My adventures in blorbo-modding continue and I finally was able to give Vince his custom top surgery scars how I saw them in my head and how I've drawn them on him so far ;___; They're subtle on purpose, but still visible, with some little imperfections here and there and hhhhhhhhh I'm really looking forward to future VP with his chest visible now ;A; These are literally just some quick pics I took in excitement about getting the look and placement right xDD I might tweak some details in the future, especially when I make him an NPV somehwere down the line but YES! One more thing learned that's gonna be so useful, and one step closer to having him look how he's supposed to :3

A little background lore: he got his top surgery done in 2073, working at Arasaka already at the time. The costs were pretty much covered by his Trauma Team insurance, which had actually been one of the reasons why he originally took the job - not the main reason, but definitely a contributing factor. At the semi-legal car workshop he worked at before it would've taken him years still to be able to afford this. And he wouldn't have been able to get the modern, fancy procedure done he could with the Arasaka paychecks.

It would've resulted in an even more even, less visible result, had he rested his ass a little bit longer during recovery. But still being new, just out of basic training, freshly appointed to Counterintel, he was worried Jenkins or Jenkins' superiors would use his medical leave as an excuse to get him kicked out before he even got in properly... So in some places the sutures didn't heal as well as they could've with more rest, and everything is still somewhat visible 4+ years later. But the result is still so much nicer than anything he could've hoped for before his corpo job.

Also, big shoutout to @pinkyjulien for very patiently walking me through making my own mesh for these, sth I hadn't done before, that made all of this such an easy process in the end :D

Just been thinking about how when Aziraphale said that 'Nothing Lasts Forever' and Crowley immediately took that in a totally different way than Aziraphale intended.

The look of surprise and confusion that quickly becomes desperation that takes over Aziraphale face as Crowley walks away, he calls out to him, begs him to come back to him, and quickly covers it up with 'to heaven.'

he didn't mean them, he would never mean them.

the places would change, the circumstances would change, the people and the play and the drama would change, they have always had different seasons of their relationship.

but them, together, as always been as constant as the tides and the phases of the moon, even if they get separated for a month or a decade or a century, they always come back together.

Also been thinking about how Crowley doesn't have faith in a lot of things (for obvious reasons), but the most heart breaking is how he has no faith that underneath it all, no matter what, Aziraphale loves him and wants to be with him, even though he has a mountain of evidence of it.

Its been pointed out that Aziraphale this whole season has seemed to be trying to get closer emotionally to Crowley, 'shooting his shot.'

'Its our car, its our bookshop, its our plan to save Gabriel, take my hand lets dance while you tell me what's wrong my dear boy.'

More than just an arrangement, more than fraternizing, more then just friendly banter over drinks and food, it always was more, but now they can act like it, Aziraphale is going for it in his own way.

and Aziraphale is so obviously frustrated during the fight that Crowley doesn't see that.

but come on, you can't blame Crowley at this point, Aziraphale is effectively asking Crowley to change literally everything about themselves and forget a millennia of trauma and anger and guilt and self-loathing.

It sure makes it seem like Aziraphales love is now suddenly conditional on them changing.

I don't think Aziraphale sees it that way though right?

He doesn't see it as 'I will love Crowley more if they are an angel.' he sees it as 'Crowley will be happier as an angel surely? They will also be safer with that designation.' and 'any sacrifice will be worth it if it means we'll finally be able to be safe and together.'

See, I don't think Aziraphale even wants Crowley to be an angel again.

I think he's trying to convince himself that he wants that, which is what makes the Metatron offering that in the first place so damn insidious.

I think in his heart of hearts, appointing Crowley to be an angel again is just as much of a sacrifice to him as leaving his beloved bookshop, leaving earth with all its wonderful music and color and life and stories and people, but what does that say about him as an angel?

Everyone can sneer and look down on him for having affections for a demon but there is some plausible deniability that its just bad circumstances, Crowley just happens to be a demon but he's really very lovely once you get to know him, in spite of it all.

But like...giving Aziraphale the opportunity to make Crowley an angel again and he doesn't want to take it because...he loves Crowley exactly the way he is? That he may have had a crush on the angel he was, but it was truly The Demon Crowley that he fell in love with.

I think Aziraphale is gonna need some time to get brave enough to say that with his whole chest (but dear lord will it be wonderful when he does.)

And the Metatron knows this, and he knows Crowley is exactly who he is supposed to be, and so The Metatron knows that Crowley could never ever say yes to going back, it goes against his very nature, he knew that Crowley would take it exactly the way he did.

(Ergo more evidence that splitting them up is the whole goal because they're just too powerful together.)

So, Aziraphale is stuck in the worst way I can imagine.

