Soak Up The Sun - Fun Things/Facts

My favorite thing about writing my fic so far is exploring the relationships between my OC and the team. For example, I LOVE writing Emily and Derek the most, because they definitely have brother/sister vibes, and they remind me of my relationship with my own brother. I also want that for Kassidy: to have them there as her older “siblings” in a way. I especially love how close Kassidy and Emily are becoming.

(I’m going to be writing a lot about Kassidy’s relationships with the team so I’m gonna put a read more thing here now.)

Emily and Kassidy stay up too late talking on the phone, talking about boys (and girls) they used to like when they were younger, telling stories of embarrassing things they’ve done. They go on breakfast dates all the time, sometimes inviting the other BAU girls along, but sometimes it’s just the two of them. Emily convinces Kass to adopt a cat so her apartment won’t feel so lonely. The two of them like to go to pet stores and buy matching sweaters for their cats. They also constantly text each other dumb things that are on their minds. “I saw a fat squirrel today” “!!!no way!” Kassidy helps set up a private facebook for Emily so they can share pictures to each other (this is placed in 2010/2011 so they don’t get instagrams just yet). They love taking selfies with their cats, as well as taking pictures of the sunsets they see when on the jet. They start collecting postcards from the towns they visit and write them to each other, so when they get home they have fun mail to look at. Emily’s ringtone is the Kim Possible theme song.

And then there’s Rossi, who’s one of the team Dads(TM). I like to think Rossi sees Kassidy as the child he never had (SPOILER ALERT before Joy gets introduced to the story LMAO), so he’s extra sweet on her- and spoils her rotten. She never asks him for anything but eventually he starts buying stuff for her and paying for groceries to be delivered to her apartment and she’s like “???? what are you doing?” And he’s like “you’re my daughter now I am taking care of you.” LOL. Of course later on when Joy joins the BAU fam Rossi introduces her to Kassidy like “Joy this is my other daughter” and Joy is like “Cool I have a sister!” And Kass is like “I’m not actually his daughter tho-” “shush Kass you’re my kid, now smile for the camera.” She puts up with it and accidentally calls him “dad” once in front of everyone and it’s that whole scene from Brooklyn Nine-Nine and she’s like “no i didn’t why would I do that” lol. Rossi puts her in his phone as “Sunshine” since he’s the first one to ever call her that. She has him in as “Team Dad.” His ringtone is That’s Amore by Dean Martin. “When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that’s amore~”

And then Hotch is like the other Dad(TM) who just wants to watch Kassidy and Spencer succeed at life and must protect them at all costs. Kassidy babysits for him a lot and freaking LOVES Jack. She becomes his unofficial “big sister” and lives for it. She loves taking Jack and Henry to the movies and park and is the best babysitter JJ and Hotch can find. Hotch has found her sleeping on his couch one to many times and just puts a blanket over her and lets her stay the night. He gets her coffee in the morning as a thank you for watching his son. At first she was embarrassed but eventually she gets a key to Hotch’s apartment, since he has a key to hers, and she just shows up sometimes just cause she can. She’s bad at buying groceries for herself but you bet your last dime she’s buying healthy foods for Hotch and Jack. She stocks their pantry FULL with foods, often showing Aunt Jessica where she hid the snacks so Jack (and Hotch) don’t try to get to them. She ends up with her own drawer in Hotch’s room that has some of her clothes and shower stuff in it cause of how often she’s over there. Her ringtone for Hotch is the COPS theme song LMAO.

Morgan is Kassidy’s certified Big Brother(TM) and he will hurt anyone who hurts his baby sister. He takes on the role so naturally around her and loves her for making him feel life can be normal sometimes. He has to tease her a lot about her crush on Reid, but that’s what big brothers do, ya know? The two of them like to go out for drinks and dancing when they get home from cases. Gotta remind themselves that life is beautiful and fun too. She buys Morgan a bunch of books and DVDs that she thinks he’ll like, and he always promises that he definitely read/watched them, but she knows he didn’t. Except when she buys him Tangled on DVD, telling him that it’s her FAVORITE Disney movie of ALL TIME. She knows he watched that one because she hears him humming some of the songs that got stuck in his head. They also hav the complete opposite taste in music, often fighting over what station to listen to when in the car. Usually Hotch or Emily has to tell them to knock it off or they’ll end up hitting each other (nicely). Kassidy HATES running, but she gets up at 6am on Saturdays to run with Morgan. She’s getting more stamina because of it, but she won’t admit it. Her ringtone for him is her favorite song, “Soak Up The Sun” by Sheryl Crow.

