yeah, its pretty obvious that kpop groups do get super prepared and photoshopped to hell in promotional pictures. thats why when you look up their photos from like, award shows or other live events like that, sometimes they may look a lil different. like again, i mentioned snsd, their legs look super skinny in promotional material and videos, but in photos of live events, some girls legs for example look bigger. theyre still thin ofc, just not stick thin.

and like you mentioned, jpop idols arent expected to be perfect or have a flawless look. many times, part of the appeal of a japanese idol is watching her grow and get better and more profesional, which i think its one of the reasons kpop is ages more popular than jpop; many times ive heard o read people say how impressed they are with the complex choreographies of korean groups, something that jpop idols rarely perform. kpop idols debut when they already have achieved some good "performance level" for a lack of better terms.

you know, i dont think every idol company does this, but i always though it was super cool how helloproject actually forbid their idols from having plastic surgery. thats why many of them look so different from another, and i think its awesome theyre not pressured to change their appearances to fit some modernr beauty standard. also apparently they cannot wear braces, i think its because it can affect your singing ability, though it may just be an aesthetic thing, and those inside braces can actually damage your tongue which is not what a singer would want. like you know how airi suzuki has a tooth thats a little behind the others and she has never "fixed" it? i just mention this because i have that literal exact same tooth in the same place. in fact, we have the same smile, which i think is sorta cool.

oh, and i never could get into akb48. i dont know why, they just never caught my eye. the only songs i tried to listen to were heavy rotation and koisuru fortune cookie since theyre so popular and i just wasnt a fan (also wtf with the heavy rotation MV?).

i also cant find those stray kids attractive. same goes for bts. and yeah, i also though they looked like AI xD. i just thought it was a little mean to say. and i never got why bts got so popular, though to be fair the only songs ive ever heard from the were those english ones like dynamite and butter (i think that what its called). theyre just... not that amazing what can i say,..

i liked berryz koubou. they always stood out when you watched them due to having such an interesting assortment of girls: you had two big girls with risako and maasa, the super tall yurina, the very short momoko and captain, chinami who was very skinny and had a darker complexion than the rest, and you also had risako constantly changing her hair color and miyabi dying her hair blonde or orange and wearing light color lenses. i always though goofy berryz (like in yuke yuke monkey dance) or serious berryz (like jiriri kiteru or ai wa itsumo kimi no naka ni) were the best berryz. it was so weird when they tried to shove them into sexy roles like in want! or ai no dangan, the girls look so awkward. and you cannot expect me to find momoko sexy when in concerts she would perform those sexy songs with those wretched pigtails of her...

I think that's something you addressed in your ealier posts, but I lowkey disagree with the fact that ugly people are fated to remain the 'ugly one' in the band even after ps because there are legit extremely good surgeons doing wonders. You can make drastic changes to a face and still have compelling results

Japan is indeed less heavy with plastic surgery but idols, even underage, undergo plastic surgery xD they are just more lowkey and hypocrite about imo (that's the only redeeming thing with the Kpop industry imo ; they're pretty straightforward in their heavy course of beautification so people don't get gaslighted in thinking those people were born like this)

Look at Sayumi Michishige and Reina Tanaka who respectively got their eyelid and eyelid+nose done

That being said, while it's true that those imperfections will fly because idolship is all about seeing little girls grow into womanhood, it's pretty significant to see how quick former idols switch into conventional beauty after graduating. Japan is extremely ageist with women, and things young girls have been elevated for, will be helf against them past a certain age.

There's something dread9ful with the Heavy Rotation MV.... "Mystery Night" (by Angerme (formerly S/Mileage)) lyrics are pretty awful too. All of them were underage, singing about hitting up with a rando during a party...

Koisuru Fortune Cookie was AKB48 peak. I never got into their music but the MV was great - it's pretty rare to have idol MV with that much work done (I think Heavy Rotation MV, as disgusting it was, very polished - isn't its artistic director the same woman who directed Helter Skelter?)

Berryz Kobo went off out of nowhere for "Ai wa Itsumo Kimi no Naka ni" lol I like when idols do assertive songs. That's why I also loved "Otome no Gyakushuu" by Angerme ("Counterattack of the maiden"). But imo nothing will ever top the aesthetic of Momoiro Clover Z for "Birth Ø Birth" - absolutely iconic

some thoughts on what living with bakugou would be like:

-he’s weirdly organized. like he remembers where he put everything every time so if ur ever looking for something, most times he’ll just find it for u and it takes like .2 seconds

-will cook meals a large majority of the time, but if u bake sweets he’s an absolue sucker for them.

