed her brother in his time of need.
It was her fault. Her fault that Neteyam had died. Her fault that she was still alive when he wasn't. Her fault that her family was suffering. She couldn't get that night out of her mind. The gut-wrenching screams of her mother as she watched the life drain out of her firstborn's eyes. The complete look of defeat on her father's face. The horror in Tuk's eyes and the quiet sobs of Ki'ri. Her fucking fault.
She hadn't realized how much Neteyam meant to her until he was gone. She had always felt like the black sheep of the family but she never felt unwanted when she had her older brother by her side. Now, her life felt like a bottomless void. She couldn't escape the suffocating feeling of guilt and remorse that had taken residence in her mind.
Neytiri would look away from her when she saw her. Jake would do his best to avoid her existence and the moment he did look at her, she could see the contempt and sadness in her eyes. Ki'ri wouldn't speak to her. Tuk was the only one who tried to be there but her family didn't let the little girl spend more than fifteen minutes alone with her. Sylwanin felt like no matter how much she apologized, it would never be enough to make up for the loss of Neteyam.
Now that Sylwanin realized it, it was always Neteyam.
She was never the daddy's girl. Jake never called her sweetheart or baby girl like he called Ki'ri and Tuk. He didn't have the softness for her that he had for his other two daughters. Neytiri would always be busy with her duties as the future Tsahik, helping Ki'ri with her connection to Eywa and raising Tuk to ever focus on her. Ki'ri was her sister, her friend but even she preferred Spider over her. Sylwanin couldn't help but feel like she was the extra one in her family, that she didn't belong.
But Neteyam made her feel like she mattered. He would always make time for her, no matter how busy he was with his warrior training or out on patrols. He would listen to her, encourage her and defend her, and take the blame for her recklessness. Sylwanin's relationship with Neteyam went beyond just being siblings; he was her protector, confidant, and best friend.
"Are you a daddy's girl or a mommy's girl?"
Tarsem had once asked her that question during one of their late-night conversations, and Sylwanin had scoffed at it. She was only 11 at that time but the answer was very clear.
"I'm a Neteyam's girl"
And now Neteyam was dead. All because Sylwanin couldn't listen. Sylwanin didn't realize she was having a panic attack. She felt a lump forming in her throat, making it hard to breathe. She tried to calm herself down, but the guilt was overwhelming As Sylwanin grapples with the overwhelming guilt and remorse over her brother Neteyam's death, she finds herself struggling to cope with the loss and the strained relationships within her family.
Strong arms wrap around her and she is pulled into someone's chest. Neteyam is the first thought that comes to her mind but Neteyam is dead. "Calm" A gentle but hoarse voice whispers. Aonung. It was Aonung. "Calm" he whispered again, drawing circles on her back. After a few minutes, Sylwanin's breathing starts to slow down and her heart rate begins to ease. Aonung didn't rush her. He stayed silent, holding her tight. "It's alright. Take your time," he whispered, and Sylwanin felt a sense of comfort wash over her.
Sylwanin thought that despite their initial differences and arguments, Aonung in a sense is like Neteyam. Both the eldest children of the Olo'eyktan shared a responsibility to protect their younger siblings and the clan. The difference was that Tsireya was an angel and Sylwanin was the murderer of her older brother. "My mother says that death is not the end of life. It's simply a transition to another realm. We must honor our departed loved ones by remembering them, their teachings, and how they lived. In this way, they live on in our hearts and memories." Aonung smiled at her as she pulled away.
Sylwanin stayed quiet. They wouldn't understand. Not even if she talked about it a hundred times, they wouldn't understand. They wouldn't understand the ache in her heart. The hollow soul inside her. They would never understand.

==========
These past few moons have been a whirlwind for you and Neteyam to say the least. With two of you completing your ikinmaya and now being recognized as adults there were now responsibilities to carry out. Jake was often taking Neteyam around camp and outside to the forest, giving him teachings on how to be a strong and proper Olo'eyktan. What to do to keep peace, how to keep The People safe, especially with the Sky People returning, all of this and more. You on the other hand were being torn all over the place trying to figure out what your purpose was.
You were either with Mo’at and Kiri, working with the herbs and ointments, how to perfect your remedies, be in touch with Eywa. Or you were trailing behind Neytiri and the other warriors of the clan, huntings for food, scouting for Sky People and their Recom Avatars that could be prowling around your home. “All the training you can get is good.” Your father would remind you should he ever hear your complaints about exhaustion or how annoyed you were with all that The People expected of you. But the one thing that seemed to bug you the most, and Neteyam too was how far apart you had gotten. Would you ever be as close as you use to be when you were just babes? Or had that friend ship crumbled and turned to ash?