Penelope and Kassidy are besties for sure. They have girls night once a week when they can, binging on ice cream and watching lame rom-coms (Kass can’t handle secondhand embarrassment movies but she’ll watch them if Penny asks- hiding her face in her hands when those scenes are on). They like to go shopping together, hyping each other up in dressing rooms and picking out cute/colorful clothes. They always do brunch when they go shopping. They spend a LOT of money when they’re together, and have no filter whatsoever. Kassidy tends to get drunk by the end of the night if she was with Penny, which is always odd considering at the beginning of the day she swore she wouldn’t drink anything. She ends up taking a whole small chest for herself at Penny’s apartment, keeping clothes and toiletries in there. Penelope joked once that Kassidy had her stuff scattered all around the state of Virginia. She wasn’t wrong. Kassidy’s ringtone for her is “Walking on Sunshine” by Katrina & The Waves. They also text cute pictures of baby animals to each other a lot.

JJ and Kassidy love getting mani-pedi’s together. And when they’re together it’s either a whole spa day, or they’re at the firing range- there is no in between. No matter what they do, a lot of money will be missing from their accounts at the end of the day, much to Will (and Rossi’s) dismay. Kassidy see’s JJ as a sister too, but more like a twin/super close best friend type of sister, not an older sister like she see’s Emily. She’s totally a Jemily shipper (as a joke, but like <w<). They like to lay in the grass in JJ’s backyard and stare at the clouds, talking about all the places they’ll visit someday. One time they planned a whole trip to Greece, pulling out their phones and looking up ticket prices for the plane ride, hotel, sight-seeing and more. They haven’t fulfilled that trip yet, but they sometimes mention it to one another, reminding themselves that they will go. Someday. JJ’s ringtone is the opening Disney theme to every movie ever.

And then there’s Spencer <3 From the beginning she felt kind of drawn to him, his mannerisms, his love of knowledge- all of it. They like to get coffee together on their days off and trade books (Kassidy had to buy a bunch of new books recently so she had more to trade with him). She’s been to his apartment quite a few times, watching French movies and Earth Documentaries. They just like being in each others company (uwu). Kassidy probably texts Spencer the most, even though he detests texting- but that doesn’t stop him from replying. Her text tone for him is R2-D2 beeping (even though he says he’s not really a fan of Star Wars). During cases they’re almost always paired up together to work on geo-profiling and victimology, sitting close at the table with their legs just barely touching, their feet lightly pushing into each other every once in a while to remind the other that they’re still there. They’re totally NOT playing footsie (they totally are). Her ringtone for Spencer is the Star Trek opening theme. “Space, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship, Enterprise.”

Kassidy hasn’t met some of the other fun characters of the show yet, but eventually she’ll love all of them too <3 This fic takes place in season 6, after Hayley dies and right before Emily “dies,” ;) ANYWAYS I wanted to rant about this a little so um, thanks if you read it? Btw this is not that fluffy bc well it’s me I’m angsty angst boy but I tried uahduajd

they first started developing feelings (in the current times) in part because being constantly surrounded by their big loud neighbors made both crave for something calm and peaceful and they found that in their small moments together.

Moments like going to lunch together after a Mercosur meeting, helping each other on boring work things, or talk endlessly in a quiet corner of whatever party they might be. They’re really comfortable around each other, both relax a lot and are more themselves than in big groups or with some other people.

Para is also the one person uru can’t say no to. Completely powerless against those big shiny eyes and that little face he does when it wants something. There’s just so much self-control a man can have in him

One hc I really like is that Sebastian, being this more serious man who tends to avoid strong emotions, is completely taken aback by how Dani is much more open about his feelings and emotionally mature, he’s not afraid to voice it and doesn’t try to look cool and detached as too many (including Sebastian) do.

