all the curtis brothers are musically inclined in one way or another (soda learns the guitar, Pony was taught how to play a handful of hymns on the piano by their ma, Darry can SING man) (side note he's kinda shy about it but he has PIPES on him. the only way his brothers can get him to sing is to put them to sleep. pony n soda catch him singin along to himself in the mornin's) but all this to say soda was utterly FIXATED on startin' a family bad for a while when they were younger

its kinda crazy to me how many people i seen call kab manipulative and treating it was entirely malicious in its intent, yet i see very few people pointing out that derap is also. being manipulative and expecting so much of the people he trusts— like "trust me or you just die" is such an insane test to do and its crazy bc i do nawt believe he'd react well if pangi or zam or whoever tested him like he tests them constantly

im not saying kab isnt manipulative or that shes faultless bc she has done a lot wrong and a lot to hurt the people around her— esp zam. but its interesting bc her and derap just dont seem to be held to the same standards by the wider fandom even though they both seem to default to manipulation and attempted control so they feel secure w their friends and allies.

it isnt done w malicious intent, but they are still hurting the people around them and expecting far too much from the people theyve latched onto. they dont seem to understand unconditional loyalty is something that doesnt ACTUALLY exist, and it is not the exact same as having a friend u know u can rely on consistently no matter what. even having a friendship like mapicc and zam, mapicc and ro, vi and subz, or any of the likes ISNT abt never disagreeing or never acting against them in any situation ever.

its trust built over time and from experiencing lifesteal together. its about winning together, losing together, fighting side by side, and knowing when to stand up for urself and to fight against them if they are doing smt that truly hurts u and/or goes directly against your own morals and beliefs. it isnt abt "youll trust me no matter what and just accept it even if im doing smt i know will upset u", its abt knowing that u can still be friends at the end of the day. that, come a new season, or a new arc, they are still someone u can have fun w and rely on to continue to be themselves w you.

their attempts to force a bond like that will only hurt themselves and their relationship w the people around them in the long run, but i feel like this is a lesson theyll need to learn w time and by experiencing it themselves bc theyre too lonely and desperate to be by someones side currently to realize it yet.

edit : had a funny realization that there is ONE relationship on the server that seems to be exactly what kab and derap are searching for, and its mane and flame. they want and expect the same loyalty from their teammate that flame has for mane. flame goes directly against his own morals and and beliefs bc mane asks it of him, and passively follows down manes path of destruction simply bc theyre teammates. he doesnt even think mane is right, but that doesnt matter simply bc the only thing he cares abt on LS is mane. he likes other people like pangi, pentar, and zam but he would kill just abt anyone if it was part of manes plan simply bc he has no path of his own— he hasnt found himself yet, so hes following mane nd his ideals.

was thinking abt an apothecary diaries omegaverse au(bc cmon omegaverse social structures are so fun to play with) and came to the unfortunate realization that if u wanted an omegaverse au that fit closely to the themes and vibes of the canon, alpha jinshi and omega maomao who are both pretending to be betas makes the most sense(and lets be real thats the most boring version of straight omegaverse) and then i remembered how easily jinshi is transed lmao

so my omegaverse apothecary diaries au proposal is trans omega jinshi who was born an alpha, convinced the emperor to let him socially transition to a beta(as eunuchs would all likely be forced to transition to betas if they werent one originally), and intentionally never confirmed his dynamic post-reveal, all with the end goal of easing the emperor into the idea of jinshi eventually fully transitioning to an omega

with maomao while i absolutely could see her as a beta or alpha, i do think thematically it fits more to have her as an omega who poses as either an alpha or beta to be less appealing to the average person. honestly see her as having little to no care towards her secondary gender(and primary gender for that matter) in direct contrast to jinshi caring Very Much.

could totally see the imperial family as being very strict abt their members aligning with classic subgenders (omega women alpha men) and probably doing fucked up shit to ensure that thats what happens (ie studding an omega crown prince or bitching an alpha princess). emperor being worried while jinshi's young bc he shows a lot of classic omega presenting signs and he rlly does Not want to have to inflict that shit on him but knows his hand would be forced if jinshi turned out to be an omega. him being relieved abt it when jinshi turns out to be an alpha. jinshi being absolutely fucking Devastated when he presents as an alpha and it only furthering his drive to get the hell out of the imperial family bc he knows if he could transition freely if he does.

