(To make this blog alive, i figured I'd drop some weapon lore:

Ina wears sneakers that have bits of metal in their soles. This is because her fighting style uses a lot of kicks, and it allows her to fight against other weapons without worrying about getting hurt as much

Sylvana has blue crytalline daggers that can store electricity inside of them, and can be connected by what is essentially a chain of electricity. This allows them to be usef as a way to conduct electricity.

Alice has a pink knife that almost looks like a kitchen knife. It can control the winds and allows her to hit from a distance and drag her enemies around, almost like a whip.

Kuro and Shiro primarily use revolvers. They have rounds that allow them to channel their magic into them. However, they'll occasionally use other gun types. Kuro in particular using more agressive ones like smgs, and Shiro taking more of a sniping role.

Fen is a heavy hitter and uses a mace and a shield. Her fighting style is very tanky and counter-heavy, blocking everything that comes her way before hitting back extra hard.

Dae doesn't really do weapons, but she does wear fighting gloves and brass knuckles. Being the heaviest hitter on the team due to the strength of her people, she doesnt exactly need one.

Nexus isnt big on weapons and prefers to use magic, but he has a book on him. It barely even does anything, but at the very least he isnt defenceless if he somehow cant use magic on something)

You'll Have to Go Through Me

    Kuro's eyes fluttered open. She shifted and looked around with hazy eyes. The girl tried to move but found her ankles and wrist were bound tightly. Her wrists behind her back and over the black wings on her back. "K... Kira?" A loud bang came from next to her head. She turned to find Kira next to her. A muzzle covered the angel's mouth and lower jaw. Kira whined as she shifted in her small cage. She desperately tried to pull the muzzle off but her wrists were cuffed to the bars.

   "Good morning cuties."

   "Mm!" Kira thrashed, her tail moving back and forth.

   "Quiet down little one, at least I'm not treating you like they did."

   "Where... where am I?"

   "That's not important, let's just say you'll be on your way soon."

   "Please, let us go."

   "Mm, I'm getting paid good money for you two. Especially that one next to you. I had a huge client pay me good money for her."

    "No! Please!"

    "Sorry, but..."

    "You'll have to go through me before I let you take her," Nikko growled at the boss. "Let them go, now."

    "Nikko!"

    "Oh, pretty boy thinks he can save them, well you better turn back while you still can." The boy charged at him, but the boss dodged and struck him with the handle of a dagger. "That's a cute attempt, you want to try again?" His breath was cut short as a sword pierced his chest.

    "I thought we finished you all up, guess we missed a few. You got the rest of them right Claude?"

    "All clear Teach."

    "Good, come on, let's get you guys home."

Mrs. Fukuzawa, I was just told that you had your babies today? How are they doing? How are you? If you need anything or if the agency needs anything, I'll be glad to help. Oh, and if you don't mind me asking, what did you name them?

The babies are happy and healthy, thankfully, I'm doing about as good as i can be right now. Thank you for the offer. Their names are Nikko, Tai, and Raven.

THE BABY IS OUT OF THE EGG!!! I had a feeling it would be a girl. She's gonna grow up to be beautiful as her mother, and if ANYONE tries ANYTHING with her then big brother nikko will be there for her.

Nozomi is a cutie.

Both Vera and Kuro love their daughter, and Nikko would definitely go after anyone who would dare harm his baby sister.

Headcanon: Nozomi's very close with her mom but she's definitely daddy's little girl.

She takes a lot after Vera in many ways, such as demeanor, abilities (Geokinesis/Terrakinesis), travel, some hobbies (Gem collecting, singing, fashion, reading erotic novels as an adult), and fighting style, and she takes a lot after Kuro and Big Bro Nikko as well.

Onsen Surname Explanations (+ Some First Names)

This explanation is building upon my original post on the now-deleted Tumblr lolyeahshinichi, as well as what people have discovered over the years.

Note some are singular hot springs and some are named after groups of hot springs/hot spring towns.

