Cut Chaos Part 3

The day you spent with Ranboo, Tubbo, Wilbur, and Tommy after the store might’ve been the best day you’ve ever had. You’re finally able to breathe again, to laugh again. Smiling had started drifting away from you, but suddenly you were smiling so hard your cheeks hurt.

You almost don’t go home. It’s tempting to stay with Ranboo when he offers up one of their many spare bedrooms (and you do mean many), but you decline. Heading back home, closing the door to your bedroom is easier than it’s ever been. Just living is easier than it used to be.

Collapsing onto your bed, it only takes you a second before you start grinning like an idiot to yourself. Things are back to normal, back to how they should be. Sure, you could still be mad at them for what happened, but you were tired of not being around them. Tired of people being pissed off.

It takes you a full three minutes before you roll onto your side and unlock your phone with Face ID. There’s a plethora of notifications waiting for you, from a group chat that you thought was a ghost town. It makes you grin all over again.

Wilbur so we’re all good now?

Laughing to yourself, you swipe out of messages to open Twitter and scroll on it. You aren’t afraid to open it, not like you used to be. Random tweets would remind you of what you lost, of the various people confused why you lost it, but now you’re just giddy. Overjoyed.

Part of you wanted to announce the plans you made with Wilbur, Tommy, Tubbo, and Ranboo. Scream from the (metaphorical) rooftops of Twitter that you were back. The chaos squad was back.

Another Anon request! I do love a good strangers to lovers storyline and I had a feeling this one would take some time. I got a bit carried away so I reckon this will be a 2 or 3 parter! "Request!!!!! Travis and the reader meet on a club in Vegas they immediately hit it off, as the night continues the enjoy the Vegas strip having fun and once they get to his room travis really shows the reader how much he adores her. Fluff / smut"

CHAPTER 1

The bright lights shone into your eyes as you knocked back another shot. You closed your eyes for a second as the liquid stung down your throat. The club was dimly lit but you could see the excited faces of your two best friends, Nia and Rachel. It was your 30th birthday, and they had taken you away to Vegas for a girls weekend. You had all enjoyed a spa day complete with shopping before throwing on a killer outfit and making a beeline to a club for some drinks.

"That's it girl!" Nia shouted over the music and Rachel grabbed her phone to take a photo of you at the bar.

You threw up your fingers into a peace sign and lifted your knee, posing for the camera as someone caught your eye from across the bar. He was tall, dark, and his eyes had a piercing quality. He was chatting enthusiastically with a friend, moving slightly with the rhythm of the music.

Rachel turned her head to see who had grabbed your attention, "Who you lookin' at?"

You shrugged your shoulders, "I don't know, he looks cute."

She gave another glance before walking closer to you, "Oh my God, he is! So, why don't you go over and talk to him?"

Nia squealed, "Go on, treat yourself to a birthday present."

You all giggled loudly as you looked around but the handsome stranger was suddenly nowhere to be seen.

"Ugh, he's gone. Besides, this is a girls night! I'm sticking with my girls."

Rachel scrunched her nose and took your hand, "Come on, let's get on that dancefloor."

Your hips began to sway as you made your way to the centre of the club, the dancefloor glowing underneath your heeled feet. The music thumped in your ears and you closed your eyes, lifting your hands up above your head. Your chest vibrated with the base, dopamine rushing over you like a gust of wind. Your trance was quickly interrupted when Nia nudged your arm with her elbow.

"He's over there, and he's looking at you." Nia nodded her head over your shoulder.

You lifted your eyebrows quickly and responded by grinding your hips even more, letting the movement accentuate your curves. You turned around slightly, casting your gaze over your shoulder to see the tall stranger leaning against the bar, with his eyes fully fixed on you. His companion was in full conversation but he seemed to be paying his attention elsewhere. You flashed a small smile and your breath hitched when you noticed that his stare moved slowly up and down your body. You turned back to Rachel and Nia, a wide grin dominating your face.

"He's so hot!" You mouthed silently over the loud music.

Rachel pushed your arm softly, "Go! Go!" She mouthed back.

Nia nodded vigorously as you bared your teeth to her, checking for any lipstick or any rogue cocktail garnishing. She gave you a small thumbs up and you took a deep breath before you made your way to the bar, avoiding eye contact with the handsome stranger. Approaching men had never been a problem for you. As a high powered career woman, you enjoyed the thrill of the chase, especially when they seemed to be willing.

As you sauntered past him, you could feel his eyes burning into your skin. You gently placed both hands on the bar as you leaned forward, curving your ass perfectly.

"Can I just get some water, please."

The bartender turned around to grab you a bottle and you felt a hand position itself comfortably on your waist.

"Hey, can I get you a drink?" An unfamiliar voice said from behind you.