And this attitude makes Sebastian sometimes be hit HARD with FeelingsTM he has a hard time containing and doesn’t know what to do with them. It takes him a while to understand, oh, is this what being in love feels like?

both but specially uru don’t have much relationship experience. They’ve had their affairs and had strong emotional connections before, maybe even a little bit of love, but nothing that he felt he couldn’t stop himself from having if he just put the on the effort.

And when both realize that new layer of love over all those shared moments from before, there’s a bit of that DenialTM. Uru is sure is nothing more than initial infatuation, Para not for a second believes his feelings could be returned, and neither wants to risk what they do have with an affair or worse, with a rejection.

I don’t have a specific hc abt their first kiss but one possibility I like is just they talking one day and Uru gets one of those Strong Feelings after something Para says and in a crazy moment of impulsiveness he kisses him. It’s not like Uruguay to have moments like this, to be impulsive ever, which forces him to realize that he’s way deeper in love than he had imagined.

Another possibility is Para kissing him first, and then Uru kinda rejects him bc he doesnt know how to deal with Strong Feelings and would hate more than anything in the world to end up hurting Dani later. So like things get really weird for a few days or weeks until baby realizes he’s being an idiot and go kiss his man back like he should have.

They decide to keep it a secret for a while, mostly because they know Martins reaction will be.... something. Also because both kinda still feel like this is just a fragile little crush from the other and telling it to people might make it too real. So for a long time (maybe years!) they don’t tell a soul.

At first they are very very careful with the secret but after a while they’re just trying to see how many times they can kiss behind martin’s back or have sex in his bedroom, hold hands under the table, sext during dinner, etc, without getting caught.

But is during this time they develop some habits that stay with them forever, like having most of their dates are their own homes and trying to make the best out of it, going to small distant towns on the weekends where they can’t easily be recognized, boat rides to the middle of nowhere that end in a picnic on a hiding spot, etc.

After a while they’re also resisting to tell the world to avoid changing this comfortable dynamic they’ve developed, like it wouldn’t be the same without the secret. Sometimes things are better when you keep them to yourself, no one needs to knows.

But eventually they do tell everyone. Arg reacting to Guayguay is my favorite thing. To paraphrase an anon for a while ago “Martin: just found out Daniel and Sebastian’s lives don’t revolve around me. #disappointed and #upset”. He’s shocked lol he thought he was part of the trio not that he was the third-wheel 😔 and though the three still hang out together after, Martin is constantly DISGUSTEDtm at any form of affection they show ever. The first time Dani calls Sebastian Mi Cielo in public he has a fuking stroke.

Para’s mom was never a fan of anyone dating her boy in the first place, but with all the options he had in the continent, she’s happy he picked Uruguay lol (basically Sebastian is the kid all the parents want their kid to date)

PDA! Thanks to another anon, I’ve adopted the hc that para calls uru mi Cielo and mi Sol. Uru calls Pari mi vida. Constantly. It’s gross.

Also they hold hands so much??? Is that even allowed?? And if before they were kissing and holding hands in secret now they do it in front of everyone.

Daniel’s social media is full of pictures of their dates together, pictures of the homemade romantic dinners, of the places they visit, and the descriptions are either small romantic texts or just emojis like 🥰🍷👬 💕

Sebastian’s on the other hand have spontaneous pictures of Dani he took when he wasn’t looking, like him gazing at the sunset or sleeping on the couch looking like an angel. And the descriptions are even more disgusting bc it’s just things like “my love”, “sunshine”. Martin is this close to blocking them

No matter how much time has passed, Sebastian still a little flushed whenever Dani is a little too sweet with him, or tells him he loves him. Like homeboy literally cannot Believe this is happening.

heyooo, could i request a normal BNHA matchup?

I’m a 5’2 gay male, black hair, freckles, green eyes, sort of on the chubby side? I sometimes wear glasses and either dress like a hobo, middle school boy, or femboy lol.