Defence Club

Hakone:

Hakone Yumoto and Hakone Gora both refer to onsen in...well, Hakone, Kanagawa. There are also train stations named after them. (There also appears to be a place in Nikko which has "Hakone Yumoto" onsen as well, but that would lose the connection with Gora.)

black eggs (kurotama, short for kuro tamago) cooked in hot spring water are a Hakone specialty, specifically at Owakudani.

for some bonus disc content, the Boueibu VAs travelled here + there was a collab with the place.

Yufuin:

In Oita Prefecture.

The namesake onsen is geographically close to Beppu Onsen, although nothing ever seemed to come of this.

Kinugawa:

In Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture.

The name roughly means "angry demon river", yet nothing ever seems to have come of this.

Boueibu did a collab with the place.

Naruko:

In Osaki, Miyagi Prefecture.

Naruko Onsen is known for its ability to cure ailments.

The kanji for Io's name means "sulfur", which Naruko Onsen has (his name is written いお in hiragana, but the characters for "sulfur" are 硫黄 (いおう)).

Zaou:

In Yamagata Prefecture.

The region this onsen is in is known for snow and cherries, specifically Sato Nishiki, which are Ryuu's favourite.

Ryuu's name derives from how rime (a type of ice) makes trees stand up.

Student Council:

Kusatsu Onsen, Arima Onsen and Gero Onsen are known as the 3 best/most famous/major hot springs in Japan (depending on translation).

Kusatsu:

In Gunma Prefecture.

Arima:

In Hyogo Prefecture.

Due to the minerals present, it has "golden baths" (actually a bright mustard/brown colour) and "silver baths" (actually transparent).

Gero:

In Gifu Prefecture.

Has "bijin no yu" ("beauty-enhancing baths"), hence Akoya's obsession with beauty. Bijin is only used to describe beautiful women (vs. bishonen or biseinen), which might explain why Akoya is so androgynous.

Other

Tawarayama:

In Yamaguchi.

Known for healing arthritis and joint pain.

Kinosaki:

In Toyooka Prefecture.

Kou possibly derives his name from the Kou no yu.

Tazawa:

In Aoki, Nagano Prefecture.

Tazawa Masuya is the name of a ryokan.

Beppu:

In Oita Prefecture.

Has various "hells".

Shuzenji:

Located in the Tagata district of the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka.

One of the oldest hot springs.

The resort was loved by Natsume Soseki.

Kirishima:

Located on the hillside of Mt. Kirishima in Kagoshima.

Known for its "Sulfur Valley".

It appears Ryoma got his name because Ryoma Sakamoto stayed in Kirishima with his wife, Ryo, for their honeymoon (apparently the first honeymoon in Japan).

Wakura:

Located on the Nanao Bay in the Noto Peninsula in Nanao, Ishikawa prefecture.

One of the oldest hot springs in the region, with a history dating back 1200 years.

Manza:

In Gunma Prefecture.

Snowy region.

1800 metres above sea level.

Dougo:

In Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture.

Said to be the oldest hot spring in Japan, with a history going back 3000 years.

Did a collaboration with Osamu Tezuka's manga Phoenix.

A specialty of the area is Ichiroku tart (a roll cake). Dougo's first name is Ichiro (one-six) to match this and this "Ichiro" sounds like a common name in Japan ("first son" (一郎), although that has an elongated sound on the end). There is also a 6 on Dougo's badge (stylised to look like a cake swirl) and his shirt from when he was younger to play upon this.

Student Council

Ibusuki:

In Kagoshima Prefecture.

Known for sand baths as well as the more traditional hot springs.

Unazuki:

Located in Kurobe, Toyama Prefecture. Found at the entrance of the Kurobe Gorge.

Shirahone:

In Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture.

Has milk-white water, due to high magnesium and calcium content. (Shirahone = white bone.)

Other

Karurusu:

In Norioboetsu.

Named after Carlsbad in Czechoslovakia.

Furanui:

Located in Kamifurano, Hokkaido.

Appears to properly be called "Frontier Furanui Onsen".