You moved your head to the side to see an unknown man unnervingly close to you. He grinned back at you, gripping your waist. Your eyebrows narrowed quickly and you stepped away from him.

He advanced closer to you, "Come on honey, I saw those moves out there. You can't tell me that they weren't for me." His longish blonde hair framed his face and you studied his bright eyes with confusion.

You angled your body to face his, speaking with a dominant tone, "Okay, two things. My dancing is not for you. And I'm not your 'honey'." You pushed his hand away sharply, resulting in a perplexed look from him.

"Playing hard to get, huh?"

You were beginning to get annoyed by his persistence, "I'm not playing anything. I'm just not interested."

He returned his hand to your side, a little lower than the first time, "Oh, come on honey-" He began.

You lowered your voice, "I told you, I'm not your 'honey'. Now, I've already said that I'm not-"

"Hey baby." Another voice said from behind you, "Is everything okay?"

You looked up to be met with your tall, dark admirer. His eyes creased into a smile and you looked back at him with a thankful expression, "Yeah, sure." You said calmly.

The blonde man quickly moved away, stepping back with wide eyes, "Uh man, I'm so sorry, Travis." He cleared his throat and shook the tall man's hand briskly, "I'm sorry, man. Have a good night."

As the blonde strange disappeared into the crowd, you turned around, "So, Travis? Are you famous or something?"

He looked down at his feet, rubbing his palms together, "Something like that."

As he took a step closer to you, you were suddenly hit with the scent of his intoxicating cologne. A warm smell of sandalwood and bergamot enveloped you and you reached for the bottle of water that was waiting for you on the bar, "I didn't need you to rescue me, you know?"

Travis smiled, "I'm sure you didn't, but it was a great way to get to speak to you." He paused, "Or are you going to shoot me down like that poor dude?"

You smirked, "Nah, you're safe."

He turned to lean his back against the bar, "So, girl's night, huh?"

You took a quick sip from your water, "Yeah, we're here for the weekend. It's my birthday."

He raised his eyebrows, "Happy Birthday! So, can I buy the birthday girl a shot?"

You stepped closer to him, tilting your head, "Of course."

You glanced towards the dancefloor to see Rachel and Nia gaping their mouths at you, clenching their fists in delight. Travis hadn't noticed as he was speaking to the bartender, his strong arms resting on the countertop. Your eyes drifted across his bulging muscles and you swore you felt a throb in your underwear. You gave the girls a feverish expression, earning a resounding laugh from them.

Travis turned his head towards you and glanced downwards, "I gotta say, you are looking fine."

Your cheeks flushed faintly with red and your core ached at his words, "Thank you, Travis."

He paused before laughing, "Not returning the compliment? Okay, I get it."

You stared him down, "Oh please. You know you look good. Don't pretend you haven't noticed the dozens of girls looking over at you."

"Well, you've clearly noticed. Is that a hint of jealousy there?"

You scoffed, "I don't get jealous. Besides I'm here and they're there."

Two shots of tequila were placed in front of you and you both picked one up, holding it out towards each other.

Travis looked at you deeply, "You gotta give the other person eye contact or you'll have bad sex for seven years."

"I never have bad sex." You said quickly before tipping the tequila into your mouth. Travis reciprocated but coughed as he registered what you had said.

He covered his mouth, wiping away some of the shot that had moistened his short beard, "Is that so?"

"Thanks for the drink." You threw him a wink and turned back to the dancefloor, strutting back to Rachel and Nia, leaving Travis with his jaw open and his mind wandering.

There's nothing I love more than writing a flirty Kelce. I just reckon his flirting skills are top level. Forum for talking to, about and around superheros. Kara has two, one for SG, and one for Kara. So does Lena, one for Lena and one for her anonymous side...

The problem happens when Lena needs to open up. And, well, SG has an AMA page, so... She does...

Alex told her it was a bad idea in the first place. One mis-click, one tiny detail of information, one post too many, can out her sercret as the caped crusader in red and blue. Kara did it anyway. One account for herself, Kara Danvers, cub reporter for CATCO magazine. And one account for the cities resident superhero, Supergirl.

Kara’s account took some time to gain traction, whereas Supergirls account blew up overnight. Millions of followers, thousands of DM's and all she did was post a short video of herself flying over the city, waving at her phone for a split second before accidentally dropping her phone, catching it mid-air, sighing when she looked at her phone to see the freshly cracked screen, and sheepishly asking if anyone knows a good phone repair store.

