(To make this blog alive, i figured I'd drop some weapon lore:

Ina wears sneakers that have bits of metal in their soles. This is because her fighting style uses a lot of kicks, and it allows her to fight against other weapons without worrying about getting hurt as much

Sylvana has blue crytalline daggers that can store electricity inside of them, and can be connected by what is essentially a chain of electricity. This allows them to be usef as a way to conduct electricity.

Alice has a pink knife that almost looks like a kitchen knife. It can control the winds and allows her to hit from a distance and drag her enemies around, almost like a whip.

Kuro and Shiro primarily use revolvers. They have rounds that allow them to channel their magic into them. However, they'll occasionally use other gun types. Kuro in particular using more agressive ones like smgs, and Shiro taking more of a sniping role.

Fen is a heavy hitter and uses a mace and a shield. Her fighting style is very tanky and counter-heavy, blocking everything that comes her way before hitting back extra hard.

Dae doesn't really do weapons, but she does wear fighting gloves and brass knuckles. Being the heaviest hitter on the team due to the strength of her people, she doesnt exactly need one.

Nexus isnt big on weapons and prefers to use magic, but he has a book on him. It barely even does anything, but at the very least he isnt defenceless if he somehow cant use magic on something)

Al eventjes niets gepost door alle drukte van reizen en het festival. Ben nu 4 dagen in Nikko, 2 bij oom en tante van Alice om een geologisch monument te bezoeken en dan door voor de kumano kodo. Een inspannende week komt er aan. Hier een plaatje van mijn bus die dwars door de Japanse alpen rijdt wel nog 5 uur naar Shinjuku-eki, taihen dayoou!!

dude, I have written you like a hundred of these kinds of letters. im sure you'll find them when you go through my stuff.

In every one of these letters I basically say the same thing, that im sorry. that I'll miss you. that you're my sister. and that I love you.

From the moment that we became friends, I knew you were my soul mate. you're literally my favourite person and I would dream about us being old on a porch somewhere with cool old lady hair and rocking chairs drinking margaritas. obviously I was going to be the old lady that had been divorced like 6 times to 4 different men and your guy would have been the ones bringing us margaritas.

when you go through my stuff, I have left you a note in my bedside drawer with my passwords on it. there's also weed in my buffet (left drawer) for you to smoke while you sift through everything. the list also includes my last wishes. I know you'll be able to make them happen. just in case the list is lost, ill pop it below (minus the passwords because fuck Zuckerberg idk)

there's a video on my computer titled 'how I want to be remembered'. that's my funeral video. I couldn't figure out how to put a song over the top (Apple Music was a trine make me purchase it and im cheap lol) please put 'do not let your spirits wane' by gang of youths over the top.

Gwen and Pierre will go to either my aunty Julie or Alice.

I want people to carry my coffin lol I know it's dramatic but you know me. the people to carry it, my brothers, dad, Nikko o'keefe and Jamie purvis. I know you don't know the last two, but just find them on my Facebook.

I want you to go through my stuff first, get rid of anything that I might not want people to see.

cremate me. give a bit to those who want it (not my mother lol you know this tho) and then the rest of me into a biodegradable urn and plant me with a hawthorn tree.

I am currently wearing it but it will be given back to you guys, but I want you to have my necklace. grandad bought it for me. I know it isn't your style but just keep it safe and maybe you can even pass it to your little girl.

So Alice on a Friday night was originally written in Bulgarian, and the translation in to English is excellent. It genuinely feels like Alice is talking to you. Her voice is so strong, and she feels real.

Reading this book feels like you’re receiving randomly addressed letters that the writer was hoping would get lost in a mail room somewhere. The musings are visceral and plainly worded, while also dealing with incredibly difficult topics.

It’s simultaneously brutal and palatable and you’re sitting watching the car crash that is Alice happen from behind the glass window of a cafe.

Also incredible work with unreliable narrators.

5/5 my favourite read so far this year.

If this book was candy, it would be strawberry sweets pulled out of a bar fly’s purse and given to you with the biggest smile.

Uhhh

Do they have hobbies? (idk where to start)

Ina: Well i really enjoy cooking! I dont know if you can consider it a hobby, though, since its my job and all.

Sylv: I guess im a bit of an artist. Helps me get thoughts out of my head in a pretty easy way.

Alice: I really love watching pro wrestling and anime! The action is so cool!

Nexus: On the side, I'm quite the historian. As the future timekeeper, it would only make sense for me to know everything there is to know about my world's past, wouldn't it?

Kuro: Its kinda silly but.... detective movies and mystery novels are a guilty pleasure of mine.

Shiro: Much like Ina, even if its my job, I really like studying ancient artifacts. Nexus actually helps me learn a lot!

Fen: I like sculpting, like ice sculptures or snow people... Its really easy to do, and helps me get used to talking to people again.

Dae: My mothers taught me a lot about wrestling, so i like that, but miss Alice taught me about "Anime".

68′ Unleash “The Knife, The Knife, The Knife” From Upcoming Album ‘Give One Take One’

Atlanta noisemakers ‘68 are back. After surprising listeners last year with a new four-track EP titled Love Is Ain’t Dead, the hard rock duo led by former Norma Jean and The Chariot frontman Josh Scogin have just announced a brand new full-length album.

Titled Give One Take One, the new 10-track effort will be released March 26th via Cooking Vinyl. 

Sharing his excitement for the band’s first new LP since 2018′s deluxe release of Two Parts Viper, Scogin said, “Of all the music I've created over the years, this album holds some of my very favorite moments, lyrically, musically, and even mentally; I travel down several roads that are equal parts therapeutic to get off my chest and terrifying to share with the world. I believe you can feel the tangible joy that music gives each of us in this album.” 

Scogin went on to talk about working with Grammy-winning producer Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Rush, Alice In Chains) and fellow bandmate Nikko Yamada saying, “Nick captured the explosive and implosive nature that keeps '68 moving forward. You can hear the passion and the sincerity that Nick, Nikko, and I have for the art of creating sounds. I'm so proud of this album and humbled by the journey that it took to get here. And if I'm honest, the vast majority of my thoughts are circled around the hope that we will be able to perform these songs live one day soon.”
