LOVE how things are looking and GOD if I didn't near explode just seeing them together again - Their new puzzle solving animation is SO SO cute!! <3 Seeing them stand shoulder to shoulder working together again is more than my heart can take I'm stupid tired and have too much on my plate rn but I really wanted to draw something for them fdjfhsdf I want to draw something nicer later but!! <3 <3 too exciting!! I'm ecstatic!!

Ok so I went to the official Professor Layton website to see any information on Professor Layton and the New World of steam.

Unfortunately there was no new information, but I did find this image:

Obviously this is only a teaser image, but here are my thoughts:

While the setting is very Laytonesque, I don't believe it is in England. Everything is incredibly advanced and modern looking. It's like a completely different world to the one we know.

It's also interesting that the game is called "The New World of Steam" This hints that it is in an entirely new location all together.

And what place was commonly referred to as "The New World" by explorers? America!

So my theory is that the new Layton game will take place in America.

But why would Layton travel all the way to America?

Because that's exactly where Luke and his family moved to at the end of Unwound Future!

Here's my theory:

Luke and his family went to live in America. They settled down in an incredibly advanced city, powered by steam.

Then, a big mystery happens and Luke wrote to Professor Layton to ask for his help at the end of Unwound Future.

So Layton packed his bags and set sail for America, which we witness in the trailer.

Interestingly enough, Layton can be seen in both the trailer and teaser image, but not his loyal apprentice. This hints that he's made the trip alone. Sorry Flora.

Those are my thoughts. I'm so happy about the new Layton game that I spent ages overanalyzing a teaser image. I'm just so happy!

Luke is finally... FINALLY forklift certified everyone!!! I am going BANANAS over the level 5 vision stream ghkjfg NWOS is going to teach me how to draw weird robots if it kills me apparently so I better just hit the ground running and start figuring it out now (and how to draw their new looks of course hehe;;)