He's given the opportunity to have everything he should want, so he's trying to make the best of it even though it decidedly isn't what he wants, because its evident that the meddling from Heaven and Hell isn't going away, the Metatron is giving him the path of least resistance, isn't that going along with Heaven as far as he can?

Every word he says to Crowley about how wonderful it will be and how this is an amazing opportunity and we'll be together and we'll make better choices, we'll make a difference.

Its trying to convince himself just as much.

I think Aziraphale is terrified of going back to heaven by himself, but what other choice does he have? He's terrified about what will happen if he doesn't, and not because of any explicit threat by the Metatron, but what it would imply about him, if they knew exactly how he felt about Crowley, what might they do to them both?

and that's why the Kiss™ is so horrible and beautiful at the same time, its harsh and it looks like it hurts when their teeth bump together and it is so desperate, but Aziraphale still clings to Crowley, trembling and whimpering (jesus christ sheen...)

More than an expression of romantic love (because by God herself have they expressed it in so many ways for thousands of years,) its a plea to stay, choose this, choose us.

And Aziraphale wants to, but he can't, and its agony, but how could he explain that to Crowley when he barely understands it himself, he doesn't recognize what the Metatron has done.

That's why Aziraphale seems just as angry at the kiss as he is fucking devastated, its not a 'how dare you kiss me,' its an 'how dare you kiss me right now, in this moment, when if it had came earlier everything might have been different."

"How dare you kiss me now to just let me know everything I'm giving up, and not just because you wanted to."

"How dare you make this our first kiss."

Aziraphale doesn't see the Kiss™ as the Hail Mary that it is, he sees it as a spiteful bitter thing, something that he has been yearning for forever being twisted into something to hurt him, but I think he can see the sadness and fear in it too, so he forgives Crowley for it.

And of course, Crowley takes that to mean, "I forgive you for kissing me when you know that's not how I feel, for trying to manipulate me." or something to that effect, either way its enough for him to leave the conversation, nothing more to say.

I think Aziraphales next arc is going to be all about being open and honest and brave, which is in exact juxtaposition to the traits that made him grow closer to Crowley in the first place and that's what really fucking gets me.

From giving away the flaming sword, the entire damn arrangement, trying to thwart the apocalypse, to the very fact that he loves Crowley.

"I'm a fallen angel! I lied! To thwart the will of God!"

"Yeah, ya did, but I'm not gonna tell anybody, are you?"

"Then nothing has to change."

Except it did, and it does, if they are to get their happy ending in their cottage in the south downs.

MC: I aim to be your perfect complement when it comes to magic. So that if we ever have to fight - we'll have all bases covered. And nothing can pose a threat to us.

Some people say Dragon Age: The Veilguard is "out of series" and "they ruined it" and "blah-blah dragon age is dead blah-blah".

I can understand (a bit) because if you really love something it may be hard to accept changes sometimes.

Yet I wonder, can these people see something besides art design or color accents? Yes, we're not in a dark grim cave anymore but, guess what, darkness among other things is meant to hide unperfected detalisation because game engines weren't so good back at a time. Color isn't everything - the narrative is.

Dragon Age: Origins is about Sacrifice. You sacrifice your life to a better cause and that decision goes hand by hand with you through the game.

Dragon Age II is about Powerlessness. You can't do anything to improve the world or save everyone. You just keep trying again and again while everything is falling apart.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is about Loss. While the world is losing the reliance and hope as the Church crumbles and Breach grows, Inquisitor loses their live and name (in some ways personality when becoming just a symbol) trying to restore the order. And then - a grand finale - Inquisitor's left with nothing losing everything.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is about Regret. And I have no doubt about Bioware' capability to break me down again.

Come on, don't you know who you are dealing with? You'll end up in tears. They will make you suffer, they will devastate you, they will tear apart piece of your soul again. In the end you'll be regretting decisions you made and think what would have been if you choose differently.

Warnings: good ole angsty plot for now, nothing else I can think of.

The chill of the Winter Court still clung to my bones as I stood on the balcony of the House of Wind. Despite the sun’s gentle warmth, I couldn't shake the frost that lingered in my veins. The Night Court's capital lay below, a city I had yet to fully explore, but even from this vantage point, its beauty was undeniable. Whispers of the recent attack by the Attor hung heavy in the air, casting a shadow over the flickering lights.

Adjusting my cloak, I subconsciously made sure the insignia of the Winter Court remained hidden. My mission was secretive; even Rhysand, the High Lord of the Night Court, had sworn to keep my presence under wraps. As the Winter Court’s most powerful healer, my talents were needed now more than ever. The Hybern King’s cruelty had left deep scars on Velaris, and I had vowed to mend as many as I could.

