hi! whats your writing process like? do you have a rough outline for where you want the plot to go or do you just wing it every chapter?

hi babes i'm dying because i can't tell if you're calling me out or not HAHAHA

okay let's give this a crack!!!!!! before i start the fic i outline. BUT when i say outline. i mean maybe three sentences per chapter, but not actual sentences, more just musings. and also some random words? (examples from THH sequel: 'reggie is like :O' 'bathroom hook ups' 'stilted' lmao) and then i just absolutely wing it from there. i am a write as you go kinda gal and the more i try to plan the longer it takes and the harder it is. it makes no sense. one THH chapter i outlined in detail and then when i tried to write it my brain was like 'well you've already done it and your imagination fills in the gaps so why the HELL would be bother actually writing it????' and it was the worst because i would just sit and stare and i've never attempted to outline properly again out of FEAR.

my preferred approach is just typing a section all bish bash bosh no spelling no grammar no groove and then going back and refining and refining and refining

and i'd say 50% of the plot makes itself up en route !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know people have pointed this out before, but my favorite part about Spy x Family is the introduction of Twilight, masterful spy, best man on the force, intelligent, resourceful, never fails a mission, and then we get to enter the mind of this incredible man and half his thought process is just "whats that the plan is going slightly to the left of what I expected? time to Panic" and I think that's beautiful Twilight said "I'll solve this problem and it'll be fine I just have to have anxiety about it first"