==========
“Neteyam. Neteyam!” The boy’s head snapped back up, his attention returning to his father who stood with his arms crossed in front of his chest while his tail flicked with annoyance. “Boy, are you listening to me? You’ve been zoned out staring at that blade of grass for the last ten minutes.” Jake scolded. Neteyam instantly broke his father’s gaze and looked down at his hands that were picking at some grass. “Sorry Sir.” He apologized, his voice holding its usual meek demeanor to it when confronting his father. Jake ran a hand across his face and let out a sharp sigh. “What’s going on? You’re obviously distracted so come on out with it.”
Neteyam shook his head, unsure what to say. He did not know why he had been so disconnected as of late, usually he was in tune with his father’s teaching, soaking up every word the Olo'eyktan had to say. Neteyam was hungry to learn he truly was, but he was finding it difficult as of late to focus. “I don’t know sir.” He responded honestly, turning back up to Jake. “I’m just finding it hard to concentrate, I guess it might be because I haven't had a break from your teachings in so long?”
Neteyam watched as his father’s expression changed just barely leaning to a frown and instantly the eldest Sully son wanted to take back what he said. “But its not an excuse sir I know. I’ll do better to concentrate.” He added but Jake shook his head raising his hand for his son to stop speaking. “No you’re right son, you’re right.” Jake sighed, remembering his wife’s words of ‘Let them be kids’ “We haven’t had a break from this in a while, why don’t you take the day or something. Go for a fly, be back before eclipse.”
The Sully boy could not believe his ears at what his father was saying. Never once had the stone hard Marine suggested his son to take a break, be a kid. He figured that his mom must have said something. But despite this, Neteyam was hesitant to leave, wondering if there was a catch but Jake simply gave him a pat on the back and a gentle nudge toward camp.
==========
When Neteyam arrived at High Camp his first mission was to find you. Oh how it had
been so long that you and the teen had just said ‘hi’, let alone see each other but Neteyam marked it off as one of the sacrifices he had to make as the clan’s future Olo'eyktan.
Thankfully, finding you proved to be easy as today was one of the days that you stayed in camp helping Mo’at and Kiri. The moment that Neteyam peeked into the tent and sat you sitting there with your tail tucked around you, gossiping with his little sister whilst grinding something up in the mortar with your pestle he felt at ease. Neteyam cleared his throat while he stepped into the tent getting yours and Kiri's attention. “Well hello there stranger, remember we exist?” Kiri instantly teased, rising to her feet to hug her brother. Neteyam rolled his eyes, looping his arms around his sister’s waist. “Forgive me, I was kept away, busy with more important tasks.” He teased back, Kiri giving him a look of mock offense.
You couldn’t help but giggle at the sibling’s interaction. The sound of your laugh brought Neteyam back and he remembered why he was here. “Kiri, do you think you could spare y/n for the afternoon?” His sister made it look as though she was thinking as she pulled away from him and made her way over to you. “Oh I don't know,” Kiri looked down at you from where you sat then back to Neteyam, “maybe.” Neteyam raised a brow, neither understanding or apperacting his sister’s antics. On any other day maybe he’d have more patience but he was desperate to spend time with you. “Kiri.” He sighed using what his siblings teased him in calling his: Olo’eyktan tone. “Oh fine!” Kiri put her hands up, “But really it’s up to y/n if they want to go.”
Neteyam’s eyes fell on you, silently asking what your choice was and you nodded with a grin. “Give me a few moments to clean up and I’ll come join you.” At your words, the boy couldn’t help but let his teeth and canines show as a smile grew on his face. With a quick nod (and Kiri shooing him out) Neteyam left the tent to call his ikran. As the magnificent creature came swooping down, landing in front of him, a familiar chirp caught his ears causing them to perk up and Neteyam didn’t need to turn around to know it was you calling your own companion.
“You forgot your visor skxawng.” You teased, petting your ikran when she landed in front of you. “Hard for me to remember when you always bring it.” Neteyam snarked right back as he took the visor from your hand and slipped it onto his forehead. “I depend on you.” “Oh trust me,” You smirked, gracefully hoping up onto your ikran and tipping down the visor, “I know.”