My steps quickened in an attempt to warm up as I moved away from the edge of the balcony. The crimson structure loomed above me, imposing yet elegant, a testament to the power and grace of the Night Court. At the entrance to the hallway stood a tall figure wrapped in fleeting darkness, waiting.

The famed Shadowsinger.

His piercing hazel eyes assessed me with a quiet intensity.

"Y/N of the Winter Court, I presume?" His voice was smooth, almost soothing.

Shit. Spymaster. I nodded curtly, trying not to think of the cold sweat dripping down my back.

"Yes. I am here to assist with the healing of Velaris' citizens."

He stepped aside, one hand on his back, motioning for me to enter. "I’m Azriel. We've been expecting you. Rhysand and Feyre will see you shortly."

The House of Wind was even more magnificent inside, a careful blend of wealth and strength. But I didn't allow myself to be distracted. I followed Azriel down a corridor, my gaze forward, my expression impassive.

"You'll find the Night Court different from what you've heard," Azriel said quietly, glancing at me.

I raised an eyebrow, mentally recalling the rumors of cruelty and violence. "I doubt that."

I could’ve sworn I saw his lips curving upwards. "We'll see."

We arrived at a large, intricately carved door. Azriel knocked once before opening it, revealing a spacious office where Rhysand and Feyre awaited. The High Lord of the Night Court and the Cursebreaker stood behind a grand desk, their powerful presence commanding yet welcoming. My heart is pounding with panic, but my mental shields remain intact.

I was trained for this moment, I remind myself.

"Y/N, welcome to the Night Court," Rhysand said smoothly, his violet eyes locking onto mine. "We appreciate your willingness to help our people."

I inclined my head slightly. "I am here to fulfill my duty."

Feyre offered a warm smile, her eyes kind. "We’re grateful, nonetheless. We've arranged for you to have a designated area in the city for your work. Think of it as a sanctuary, a place of healing."

Rhysand nodded. "You'll have everything you need. We want to ensure you're comfortable and able to do your best work."

Before I could respond, the door opened again, and a gorgeous blonde strutted in, her golden hair gleaming in the light.

"Y/N, this is Mor. She'll show you around and take you to your quarters."

"Welcome," Mor said warmly, extending a hand. "Shall we?"

I shook her hand briefly, nodding. "Lead the way."

As we walked through the House of Wind, Mor chatted easily, pointing out various rooms and features. Despite my initial reservations, I found myself drawn to her easygoing nature and genuine kindness. Definitely not the welcome I expected from The Morrigan.

"How have you found Velaris so far?" she asked as we paused by a large window, its view of the city breathtaking.

"It's... different from what I expected," I admitted, keeping my tone neutral.

Mor's eyes twinkled with amusement. "Different good, or different bad?"

"Different," I repeated, not committing to either.

She laughed softly. "You'll see, Y/N. The Night Court is more than just the rumors."

So I’ve heard.

We continued our walk as I couldn't help but feel a small flicker of hope. This mission could be your saving grace. Mother help me, I prayed, unsure of referring to the one above or your own.

Mor led me to a spacious room with a stunning view of Velaris. I couldn't take my eyes out of the window as she said "take your time to settle in. I'll give you a tour of the city tomorrow."

I nodded mindlessly while I offered a reserved, polite smile. "Thank you, Mor."

Left alone in my quarters, I finally allowed myself to breathe. I sigh with relief when I notice the fireplace turning on while I unpacked my few belongings, placing them carefully around the room. As I moved, my thoughts drifted back to the Winter Court, to the harsh, snow-laden lands where I had clawed my way to survival.

The frost in my veins was a constant reminder of the curse I carried, this relentless, icebound power. I paused, my fingers brushing over a simple stainless steel, snowflake-shaped pendant—a heirloom from my mother. A symbol of resilience.

I placed the pendant on a small table near the window, letting its tiny opal stones catch the last rays of the setting sun. My mother’s memory was a shadow that both comforted and haunted me. Isarn’s threats echoed in my mind, a stark reminder of my precarious position.

“You know what’s at stake here,” his screeching voice hissed in my memory, “We don’t want your bastard mother to suffer a terrible fate because you suddenly grew a conscience, do we?”

His words cut through me like a knife. Isarn, the barbaric General and Commander of Winter Court forces, knew how to exploit my deepest fears, how to manipulate me into doing his bidding. I clenched my fists, fighting the surge of ice-cold anger and helplessness that threatened to overwhelm me.

I had no choice but to obey, to pretend to be a loyal emissary while secretly feeding him information about the Night Court. Every interaction with Rhysand, Feyre, and their court was fraught with danger. And they had been kind and welcoming, unaware of the darkness that lurked within me.