Name: Layl (Meaning night in Arabic, her full name translates to Tree of Night) Gender: Female Species: Vessel Relatives: Kuro, Hollow, Ghost, Shard, Hiro (Brothers) Aatma, Shajara, Yohana, Hornet, Fae, Slate (Sisters) Pale King (Father) White Lady (Mother) Terra, Haru, Stella, Meche, Nozomi, Nikko (Nephews and nieces) Vera and Neela (Sister's in law)

BIO: While making more vessels the Pale King had made one but when she was complete she wasn't as pure as the Hollow Knight, she looked too much like her mother and was able to soften the King's heart for a short bit, having looking more like the White Lady the King couldn't bare to throw her away in the Abyss with the others, he spared her and presented her to the Queen as their second daughter thus making her the second Princess of Hallownest. Like her older sister Shajara, Layl got royal lessons as well but wasn't drawn to the combat like her brothers and sister, she was drawn to medicine and healing, spending time some a few of the royal gardens and her mothers gardens learning about all sorts of herbs and plants and their medicinal properties, when she learned of the truth of her fallen siblings she became racked with guilt at the thought that she could've saved them and wanted to die in their place, been thrown out like the others, she shut herself away from her mother and father, but slowly became open when a dancer named Neela arrived. When Neela became a threat to a group of rouge Kingsmould, Layl had no choice but to run away from the Palace with her younger sister Aatma and Neela by orders of her mother. After fleeing from the Palace the three of them found themselves on the shores of Blue Lake, tired and cold the three of them didn't know where to go, until they heard what sounded like carnival music, the three met the Master of the Grimm Troupe, Grimm. Promising them shelter and safety Grimm took the three women in with Layl as a singer, Aatma as a seamstress and Neela as a dancer.

Fun Fact:  - She is highly skilled in medicinal herbs and loves to learn more about new herbs and if they can be used for medicine. She is also the second princess of Hallownest.  - She suffers from Survivors Guilt, it only shows up when a family member or dear friend has been hurt is gravely hurt  - Takes care of others to the point of exhaustion.  - Has a deep love of nature, and cares deeply for her nieces and nephews. -Her dream is to one day have Hallownest back to normal and safe, until then she's happy to give advice and help plant healing herbs and plants around the kingdom to help anyone who would need it.  . Edo Wonderland Theme Park Plans One Piece Collaboration Event featuring Real Wano Country

    Edo Wonderland Nikko Edomura, located in Nikko, Tochigi, is a theme park that features the customs and culture of the Edo period. It recreates the streets of the mid-Edo period (Genroku to Kyoho era) and offers many attractions such as a ninja action show and a spectacular Oiran dochu (procession of courtesans).

  The park will hold "Time Travel Adventure 2021" as a special summer vacation event from July 22 to August 29, 2021. This year's highlight is the collaboration event with the popular anime franchise One Piece, titled "One Piece x Edo Wonderland Nikko Edomura: Come! Real Wano Country Edowan Exploration," from July 24 to October 31. The event will include various attractions that visitors can immerse themselves in the world of Wano Country.

    No.1: "Mystery solving voice rally"

  This event is a voice rally in which participants solve the riddles in the mission book and follow the story with the "Straw Hat Pirates". Participants will be immersed in the world of Wano Country by wrapping a wristband with a QR code around their arms, solving simple riddles, visiting hidden voice points in the facility, and experiencing the story.

      No.2: "Samurai Experience of the swordsman Zorojuro"

  This is where you can learn everything from the attitude and manners of a samurai. You will be instructed in everything from the one-sword style to the three-sword style. You will actually learn how to wield three (replica) swords. Participants will receive an original postcard as a novelty gift. 

      No.3: "Kunoichi Onami's Shuriken Dojo"

  The Shuriken Dojo in the park collaborates with Kunoichi Onami to offer a shuriken experience where you can throw authentic iron shuriken while being watched over by her. Participants will receive an original postcard as a novelty gift.

