It's entirely possible that the current arc of the manga is finally going to put a nasty suspicion that I have about Nightfall to rest.

Hard-core Nightfall fans may still want to skip this post if you don't like seeing anything negative said about her. You have been warned!

Also, manga spoilers ahoy!

I've always found it a bit suspicious that there were no female spies left in WISE that could take on the mother role. It always felt like they were targeted deliberately to me.

Now here's the scene that really made me suspicious of Nightfall

Here we see Nightfall considering destroying the lives of the women fawning over Twilight only to restrain herself because it would interfere with Twilight's current mission. If we assume that the lady spies adored Twilight as much as the gentleman spies in the castle episode in the anime it's easy to see Nightfall wanting to get them out of the way. Once the spy sweeps started, it would be pretty easy for her to anonymously tip the SSS about them and let them take out her romantic rivals.

Then there's this exchange between Franky and Fiona

This one is a bit more of a stretch, but Nightfall also briefly considered directly eliminating Yor before deciding to try and make her leave on her own

If we assume that Franky is right and Fiona DID call the SSS on them in order to get their way, then that means that Fiona is no stranger to using the SSS as a means to an end. I've seen it posited that the people that she called on them were fake SSS agents, or possibly just the regular police, but whenever Twilight has done that we've been shown that the SSS agents were fake.

As an aside, I doubt Nightfall will try and call the SSS on Yor as that could potentially put Twilight in danger as well and would likely jeopardize Strix by destroying the Forgers' reputation.

All that being said, it's entirely possible that Wheeler is the reason why the SSS was able to catch so many spies. Perhaps we'll get an exchange between Nightfall and Wheeler in chapter 84 where it's revealed that he has a personal vendetta against young female spies and that he's surprised that he missed Nightfall during the spy sweeps - this would explain why there were no lady spies who could take on the role of mother in the beginning of the series. We could also get nothing about the spy sweeps and thus I'll be left to continue wondering if Nightfall crossed that particular line or not. Just how far is Nightfall willing to go for her mission to be Twilight's wife?!

I just wanted to throw this out there in case it gets debunked soon, haha

HOLY FREAKING SHIT!!😵 I AM SO GODDAMN SPEECHLESS RIGHT NOW...!!! 😱

(Endo, how do keep doing this to me...!?)

This chapter was absolutely NUTS, so talk about it shall we...? 👍

Okay, so... When I first opened up this chapter, my dumb ass thought that this was Twilight being woken up by Fiona...: 😅

Obviously it was Yuri, but I still got a little worried that Endo was gonna skip Fiona and Wheeler's confrontation...! 😤

Anyway, it turns out that the female SSS officer that we saw at beginning of this arc is the one that wakes up Yuri, and her name is Chole...!! (Which honestly makes me laugh because Scarface and Agent Mustache have been in the series for a way longer time than Chole has, AND WE STILL DON'T KNOW THEIR NAMES!! 😵 Endo, you nut... 😌)

Then, after Scarface tells Yuri to get some medical treatment and for Chole to help him to get there, Yuri starts to wonder to himself about Twilight, and...:

...HE HASN'T FULLY FIGURED IT OUT YET! 😅 Which tells me that Yuri loves doesn't suspect his brother-in-law and would probably have to see that Loid is injured the same way as Twilight before he jumps to that conclusion...!! 😖

Moving on, we cut back to where Wheeler, Nightfall and Twilight are, and things couldn't be more intense...!!

Wheeler has Twilight hostage and threatens to kill him like he did for that other agent back in Mission 84, but unlike last time...

...Nightfall does in fact, drop her weapon... And because of that, Wheeler figures that she must care for Twilight, so tells her THIS:

Nightfall then rushes towards Wheeler, and before he could properly react...

NIGHTFALL KNOCKS WHEELER DOWN!! 😵

(Breaking her arm in the process...!! 😰)

And y'know what, I'm starting to get the impression that Endo might have a thing for women that can kick his ass...!! 😏 (Just like Twilight...!) 😎👍

Sorry, I got a little off topic there...! 😅 What was I saying before, oh right...! *Ahem...!*

NIGHTFALL IS FREAKING TERRIFYING...!! 😱

And after she absolutely destoryed her arm (and Wheeler's face), she tells Wheeler that he's weak because...:

Nightfall proceeds to KICK THINE ASS of Wheeler, breaking her other arm and one of her legs in the process...!! 😱 This causes Wheeler to think that all he needs to do is get his distance from her, but before he could, Nightfall uses one of her broken arms to do THIS to Wheeler...:

Thus ending the chapter... AND WHAT ANOTHER AMAZING CHAPTER THIS WAS!! 😍 This whole arc ain't even over yet and it has already become...

MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE ARC IN ALL OF SPY X FAMILY!! 😆

And at this point, I honestly don't care how good or bad the ending of this arc is gonna be because THIS ARC HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT ABSOLUTE HYPE THROUGHOUT!! 😁

Speaking of the end, could we be reaching the end of this arc in the next chapter or so?And if we are, what's gonna happen next? 🤔I don't think that Yuri will be hospitalized, especially after seeing how he was doing in the beginning of this chapter...! But, I still most definitely believe that Twilight will be in the hospital, and I hope that Yor finds out about it...! 💔

I absolutely loved today's chapter! It was really interesting to see the different views from Wheeler and Nightfall and to get a look into how emotions can give you the edge sometimes, even when they are out of control. I do question why exactly Wheeler is helping anyone though with his "don't trust anyone" views - unless he's perhaps solely looking for a war. I would really like to know his overall goal here, because if he keeps himself from trusting anyone and/or getting attached there's really no reason to be risking your life for your country as a spy. Being a soldier would make more sense.

And while we are aware that WISE also teaches this to their employees, it seems like Wheeler is much more strict with his emotions than even Twilight.

I would also like to mention that we now know for a fact that some normal physics do exist in the SxF universe, speaking that Nightfall's overexertion of strength is having a massive effect on her body - which also means that Yor is actually and semi literally just built different that she can kick cars and hit tennis balls fast enough to break the sound barrier without breaking a sweat, let alone a bone.

Overall, today's chapter was excellent!

Also, Chloe is cute. She shouldn't be that cute. New ship for Yuri as well.

My only hot take is that I'm still not a huge fan of Fiona even though she was super cool this chapter. I wish we had seen even a smidge of Twilight's (unconscious) thoughts, which we may see in the future. I just want my TwiYor moments 😔 But perhaps, we'll see Twilight call for Yor when he first wakes up.

Those are my thoughts anyway! Thanks again for the ask! 💕

Nightfall went batshit crazy. I knew she wouldn't back down after her Nafalia Phony act in Campbelldon. And her subsequent training in the mountains inspired by Yor. Wheeler being beaten to a bloody boneless pulp would have been hilarious if her d**th didn't seem so imminent.

Is Yuri gonna run into them again and try to help them? Another long two weeks 😭

Another quick thought on chapter 84

That last page admittedly has me torn between two extremes:

"Oh no, Nightfall has lost her focus and Wheeler is going to take advantage of that! This is not going to end well for Nightfall." People who are into things like poker will sometimes try to throw their opponents off mentally in order to defeat them

And

"Nightfall is going to stomp Wheeler and mister 'I like cold women' is gonna enjoy it." Sometimes people who love cold characters love them because they love seeing them finally have an emotional outburst and Wheeler has a front row seat to the show. Some people also like getting stepped on by powerful and attractive women, so yeah...

If Twilight knew about Wheeler's tastes and heard Nightfall coming, there's a non-zero chance that he's gambling on the second situation playing out and deliberately let Wheeler think he'd knocked out right before Nightfall arrived so that she can serve as a distraction for him. Then again, he could just be out cold and just got lucky that Nightfall showed up when she did... I guess we'll have to wait till chapter 85 to find out

JESUS CHRIST!!! 😱 THIS CHAPTER WAS INSANE AS WELL...! 😵

But, before I start discussing this chapter, I'd like to say something about what happened in the fandom recently...

If anyone here is unaware, an account by the name of shinybluebirdwizard deactivated their account after being harassed for answering an ask about who they thought Anya loved more... Thinking back on the post, to me it felt like shinybluebirdwizard's answer was more of a joke then anything super serious, but we'll never really know for sure... As of right now, my biggest hope is that Shiny is doing alright and will one day return to the fandom... But, I also completely understand if they decide that they don't want to ever come back either... All I can truly ask for now from this fandom is to be kinder to one another and not be at each other's throats for a difference of opinion...