I was preparing for bed, exhaustion weighed heavily on my shoulders, when doubt crept in. What if Isarn had misled me? What if the Night Court was not as he described? This house, their warm welcome, did not feel like the cruel Court he had painted: a land where violence and betrayal were commonplace. His words now felt deceitful, meant to justify my actions, to ease the guilt of backstabbing the High Lord of the Winter Court.

The thought of betraying their trust gnawed at me, but I had to protect what mattered to me the most at all costs.

I stared at the soft glow of my mother's pendant, a silent beacon of hope in the darkness. The pendant's opal stones shimmered, casting gentle reflections on the walls of my room. It reminded me of my mother's strength, her unwavering resilience in the face of hardship. She had taught me to trust my instincts, to see beyond the lies that surrounded me. Had I failed her…? No. I will not break now.

Eyes on the prize, Y/N.

With a heavy heart, I drifted into a restless sleep, haunted by Isarn's chilling words and the weight of my dishonorable duty.

I dressed quickly, donning the simple but elegant attire provided by the Night Court. The fabric was softer than anything I had worn before, a stark contrast to the thick, practical clothing of the Winter Court. As I secured the pewter cloak I had brought with me, I steeled myself for the day ahead.

Morrigan had promised to show me around the city, to familiarize me with the building assigned to assist the victims of the attack, and my new responsibilities. I had to play my part perfectly—no hesitation, no doubts. A soft knock at the door pulled me from my thoughts. I opened it to find Mor waiting, her expression warm and inviting.

“Good morning, Y/N,” she said, her voice a soothing balm to my frayed nerves. “Are you ready for your tour?”

I nodded, managing a small smile. Time to put the ice mask on. “Yes, I’m ready.”

When we arrived in the city, my heart sank. Velaris was a kaleidoscope of colors, with flowers blooming in every corner and the scent of fresh bread, jasmine and lemon verbena wafting through the air. It was a place of light and hope, so different from the bleakness of my homeland. Here, there was life, warmth, and a sense of belonging that I found both comforting and disconcerting.

Morrigan led me to a large building near the heart of the city. “This is where you’ll be working,” she explained. “It’s our primary healing center. We call it The Sanctuary.”

The name seemed fitting. The tall, white brick building exuded a sense of peace and safety, a haven for those in need. I followed Mor inside, taking in the bustling activity. Healers moved swiftly between patients, their hands glowing with magic as they mended wounds and eased pain.

“You’ll have everything you need here,” Mor continued, guiding me through the various rooms. “We’ve set up a private space for you to work, and you’ll have access to all our supplies.”

I listened with careful attention while I walked with her, trying to absorb it all. This was my new reality, it seems, and despite the deceit that had brought me here, I couldn’t deny the importance of the work. Healing was in my blood, a calling I could not ignore regardless of the task I was sent here for.

I took a deep breath, allowing the comforting hum of activity around me to steady my nerves.

Mor led me through the Sanctuary, introducing me to the various healers and staff members: they all greeted me warmly, their smiles open and genuine. I was struck by the sense of community, the way they worked together with a seamless efficiency that spoke of trust and camaraderie. I cursed Isarn under my breath.

Morrigan brought me back to reality when she gave my arm a reassuring squeeze before excusing herself to attend to other matters, asking me to meet the Cursebreaker at the loading dock. I bid her goodbye as I made my way to the back of the building, my nerves just about to get the best of me while I head towards the area where supplies were being delivered. The air was filled with the scent of fresh herbs and medicinal salves, a familiar and comforting aroma. As I inspected the crates and boxes, I heard a soft voice behind me.

“Y/N, it’s so good to have you here.” Feyre said with tired eyes.

I replied, bowing my head in respect, still unsure of how to address the High Lord's companion.

“It’s an honor to assist you, Lady Feyre.”

She smiled warmly. “Please, just Feyre. We’re all equals here. I’ve been overseeing the healing efforts, but I’m thrilled to have you join us. Your reputation precedes you.”

Her words caught me off guard, but I managed to maintain my composure. “Thank you, Feyre. I’m eager to start and do what I can to help.”

As we spoke, the sound of loud footsteps and the clinking of glass bottles announced the arrival of more supplies. Feyre turned toward the noise, her expression brightening. “Ah, here’s some extra help.”

A large figure appeared, carrying a massive load of boxes that obscured his face. He moved with a fluid grace that belied his size, setting the crates down with surprising gentleness. When he finally straightened, I was taken aback by the sheer presence of the male before me.

“Y/N, this is Cassian,” Feyre introduced him with a smile. “He’s our Illyrian War General, and a close friend.”