Okay what furniture sets from ACNH (or other games) do you think the 141+ your oc's would have?

I did not know how extensive those furniture sets could get so that was a fun research

But I'm uh I'm not good at interior designing so idk some of these may suck XD I'm only more certain about my own OCs' tastes

Price - Log Series He's always giving me the cabin/lumber vibes for me so

Gaz - mix of Sleek Series (New Leaf) and Modern Wood Series (New Leaf) To me, I always feel like Gaz has more of a mid-century modern vibes (I think the word is Bohemian mid-century aesthetic? basically vintage leather, wood panel, plants and rugs...just see the photo HAHA)

Ghost - Simple Series He's...uh- yeah I mean I think he can survive with a fridge and a solid sofa as long as he has his guns around LMAO maybe a mattress when he needs to yk, fancy a shag or something

Soap - Ironwood Series + Patchwork Series Tough one, I can't clock his vibes with the series available, so this is the closest I can decide on. I feel like he's also practical like Ghost, but also want to have a piece of comfort that might remind him of his childhood or home, so maybe the Patchwork bed + the other furniture in Ironwork Series.

Raven - the fun answer is Ice Series (New Leaf, New Horizon one lowkey sucks LOL), the more rational answer is a mix of Antique Series and Imperial Series, because I think she does like collecting imperial items sometimes (especially lamps, she'll def collect the Exotic lamp and Exotic wall shelf)

Fish - Sloppy Series Bro does not have his life together, so yeah he's not making his bed since he barely live in his flat, the med bay is his home now anyways

Jelly - Mermaid Series It's cute, it's pink, it's ocean theme, that is 100% Jelly coded set

B6 - mix of Log Series and Moroccan Series Like Raven, B6 also have affinity to collecting lights, and Moroccan lights and their pretty carpets are his fav (the game doesn't have said carpet but I'm just saying)

Viktor - mix of Gorgeous Series (New Leaf) and Antique Series Old fashion rich villain, yep. Gorgeous chair feels velvet-like to me which yes he owns several, though I would say his theme would be more so black, gold and green. I added Antique because he also like wood furnitures.

okay so you know when takeda manages to get ukai to come watch karasuno play for the first time and kagehina show off their freak quick and ukai is like "sensei how long have those two been paired together" and takeda is like "oh kageyama and hinata? they just met this year i've heard it was rocky at first but they're getting along well now" and ukai is like "what a shame". do you think he goes home and looks into them and finds out that kageyama's the lonely king and that his teammates abandoned him. do you think he looks and looks for hinata but can't find him until finally he stumbles across a no-name school that barely had a volleyball team and their only match lasted 31 minutes. do you think he wonders about how lonely they were. a coach can't replace teammates but do you think he decides to try and make sure that no one on his team feels lonely again.

Thinking abt how for elio meeting varric was having pretty much the dream and hope he had since he was a child realized, that one day someone would come into his life and would treat him like he was a part of his family, without strings attached, without the baggage of the crows, that he could look at someone and know they would be kind and would care for him without being buried six feet beneath carefully crafted layers of pretend disinterest. And how for varric elio was essentially a replacement for adam even down to his nickname, how varric's best years of his life was when he was walking around kirkwall with his best friend, getting to drink at the hanged man every single night with him and how much he missed being able to see adam as regularly as he did back then, and here comes this kid who has such a similar personality, with the same big eyes adam had, almost the same age adam was when he and varric met and theyre also both mages and so, if he tries just a bit hard, if he calls this kid rook (like the bird. not the chess piece) he can for a second pretend he's back in some nasty seedy bar having the time of his life with his best friend hawke.
