🙏🏼 Japan is so much fun. There is so much rich culture and traditions here. I had so much fun spending the day with Asami-san @tokyokimonoguidetour. I didn’t want to take my wafuku off! We visited a beautiful shrine and then went to a local festival celebrating the community at a temple nearby. 👏🏼So👏🏼much👏🏼fun. . If any of you are in Tokyo I highly recommend this experience! So, the shot I posted yesterday of the Torii Gates at the Nezu Shrine is actually the same location as this shot. In fact, the entrance to the gates are to the left of this image. ️This is the entrance to the shrine, and to our surprise when we arrived, there was a large group of locals gathering around and stretching. 🤸‍️🧘‍️ At 6:30 AM on the dot ⏰ the radio started to blare out a fun, upbeat exercise program in Japanese 🇯🇵 and all of these people started to stretch and move in unison. Tokyo is famous for its unique blend of tradition and innovation, and if you look carefully you can see this wherever you go. Within the grounds of the Nezu Shrine we could have been in Tokyo of a hundred years ago, but take one step onto the street and new Tokyo is everywhere.