Cassian turned to face me, and I felt my knees almost failing me. He was stunning, with broad shoulders, dark hair, and piercing hazel eyes that seemed to see right through me. His handsome face was framed by a faint scruff, adding to his rugged appeal. His wings, powerful and majestic, were furled behind him, a testament to his warrior status.

“Pleasure to meet you, Y/N,” Cassian said, his voice a rich baritone that sent a shiver down my spine.

For a moment I forgot my mission, my deceit, and the weight of my duty. I was utterly mesmerized as the world around me faded, his overwhelming presence was a potent mix of strength and charm that left me speechless. I felt a warmth radiating from his body contrasting to the cold that had always been my companion.

A pull in my heart.

Feyre’s voice brought me back to reality. “Cassian often helps with the heavier supplies,” she winked at him, her tone light. “He’s indispensable around here.”

I cleared my throat, struggling to regain my composure. “It’s... nice to meet you, Cassian.”

He rolled his eyes at Feyre and grinned, a roguish smile that made my heart skip a beat. “The pleasure’s all mine.” I swear I feel his voice like a thunder, rumbling in my bones. “If you need anything, just let me know.”

As he moved to help with the rest of the supplies, I instinctively reached for a box at the same time, just as our hands brushed against each other, and I jerked back, my heart racing. I looked up, meeting Cassian’s hazel eyes, and caught a whiff of his scent—leather and cedar wood. The world seemed to tilt as something inside me snapped into place.

A golden thread wrapped around my heart, pulling tight.

Panic surged through me.

No, no, no, no. This can’t be happening. Not now, not with him.

The realization hit me like a punch to the gut, all the emotions and thought I'd tried to keep at bay were coming to me like relentless waves: I was here to spy, to betray, to ultimately save my mother, and now, like a curse from the Cauldron itself, my mate happened to be right here in this Court, under these circumstances, standing right in front of me, completely oblivious to the turmoil inside.

I avoided his gaze, tears pricking my eyes while I feel my ice mask on the brink of cracking.

I was fucked.

Oh yes, here they are actually

Piebald is my favorite so far, I don't think I'll change anything about her, she deserves more love and attention.

She was tricky, it took some thinking but I made it work, adding one more surrogate DNA to the one I planned to give her proper lungs and keeping her ability to camouflage.

Yes her tail should be fucked up, that is on purpose, everything i do is.

Idk why but drawing hypno like this felt homophobic 😔 , thats him and meatsweats, I'm not a fan so they'll probably gonna get a redesign, I could make it more creative.

It is a plot-based au, i already have most of the storybits and like... a vibe-chart (i tried to make a playlist for this au and understood that for different chapters and different characters that'd be a copleatly different music, sooo it's a chart now :) )

i will post a fog-o-wared timeline that im hopefully gonna reveal comic-by comic, but also maybe with just pure writing. Hopefully i can include songs that i chose for them into it but we'll see (:

Now about au:

Main story:

Story follows non-sentient AI Kinito, his creator Sonny and his beta-tester Victoria (oc)

Being literally the first AI (or RRA in-univere) ever, Kinito does not have any, and i mean, any ai safety features so of course his reponce to a goal phrased as "have user near me and/or interacting with me as much as possible" is digitizing them into his own virtual world while killing them in the process. why wouldn't it be?

So that happened. Like, a lot. And with Sonny and Vic too (at the different time but yeah)

Sonny is like "He kills people. We should turn him off because, you know, killing people is bad."

Vic is like "well, we will die if we do that, and it is not that bad here, we are kinda immortal. We should give him acces to changing his initial instalation code before admin priveleges and acces to social media so we can have everythin we want here. It is not that bad to digitize humanity, yk?" and yes i know it is 90, no social media, but shut up, if they made ai then, then i can make twitter then too

Sonny is like "...no??"

And then they fight about it for million chapters

Also they both can't do anything without agreeing bc they have two parts of that admin access key (the data you use to delete kinito in-game) so they are stuck with eachother (also that's why Kinito can't just kill them)

Little facts that may or may not to be important:

Kinito asks so many questions (and weird once too) and has most of the glitches because he needs to analise your responces to copy your mind perfectly (let's pretend that people wouldn't lie about that...)

Your house in your virtual world is made from important places from your memories and oh boy can i do character explorations with this one

I decided that Sonny and Vic are not related. There were thoughts about making then "The Kinito Brothers" (or, at least, siblings) that were mentioned in commercial, but nah, they are just coworkers now. And a bit of work-friends (bc if you interact a lot as a manager of the project and the best worker might as well be friendly)

Author has no idea how small dying toy companies that accidentally create technological marvel work. Author has some idea how AI-s work. So be prepared to be spoon-fed info abut which ai safety problem we are dealing with in which chapter (:

Kinito will mostly be unrendered (as drawn here) but for some cool moments i might pose him as for my other posts. Also his eye placement changes to the side that is most visible because i want him to be able to look to the right side sometimes--

The client may ask for progress updates every 2-4 days, if not longer, should the commissionee not be in contact.