And with that, your ikran rose up to its feet before tipping and falling backward. The two of you free fell in the air for a good ten seconds before flipping over and flying forward, Neteyam in your wake.
==========
The two of you lost track of time while flying. You had no set course, you just followed the sun while swooping around, diving and chasing each other. It was times like this that were most dear to you. Both you and Neteyam knew that these outings were going to become more and more rare but whenever the teen boy was with you he felt like he could be himself. He didn’t care how cliche it sounded. Neteyam knew that whenever you were near he could let his guard down, drop the Olo'eyktan act and just be a kid.
“Should we land for a moment and rest?” Neteyam called out to you, watching you race a head, dive down and come up by him. “One of these mountains should have a good water spot.” He suggested once you were side by side. “Lead the way Mr. Olo'eyktan.” You grinned. Neteyam rolled his eyes at the nickname, “I told you not to call me that.” He grumbled, ears down in annoyance but you just kept grinning all the same. Nothing could deter you when you were with him. You could be as silly and goofy as you wanted with Neteyam and he would just laugh and shake his head. No judgment or scoldings came from him when you were yourself.
The two of you while close in age and sharing similar interests were night and day in comparison when you were acting like yourselves. Neteyam was very calm and collected, having a good laugh every now and then. He made sure to be more cautious, the look before jumping type. You however would take the plunge without a second thought. Who cares if there are rocks at the bottom? You would deal with it later. Any time that you would you loved to let loose and dance and flip about. You were the sun and Neteyam was your moon, feeding off your light and energy, keeping him going.
==========
“This seems like a good spot,” You announced as your ikran touched down on the green grass, Neteyam’s landing next to yours. Just as the teen had said there was a nice grassy spot with a pool of water and decent tree coverage.
You dismounted, swinging your leg over and hopping down, rubbing your ikran’s forehead waiting for Neteyam to get off before coming over to him and gently grabbing his wrist, leading him over to the bank to sit. The grass was soft underneath your fingers, your tail swaying gently behind you as you sat.
“So tell me,” You looked over to Neteyam, the two of you sitting shoulder to shoulder, “How has the Olo'eyktan training coming?” Instantly Neteyam winced and shook his head, picking a blade of grass out of the earth and fiddling with it. “I don’t know,” he sighed, “I want to make Dad proud of me, happy that I’m his son. I train as hard as I can, i watch after Kiri, Tuk and Lo’ak.” He groaned, “Do not get me started on Lo’ak. I know he wants Dad to notice him but he keeps going about it the wrong way, it is only pissing him off, then I get in trouble. And dad says, ‘Don’t take the heat for his messes.’ Well when I don’t I still get the heat for them its just-!” Neteyam took a deep breath, unable to think of the words. Neteyam was frustrated, something he wasn’t able to reveal often but when you gently took his hand in yours he instantly was brought back to the present turning to look at you.
“I can not say that I know what you’re going through,” You admitted, being the middle child of three, “I know from watching my sister though that the burden of watching after your siblings, having all that pressure can be crippling, along with you now having Olo'eyktan duties but.” You squeezed his hand and looked up at him, your ears perked. “From what I see you do, you are doing amazing. Your siblings hold you in such high regard, you already have the clan's respect and trust that you’ll protect us in the future. To be so young you’re doing so good.” You reached up to cup the side of his face, “I’m proud of you.”
At your words Neteyam’s eyes pooled with tears and he had to look up at the sky to keep them from falling. You chuckled softly and wrapped your arms around his waist pulling him down into a hug which he instantly reciprocated. “You mean the world to me yawne.” You whispered into his shoulder.
After several moments, you pulled away and Neteyam wiped his eyes and nose, still sniffling. You breathed out a small laugh and cupped his face with your hands once more getting him to look at you.
“Oel ngati kameie” you whispered, putting your foreheads together, your tails subconsciously entertaining. “Oel ngati kameie.” Neteyam whispered back.
For once in his life the teen felt that he had learned what his dad called: happiness. Everything felt perfect, just the two of you in your own little paradise, ready to face the world together.
But sadly, what neither of you would expect, would be the war to come in just a few months time. Humans versus Na’vi, machine versus water, the one battle that defeated the two of you.

Freedom -Part 3

Pairing- Sully family x niece!reader
WC- 2,005
Genre- fluff, maybe a little bit of angst?