Anyways besides looks- I’m kind of,,, weird. I’m pagan, and I really like nature even though I’m kind of a germaphobe when it comes to being outside.I’m autistic so there's that, It’s usually hard for me to make new friends bc I come on rather,,, strong and hate the awkward first meeting phase. But when I do manage to make friends I’m always there for them in whatever they need and always do my best to help them through their problems (if they want) or just listen. I’m also selectively mute, but when I do talk I usually have a stutter, so I prefer to listen to other people talk. But when I do talk it’s usually about my special interests or something I'm into like Star Wars (a really big one atm), snakes, and the colour yellow. Speaking of snakes, I have a snake named Shigaraki and a tarantula named Princess :)

Some negative traits about me… I can be quite a jealous person. And I have these sort of sad episodes? I’ll kind of stay in my head and overthink waaayyy too much so that’s not fun. Some things I enjoy,,, I don't do much besides work, but when I have free time I enjoy writing for my friend, story-based video games, and I really like cooking. When I have time to relax, I like to read manga and Harry potter, I don’t really read many new books anymore. Kinda random but I also enjoy knitting too lol. My hogwarts house is Slytherin, and I’m a capricorn :)

My music taste is… a bit complicated. On one hand, half of my playlist is Steven Universe songs, then I have stuff at every end of the spectrum like Dean Martin, Mother Mother, Savage Ga$p, Freddie Dredd, Corpse Husband, and a variety of J-Pop artists (don’t come for me, J-Pop is better than K-Pop), and a few random sorta indie songs scattered around my playlist. Atm my favorite songs are Verbatim, Escapism (from SU), Line Without A Hook, and Inertia.

What I look for in others, hmmm, I guess someone who can carry a conversation and is good at like, picking up on things ya know? Someone who can be really patient with me and stuff, someone who loves kids, oh and someone who’s willing to watch Star Wars with me, thats a big one lmao.

Something I’d avoid would be a disrespect of others boundaries, a really judgy person, like someone who hates on others or something they do for literally no reason, and someone who’s unnecessarily hateful to babies/toddlers/kids. Idk that one just bothers me a lot lol. And someone who gets frustrated easily, I grew up in a toxic and abusive household so thats a no go for me.

This ones kind of complicated but here’s my quirk!! I came up with it on my own so I really don’t know if someone has something similar,,,

Okay, so my hero name is Hallucino! Similar to Aizawa, my quirk activates when I look at/lock eyes with someone and the effect drops when I blink. So once they’re under the effects of my quirk, I can make them hallucinate and see any sort of setting I want. My signature setting/move is called Vertigo, it’s sort of a trippy LSD setting? So it makes the person nauseous and, well, like they have vertigo. I can create people in the hallucination, but it really wears me out and gives me a migraine. When they’re in that state they can't see the real world, and can faintly hear, but they can feel everything in the outside world. Anyways I think my quirk’s pretty damn cool.

While buddy boy does that to everyone, he always looks forward to talking to you specifically. He LOVES when you start talking about the things that you love. He could just sit there, and listen and soak in all the information. And then when he reminds you that he WAS indeed listening by referencing to something, and your eyes light up? Mirio could cry.

I feel like this guy has little to no sense of personal bubble? 50 Word Prompts - Malcolm Astr, Martin Esmer

Hands

"Surgeon's Hands" have never been so literal, or so beloved. At least, that's what the younger man thinks as he feels them caressing his body with expert care.

Sleeve

The first time Malcolm sees the fairie without his arms covered - since the Incident - he has to remind himself that maybe the man is sensitive. He stares, but in simple admiration.

"Do they hurt?" He asks, cautious as ever with his fragile lover.

"Not any more."

And like that he's touching and kissing, pressing adoration into the marked and starred limbs.

Rescue

"I'll get you out for good some day."

Well, it was some day. The sirens blaring and the riots diverting most of the attention, it's a simple thing, really, for the changeling boy to slip in, pick a few locks, and slip right back out with his beloved in tow.

Opera

Martin never heard his boy sing before, he realizes, as a lovely tune floats from down the stairs where Esmer is making breakfast. He doesn't recognize the words, but it's all in French anyways.

Mostly he's amazed at how well it carries. A miracle they haven't gotten noise complaints. He'll have to try harder, then. And maybe introduce his boy to Mozart.

Water

It very quickly becomes apparent to Malcolm that the childhood "game" Astr is describing is straight up torture.