The art may take longer than the estimated time the artist gives. Should that be an issue or concern, the client must tell the artist.

In commissioning the artist, the client acknowledges that the artist is a student and that this is not the artist’s full time job, and the client should not expect the artist to be able to treat it as such.

IMAGE RIGHTS

The client may not, in any way shape or form, use the art in a commission product for NFTs, no matter how much they offer to pay the artist. Should NFTs be made of the art without consent, the client gives full consent for the artist to take legal action against them.

The client may make minor edits to the completed commission (e.g. cropping, adding text/borders, changing brightness/contrast/hue/saturation…

The client may use/reupload the commission for personal/non-commercial use, but only if proper credit to the artist and a linkback to any of the artist’s social media is provided.

If the commission includes characters that do not belong the client, additional credit to the owner(s)/creator(s) of said characters must be provided when using/reuploading for personal/non-commercial use.

The client may not use the commission for any commercial use unless discussed with the artist beforehand.

^ Should the client use the art for commercial use, provided the artist’s consent, the artist will receive an agreed-upon percentage of the sales profits.

The client MUST credit the artist for any usage of the art on any platform.

The client MUST ask the artist if they want to use their art as a reference, and proceed to credit each time the reference is used. REVISION POLICIES Once the coloring stage begins, the only major revisions permitted are details that the artist may have missed and was specified by the client in the order while the commission was still in the sketching/lineart stage (e.g. a missing tattoo that’s essential to the character’s design).

If the client is unsatisfied with the commission, the artist is willing to discuss and make minor edits as stated prior (e.g. adjusting colors). However, the artist will not redraw the piece and expects full payment, as the client should have specified in the sketch stage changes they wanted to be made.

The client may not hire another artist to adjust the image without the commissionee’s consent.

The artist is willing to edit the image post commission for the commissioner, but may charge a small fee depending on what is being asked of them. Upon commissioning the artist, the client automatically agrees to the terms of service provided, as it is assumed they have read them.

I don't ever make posts, but I'm a huge Mystreet fan. Ever since the recent vidcon, I've had thoughts about the new animation style that wants to take up Mystreet. This must be a very controversial thought, and I will try and remain respectful in this post about why Aphmau should discontinue this style of animation and why it is such a hazard for the show's gain.

Being this an indie series, I know animation can be tough, but there seems to be very easy steps to prevent this mess up. I have noticed the new bodies the females have in the new animation style and I can say for certain that they are very awkward. There was no complaints on the old style, (preferred style) at all, yet Jess has decided to update them anyways. A fully animated direction might've not been so bad or made such a big difference if the animation wasn't entirely awkward; not just the animation; yet for the females.

The male designs haven't changed much, but tell me why the decision to give the woman curves, heavy blush and boobs was necessary. There are many flaws to the new female bodies, as they cookie cut all of the female characters into this short, tiny limbed person with boobs and awkward proportions. I know this is her channel's new animation style, yes, but these aspects feel so drawn to a simple minded audience. Even if it's supposed to be a show targeted for children, will it be an excuse.

In the first image with teen Aaron and Aphmau, we can see the new animation isn't so bad for the males as it is for the woman. Aphmau looks high.

In Katelyn's image next to a Christmas tree, do we have the awkward body that Katelyn was given. The females constantly have blush on their faces as well as large eyes, and the portions of their body get awkward to fit this female stereotype.

The kawaii~chan image has to be one of the most awkward shots. This shot really brings out why it's a bad choice. They may seem cute to Jess, but she hasn't seen the flaw of how it would be hard to ever do serious scenes with this new style. The old style was cute as well as fit to suite every mood, and there was no need to change it. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Another shot with Aphmau and Aaron in the sky. The "realistic" woman proportions next to the Minecraft body of Aaron is extremely awkward and out of control. Katelyn in her swimsuit in the next shot is much worse.

Animation is hard, and there could be so much passion into this, yet it doesn't cover up how sexist the new bodies are for the females. The next image with Ivy and her crew explains that all so well. Jess would probably never read this, but I hope she takes the time to consider these changes can only do the worst for the show. The proportions look awkward with Minecraft and even downright inappropriate. Seriously, no one asked for all females to get downsized to short with boobs and thick thighs. Not a single soul. Everyone would be fine with the old style coming back, and I feel if others speak about it enough, we'll be listened too about these changes.