Alex kept saying to shut it down, J'ohn shrugged, saying something about it not being his monkey or is circus, Nia took a video for her own account as dreamer, of Supergirl , picking up a cold slice of pizza and just as she was about to take a bite she hesitated. Looking around for brief moment, Supergirl then laser-eyed the pizza slice until the cheese was bubbling, and finished the slice in 4 bites.(tagging Supergirl in the video of course)

Kara thought it was a fun way for people to get to ask a Kryptoian a question, and no matter how much Alex argued Kara set up an anonymous 'Ask me anything!' Button on her Supergirl page and let the questions roll in. She decided every Thursday night she would answer questions on a live stream from the clouds or a skyscraper rooftop, and show the world the hidden part of herself.

Everything went smoothly until, maybe 3 weeks in.

She didn't know why, or if the universe hated her and wanted to watch the world burn, but tonight was a...different...difficult live stream.

"You saved me last weekend. How can I ever repay you? 😛😘"

Kara stared at the question on the screen. The floods of hearts and crying laughing emojis queuing her in on how this wasn't a normal question.

"This sounds like the beginning of a porno"

" thirsty Thursday amirite?"

"I have no money, but what if I can pay you in...something else?"

"Bow chicka wow wowwww"

The more she read the comments the harder she blushed and she soon found herself hovering in the sky, legs crisscrossed, and free hand pressed to her lips in a way that the chat on the live stream could only interpret as " Oh God what have I done?".

"So, well, no payment needed. Just glad I can help. I don't understand the winking but I don't think I want to get into that so...happy to help!" Supergirl answers after a full three minutes of blushing. She quickly presses the next button to read the next question.

"The feminine urge to get railed my Supergirl in a her outfit with the skirt. Could you oblige?"

She curses in kryponese. She curses so fast and so harsh that the live stream chat practically vomits crying laughing and heart emojis. She's suddenly regretting this live stream, the account, and the damned 'Ask Me anything button'.. if Alex could see her now.

"I, uh, well," Kara stammers as the view count ticks past 100,000 people. "So, the thing is-"

"Railed with the pants tho!!"

"LOL someone forgot to screen her questions..."

"Can I volunteer? Wait..hold on..can..wait.. hold on...both? Can I have? Hold on..."

"Supergirl strikes me as a bottom actually..."

"A bottom? Why would you-" Kara almost face palms . She knew reading the chat comments could be trouble. The chat suddenly floods with a flurry of " SUPERTOP" and "SUPERSUB" and Kara regrets 100% of her life choices.

" Listen guys, I'm, well I actually prefer, okay uh." Kara shakes her head, almost caught herself answering the wrong question. "The skirt is in storage. Sorry." She finishes with a blush so red she fears it will never go away. She presses the next button, hopefully the next question will be more tame.

"I want to lick your biceps. Send tweet."

"Oh my Rao, you have the wrong platform." Kara rushes to say and taps the next question button.

"The next time you save me im asking you out on a date FYI."

The chat erupts in emojis, and comments are flashing on the screen so fast Kara can't attempt to read them for more than 2 seconds. She screen is so bright from the messages and the emojis, she briefly drops her phone but thankfully manages to get back in her grasp.

"Oh Rao, who even are you?!" She squeaks at her phone.

"Damn I wish that were me."

"The gays are absolutely feral tonight."

"Do you think she has abs of steel??????"

Kara’s about to hit next when she phone buzzes with a text from Alex.

"Told u so. SHUT IT DOWN. BTW lol...ur face"

"Oh no!" Kara horrifically fake gasps. "There's been a crime!" She pretends to hear sirens. "Sorry everyone! Gotta go find a date! I mean- get a date! SAVE! Save my date! -Rao take me." Kara sighs and lowers her phone away from her camera screen. She feels her blush burn her cheeks as if they were on fire. She takes a deep breath and lifts her phone up again. " I-" Kara groans as she reads a few chats about "gay panic" and decides to just be done with this horrendous live stream. "I can't even try to come back from that. Sorry everyone I gotta go" she says as the view counter ticks past 400,000.

Kara ends the live stream and starts to fly towards the DEO. As she flys past L-corp she can't help but notice the sound of a familiar voice thats shes 90% positive belongs to Lena Luthor, cry laughing so hard that she ends up struggling to breathe.

ngl. I have in fact been thinking about a 911 love and monsters au. which ik isn't the You Know What that u were probably wanting but uh. I have no control over my brain alas

LET ME SET THE SCENE.

love and monsters takes place about 7 years after nuclear missiles sent to destroy a world destroying asteroid rained debris down on earth and mutated all of the insects, reptiles, and amphibians into massive monsters. around 95% of the human population was wiped out from these monsters, and the survivors formed underground colonies where they could hide and survive. the colonies stayed connected via radio (which is one of my fav tropes in apocalypse media btw <3333) the plot of the movie happens because the main character leaves his colony and travels over 80 miles over monster-infested land to get to his girlfriend's colony, but in this au things would be. a little different <3

buck and maddie are separated when things first went to shit. maddie was with doug, and ofc she tried to find buck but wasn't able to in all the chaos. the buckley parents are killed by a monster (god fucking bless) (right in front of buck tho..alas) and a group of strangers pull a shocked + terrified buck into the back of their truck to get the hell outta dodge (this group of strangers later becomes his colony aka found family. u already know who they are <3) buck's colony consists of bobby + athena (haven't decided if they're together yet or not) + michael + kids, chim, and hen + karen + kids (nia is there <3 her family was killed in the initial monster attacks and henren took her in).