Warnings- siblings being siblings, lots of hate on Spider, the whole family are sassy 😭
A/n- Hiii! I had to half this because it was getting to long so there is going to be a part 2 to part 3 😂 ALSO I just want to say thank you for everyone liking this! And I’m sorry that I haven’t reply to those who messaged! I would but every time I do my other account shows and says that I written it from that one, but thank you to those who have messaged saying that they want to be tagged and that they like the story so far!
Quick info- Y/n- 12 years old, Spider- 11 years old, Neteyam- 10 years old, Kiri- 9 years old, Lo’ak- 9 years old, Tuk- 3 years old.
Tumblr media
Waking up slowly, y/n heard the wild animals out in the forest and in the sky, she felt the wind brush across her bear arms and legs, she also felt the heavy pressure of her brother, Neteyam, leg across her stomach as he snored still peacefully sleeping, and also heard a small high pitched voice right next to them.
“Y/n! Neteyam!”
She felt small hands grip onto her body, pushing her every so often as they switched between her and her brother.
“Leave me alone.” She muttered under her breath, turning on her side shooing the person away, as well as pushing her brother off of her, to which he grunted as his foot harshly fell on the floor. She heard the person whine, smacking her arm slightly as they sat back down.
“Here, watch this.” She heard another voice whisper.
It was silent after that, small foot steps running out of their family hut. Finally the hut returned back to it’s peaceful state, no screaming kids, no fights, just the wind, waterfalls, and the animals she would hear every so often.
Peace and quiet.
Y/n finally felt herself drift off back to sleep, that was until she felt cold water splash onto her face. She gasped as she sat up, eyes locking onto Lo’ak and Kiri, holding a wooden bowl between them. Not only did the water splash her but her brother that laid next to her.
“Lo’ak.” Neteyam hissed out.
“Run.” Mumbled Kiri.
“Tsk, skxawngs.” Y/n said under her breath, her two younger siblings running out of the hut screaming and laughing as their older brother ran after them, dodging their mother, who was holding a sleepy Tuktirey on her hip, on the way out of the hut.
“What is happening?” Asked Netyiri, stroking Tuk’s hair as she walked further into their family hut.
“Lo’ak and Kiri are just being Lo’ak and Kiri.” She replied wiping the remaining water off of her face. Netyiri scoffed, looking towards the direction of where her children ran off toward.
“You should follow after them.” She stated, sitting down and placing Tuk in front of her, going through her braids, undoing some and re-braiding it to make them neater as her hair kept growing at unimaginable speed.
“But why? They are fine going by themselves now!”
Netyiri tutted as she looked up, narrowing her eyes at y/n as if daring her to try and challenge her.
Y/n groaned, dramatically falling to her side.
“They want to meet with the stray cat, and I don’t trust them alone together.” Netyiri said, continuing with her work.
The stray cat as people like to call him around the Omatikaya clan, is a small pink fleshed kid with dirty blonde dreadlocks called Spider. She can’t remember how he came to be and how he and her siblings became friends but she did know one thing, and that was that she did not like this kid. He wears the clothes of Na’vi and paints blue markings onto himself saying that he’s Na’vi, which you found utterly embarrassing. But no matter what he says or what he does, in Y/n’s books he will never be classed as a Na’vi. Never.
Not only was he human but he was always getting himself into trouble and dragging Lo’ak with him. And who had to save them. Y/n. Of course she doesn’t want to save him, but then her siblings start crying and hitting her saying that they will tell their Mother and Father. Not that Netyiri really cares what happened to the stray, but Y/n would rather save the pink fleshy thing rather than the scolding of Jake a hundred times over.
Y/n groaned once more before standing up, grabbing her knife and securing it around her hips before slowly walking out of the hut in the directions of where her younger brothers and sister ran off toward.
“Tsk, children.” Netyiri sighed under her breath.
Y/n walked past members of the clan who bowed their head at the young girl, which the young Na’vi did the same. Although she wouldn’t be the next Olo’eyktan (because Jake and Netyiri aren’t her biological Mother and Father), she was still the oldest daughter of the Olo’eyktan and Tsakarem, as well as her biological Father being the Olo’eyktan before dying in battle and her Mother that was meant to be the future Tsahìk but never got to finish her Tsakarem due to the sky people.
Y/n walked into Mo’at’s hut, who was sitting in the centre, a stone motor in one hand and a pessel in the other, grinding herbs and plants making medical pastes for the injured and sick Na’vi, her grandmother grumbling under her breath about what she need to do and get.