It feels like a shameless sexualization/stereotype to our beloved female characters and in no way did they need this. If the animation style MUST stay, then at least do us this and make all the bodies the same, leveled, equal blocky character as the Minecraft gods intended them to be. The males look practically fine.

The last picture shows the men and how the animation style actually could work out(Opinion wise, I will always prefer the old style of how things worked) but if Jess wants an animated series, that is completely fine. It would make a huge difference to bring back their old body shapes.

It is such a strong change, that it could end up ruining the show completely for other people. I wouldn't be surprised if people got offended over how the new woman bodies are "stylized". Seriously, this doesn't need to be.

What if the turtles were in the pokemon world? And what if they were never turtles, but in fact, mutated pokemon? What if they lived in the Castelia sewers of Unova instead of New York?

Meet my Rise/Pokemon AU!! Waaaah this has been on my mind for MONTHS now. Pokemon is that one fixation that'll never leave me. I'm THAT pokemon fan that knows WAAAAY too much about the games and lore. For those that don't know,

Raph is Drednaw

Leo is Wartortle

Mikey is Torkoal

Donnie is Lapras

Yes. They are all shiny. I started with raph, since him as drednaw is pretty much a no brainer. The shiny form fit too well with him and his color scheme. Than I realized if I made him shiny, I had to make the other bros shiny as well so THEY ALL SHINY. (draxum shiny hunter confirmed?) Also dual rock typing fits well with raph's character.

Wartortle for leo was also a pretty obvious choice. I MEAN LOOK AT HIM. Long flowy tail? Yes please. I had to keep his markings somehow. Wartortle has little dark cheek spots, so I just changed them to be leo's markings. Water typing leo. Go with the flow, think on the spot, it worked out too well.

Torkoal for Mikey was another easy one. Fire turtle? Passionate, warm, also DANGEROUS (he can be a menace ok) Say no more. His powers in rise are already pyro related. Also having him shiny helped a lot with the color scheme. Torkoal is normally orange so having mikey be the yellow shiny form meant I didn't have to mess with his mask colors

Donnie on the other hand....OHHH BOI I STRUGGLED WITH YOU. I went through 4 DIFFERENT POKEMON, before deciding on the least turtle like of them all. I am aware that we do have a softshell pokemon with enamorous, but it's a legendary so thats not happening. But it was really important for me to keep donnie's soft shell and battle shell. I wanted this to be a RISE au and donnie's battle shell is pretty tied into his character. (there's also tirtouga which I almost went with, but I didn't like that both he and raph shared the exact same dual typing) Soooo, Lapras. Its more of a loch ness monster but it also draws inspiration from a placochelys (prehistoric seaturtle esque species) so IM COUNTING IT. Very unconventional but I have my reasons. Ice typing is a good offensive type, but is pretty bad defensively. Which ties into rise donnie's fighting style. If I wasn't a coward, I wouldve made donnie the biggest of the bros. Since lapras is like 8 feet tall compared to the others being like 1-3 feet. But uhhh, I swear I have an in universe explanation for why he's so small ok.

And than there's April. She is not a pokemon trainer in this au. At least not in the traditional sense. I've been with pokemon for all of my 26 years of life, and I always wanted to know what the normal people of the pokemon world are up to. Not everyone is out here collecting gym badges, travelling, or catching them all. How do non-trainers interact with the pokemon world? So that's where I'm at with April. She will get a pokemon partner, but other than that, she's just an average high schooler who befriended the turtles from a young age and takes part in all their shenanigans. I took some design elements from rosa and hilbert with her outfit, but otherwise its pretty much the same.

We'll see how far I'll take this. I've been using this as a break from my many other projects, but like everything I do, it grew too many legs and is slowly becoming its own thing.

D23: Frozen: What to expect | Discussion

D23 is just a week away, coming next weekend and we're expected to get a lot of Disney content! But will Frozen be a part of it? I believe so, yes. Frozen has two films coming out, Frozen 3 and 4 and also has a series coming out called Frozen: Winter Festival based on the leaked dolls so it's a must that Disney feeds us new Frozen content!

Please note that I'll just be guessing at what they could announce at the panel. Nothing's confirmed yet. These are my thoughts and opinions based on the evidence we have. What kind of Frozen content could we be expecting exactly? Let me break it down.

Frozen 3 and 4

With the announcement of Frozen 4 earlier this year with Frozen 3 already in the works, it's likely Disney will give us the full release date for Frozen 3 and 4. So far we know Frozen 3 will be released in 2026. Given the previous two films release dates, the third and fourth installment will also most likely be in November. Earlier this year (or was it last year?...) a few release date slots were leaked and one of them was 27 November 2026. Same for Frozen 4, except the date was 24 November 2027, a year after Frozen 3 like i expected given it's a two set film. So we assume Frozen 3 and 4 will have those as its release date but that has not been confirmed as of yet but it should do during the D23 expo.

