What if two big strong former leaders of a team of color coded ninjas with a love of food and protective and caring natures and dad issues and who have gotten mind controlled at least once interacted with each other?

Looking at my interest of 10+ years vs my interest of about a year and a half . . . I have a type of favorite character methinks

storybook au where lloyd is the underpaid and extremely tired librarian who has to deal with 5 random villains coming to life from their books every full moon

he’s not too worried about it cause all they do is argue at each other about who gets to take over the world the whole time until the sun comes up and they disappear

zane is the only competent villain being the ice emperor and all but since all he does is sleep the entire night there’s about 0 worry that he’ll wake up and actually destroy the world

cole isn’t even a true villain he’s just the ghost in a spooky mystery book where random people go into a haunted house and are surprised it’s haunted

one of the books gets checked out and lloyd has an aneurism trying to find who did it before the full moon because the only time anyone is competent is when there’s no one else to argue with

I think the Ninja running a tea shop should’ve been expanded on. Not for any important reason, I just wanna make the Ninja work in customer service.

I NEED Lloyd to be a tired teen who snaps at a Karen for complaining her iced tea isn’t hot. She mumbles “kids these days” and Wu has to (unfortunately) stop his nephew from lunging across the counter to grab her throat.

Cole has to explain way to many times that NO they do not serve peanut anything, no not even in their cookies, because Jay is deathly allergic and it’s posted on a sign up front and if they want to complain they can Kiss his Boots

Kai’s on kitchen duty because tea is easy and needs heat. But goddamn some if the orders people come up with are weird. Like it’s a tea shop why are we combining candy floss with green tea. Why are people asking for whipped cream. What is happening.

Zane helps with baked goods (bc who doesn’t like a cookie with warm tea :] ) and struggles significantly less but he also has to do runs to tables. Some people complain to him about the food and he’s like “I have 7 more orders to do Please talk to your server :[“ but that doesn’t stop people. Plus people keep asking him to cool off their drinks. I desperately need Zane “I know I was built to protect but I Swear To All That Is Holy if one more customer makes an Ice Machine joke I’m freezing Borg Tower” Julien.

Words cannot describe how much I need a scene of a customer screaming at Nya to get the manager, and she pulls a “I’m the manager.” Bonus points if the customer then says to get the owner and Nya gets out Wu and/or Ronin.

I think the love triangle arc in rebooted is as stupid and bad and vaguely misogynistic as the next guy, but one thing that made me laugh my ass off upon rewatch was nya’s reasoning as to why she liked each of them

Cole? he isn’t jay, and that’s more than enough for me

We always talk about the way Morro and Kai reacted to not being the Green Ninja. I live for those fanfics, textposts, edits, fanart, literally anything. However: as the resident Lloyd girlie / kin / whatever, I need to know how he feels and what he's thinking when people get obsessively jealous of his destiny.

Everyone sees the power and the glory that goes with the title. What they don't see is the pain, hardship, and loss that goes with it. The glory comes from destroying the people you love. The hardship happens because no matter what, it's never over. Evil will always re-manifest itself, meaning your destiny is never complete.

People like Kai (formerly) and Morro long for the title. But I can only imagine Lloyd hates it. Wishes he could change his life. Wishes he could just hand it on to someone else, but he knows he can't, because he is the only one who can take the burden of it. He wishes he could explain how horrible it is, but no one will ever see, because he keeps the darkness inside (I have a whole rabbit trail on this that I will probably talk about later).

I'm rambling about Lloyd again... but seriously. I want to know how he feels in these moments.

For the record Lloyd was meant to be the green ninja, he had a vision of the prophecy and couldn't bring himself to kill his father. Instead of going to the monastery of spinjitzu he waited until he could stomach what needed to be done. By the time he was ready, destiny chose another...a girl found in the wreckage of the Great Devorurer attack.

Since Pixal was initially built as an assistant by Cyrus Borg and probably spent most of her time helping him before meeting the ninja, I think shes knows a lot about running a business. but if she were around Wu's Teas wouldn't have happened in the first place

how I think the ninja take their coffee

Zane : he doesn't eat or drink anymore, but back when he did, he enjoyed experimenting with brewing techniques. the more complicated the better. his interest in coffee was artistic rather than culinary. also i don't think caffeine ever had any effect on him.

Cole : claims he drinks it black, secretly pours in one metric ton of sugar. also claims caffeine doesn't really affect him. that is a blatant lie.

Lloyd : actually drinks it black. jokes about it matching his soul a bit too often.

Nya : she's a coffee snob. only buys from her local all organic micro-torrefaction novelty bar or whatever. constantly shits on starbucks. claims people who buy there have basic taste buds and don't know what real coffee is.

Kai : has basic taste buds and doesn't know what real coffee is. might as well have a glass of coffee-flavored milk at this point. posts ✨aesthetic✨ pictures of his order. his social media accounts singlehandedly made coffee the most popular drink in ninjago (it was previously tea)

Jay : no coffee, only bimbo juice (pink monster)

this should come as no surprise to you that i’m asking abt this particular one but PLEASE TELL ME ABOUT THE ONE WHO REMEMBERS SKYBOUND CUZ THEY BIT THE DUST

super fucked up but I already decided a chunk of a building dropped on them that’s how they died :D

So I’m a little obsessed with the “people who died during Skybound are the ones to remember it” bit (aside from Jay obvi) cuz I think it’d just be so SO fascinating especially with how many casualties there probably were like. The ground was coming apart and things were lifted up into the air people were definitely crushed or fell from great heights or even probably killed by some of the pirates! Fun!

So these random people who had time turned back on them out of NOWHERE just blinked and suddenly they were back alive a month or so back from when they died (cuz like. Does math in my head jay was on the misfortune for three weeks in my headcanons so that’s nearly a month so y’know)

So this person, haven’t decided names or anything but I think they’ll have been a woman probably in her mid 20s. She basically ends up reaching out to others to try and unravel what the fuck happened and why the ninja have been so cagey about it