"And your father told your 'friends' to play this with you…? Even after you asked them to stop?"

Shopping

Martin immediately notices the unconscious longing Esmer holds in his gaze as they pass the baby clothes. Suddenly envisioning his lover plump and round and full of his legacy, he can't help but long as well. Soon, he resolves, they'll be adding that aisle to their weekly outing.

Street

"Astr, I told you, it's a grid system."

"And I told you I don't know what a grid is."

Window

He found glass markers in a discount bin and has been painting the windows for an hour now. It's the only part of Notre Dame that he misses, and Martin has been such a help, printing photographs and using those surgical hands to do the intricate linework.

Cooking

"And you're sure this one won't poison me?"

"My love, I can't even tell with you any more. But no, I've let other human people try this and no one's died yet."

Quiz

"And this is..?"

"The… the hippo… hippocampus?"

"Very good, my boy! You're doing great."

He is so grateful he decided to try and understand Martin's passions. It's only fair.

Storm

Malcolm had thought the faerie would be afraid of thunder, but it's adorable to see him running and dancing in the rain. He hasn't really been… joyful, since Malcolm saved him that night. It's a sign of healing. And, he idly thinks, he has a part in it.

Time

"It doesn't really mean anything to me any more."

Go figure. Allegedly a thousand years of living will do that to you.

But he does see the need to spend as much of it with Malcolm as possible.

Picture

Martin sketches and paints the young man constantly. He cannot help but be offended when he learns Esmer has never seen himself in a photograph, and several tasteful shots (and a brief break with a decidedly un-tasteful couple of shots), and a small pack of photo paper later, Esmer really can appreciate how accurate the art is.

Blanket

When it starts to tatter, Astr gifts Malcolm with a new, larger weighted blanket for their cuddle sessions.

Light

Martin had never really appreciated the rainbow of colours different times of the day could have on skin until he had a darker lover. Blues and purples dance in the moonlight, followed by hours at an easel trying to mix the paints just right.

Shade

"I burn easy. Even easier now," the faerie mutters from beneath the parasol. He however will force Malcolm out to get some sun. It's good for him.

Pool

Large bodies of water frighten him, but if Martin gets in, he can too. He feels safe, knows he won't drown, knows Martin won't shove him down until he passes out. So he can get in, can also enjoy the sight of his lover's body, which seems like his reward.

Leaves

"No way. No. No. You're kidding."

Cronch cronch.

"Delicious."

He really just ate a leaf. Was he taking a joke too far? He won't tell.

Sweet

Strawberries taste much better stolen from his lover's lips.

Color

"So, are all faeries as colourful as you?"

"My brothers are, yes, but we come in all shades and palettes, really."

Malcolm finds he likes a little more blue in his life.

Phone

"Do I really need this?"

"Yes. I need to be able to reach you if I need to."

He didn't expect the addiction to bejeweled, and maybe he regrets getting his love a smartphone.

Race

"Okay so you're a faerie. But you have a brother who's an elf?"

"Half-elf. He has a tail and pointier ears and no wings, and he's a lot more muscled than me or our youngest brother, but he's also a lot more colourful than most elves and his skin takes tattoo ink very well."

"So is this a distinction in species or…?"

"No, it's more like how you humans are all different colours."

"But it's more dramatic than that?"

"A little. But thinking about it now I think it's a lot of political nonsense."

Stroll

Walking in the forest beneath a full moon, he can see the ethereal beauties of his lover.

Film

"Okay so you call picture-shows what now?"

"It depends on the length."

Human technology is so confusing sometimes, but definitely worth it to watch "Great British Bake-Off."

Bottle

"Is that the green fairy I spy? My dear boy I didn't know you had a thing for absinthe..."

"Not really. I just like the colour of the glass."

There are more valuable liquids to fill it with anyway.

Art

It unites them, in its way. Though they may not share a common medium, they're happy to create in a shared space.

Cork

"Much nicer than rocks," he murmurs offhandedly. Malcolm has no idea if he's serious. It's one of the things he loves the most.

Grasp

"I have you. I promise. I have you." He clings to his lover and bawls, finally safe enough to feel the anguish before he loses his mind.

Space

"Do you believe in aliens, or is that just a human thing?"