“Grandmother.”
Mo’at hummed in response, picking up other herbs and placing them in the motor.
“Do you know where my brothers and sister have run off to?”
“How would I know. They are not my children to look after.” She grunted.
Y/n rolled her eyes. Although it didn’t look like it, she had a really close relationship with her grandmother, and spent most of her time with her if she wasn’t with her siblings. She liked spending time with her grandmother, not only did she get taught special remedies, rituals and learnt more about Eywa but she learnt a lot about her mum and dad as well as her grandfather.
“Grandmother, please.” She begged.
Mo’at sighed as she placed down her belongings, turning her head to face Y/n, “They came in here made a mess, then ran off saying something about meeting someone.”
Y/n groaned, rushing out of her grandmothers hut and toward the edge of the village, her grandmother calling out to her, “you better watch that attitude, y/n or your younger siblings will pick up on it!”.
As Y/n got to the edge of the village she saw her siblings giggling with each other as they slowly made their descent down, jumping on vines connecting to other mountains and trees.
Running over she came to a stop just beside Lo’ak, roughly ruffling his head, which he pushed her hand off him, hissing.
“Are you lot going to meet the stray?” She asked.
Kiri rolled her eyes, “he has a name you know. It’s Spider.”
“Yeah, yeah.”
“We’re going to meet dad after for training.” Neteyam said, skipping to the other side of a vine and jumping down onto the forest floor. Y/n hummed in acknowledgment, jumping down and turning around to help her younger siblings down.
Once she made sure all her siblings where on the forest floor safely, she nodded to Neteyam to take lead, to which he turn around quickly and took off, “first one there wins!” He shouted, jumping over and ducking under fallen logs.
“Hey! That’s no fair, Neteyam!” Lo’ak screamed, chasing after him.
Y/n let out a loud laugh, she enjoyed these times where her younger siblings could relax and just enjoy themselves rather than making sure they was on their best behaviour since their father was Olo’eyktan and Toruk Makto, although that didn’t stop them from miss behaving on certain occasions.
Y/n grabbed Kiri, putting her on her back as she ran after her two brothers. Throughout the forest all that could be heard was the young Na’vi children laughing and shouting at each. The animals of Pandora watched as the siblings would push each other trying to take the lead of the group, jumping up into trees to run across the thick branches or leaping across small streams of water, laughing and teasing one another if one of them had slipped or got hit in the face by a branch.
Their laughter continued as they came to stop in the clearing. Y/n sitting at the bottom of a trunk, looking up at the leaves as the sun beamed down between them, she basked in the sunlight, feeling the warmth seep into her skin, “when is he meant to be meeting you?”
The three younger siblings looked around the forest, keeping their eye open for the small human boy. “Soon.” Stated Lo’ak, Kiri nodding along with him.
Y/n hummed, “well you know the rules, don’t go to far.”
“Yes.” Lo’ak groaned out, rolling his eyes.
A few minutes later a young boy wearing a mask emerged from the forest along with a large Avatar, who she recognised as Spider and Norm.
Norm was rambling on about something in English to the boy, which he kept reply yes to. Although Y/n didn’t know a lot of English like her younger siblings do, she could alway pick out a few words here and there.
“Ah! Y/n, I didn’t know you would be here!” Norm said in Na’vi.
Y/n grunted, “I’m here to look after my younger siblings. Make sure they don’t get into trouble.”
Although y/n didn’t like the sky people, despise them. She had a few she didn’t mind, despite her attitude, one of them being Norm (though she found it weird that he could go from human to Avatar with a click of a button), Max and Grace, although she had passed away, y/n felt like she knew her though the stories that the elders, Jake and Norm have told her. And let’s not forget about Jake. She remembered when she first found out that he was originally one of them, she felt horrified. But as she grew she became to love him like a father, how he fought for her family, her land. But in her books he was no longer a sky person, a human. He was Na’vi, a brother to the Omatikaya people.
“Ohhh, okay.” Norm replied, believing that the young Na’vi just wanted to hang out with her siblings and Spider, but because of how stubborn she was she would never let anyone know that she wanted to play with a human boy.
Y/n grunted as she rolled her eyes, looking across the forest, not wanting to indulge with Norm.
Then finally came the time when Norm was saying his goodbyes, not before talking Spider’s ear off about being safe and sticking with the Sully’s and to listen to Y/n.
