Going down the Fate hellhole again, and I forgot that Lancer had to be severely nerfed by losing Bazett as a Master.

Nasu had to nerf my boy just so Shirou and Rin would have a chance at winning.

(Illya and Berserker would have been tough against Bazett and Lancer if Gil wasn't in the picture, though.)

This is a really good point! I would also like to add that the hilarious dynamic of "my marriage was based and started entirely on lies and convenience, but we've always had an extremely good relationship and now a child is on the way" is incredibly undervalued and underused in fanfics.

One thing I don't get about a lot of Spy X Family fanworks is that a lot of them depict the identity reveal as like "How... how could you lie to me?" dramatic angst. Which like yeah I get angst is cool and all, but like, are we forgetting that Loid and Yor are both doing it? To each other? For the same reason?

This is literally like the one case where the two people involved would absolutely understand why the other didn't tell them about it. They'd literally be like "Oh, well that's completely understandable, I too hid my true occupation to protect the peace and the ones I love". The most I expect is just a "oh, that explains a lot actually."

But every time I think of romance, I'm grossed out.

I should have listened to myself when I thought I was aroace, but for some reason, I didn't.