-if you’re like reALLY allergic to a certain type of bug or plant,, man’s got his eyes pEELED whenever y’all go somewhere together. like lets say, for example, ur allergic to bees. bakugou is blowing bees up left and right and u look at him and ur “no!! stop!!! bees are endangered!!” ,, he looks u dead in the face, like ur stupid or something and says “yeah. because of me. i’m gonna kill all of them.”

- if u have to get in an argument with somebody over the phone, he wants to hear it. like he’ll ask u to put the phone on speaker and he’ll just make mocking, bitchy faces while the other person is speaking. like,, he lets u fight ur own battles, but he wants to be there bullying the other person mercilessly in the background.

-if he doesnt like a song ur playing, he’ll just skip it. won’t ask, wont look at u, he’ll just skip it. borderline dick move tbh

-gets grumpy if u don’t follow his nightly routine on time, but also wont go to sleep without u. like he’ll just stay up and crab at u until u go to bed with him

-likes when u brush his hair for him. like u’ll be brushing yours, totally by urself fine, and he’ll just look at u and clear his throat until u roll ur eyes and beckon him over

-if u get like a bag of junk food or something,, do nOt leave that shit out, bakugou will finish it 10/10 times. he’ll finish it but then look at u and “why the fuck would u even bring that shit in here, huh? u tryin’ to get me out of shape or somethin?” ,, and u look at him like “idk man maybe just dont eat it then.” ,,, the glARE he gives u in response is muRDEROUS //pls this is quite literally the only area he lacks self control dont remind him\\

-has absolutely no regard for neighbors. he yells a lot and if y’all get noise complaints he just glares and 😡💥at the neighbor until they get scared and leave

-he thinks it’s funny to just subtly move things from time to time. like, for example, lets say plates. ,,, so like, u always keep plates on the left side of a certain cabinet, right?? but if he’s putting dishes away and feeling particularly petulant that day, he’ll just put away the plates on the right side instead. man’s then proceeds to smirk and laugh at u every time u open the wrong side of the cabinent from then on with a “jeez, u rlly are a moron, huh? they’re on the right side, remember?” god he’s annoying

-genuinely enjoys going grocery shopping by himself. like idk he just thinks it’s his quiet, personal time, u kno?? and he enjoys doing super-intense meal prep for the week anyways so he’s gotta make sure he gets the right ingredients

-u just hear muffled screaming from time to time. like u’ll be in the kitchen eating breakfast totally calm, and he’s making the bed and all the sudden just a “jesus fucking christ, swear to fuck im gonna blow up this stupid fuckin’ fitted sheet!” (which honestly??? valid. fuck fitted sheets.)

-if he doesn’t want to hang out with the bakusquad but they’re forcing him he’ll text u something like “I love you.” and then ofc ur like “i love u too. but also, u never just say that to me normally?? is something wrong?” and then total radio silence from him for like 20 mins and u get super worried,, and then he just sends u a video of mina or denki being loud with a “Can you get sick or something? I want to come home.” ,, i- 🧍

- isnt going to want a pet,, but if u have, like, a dog already when u move in with him, then it’s going to become bakugou’s dog. if he’s going to have to have a dog than he’s gonna make sure it likes him more than u

-hates doing laundry. will volunteer to do dishes instead 11/10 times

-he doesn’t sing in the shower but 100% plays the drums on the walls or his own stomach fight me on this

-he hates the smell of nail polish/nail polish remover. so if ur painting ur nails he’ll just walk in the room and walk directly out,, quickest way to get alone time

-speaking of alone time- say bye. u’ll get none of it,,, it’s not that he’s constantly on top of u or like talking to u, he just always sorta ends up in whatever room u are. like a cat, pretty much. like he won’t say anything, but if u get up to do something, he gets up and chooses to move his lounging to somewhere nearby

-he likes to scare the shit out of u. just like, rlly juvenile stuff like hiding around corners just to jump out at u. will just stand there and laugh when u scream, and will never, never apologize

-he gets weirdly worked up about hair?? just hates it, thinks it’s disgusting if he sees a stray hair anywhere. even if its his own. like yes it’s gross ig, but he gets so 🤮 about it

-he does house chores unecessarily loudly. like, u watch him and it seems like he’s doing everything totally normally,, but jesus christ why is it so loud

-gets bitchy around christmas if u decorate without him. he will complain the eNTIRE time if he does have to decorate, but will throw an even bigger fit if u dare to do it without him

-he gets mad if people drive too fast in ur neighborhood/ past ur apartment complex. like, y’all have 0 (zero!) kids, but he’s still up at the window like “Slow the fuck down, asshole! Why the hell doesn’t anyone have any common fuckin’ sense around here? That’s dangerous, you piece of shit!”