meanwhile, maddie ended up in a colony clear on the other side of the country. she escaped from doug (and a giant slug did everyone a favor and sat on him) and found her way to a colony consisting of the call center!! sue, linda, josh, etc!! they took her in and they're fambly ur honor.

at the 118 colony (what I'm calling it for the sake of telling them apart), buck manages to find maddie's colony on the radio and reconnect with her. his bestfriendbrother chim would sometimes hop on to chat and well. madney fall in love with each other over the radio. btw. just by the sound of each other's voices. if u even care.

and ANYWAY the plot happens when buck, desperate to be reunited w his sister, sneaks out of the colony to cross the country to find her colony. despite ykw. the horrors. (and I'm thinking this is kinda s1 buck where he's more goofy and less responsible and so bobby is sooo against him leaving because there's no way he'd be able to survive out there !?!? with horrific beasts trying to kill him every 5 steps !?!?) and chim catches buck sneaking out and they have the whole "please please don't get me in trouble" "I'm going WITH you lol" convo (and this is early s1/s2 chim as well because he feels out of place with the colony where everyone has someone to take care of (partner or kids) and he's also kind of afraid that even if he lives long enough to get to maddie's colony she won't feel the same way etc etc) BUT REGARDLESS. they both set out for maddie's colony and leave bobby a note that basically says "don't be mad xox" (bobby is, in fact, mad). however before they leave they're also caught by ATHENA. who actually decides to go with them because on god SOMEONE has to make sure they don't die in the first 2 miles. (and also she trusts bobby to protect her family while she's gone. btw. if u even care) so the team consists of chim, buck, and athena !! (I wanted to go for the maddie kidnapping arc kinda vibe....except chim is also there...)

ANYWAY. somewhere along the way they need to split up and so buck ends up on his own (but like they all know where they're going and all that so ykw. it's fine) and he. runs into a kid. off on his own in the middle of the fucking apocalypse. the kid (U KNOW) got separated from his dad and is trying to find him, and they were also traveling to a Safe Place in the mountains where it's too cold for most monsters to go but chris doesn't know which way to go and he wants to find his dad first. now buck realistically thinks that said dad is probably dead. I mean cmon. but he doesn't want to tell the kid that so he decides to bring chris with him (there's a certain point where chris and eddie were planning to turn north to the mountains and buck is taking chris to at least that point) and well. he doesn't really know what he's gonna say to the kid once they get there because he really doesn't think chris should be out by himself but he doesn't know how to tell him that his dad is most likely dead. ykw. angst. meanwhile eddie is traveling w a small group (haven't decided who yet) and DESPERATELY trying to find chris. and also, incidentally, heading to the Point Where He'd Turn North because that was the place they'd agreed to meet if they got separated. meanwhile chim and athena are also trying to find buck. everyone tryna find each other out here istg

ANYWAY chris + buck run into eddie's group and well. gay shenanigans ensue. u already know <3 (lots of similar elements to the existing apocalypse au.....because I care them...) and then they find athena and chim and then they find maddie's colony <3 buckley sibling reunion AND madney. double whammy <3 the colony maddie is at isn't very safe because monsters are getting close, and so they were about to leave to go to the Safe Place In The Mountains. buck chim and athena realize they should probably bring their colony there, too. so they head BACK to their colony (maddie and eddie go with them...chris was supposed to go w maddie's colony to the safe place but he snuck to go w his dad instead)

meanwhile back at the 118 colony, monsters have started breaching the underground bunker and so they were forced to leave and go aboveground to find a new place. the two groups run into each other and have a joyful reunion (buck + chim are now verifiable badasses who have survived for weeks on the surface btw <3) and then they all go to the mountain colony together. and scene <3

some notes: eddie has a sketchbook where he's drawing + cataloging every monster he encounters (sorta like. a How To Survive guidebook vibe) (because artist eddie is soo important to me) (it's for chris in case eddie doesn't make it so chris would still have a chance). also chim gets a dog companion <3

Chapter 3: The Long Day

Everyone was sitting at the dining room table, grabbing their food, talking, and laughing. It was nice to just sit there and watch, but of course, the guys noticed I was watching and not participating. I was waiting for them to get their food before I grabbed some for myself, like I had done the night before, (you think I would have remembered). The next thing I know, each of them picked out a food item and put it on my plate. Within seconds, I had a full plate. “If you wait on us, there would be no food left Nia. We ARE growing kids.” Seungmin said laughing.