...

Anyway, let's get back to the review shall we...?

We start where we basically left of at in Mission 83, with Wheeler cornered by Nightfall and another agent...!

Wheeler tries to convince Nightfall to let him go and that he doesn't have the documents, but of course, it doesn't work and the other agent subdues Wheeler and finds the documents...! Wheeler tries one more time to persuade Nightfall in letting him go, but she knows that he may have the documents memorized, so Wheeler will be imprisoned... But then...:

WHEELER ESCAPES FROM THE OTHER AGENT'S CLUTCHES AND NOW THAT AGENT IS HIS HOSTAGE!! 😱

Wheeler tells Nightfall to drop her gun or he'll break the other agent's neck, then exchange happens between Wheeler and Nightfall:

Damn...! 😲 Does anyone else feel like Wheeler was being a little flirty with Nightfall...? 👀 No? Just me...? Okay... 🤷

Anyway, Wheeler escapes into the sewers and Nightfall goes to pursue him...! Then, um... Nightfall has this thought of if she were to ever die, and well...:

Oh, Nightfall... 😌 No words can describe the amount of crazy you are...! 😏

After... THAT...! We catch back up with Twilight after his brutal fight with Yuri...:

Twilight tries to get out of the sewers, but he overhears some footsteps and decides to be cautious... But then, the footsteps stop, and Twilight is unsure of where they were coming from... When suddenly...

WHEELER APPEARS OUT OF NOWHERE AND ALMOST BASHES TWILIGHT'S HEAD IN WITH A BRICK!!! 😱 (Twilight was able to dodge it, BUT STILL!! 😵)

After Wheeler's initial attack, Twilight tries to convince him that he's with the SSS...

...But it doesn't work...

Then, Wheeler figures out that this must be Twilight in disguise and says this to him:

We cut back to Nightfall as she hears some fighting in the sewers, but when she finds where it's coming from, she sees this: 😰

As Nightfall is shocked and stunned by what she sees, Wheeler proceeds to remove Twilight's mask, when...:

NIGHTFALL GOES COMPLETELY BERSERK!!! 😱

and that's how the chapter ends, and HOO BOY...!! That chapter was INTENSE!! 😰 Especially at the end...!! 😥 And I know that this arc isn't over with just yet, but... I think that this might my new favorite arc of the series...!! 😆

HOW ARE YOU THIS GOOD ENDO!!? 👏😆

The only thing that kind of confused me in this chapter was the part Nightfall was like: "No no no, that's Yuri Briar. He's no friend of mine!" and started saying "That's Yuri Briar" over and over again... I believe that was her starting realize that was Twilight on the ground defeated, but I don't know for sure...! 🤷 In any case, this chapter was still amazing and I'm eagerly awaiting for the next one to drop...!! 😆

Lastly, I'm sorry to anyone that just came here to read my review, but it was very important to me to talk about what happened to shinybluebirdwizard...

I was raised to treat others how I wanted to be treated, so whenever I see how mean people can be sometimes, it truly breaks my heart... We don't have to agree on everything, but we can at least try to be respectful to someone else's opinion... And if that means not interacting with them at all, then by all means, avoid them at all costs... But the one thing that I wish for the most is for everyone to be more kind and understanding of one another...! And then maybe, something like this won't again...

Unmasking Winston Wheeler: The Double Agent's True Allegiance and Global Implications

My tumblr readers ,it's a been a year for us since the thrilling Mole Hunt Arc. In the Spy x familyverse it's 3 months.Handler Sylvia's reasoning is that the enemy's having a mole, inside WISE.Ordering the methiculous,silent investigation led them to a high ranking WISE officer:Winston Wheeler!

*Interesting that WISE HQ are modeled on the British MI6.

“Winston Wheeler, Westalis Intelligence Communications division. He may well have been behind all the recent spy purge that's done so much damage to our Operations."

Yes,a talented spy whose abilities are praised by Twilight himself. The WISE agents make their way to Wheeler's supposed destination, northwest Ostania,Shellbury.