Buckle in folks cause I’m about to put more effort into this than an english assignment Presenting Why Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous is actually an amazing show

Now what defines the term amazing you might ask? I’m talking about a show that goes above and beyond in plot, characters, storytelling, and overall experience. Nowadays most adult shows don’t meet my standards much less a kids show so if that gives you an idea how good this show is stop right now and go watch it if you haven’t. Spoilers ahead ofc but as an aspiring film major I will be diving into just about everything I love and this is gonna get long. 

For your convince I will start with a simple bullet point list and then extend on them below, so if you only wanna see the big points and not my thoughts behind them this first parts for you. 

Black mc 

Diverse main cast (4/6 are poc) 

Actual plot lines and a lot of suspense 

Very dark for a kids show 

Complex characters that develop 

Fits in with the main Jurassic World series beautifully 

Body language and facial expressions are top tier 

Have genuine relationships (platonically and/or romantically) between all of the main 6

Phenomenal camera angles and use of special effects 

Great with details 

Amazing VA’s 

Continuity 

So the nose dives begins 

Black mc: To some people this might not matter that much but holy cow this is so important and such a big step. The people complaining are just weird middle aged white people, like do you know how big of an impact a black mc can have on young black children. It’s so important and it makes them feel happy because someone actually looks like them. Clear evidence of this was Into The Spider Verse (which is also an amazing movie oml). Come to think of it the only black mc I think I’ve ever seen in an animated kids show is probably Static Shock (also an amazing show ily). Somehow representation has got swept under the rug in this day and age which is ironic really, but this show does an amazing job with tackling that and I love it. 

Diverse main cast: I can’t think of any recent kids movies/tv shows, live action or animated, that have this much representation. In animation is also very easy for the show runners to make a character poc and then have a white VA, but jwcc is quite the opposite. Honestly the characters look so much like their VA’s that something tells me the animation team based the characters off them and not the other way around. Not only that but their names actually match with their ethnicities. So for reference or just anyone that doesn’t know, Ben and Brooklynn are white, Sammy is hispanic, Darius is black, Kenji is asian, and Yazmina is middle eastern. Sammy’s last name is Gutierrez, Yazmina’s is Fadoula, Kenji’s is Kon and Darius’s Bowman. Gutierrez is a common last name in Mexico and Latin America in general. Fadoula is found throughout upper Africa and the Middle East, Kon is rare name of Japense origin, and Bowman is a common last name among black folks in the US. So not only do they have a poc cast, voiced by poc people, but all the characters have realistic names. Not to mention they are very good on skin tone in the show, personally I think Yaz should’ve been just a bit darker but hey I’ll take it and run. 

Actual plot lines: This seem like stating the obvious but work with me here. Most kids and even adult shows have a very episodic format, there’s nothing wrong with that per say but having a plot and conflict build up and having little things matter is much more satisfying in my opinion. Most kids shows have some conflict but its very PG which is also fine that’s what it’s meant for. But every once in a while you’ll find a show that had plot wise beyond it’s years and those are the golden ones. Easily and rightfully the most famous is Avatar the Last Airbender or ATLA. This show to this day is still one my favorites and truly nothing will ever top it, but in my years of watching kids shows after it jwcc might just be second. We can argue all day about what’s the best and it’s truly a matter of opinion, but to me atla and jwcc just achieve such a level of complexity that 99% of kids and even adult shows don’t reach. 

Very dark: While this might not be exactly the best for kids it’s great for an olderish audience. Honestly it having a much darker element makes the show enjoyable for all ages while still keeping it chill enough so that children may watch. But come to think of it it’s hard not to make a show about dinosaurs dark, the show runners do a wonderful job at keeping it intense and exciting, but still kid friendly, and to me thats incredibly impressive. Not to mention since the show isn’t afraid to go dark they can do more (such as ben’s “death”, the hunters etc) which makes it go from good to great. Reminds me a lot of atla and I know I keep mentioning atla but know that is the biggest compliment ever. atla is easily the best animated/kids show of all time so the fact that a bring it up so much is huge. There have been shows in the past that have tried to replicate what atla (such as voltron..) and it just hasn’t worked. I think this show nails the boundary between too dark and not dark enough. 

Complex characters: Oh yes. If there’s one thing I love more than an ensemble cast it’s a cast that grows and develops as the series progresses. Sure the main 6 might start off as typical character tropes (Darius the super fan, Yaz the loner, Sammy the extrovert, Ben the underdog, Kenji the arrogant, and Brooklynn the influencer.) but they become so much more than that. I’d say at least half of them are completely different people between the 1st episode and the latest one. An easy example being Ben and Kenji. Ben started off as a naive, timid, and terrified person and has become confident, independent, and brave. Kenji started off as arrogant, selfish, and apathetic person and became compassionate, driven, and concerned. All of them have had some sort of change even if it’s not super dramatic and that’s important. It makes the storytelling better because they grow as they go. 