As Norm disappeared into the forest, the children quickly started talking to each other, telling one another what they have missed from the two days they have been separated from each other, before they decided that it was time to play.
“Hey Y/n, do you want to play with us?” Spider asked, walking up to the girl who remained sitting down.
“I’m good, Stray.” She replied nonchalantly, although there was a hint of venom behind her words.
Spider let out a harsh breath, shaking his head in frustration as he turned, walking towards Lo’ak, “Why is she always so mad at me.”
Lo’ak let out a loud laugh, his head tilted back as if he heard the funniest joke in the whole world. Spider raised an eyebrow at his friend.
“No. No you got all wrong, cuz.” Lo’ak shook his head, placing his hand on his shoulder, “she just doesn’t like humans all that much.”
Spider scoffed, “are you sure? It seems like she only hates me. Do you think it’s because she found out who my father was.”
“No, trust me. If she knew who you was related to she would probably kill you. I mean, I’d kill you if you killed my parents.” Lo’ak shrugged his shoulders.
“Lo’ak.” Spider hissed.
“Anyway let’s go play! We have to meet our dad for training later, so we might not have enough time to play.” Lo’ak said, pushing Spiders shoulder before running in the direction he saw Neteyam and Kiri run off towards.
Before Spider left, he turned his head looking towards where Y/n was sitting, leaning on the trunk, her head against the tree bark as she stared up into the sky, watching the Ikran fly throughout the mountains.
He let out a sigh before following his friend.
It seems that whatever he did she would always take a disliking towards him.

Undiscovered Future - Pt. 4
Hi everyone! Sorry for no updates recently, school has swamped me, but I have a bit of a break now and hope to keep frequent updates again! This part is around 1k words and is all family fluff, hope you enjoy!
__________________________________________________________
Integrating into the family had come with its difficulties, Jake was more military sergeant than father, but having grown up in a military environment Savanna felt comfortable falling into a soldier's role quickly. Even after being a part of the Sully family for a month, Savanna had not had any solid fatherly bonding with Jake, apart from their brief talk the first night. Neytiri had quickly accepted the girl, filling the role of protectful mother and teaching her the ways of the Omaticaya. The one member of the family who had taken to Savanna the most, and now followed her around like a lost puppy was the most unexpected, Neteyam. He would spend every moment not spent training at her side, Neteyam having such high standards as the eldest couldn’t help feeling clinging to the attention his older sister gave him.
Climbing off her Ikiran and lowering Tuk, Savanna approached Neteyam with a sly smile. “Yam! Tuk and I brought you a surprise!”
Although drenched in sweat from a hard day of training with Jake, Neteyam couldn’t help but grow giddy and his ears perked up. Neteyam tried not to appear too eager and hold his face neutral, but if anything he appeared constipated. Savanna and Tuk burst into a fit of giggles. Looking mildly offended, Neteyam side-eyed them, “I don’t understand what’s so funny!” standing to leave he finished, “I am exhausted, and won’t participate in whatever trick the two of you have planned!”
Rushing over to grab his arm Savanna tried to compose herself, “I’m sorry! You just were trying so hard to be serious, and it isn't working too well!” receiving a scowl she continued, “Anyways Tuk, can you give Yam Yam his surprise?” Rushing over with a carefully folded leaf, Tuk smiling and still recovering from her fit of giggles, handed Neteyam his gift.
Carefully unwrapping the leaf, Neteyam softened, “Yovo fruit! They are actually my favourite.” Appearing bashful now, with his tail between his legs, Neteyam started to eat. The tension of the day slowly fading from his shoulders and making a small smile grace his lips.
“I know, you mentioned your Yovo craving about a million times, so Tuk and I went to grab you some.” Smiling at the happiness radiating from her little brother, Savanna couldn’t be happier.
“Thank you Tuk!” Lifting his youngest sister off the ground with the arm not occupying his favourite snack, “Take one and head home alright.”
Giving Neteyam a kiss on the cheek and jumping out of his arms, Tuk ran off in the direction of their hut giggling. Turning to Savanna, Neteyam embraced her and put his head on her shoulder. “Thank you Sav.”
Wrapping her arms around Neteyam, she began to rock on her heels, “Anything for my little brother! You are working so hard Yam, you need to have a break sometimes.” Getting only a grunt in response Savanna pulled him back to look at her, “Neteyam. You need to take care of yourself! Can you promise me you’ll try and if you need anything to come talk to me?”