“I thought we established no waiting on us last night?” Chan said teasingly.

“Oh, sorry! Still not used to eating with a group so I was just trying to feel it out. Thank you, guys!” I nod and look down at my plate.

“Oh?” asked Felix. “Well now you have us to eat with!” he said with his usual big smile. I giggle but remember they leave tomorrow night for the next stop on their tour. I didn’t say anything to bring down the mood. “Mmhmm!” I respond as I put some food in my mouth. Everyone starts talking again about the games and who is going to go first and who is going to win.

Once everyone is done eating, I get up and excuse myself. I take my plate to the kitchen and then ask if I can grab a bottle of water. Lee Know is the first one to respond, “Of course, grab whatever you want!” I smile and thank him. I stand in the kitchen and drink my water trying to process it. Felix walks in and smiles. He truly is Mr. Sunshine; he just smiles, and you can feel the warmth radiating off him like a mid-summer day. “You doing okay Nia?” he asks.

“Oh… yeah! I’m good. Just collecting myself …” I smile.

“Yeah sorry, we can be a lot. You eventually get used to the chaos and then it’s the silence that can become overwhelming.” He said sympathetically.

“Ehh, I’m used to the silence. It’s been a very long time since I have been around a group of people and been comfortable. You guys feel like ‘home’ if that makes any sense.” As soon as the words left my mouth, I became a bit more embarrassed that I confessed that to Felix. We haven’t even known each other for 24 hours but I wasn’t lying when I said I was comfortable. I’ve been on my own since I was 17 and now being 25, I mainly just work and take care of Aeris. Working remotely allowed me to travel freely without worrying about losing my job. My sleeping habits also help adjust my time zones to my work’s time zones.

“Well, I am glad we feel like that to you. It’s nice to have that, and we are aware of how it feels. We do enjoy having you around. It’s fun and relaxing.” He smiles sweetly.

While I could get used to spending time with them, I know it won’t last. The fact that I even met them, let alone spent this MUCH time with them was a one in a gazillion chance. How did the girl who has never had anything but bad luck, basically hit the lottery? I zoned out a little trying to figure out everything in my head and then there was a little wave in front of me. Felix looked concerned waving his hand in front of me, “You okay Nia?”

I blinked and then shook my head a little, “Yeah, I’m good Felix, sorry was just thinking and kind of zoned. Sorry!”

Felix smiled slightly and grabbed my hand, “Nia… we still have the rest of today and even tomorrow to hang out. I know we leave tomorrow night but now I have your number and we will for sure keep in touch! We can even video chat.”

“I’m very thankful for that Felix.” I feel tears starting to form but I don’t want to start crying in front of him.

“Can I give you a hug?” he asked with his arms open.

“Of course! Who in their right mind would refuse you a hug!?” I laughed. He gave me his version of a bear hug and it was what I needed. Next thing I know, Chan walks in and goes “Hugs!? Can I get one!?” I nod and hold out my left arm, Chan comes up and gets in the hug with Felix and me. After a little while, we stopped hugging and went back into the dining room.

When we got back to the dining room table the rest of the group had already started a game of Uno. Ended up witnessing the battle of the Draw +2s and Draw +4s and I couldn’t help but laugh. Like the video that had gone around of Felix and Chan’s epic Uno battle, this just involved 6 people. Seungmin was excited to have been able to give Lee Know a Draw +4, just for Lee Know to have one as well. He placed his down and then looked at Han with a wide smile. “Uno! Draw 8, Hannie! Also, the color is now blue.”

Han looked worried at first but then pulled a blue Draw +2 card out. He looked to his left and Changbin had already slammed down his Green Draw +2 card. “I’m not drawing all those cards!” he said through giggles. Everyone turned and looked at Hyunjin who was next in line. “So unfair… but not for me!” as he puts down his Draw +2. The one who ended up having 14 cards was the Maknae himself. He looked at everyone stunned, “This is not how you treat your maknae!” pretending to pout. I.N. ended up skipping Seungmin as his punishment, which allowed Lee Know to place down his last card and win this round.

“I am glad I brought Uno for us to play,” I told Felix and Chan while everyone was laughing and cleaning up all the cards.

“Us too, right Felix?” Chan laughed. “Yeah, it was a great idea, poor little Maknae!” as he ruffled up I.N.’s hair.

“I don’t think that that’s the proper way to play Uno…” as he pulls up the tweet Hasbro had put out saying you can’t stack Draw +2’s.

“That’s always been the way I grew up playing, but I’m also old compared to you Innie.” I laughed.

“You are the same age as me, Nia…” Chan looked at me shocked I would say 25 is old.

