I mentioned on my recent update journal that me and my family adopted a new puppy.

Meet our new family member, Duchess.

If any of you are wondering what that thing in her ear is. That's a little thingy that keeps her ear pointing up.

Reason its recommended for a german shepherd's ears to be pointed up is because if the ear is folded. There will be an increased risk of ear infections.

Do not worry though, it doesn't hurt her. Its like a little stiff board thing that is just glued to her ( temporary glue ). Think of it as like a ear crutch band aid.

BIG NEWS!!! I'm adopting a Dog soon. Hopefully next week. I have my eyes and heart on one girl in particular but if she gets lucky and finds a good family before I get there I'll still be happy for her. Wish me luck!!! Can't wait to post billions of pictures of Her on here!!!!

“Oh hello!” I greeted Katie’s social worker as I found her wandering about the faire grounds. “Are you here to do a check in with Katie? Wait right here and I’ll go get her-”

“Actually, I need to talk to you and Peter.” I took it that whatever she had to share with the Ratajczyk family were good news, judging by the joyous twinkle in her eyes and the smile twitching at the upper right corner of her stern mouth.

 “Okay, hold on a minute,” I told her before tugging on the chain that bounded my soulmate’s heart to mine, letting him know that he was needed. “He’ll be with us in just a few minutes.” I eyeballed the folder of paperwork with heavy suspicion and anxiety exploded deep within my chest.

 “Sweetheart!” I turned and smiled at Peter, who had arrived at the food court and made a swift beeline over to where I was sitting, waiting for the family’s lunch to be made for transport back to the tent. “What’s the problem here now?”

 “I’ve got good news,” the social worker hummed excitedly. “The judge had given you both the green light to adopt Katie!”

 A choked sob flew out of my mouth and I buried my face into my husband as he sat down next to me.

 “Katie will finally be a Ratajczyk!” I sobbed, overjoyed at the news.

 “I have the paperwork right here, in case you want to file quickly,” she told us, tapping the thick file under her arms.

 “We have to tell Katie!” I sniffled happily.

 “Ratajczyk! Ready order for Ratajczyk!” yelled a worker over at the food booth, and I quickly gathered the food, packed away neatly into paper bags.

 “Come with us, we can break the news to Katie,” Peter ordered us before guiding us back over to the archer’s encampment.

 “Katie! We have big news!” I bubbled once the three of us adults were inside the family tent. Elizabeth, Elle, Katie, Jing, Baby Tommy and little girl were heaped in a giant pile of love and friendships on the big bed that my husband and I both shared with Daisy curled up in her place in front of the door flap.

 “What mommy? What? What?” chanted Katie, looking up from poking at Baby Tommy’s chubby tummy.

 “What do you think of becoming a member of the Ratajczyk family?” I asked her, sitting on my side of the bed and allowing to Baby Tommy and little girl to both crawl into my lap.

 “But I thought I already was?” she frowned, clearly confused.

 “Officially speaking,” Peter told her, taking a seat on his side of the bed. “You won’t be Caitlyn Tiffs anymore, you’ll be Caitlyn Ratajczyk. What do you say?”

 “YES!” she cheered, bouncing up and down as her social worker started to ruffle through the papers in her arms. “YES YES YES YES YES…”

 “Okay, so you’ll need to sigh here…”

 I smiled as notifications dinged on my phone. I had posted a picture of Katie, surrounded by the family as we all gave her a giant hug.

 Almost at once after I posted the news to my Instagram, Type O Negative fans and PeteClaire shippers made their way to the New York Renaissance Faire to offer words of congratulations and bring little gifts to welcome the young child to the Type O Negative family.

 Katie’s favorite gifts were little dollies of her favorite Disney princesses- Mulan and Aurora, along with other costume changes. Elizabeth also received one of Belle and Cinderella along with their everyday dresses and pretty ballgowns from both the live action and original animated films.

 “Look mommy!” Katie crowed excitedly. “Now Jing has a dollie of her very own!”

 I chuckled as I folded an unworn shirt of my older husband’s into a neat square as I busied myself around the family tent by doing period accurate tasks.

 “So she does,” I smiled, moving aside as Elizabeth swept the floor of the tent, expelling out dirt and grass that had been tracked inside at random points during the day.

 Peter stomped into the archer’s encampment just then, having taken Baby Tommy and little girl to go visit the jousting horses. He wore an easy smile over his handsomely bearded face as he carried the babies in his muscular arms. As the three grew closer, I could make out the two Irish babies trying to make horsie noises.

 I chuckled as I held two simple cloth dollies that I had made today- one in a pink dress and the other in a green t-shirt. Peter swooped in on me, depositing the babies into my arms before pushing the lot of us onto our marital bed before pressing a heady kiss to my lips.

 “I love my sweetheart,” he snarled, getting up onto the bed and crowding himself in tightly to my petite frame. “I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you…”

 “I love you, Peter Thomas Ratajczyk,” I murmured with a giggle. “I love you, my handsome silver daddy. Two hundred and one days until we can try for Ratajczyk baby number two.”

 “I can’t wait to knock you up again, amazing sweetheart of mine,” he gasped.

 “Papa Peter Mama Wen Wen ick ick!”

 We broke away from each other with giggles aimed over to where the babies were looking disgusted with our loving each other.

 “Sorry babies,” chortled Peter as he rolled onto his back and scooped up the babies to be pressed against his manly chest. “One day, when you both find someone to love, you’ll understand.”

 “ICK ICK!”