"It would be silly if anyone looked up there and didn't wonder if we're really all alone. Though interpretations differ."

"So just like humans yet again."

"You say that like it's surprising, my love."

My love.

To think the first time he said that would be looking up from the roof of the precinct during a five minute break.

Dream

His sleep looks more peaceful now. Good. Martin idly wonders if he comforts Esmer in there too.

Scare

When he sees him standing over… something, covered in blood, face snarling and… fangy, Malcolm can't help the adrenaline that shoots through his veins.

Mask

"I'm Fine."

Martin knows what it really means.

Thrice

Three is the number of times he makes Astr come, minimum, before he'll let himself.

Adventure

"Don't drink the wine, or you'll be stuck forever."

"Promise?"

Risk

He knows Martin is dangerous. An apex predator, and he might as well be a fluffy little lamb.

Security

Malcolm's arms are the safest place he's ever known. Strong enough to help him lift the world from his shoulders, but soft enough to absorb his tears.

Hold

With the gentlest touch, Martin realizes, he's more powerful than anyone in Esmer's life.

Lie

"I'm fine."

Malcolm doesn't let the hurt show. He knows he has to let him grieve. At least for a while.

Chill

"It's so cold…"

The Romani boy is burning up, and Martin knows that this isn't just a cold.

Plant

"I think it'll help. Give you something to love while you recover."

Astr's never loved a succulent so much.

Door

When Esmer brings home the sonogram, they don't even make it all the way into the bedroom. Martin's so much stronger than he looks, and a doorway is sturdy.

Boat

Esmer talks in his sleep. When it isn't about a red room, he whimpers about the rocking.

Pet

"Hello my love, how are we today?"

Malcolm never says "Disney Princess" out loud, but he always thinks it when he sees him interact with Sunshine.

Embrace

To look at Malcolm, you wouldn't think he would give such incredible hugs. It's Astr's best kept secret.

Run

It's thrilling to play predator and prey, to see how fast his lover can go, and the sweet sensation of catching him, making love on the ground, knowing how fully he possesses him.

Rest

"Sleep. I'm here. I'll stay here. You can't hurt me."

Malcolm eventually learns to trust that promise. Sometimes he gets 5 hours a night.

Break

It hurts it hurts it hurts!!

Nothing has ever hurt more than his heart at this moment. To see his lover, the man he trusted his whole self to, whispering sweet nothings into some woman's ear. Taking her back to their home.

He knew he would never be enough. But he didn't realize how painful that could be.

Check

They argue over who pays for dinner more than most couples. But when you're both that rich, and that dependent on being a caregiver, that's only natural.

Song

He may not understand the words, but Martin knows the grief. He wonders what died, and has no idea it's Esmer's heart.

Night

It takes all night, but he has his Esmer back. His beautiful boy won't ever have to feel insecure again.

Severus took the last drop of coffee and threw the empty paper cup into the dustbin before stepping out of the convenience store, an old-fashioned one which had an attached bell that tinkled when he pushed the door open. He glanced at the night sky above; white snowflakes had begun to fall down again. A blanket of fresh-fallen snow laying on the ground crunched under his leather boots as he walked, his breath steamed the air. Severus hunched his shoulders a little forward, then wrapped his coat more tightly around his body and thrust his hands deeper into his pockets. The exposed skin on his face itched, stinging as if it had been touched with lit cigarettes.

He cast an eye over the small town. A fresh-cut, evergreen pine tree decorated with spectacular ornaments, ribbon and angel figurines stool still in the centre of the living room, colourful gifts piled up under it, several feets away from the wood-burning fireplace. Its subtle, cedar fragance wafted through the open window, combined with the smell of roast turkey and mashed potatoes. The air outside resounded with delightful music, classic songs and children’s laughter.

Here we go again, the Christmas spirit.

The tall, good-looking man was standing on the pavement at the crossroads, leaning against the light pole with his arms crossed over his chest. He tapped his right foot repeatedly, eyes darting back and forth to the watch on his wrist. Why can’t it tick any faster? His face was all scrunched up in impatience and annoyance/frustration, he quickly thread his slender fingers through his fluffy hair, which had been blown in a gust of wind.