“You both are almost half-52!!!” Seungmin yelled from the other side of the living room. The next thing you see is Mr. Kangaroo Bang Chan hopping over a couch to chase Seungmin down. Seungmin expected as much and made it into the bathroom, closing and locking the door with seconds to spare before Chan reached him. “You are so beyond lucky Minnie!” Chan yelled playfully at the door.

Chan walked back over to Felix and me. I was still laughing at the mad chaos of this living room. It was great to see them being so carefree. Changbin walked over to me with a big smile on his face already. “Pool?” he asked.

“Um, the pool that involves pool cues or floaties?” I asked. “You guys have both so you gotta be a bit more specific.”

Changbin points to the pool table. I nod and walk over with him. “I have no idea how to play pool honestly,” I told him.

Lee Know walks up, “I’ll help you.” He smiled.

“Thanks, Lee Know,” as I grabbed a pool cue. Changbin racks the cue balls in the middle of the other end and then puts the white cue ball where it’s supposed to be. “Ladies first…” he says with a slight bow.

“Why thank you, good sir…” I step up to the table. Changbin showed me how to stand and how to break. I was able to hit the cue balls and make them scatter. None went in but he told me it was not bad for my first time playing. Chan and Hyunjin came over to watch Changbin and I go head-to-head. Felix, Han, Seungmin, and IN all started singing karaoke in the living room. When Changbin went to take his turn, Lee Know proceeded to crouch in front of where Changbin was aiming and making faces. This resulted in giggles from everyone else and Changbin telling Lee Know that he was cheating in between laughing. I am doing terrible at this game and Lee Know offers to “play on my behalf” which ends up in even more protests from Changbin. Lee Know just scowled at Changbin and said, “You cheated first by going against a person who’s never played before!” I just shook my head laughing and watched them go a few rounds of pool. Sometimes popping over into the living room to sing along with the half doing karaoke.

Chan’s alarm goes off on his cell and he gets up, “Who wants to help with dinner? I got the grill.”

“I can help,” I say smiling.

“You’re a guest Nia, no need to help.” He said.

“Chan if you don’t let me help, I am going to feel guilty,” I said with a pout.

“Fine, fine, fine, I guess you can help Lee Know and Felix make some sides.” He turns to the rest of the members, “I need you guys to get everything else situated so we can have dinner in a bit.”

After a few “okays” everyone is off doing what they are supposed to do. I help Lee Know and Felix in the kitchen working on sides for dinner.

“Hey Felix, I know y’all leave tomorrow night. Will you guys have time in the morning for breakfast?” I asked.

“Yeah, if we wake up at a decent time, we should have plenty of time for breakfast. Do you want to come over and eat with us?” he asked smiling.

“I was wondering if y’all would be okay with me making breakfast for you. It's my thanks for allowing me to come to hang out with you guys for so long and whatnot.” I avoided eye contact because I didn’t want to tear up while asking.

“That would be great! Ya know you could just stay here for the night, and we could wake up early and make breakfast together.” He says.

“Oh, I couldn’t intrude on y’all like that. You have already allowed me to be here so much as it is.” I say shaking my head.

“It would make more sense for you to stay here Nia. Less travel and you’d be able to wake up bright and early to cook like you want.” Lee Know chimes in.

“Well, it does make sense, but I also have to go check on Aeris,” I said looking at Lee Know.

Lee Know stops chopping up the cabbage and looks at me, “Aeris?”

“Oh, Aeris is my cat. She’s about a year old. Wanna see a picture?” I smile.

“Does he want to see a picture? Did you ask the number one cat person if he wants to see a picture of your cat? Of course, he does” Felix says laughing.

“Ahh sorry”, I pull out my phone and show a picture of Aeris on my blanket that she stole with her tongue sticking out. “This is Aeris. She likes to steal my blanket all the time.”

Lee Knows smiles and calls for Chan. Changbin watches the grill while Chan comes to the kitchen.

“Can Nia stay in the guest room tonight? She would like to make breakfast in the morning. Felix and I are going to go back with her to her place so she can grab some stuff and check on her kitten.” He says matter of factly.

Chan looks between Lee Know, Felix, and me. “I mean I don’t see why not; we would just need to check with everyone to see if they are okay with that. I'll be right back.” He turns and walks back out to talk to the others.

“Lee Know!!!” I am completely shocked that we went from 0 to 100 so quickly. He just smiles and goes back to cutting up cabbage like nothing happened. Felix is laughing to himself and trying to avoid eye contact with me, so he doesn’t laugh any harder.

Chan comes back over with a smile on his face. “Everyone else is fine with it. You have already shown that you are genuinely here for us as people, and they are all very comfortable around you. Seungmin and Hyunjin offered to come take over here so you can head to your place and get some items. The driver will be here in about 10 minutes.”

