The one obstacle here is the monetary incentive, to adhere to your job's idea of well-drawn, It's hard... But when artists are drawing, they rarely make this distinction, and equate the monetary worth of the drawing directly to their own worth as a person. If you claim cash is steering your art, fine, but let its impact end there. It has no right to speak on your soul.

It’s such a shame for what Netflix has done to the Stone Ocean anime. It look longer than any other part for it to be announced, only dropped 12 episodes at the end of that year (8 months later), are only dropping 13-25 3 days from now, and most likely aren’t dropping the next 12 until a year later, which has killed a lot of people’s hype. Imagine if they did this with GK.

lol stone ocean started releasing in the 90s and jojo as a whole hasn't gotten a decent and consistent anime project until 2012 and yet the series managed to become iconic, beloved and influential just fine. so not only the hype around it won't get stifled because of this frustrating releasing schedule, it will just get stronger with every batch dropped since people had to wait for it for months 🤷‍♀️ renewed interest, virality results in renewed sales of merch, which is the end goal of any anime project. a few people tweeting or posting on reddit "awww it sucks, i'm not even excited anymore!" won't hurt the franchise in any way lol. it just adapted to the way things seem to be working now, idk. if they dropped 12 episodes of gk and fucked off for 8 months i'd be happy with it actually because i don't like the weekly lifestyle at all and it wouldn't be any different in terms of releasing than having one episode per week for 3 months and then having to wait for another 8 months for a new season