A sudden grip on the black-haired man’s coat from behind startled him.

“Hello, gorgeous.” A stuffy voice came from a very short distance, so close that Severus could sense the cold breaths against the nape of his neck and the smooth glide of soft lips over the bare skin just above his collar as the shorter man pulled him into a warm embrace. “May I ask whether you beautiful boy have been taken or not?”

The corners of Severus’ dark eyes crinkled and a chortle escaped himself. His cheeks, which had already turened rosy because of the coldness, now reddened with embarrassement. “Too bad, I’m afraid. You seem like a nice guy, but at the moment I’m in a committed relationship.” He paused for a while. “And my heart has been attached to that very person since forever.”

“Oh, what a pity!” Lockhart said in a playful tone, instantly held both his arms up in the air and clenched into fists, shaking them in a gesture of exaggeration, but then clinged onto Severus again, pressing his chest against his beloved’s back.

The blond-haired man held onto his partner firmly, swaying side to side as he did so. The radio station had started to play Dean Martin’s Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!, he found himself humming and finally singing out loud along to it.

But if you really hold me tight, all the way home I’ll be warm.

“You have a really, really sexy voice.” He remarked. “But babe, people are staring at us.”

“Don’t worry, love.” Lockhart said tenderly, not loosening his grip. “They’re just jealous.”

A long time passed by, and they spread out from each other so that were a few steps apart. Severus turned around to face Lockhart, whose half of the body had been spotlighted by the incredibly golden light from the bar, silhouetted against the winter sky. A lovely grin spread across Lockhart’s reddish face, his blue eyes glittering brilliantly behind his glasses.

The taller man couldn’t help running his fingers through the cloudy hair of his beloved, who suddenly felt his nose tickling and started sneezing non-stop. Severus furrowed his brow as he watched Lockhart’s legs wobbling uncontrollably, his teeth chattering, and his hands rubbed vigorously together in an attempt to keep them warm. The piercing wind sent shivers down his spine, in consequence, he shrank back so tremulously that Severus thought he could scrunch down into a small ball at any moment. That image was so adorable that it reminded him of a shaking rabbit which he’d seen in some Tiktok videos.

Severus took off and held out his long black coat to Lockhart, his face glowing red at his thoughts. “Here, take my coat.” The black-haired man said, his voice as soft as cotton.

Lockhart, who had been burying his head entirely in his cupped hands and exhaling warm air on them to heat himself up, looked up at him with a dazed expression. He then gave a low purr like a kitten in response, sending out waves of calmness, and for a split second, he almost took it but abruptly had a change of heart.

“Thank you, darling, but no, you keep it.” He snorted, trying but failed miserably to hide his adenoidal croak. “I don’t want to carry a frozen teddy bear home.” He laughed through heavy breaths.

“Well, it appears that you are the one who is about to freeze to death, bunny.” He retorted, nodding his head towards the garment. “Please, I insist.” His voice dropped to a husky whisper.

After a brief hesitation, the man grasped the black coat and put it on, eyes sparkling. The warmth embraced his entire body little by little, touching his heart. Lockhart inhaled deeply, the sweet and pleasant scent of Severus’ perfume still lingered on his worn clothing, ensnaring his senses.

“It looks good on you.” He commented.

“Everything looks good on me, darling.” Lockhart blinked, then burst into laughter when his boyfriend pursed/curled up his lips mockingly. “By the way, what did you just call me?” He simpered, nudge nudge, wink wink.

“Nothing.” He turned his head away to avoid his partner’s teasing gaze, blushing furiously.

“Oh dear, you’re so funny.” The blond man cracked up. His enchanting baby-blue eyes were always gentle. They looked at him with a softness that he’d never encountered before. “Frankly, flustering Severus drives me crazy.”

The teasing statement had the black-haired man blushing even more deeply, so he let out a quiet little cough to calm himself down, hoping desperately to redeem his self-confidence by steering the conversation in a different direction.

“Why did it take you so long, darling?” He asked, frowning slightly. “What did you buy?”

A furtive, mysterious smirk crept across Lockhart’s face, followed by a stretch of silence between them, as if he was hiding a secret.