      No.4: "Sniper Usohachi's Yaba"

  A collaboration facility with a yaba (archery range) where you can experience authentic Kyudo (Japanese art of archery). This is an attraction to test your sniping skills with Usohachi's weapon, Kuro Kabuto. Participants will receive an original postcard as a novelty gift.

[Breaks through a window] I've come to ask about characters

Uhhh

Do they have hobbies? (idk where to start)

Ina: Well i really enjoy cooking! I dont know if you can consider it a hobby, though, since its my job and all.

Sylv: I guess im a bit of an artist. Helps me get thoughts out of my head in a pretty easy way.

Alice: I really love watching pro wrestling and anime! The action is so cool!

Nexus: On the side, I'm quite the historian. As the future timekeeper, it would only make sense for me to know everything there is to know about my world's past, wouldn't it?

Kuro: Its kinda silly but.... detective movies and mystery novels are a guilty pleasure of mine.

Shiro: Much like Ina, even if its my job, I really like studying ancient artifacts. Nexus actually helps me learn a lot!

Fen: I like sculpting, like ice sculptures or snow people... Its really easy to do, and helps me get used to talking to people again.

Dae: My mothers taught me a lot about wrestling, so i like that, but miss Alice taught me about "Anime".

Febuwhump 2023 Day 22

Can't Scream

    "We should be almost done here," Byleth struck down one of the enemies with her sword. The rest of the students followed her lead with Kuro, Nikko, and Kira staying close to the group. Kira wielded the sword that came with her, Nikko used a silver sword, and Kuro learned basic magic. They stayed close to the Professor and Claude as they went out for battle. The Golden Deer house wrapped up the last few bandits and stopped to rest. Kira sniffed the ground, following the unfamiliar scent. "Good work out there everyone."

   "Thanks Teach," Claude smiled and turned to attend to the students.

   "Hey babe, you feeling well?" Kuro walked up to Nikko. His white wings extended out to catch the breeze.

   "Oh, hi. I'm doing better, still recovering." He smiled back at her before turning to face the woods. "Kira hasn't come back, maybe we should look for her."

    "Yeah, maybe," Kuro started walking a little way into the woods. Nikko quickly waved to the Professer before following Kuro from a distance behind. She kept going in further before finding Kira collapsed on the ground. "Kira?" She was still and unmoving. Kuro approached up to the fallen girl before something quickly fell over her mouth. She tried to scream but it came out muffled and quiet. Her body grew weak and she fell to the ground.

    "Haha, that's a nice one you got over there."

    "Yeah, she's nothing like that animal over there." The two men laughed as they pulled the two girls into nets and rope. They quickly skulked out of there and ran toward the woods.

    Nikko glared at where they were. He ran back towards the group, racing to just get Kuro and Kira back.

Shiro: Bit of a toughie, cant really decide.

Dae: Tea, my mothers both made it amazingly!

1: Lowest amount of time characters can sit still without doing anything

Ina: Not long, probably like a few minutes.

Sylv: Honestly? A pretty long time. Probably a solid hour or 2.

Alice: I don't sit still!

Kuro: Decently long.

Shiro: Not super long, but its not impossible for like 15 minutes.

Fen: Hours, i think.

Dae: Probably only a few minutes at most.

Nexus: Quite a long time, I'd say.

do they play videogames?

Ina: Me, sis, and mom play a lot together, and i was able to get the others to start too. I'm personally a huge fan of Kirby, the series is so cute but so creepy at the same time!

Sylv: Been playing Devil May Cry since the first game.

Alice: Pokemon! I lose to big sis a lot, but someday I'll beat her, i promise!

Nexus: I really like Dynasty Warriors and Chrono Trigger. RPGs are my preference in general.

Fen: I try to play calmer games, like Animal Crossing. It helps me be less anxious. But... Monster Hunter is really fun, too.

Kuro: I play a lot of mystery games like Ace Attourney. Helps keep my mind sharp, even if Edgeworth can get on my nerves at times.

Shiro: I dont play as much as the others, but i like the Yoshi games. They're easy and fun.

Dae: I'm a bit of a fighting game champion, heh!