“Oh wow, this is happening,” I say quietly to myself. Next thing I know, I have Lee Know and Felix with me heading to my house. It was already getting dark, so they were able to conceal themselves with hats and masks. When we walked into my house Lee Know whistles.

“Your house is very nice Nia,” he says but then he stops in his tracks when he hears Aeris meowing. “Aeris?”

I nodded and walked over to pick her up. She gives me a few head bumps and rubs her cheek on my nose. “Well, hello there my kitty mrow mrows.” She immediately starts purring and looks at Lee Know. Felix scratches her head, and she enjoys it but continues to stare at Lee Know. Felix giggles and I hand Aeris over to Lee Know. “Aeris, Lee Know. Lee Know, Aeris.” He takes Aeris and it’s like the two of them have been best friends for ages. My jaw drops, “You little traitor! I’ll remember that when you want wet food at 3 am again.” Lee Know laughs. I give them a small tour of the downstairs and then excuse myself while I go pack a bag. After getting all my stuff together, I come back downstairs. Lee Know is sitting on the floor playing with Aeris while Felix is walking around looking at my paintings and certificates on the wall.

“I just gotta double-check the water levels for Aeris and give her some wet food and we should be good to go,” I say as I walk into the kitchen.

“You have your master’s degree, Nia?” Felix asks.

“Oh yeah, I got that a couple of years ago,” I said. “I graduated at 17, finished my bachelor’s degree at 21, and then my master’s right before I turned 24.” As soon as I opened a can of wet food, Aeris came running to the kitchen. This led to an “aww” from Lee Know as his new bestie traded him in for a meal. He got up and walked over to my little office area and saw my kpop collection on the wall.

“So, you are a STAY, nice collection. I see you have some Ateez in here, don’t let Seungmin know.” He laughed.

“Well, I started listening to y’all first but then I saw a Tik Tok of Seongwha. It truly does start with just wanting to learn their names. And yes, I’d be in trouble with Seungmin AND Hongjoong if either knew I listened to the other.” I was giggling.

“I’m telling!” Lee Know smiled.

“You better not, if you ever wanna see your new bestie again…” I threatened. No idea why I even threatened that, it's not like they are ever going to come here again. I guess my smile dropped because Felix walked over and hugged me. I gave him a slight smile and then determined we needed to go before they found my photocard collection. Luckily so far, I have not told them who my bias was or my wrecker and did not plan on having this discussion. “Alrighty, I’m ready to head back!”

“But I haven’t figured out who your biases are yet!” Felix whined playfully.

“And you’re not going to. Let’s go!” as I lead them to the front door. Aeris ran up to Lee Know, probably sensing we were leaving, and loved on him a bit. The two things that can make Lee Know smile are Han and cats. I pick Aeris up and give her some love before we are out the door and back in the vehicle on the way to their place.

The car ride back seemed to be a lot quicker. Mainly because Felix was asking me what I wanted to make and making sure we had the items in place. Luckily, they had everything I wanted to make so it would be simple to do in the morning. It would also help them out by using all the extra groceries they had before they had to leave tomorrow evening.

When we get back to their place, Chan is finishing up grilling the last bit of meat. I.N. offers to take my duffel bag and put it in the spare room for me. When he comes back, everyone is getting settled to eat dinner. This time, I don’t wait for them all to take their food first. I get right in there with everyone and pile food on my plate. I learned my lesson earlier. I see Chan smiling at me out of the corner of my eye.

“Progress,” he says a bit on the quieter end. I smile and nod at him. During dinner, they asked me a lot of questions about where I grew up, my siblings, my family, etc. I returned the questions to them, and they seemed surprised. I knew quite a bit, but I didn’t know everything. I did, however, want them to be able to talk about this stuff as a normal conversation. Which they seemed to appreciate. After dinner, we all cleaned up. Chan went to stop me, but Felix gave him a look and Chan went silent. It was nice being able to help.

“Wanna go sit by the fire out back?” Han asked me after everything was done.

“Sure!” I responded.

Han handed me a small throw blanket and we went outside and sat around the small fire pit that Seungmin had lit already. One by one, the rest of the guys slowly trickled their way out to the fire pit area. It was relaxing to listen to them talk about anything and everything. Before we knew it, the fire had died down and it was after 10 pm.

“I guess we should all head to bed, we have a busy day tomorrow!” Chan announced. Everyone got up and each one hugged me. It was sweet. Once they all hugged me and said good night, Chan and Felix walked me to the guest bedroom.

“Here’s your room for the night Nia, it has its bathroom too. Chan went ahead and put some shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in there if you want to freshen up. There are also a few towels.” Felix pointed towards the bathroom.

“Thanks, guys, I appreciate it.” I smiled.