“What?” He urged, eyebrows pulled down togther. Severus must admit, his lover’s expression had succesfully triggered his curiosity. “Come on, tell me.”

Without a word, he dug his fingers into the layers of his clothes to take something out, holding it tightly in his hand. The blond man scrunched up his eyes and grinned affectionately while his fist slowly opened, revealing a magnificiant, glistering necklace which had a shining gold wedding brand worn on the splendid trace chain made out of the same material. When lustrous rays of light lingered on, its surface immediately bounced back up and twinkled perfectly, giving it an instantaneous shine. Severus leaned forward in order to take a closer look, staring with his mouth open wide in amazement when Lockhart pointed out his name having been engraved on the inside of the ring pendant.

“Here, let me help you.” The shorter man stood on tiptoes, attempting to put/place the necklace around the black-dressed man’s neck. Afterwards, he dug his hand into his pocket one more time and pulled out another piece of jewellery. He painted a ray of sunshine all over his face, and Severus’s genuine smile had extended into a joyful laugh as he realised: They were exactly the same.

“Merry Christmas, sweetheart.” Lockhart murmured, pressing his forehead against his boyfriend’s. “I love you.”

“I know, my dear.” He responded, the warm light softened his features. “I wish we were standing under mistletoe so I could kiss you more properly.”

“Well, I guess that doesn’t need a reason.” As the blond man inched forward to wrap his arms around his waist, locking eyes with him with an invisible yet tremendous power over his feelings, Severus’ heart doubled its pace, his knees got weaker than ever. Tension cracked in the air, Severus parted his lips, feeling Lockhart’s soft, soothing tongue thrusted into his wet, half-open mouth with an eager moan, sending a rush of blood to his head. For a second, his sensitive soul was totally invaded, his senses were numbed with tons of emotions. A wave of warmth and comfort swept over their whole bodies, and soon the avidity of Severus surprised his partner as he’d figured out a perfect way to draw Lockhart deeper, rubbing, stroking, sucking at his sweet tongue while his nails dug into the smooth skin on the back of his neck, leaving him out of breath.

They detached from each other after a long, passionate kiss, both filled with satisfaction and relish, now trying to gasp for air. Lockhart reached out to clasp his lover’s hand, bringing them closer together.

“I’ll get you a cup of coffee on the way back home, sweet.”

“I already had one.”

“Without me!?” He gaped dramatically at the black-haired man, sounding devastatingly hurt. “How dare you!”

“How can’t you blame me?” He shrugged off. “I’d waited for you for almost three hours.” His voice abruptly dropped down low. “I thought you’d eventually decided to leave me.”

“Never, sweetie.” He squeezed his hand harder in reassurance. “Never.”

Dim streetlights cast a blurry shadow of the couple as they walked along the main street, hand in hand, under the mantle of darkness.

Of all the San Diego wedding DJs calling America’s finest city home, Karla & Brandon chose me to DJ and MC their Bali Hai wedding (South Pacific Room) on June 15, 2019. The following write-up is based on San Diego DJ Staci’s crazy organized & detailed outline for this Bali Hai Restaurant wedding.

Brandon suddenly said those three little words…Karla was overjoyed & she said them back.”

Karla met this bridesmaid when they both attended SDSU…and Karla still can & decide whether she is more beautiful on the inside or the outside. Give it up for Groomsman/Padrino Will & Bridesmaid/Dama Gaby!!!”

2. Danger Zone – Kenny Loggins ➔ “Brandon met this groomsman at Navy boot camp in 2013. He is known on the golf course as & Shank-Opotamus & and has yet to beat Brandon in a single round. Karla met this bridesmaid during their first year of high school. They were later roommates in college. Aztecs for life! She would still be in California if Joe had not stolen her away! Show some love to Groomsman/Padrino Alex & Bridesmaid/Dama Laura!!!”

3. Walking on sunshine – Katrina & The Waves ➔ “This groomsman met Brandon during his first year in the Navy. They were roommates together for two years in Washington D.C. Brandon has never beaten him on the golf course. Several years ago, this bridesmaid was looking for a roommate on Craigslist–yep–and found her soul twin, Karla. Please welcome Groomsman/Padrino Zach & Bridesmaid/Dama Ny-Vee!!!”