Sighing, Neteyam smiled at his older sister, someone he never thought he would have, and agreed. Shoving his shoulder she said, “Alright then, let us get you to the hut and sleep.”
Walking side by side they both approached the Sully hut, stopping at the entrance. Trying to guide Savanna in, Neteyam was stopped. Looking back he noticed her hesitancy, “Sav, it’s alright. You are family, please start staying in our pod!” Neteyam was very sincere and she knew no one else would mind, but it was hard to cross this barrier. Moving in with the Sully’s felt so big, and she didn’t want to be an intrusion.
Skipping along and seeing Neteyam struggle to coax Savanna into the pod, Loak decided he would try a new tactic. Running up behind his elder sister, Loak quickly hoisted her up and ran into the pod. Savanna shrieked from the sudden movement, and gripped on Loak’s shoulders for dear life. Following quickly behind, Neteyam scowled at his brother, “you idiot! Don’t hurt her!”
Giggling at his brother's protectiveness, Loak just said, “it’s fine bro, she’s in the pod now.” Smugly smiling at Neteyam, who was standing arms crossed and unimpressed, Loak tossed Savanna into the air a little.
“Loak! So help me god, I will skin you if you drop me!” Although Savanna’s words were harsh she couldn’t help giggling, because of the butterflies in her stomach from being tossed. All three of the siblings were bickering back and forth, failing to notice the two adults enter the pod.
Neytiri smiled at her boys and the girl who was becoming her own. Standing at the door with Jake, she leaned on his shoulder, and just enjoyed seeing them all so carefree. Jake had a subtle smile on his face, he was happy that Savanna was integrating so well into all their lives, Heather would be proud of the amazing woman she’s becoming. Finally having had enough of the Bickering, when it turned to insults and name calling Jake interrupted, “Alright, that’s enough!” The three stopped talking and froze, turning to face their father; they weren’t met by anger or disappointment, but by his long lost smile. “Now Loak, put your sister down and get ready for supper.” Gently placing Savanna down, Loak smiled at her and tugged her along to get ready for supper.
When the whole family had enjoyed their meal, Savanna helped Kiri and Neytiri clean up. As she was about to slip out for the night and return to her clans’ borrowed pod, a hand grabbed her shoulder. Turning around sheepishly, Savanna came face to face with a disappointed Kiri, “You’re staying here tonight!”
“Kiri! No one else has seen me yet, just let me go. I will see you tomorrow.” Pleading and giving Kiri her best doe eyes wasn’t appearing to be working, “Ok I’ll stay! Just let my arm go.” Reluctantly Kiri dropped Savanna’s arm and turned around. Savanna then turned to sprint out of the pod, but was stopped when two strong arms lifted her off the ground, “Why does everyone in this family keep picking me up?” Turning to face her kidnapper, Savanna saw Jake was above her.
“It’s past eclipse missy. Also, don't you think it’s time you moved in with your family?” Looking down at his daughter, she turned her head into his chest to hide her wide smile.
Speaking softly Savanna whispered, “I just don’t want to intrude! You all don’t owe me anything, and I’m just happy you view me as family!”
Frowning Jake spoke, “You are not intruding. You are not a burden. You are a Sully, and Sully’s stick together!”

Not a mistake
Found another one that reminds me of Spider. Specifically, his relationships (or lack there of) with everyone around him. He's constantly trying to prove himself to others, that he belongs to the only world he's ever known, that he's not a burden, he's not a demon, he's not a mistake. Listen to this song before watching the movie or while reading The High Ground graphic novels.
I feel like I'm at a standstill
Waitin' for you to tell me I'm okay
If time heals, tell me, why do I kill
Myself tryna show you I'm not a mistake?
I've got qualities that I'm not proud of
I've made promises that I walked out on
I've had days I feel I don't deserve love
So think what you think, just don't call me a
Mistake

Avatar demigod theory
So I’ve had this idea for a while. In the first movie it’s stated that Eywa doesn’t take sides. Now she did send the animals to help win the war, and the animals still attack sky people on sight but what if she wants a more direct approach. And I’m not talking about Kiri here. What if she make the dead she deems worthy into some kind of elemental demigods to help win the war against the sky people.
I think it’d be an interesting way to bring characters back. I can totally see Neteyam because some kind of earth spirit because of how grounded and responsible he was. I could also see Tsu’tey coming back like that or even Neytiri’s sister Sylwanin