“My room is right over here, if you need anything, just text or come and knock,” Chan said while pointing to the room next to the guest room.

“And my room is right next to his. I set my alarm for 6 am, which should give us plenty of time to make breakfast!” Felix says.

“Awesome, thank you guys again. I will see you bright and early Felix.” I give them each a hug and then close the door as they head off to their rooms.

I sit on the bed and take a deep calming breath. I need to take a shower because I smell like smoke. I pulled out my phone, checked on Aeris through my security cameras at my house, and then I decided to text Chan and then Felix. I thanked them both for being amazing and for their hospitality. Felix doesn’t respond, possibly because he is already zonked out. Chan, however, responds quickly.

Chris: You are very welcome. Thank you for being you, Nia. It truly is our treat to have you here to hang out. You have helped everyone relax and enjoy their time before we are constantly on the run or doing tour stuff.

I smile at the text and then go hop in the shower. After I got out and put on a comfy pair of sweatpants and a T-shirt, I figured it was time for me to go to bed. While I did not want this night to end, I was beyond tired. As soon as I put my headphones in and lay down, I fell fast asleep.

Hey there, Delilah

Hello! I decided to make a MTaS sideblog because it has been consuming my life lately, even though I have a million other things to do and cozy games to play. When I first started playing, I thought I might romance Grace or Owen, but then Unsuur hit me like a rock (ha, get it) on the side of the head and Delilah was doomed. Who wrote his lines? I want to buy you coffee forever and also give you an award. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a character this much in a game. Anyway, this is a very basic idea of Lilah and some of her info. I'll make her a pretty profile when I have time, I promise <3

Name: Delilah, but friends often call her Lilah Age: 25 Bday: Autumn 17 Height: 170cm - Always in motion, in one way or another. Her family background is surprisingly similar to Mi-An's and she wonders if this is a builder-family thing.

Romance Interest: Unsuur

Best Friends in town: Owen and Grace, shortly followed by Qi, Fang, Arvio and Mi-An, and surprisingly, Ernest.

Rocky and Krystal basically adopt her as an older daughter to pebbles shortly after she arrives. She dotes over Pebbles and is always spending half her time at the salvage co anyway. She doesn't necessarily have a short fuse, but Krystal recognized a "you don't want to see me angry" energy she was familiar with beneath all that sugar.

She uses a special dye for her hair that she developed with Nia when they were in school together using a combination of ground Lapis Lazuli and lavender flowers. She likes gemstones in general and got to know a lot about them since she and Nia took an elective in mineralogy that ended up in this project.

She will talk very fast when she is getting excited, and can often trip over some of her words.

Fiercely overprotective, and not afraid to get into trouble.

Actually more likely than not to get into trouble, because authority and orders just do not work well for her.

Sleep, who?

Loves animals and will always take time to have a short chat/pet with all the ones in town. Her horse, Cinder, is her treasure here in Sandrock.

Is not afraid to put Yan in his place from the moment she gets to town- if he tries to bully Mi-An especially. She generally picks up any litter she comes across, but if its in front of the commerce guild she will give him a piece of her mind. She's at the saloon almost every night, unless she is still out collecting materials until late. She's not always talking to people, but the background noise of voices calms her down.

Her Pa is part of the Corps in Highwind and made sure she had training in combat from when she was little. It also helped redirect her endless energy into something less destructive than tearing down the house to put it back together again.

When she arrived in Sandrock she could cook a grand total of 3 dishes and she would have been fine living like this if Owen hadn't insisted she join in with Grace's lessons, for the love of Peach. (she learns faster than Grace, thankfully)

She likes to visit Zeke and help him in the moisture farm alongside Mi-An.

She thought Pen might be a fun person to befriend when she first got here, but she got tired of him SO quickly once she realized the narcissism wasn't an act or joke, and saw how often he bullied others in town.

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?? BC I CANR 😍 we hit 5k!!!! thank you all so so much from the bottom of my heart, i cannot fully express how thankful i am 🥹 it doesn’t matter if you’re new here or been there since the begging (well technically it does, you’re an OG!!! love u<;3), as someone once said: it doesnt matter whom you have known the longest, it’s about who came and stayed till the end (or something like that lol)

so to celebrate i decided to make a lil poll and txt won the voting! combining my first ever band that waltzed into my heart and stayed there (5sos) with one of the latest ones (txt) seemed like a fun idea! now, if i could i’d write it in a completely different way but my attention span isn’t the greatest + i have a couple of different projects going on (such as the july jam session which was inspired by it btw lol), so here’s how it looks: each member has a piece written (~1k words each) connected to a certain song from an album! i know, i know there’s no sgfg but i couldn’t match anything <\3 and i was having such a hard time bc i am biased, okay? i love youngblood and 5sos5 and it was SO HARD TO PICK A ONE SONG?!