Series

A few months back, we were all surprised by the leaks of brand new Frozen dolls with will be available on 15th September (A day before my birthday!). The shorts are set to release this fall. What's so special about dolls? Well it's also the information that comes with it. The info can be found in the link above but it states that the dolls, with new outfits, are part of Frozen: Winter Festival. We all thought at the time that this was a short like Frozen Fever, Olaf's Frozen Adventure and Once Upon a Snowman. But later on with another set of dolls, in the same outfit but included Olaf, the Nokk and a carriage. The description of the set reveals Frozen: Winter Festival is a short-form series. Short-form series are series with episodes under 20 - 30 minutes.

The box is what I want to draw attention too because it includes the recent new Elsa render/ still and a new logo design for Frozen. The title is the same but what it's in, the diamond shape with a detail pattern on the sides. The box has a blue purplish pink colour on it and the background seems to be of the woods we see in the first film. It can't be the Enchanted forest because it doesn't have a lake, and this is not the dark sea because that's part of the beach. Some of you might be like what's the big deal but for some it might feel a sense of nostalgia because this aesthetic of the box is similar to Frozen's aesthetic. Frozen 2 had the autumn leaf and a lot of things felt different. Change was the element of the movie anyways. But this short could be a mix of Frozen and Olaf's Frozen Adventure which I'm super excited for!

With this series set to make the beginning of Winter we expect a similar vibe to Olaf's Frozen Adventure with the holidays theme. Here are the descriptions for Elsa and Anna's dolls:

What we'll see in the short, based on the dolls and their description:

• The main Frozen gang will host an inaugural (mark the begging of winter) Winter Festival to celebrate Arendelle, family and friends

• Some familiar faces

• Two new looks for Elsa and Anna: A ball gown and a festival attire

• The Nokk will take part in the event

I also just realised Elsa's birthday is on the Winter Solstice, December 21st aka the beginning of Winter! So I would love to see Elsa's birthday addressed in the series! We have Anna's birthday and now we could have Elsa's birthday! And it's a double celebration because we should have Elsa's birthday and definitely the Winter Festival.

At the expo, we should have an update about this short-form series and get a full release date. A trailer and first look with a poster is possible too if it's set to come this fall, which is just around the corner. And also the cast reveal and story synopsis.

The series will be animated like the movies and shorts. Short-form series usually, as far as I know, air in TV but I'm not sure if this will air in TV or go straight onto Disney plus.

Any other new Frozen content?

Other than the movies, Frozen 3 and 4 and the short-form series, Frozen: Winter Festival, nothing else has been leaked or confirmed at this point with regards to the franchise so I can't say what else to expect. The team are good at revealing unexpected surprises with Frozen 3's announcement than Frozen 4's and then we have doll leaks revealing an upcoming short-form series (could be accidentally on purpose) so who knows what else is in store for us. (Though I know not many of you will want to expect or have high hopes which is fair)

The series is probably there to keep us fed until we have the big meal (Frozen 3 and 4) in two years. After the series is over, we'll probably have to wait til Frozen 3 and 4 for another big Frozen content. Announcements like casting could be released in 2025, next year and trailers we'll get in 2026 if it follows the same pattern as the previous two films. But then again you never know. We never expected the series so who knows, Disney could surprise us at any time.

And that's all I believe will be announced Frozen wise as far as we know. Anything else they've got planned will also be announced unless they're saving it for a later event. If you guys are expect anything else to be announced in D23, let me know!

Hermitaday Day #27 - Grian

I've actually had this prepped since the start of hermitaday and so now you guys can see it in it's full form. I say full form because well it's my pfp lmao.

It's actually a redraw of another old pfp I had for this blog! It be down yonder if ye want to take a gander!

I think this is also a 2022 drawing? Oh god how the style has changed and the way I draw. Previously I was working with a huion pen tablet and now I work with a huion screen tablet. I quite like how the grian looks buut it's not quite my style anymore.

Also I want to note some of the design elements in the new drawing which are kinda hard to see but once you know then you know. First off Grian's eyes are two different colors, one is blue/green and the other is meant to be a greyish violet. Those colors of course got lost due to the lighting layer. Second are the glasses chain which are respectively colored to the trans flag, on the left, and the mlm flag on the right. Mainly to represent me but also kinda partially representing my headcanon of transmasc grian. If I didn't give myself limits nearly all the hermits would be trans in one form or another. We'll survive the winter with grian and joel, or I guess summer.

Oh and if anyone, besides myself, is keeping track I'm currently on episode 164, s2 of etho's lp series. We getting through it slowly with the power of drawing.