Immediately twilight utilizes his techniques of disguise,booby traps up against SSS agents,and disguised as Yuri comes to hand-to-hand combat to Yuri.And then to combat up against Wheeler.Actually Frost chan is the only who comes saves twilight ,and beates Wheeler.

Endo sensei drew in amazing way the tiension of the fight,and how Twilight's suitcase is a weapon.

Twilight,Fiona and WISE Agent leave Shelbury having the the defeated SSS mole:Wheeler.They bring him to WISE secret base for interrogation.

Btw don't get much hyped about Leutenant Yuri's intellect and his deducive skills:Cause Twilight remembers he was shot in the right arm earlier that day, and he could be detected by Yuri.So when expectadly forces to roll up Loid's sleeve(to check for bandages or the wound)he finds it alright.Twilight had really anticipated this.So he disguised the part of his arm to seem absolutely normal.Yuri's still a shallow one,and he lost a fine chance of nabing the great Spy Twilight.

"Looking back on it Twilight turned to Wheeler Western minister cabinet. he doesn't need to be close to someone to copy them. he's that good".

Not all are over

Let's delve into the further implications of the arc

Wheeler,before his defeat,said to Fiona: "Are you western spies really so sentimental?"A cryptic remark to Fiona that raises eyebrows.. It's as more he said he may be Ostanian,posing as Westalian.

He might actually have been all along an Ostanian posing as a Westalian.If this gets confirmed it would be a major plot twist.

When did it begin? How was it carried out and Westalian counterintelligence didn't notice it? It would mean that Ostanian intelligence has deeply infiltrated Westalis’s operations, posing a significant threat to their security and missions.This twist could lead to a broader investigation into how many other moles might be embedded within Westalis and its allied organizations.

Expanding the International Reach

International Collaboration:

The threat posed by Wheeler’s infiltration could necessitate international collaboration between Westalis and other intelligence agencies. These agencies would need to pool their resources and expertise to root out moles and secure their operations.

This collaboration could lead to joint missions, with agents from different countries working together to dismantle espionage networks and prevent further infiltration.

New Characters and Alliances:

Introducing new characters from other intelligence agencies could enrich the narrative. These characters might bring new skills, perspectives, and resources, creating dynamic interactions and alliances.

Some of these characters could have their own hidden agendas, adding layers of intrigue and complexity to the story.

Potential Story Arcs

What about the cryptic hints, in Spy x Family chapter 98.5. ?

The Forgers are paying a trip to London,the intriguing part is when they attempt to infiltrate the HQ of MI6.Then again the attempt is real clumpsy,not a master Spy's way,such as Twilight. I wonder what sort of hint is this for a future arc? Maybe it's intertwind with the extend of Wheeler's infiltration.

A funny detaile:Ins Spy x family chapter ,the director of WISE says to his assistant ' I'm sure will get his report saying "the cherry blossoms bloom" soon enough". ''And what does that mean,sir?" "It's acode we borrowed form the orient".

Now why in this omake twilight acts on a similar way?Quoting a knowledge of Japan to yor,where to her Japan is entirely unknown.

So WISE is familiar with the far East.

Uncovering the Mole Network:

The story could follow Twilight, Fiona, and other agents as they work to uncover and dismantle the mole network within Westalis and its allies. This arc could involve intense espionage, infiltration, and high-stakes operations.

They might discover that the infiltration goes higher up the chain of command than initially thought, leading to confrontations with powerful and well-protected enemies.

3.Or even Twilight one day, might be lured by SSS, to rescue Jeffrey:A mole of WISE, captured by SSS.

Due to Twilight's successfull infitration-with Bond's valuable assistance- in Bourne labs the SSS is deprived of the truth serums. If the SSS had acquired them it would have a great advantage, on easily forcing anyone to spill out everything he/she knows. Mayby the SSS is in uneasiness how to force Him talk-I'm not optimist about.However it could work as a central arc, with Twilight and his team devising a daring plan to infiltrate SSS facilities and extract him. This mission could reveal further secrets and set the stage for larger conflicts.Successfully rescuing Jeffrey could also bring critical intelligence that helps unravel Wheeler’s plans and the depth,extent of Ostanian manipulation.

It's Summer.So Endo sensei deserves to take a break time so he can return fresh to the work.