Fits in with JP/JW beautifully: In terms of shows connecting to movies this has gotta be some clone wars level s-tier stuff. Personally I have never watched clone wars but my sister has and she always raves about how well this show connects to the movies, and from what I’ve seen I completely agree. A youtube channel by the name of Silverscreen Edits actually put together the scenes from every time they overlap, mainly in S1 but also the cold open from Fallen Kingdom. I’d advise you to watch it because it’s just incredible. The show runners nail ever detail of these scenes and it truly feels like you’re watching the same scene from a different perspective. The set up is beautiful and I cannot rave enough about how amazing it is, my favorite easily being the dome scene because of all the small details. Not to mention this show actually connect JW and FK because it shows us that the cold open was 6 months later while the rest was 3 years later. Quite honestly I had no idea these two scenes were that far apart from each other, I thought the opening was from a years or two later not 6 months, so this show really connected the dots between these two movies and made them flow together much nicer. And I love all the countless references too old and new JP/JW movies. Overall this show is a great addition to the franchise. 

Body language and facial expressions: You might be thinking to yourself, hmph that is a really odd point to make, let me tell you it’s not and I’ll explain why. When analyzing films I usually tend to stick to live action because one of my favorite parts of films is how characters react to things, and we animation we really don’t get that. Most of the time even if shows get this complex they won’t use both the way jwcc. What impressed me so much was how amazing they are at this, the animation team seriously needs more praise. Jwcc is great at facial expressions which I will say other animated shows know how to do as well, but they are also so amazing at body language which is rare rare when it comes to animation. It’s because it’s so hard and often times it just doesn’t fit, but they do an amazing job with this and it makes the characters feel so life-like. When a character is sad or closed off their shoulders hunch, when they feel scared they stiffen up and cover their ears (which is another detail I love so much, I never realized till this show that hardly anyone ever covers their ears and it makes a lot of sense because these dinos are very loud) and when they feel hopeless their shoulder sag and their head drops, do you see what I mean? You can quite literally tell what these kids are feeling and thinking without them saying anything that is so impressive and it makes the show that much better. It makes it easy to analyze and if it wasn’t clear around I love to do so. 

Genuine relationships between all of main cast: I will not budge at this point at all, gonna say it right now if you disagree argue with the wall. I might have some bias on this but one, if not my favorite, part of any media is an ensemble cast. It’s something I actively seek out, and when I say ensemble cast I don’t mean a trio, I mean a full cast, my favorite being 6 but 4 or 5 will do. So when I found out this show had 6 main characters I was immediately interested. Not only because I love ensemble casts but I also wanted to see how they handled it. Ensemble cast are so rare because they are extremely hard to do and do well. I will even criticize atla on this. At one point they had 6 main characters and they never elaborated on more than a handful of the duos and just focused on the group as whole. But this is typical and easiest to do without giving up individual character development so I get that. But jesus christ jwcc does a phenomenal job with this, and I mean phenomenal. Out of the 15 different duos you can get between 6 characters then have elaborated on 11 of them, and it could easily be more this is just from memory. I might make a post elaborating on this specifically because it’s just amazing. This time they take to flesh out these relationships truly makes them feel like a unit and a family, instead of just a group of people all working towards the same goal. This is easily the most impressive and rewarding of any of the points on this list in my opinion. (coming from #1 squad lover right here)

Camera angles and special effects: This shows downfall for some was that it had strange animation, honestly it never bothered me and since I’ve watched dragon prince and rwby, it’s clear that bad animation never stops me from watching a show. But I think people just won’t give it a chance, because when you do you’ll see it’s actually very good. To me the coolest part of the animation is the dinos. They look incredible and so so similar to the cgi used in JW. That’s hard to do so more claps for the animation team I love y’all. They also have to work around the PG side of this show and do a great job at implying what happens but never actually showing what happens. This is all angles, not to mention they do a great job at showcasing the park and the scenery so that magic from the movies really translates to the show. Finally my favorite scene of the show from an avid slow mo lover has got to me when Ben falls of the monorail (idk why it is cause he’s literally my fav and I was so upset) The scene is just beautiful and the set up before hand makes it that much more heart breaking. The use of slow mo is amazing I literally cannot rave about this scene enough. It builds so much suspense and they used just the right amount, to much and the scene would move to slow, and to little the scene would be to fast. I need more great scenes like this in S4 (idk if I want the angst that comes with it too I’ll get back to you)

Details: To me details, in any show in general, is what makes it go from great to fantastic. An example of this is Harry Potter, something that hooked me into this franchise was how much small details mattered and it’s the same with jwcc. There are so many throw away lines that end up coming back and all us are hitting ourselves for missing it. Such as Ben saying early on he knows where the tracker beam is and when he “dies” and the crew can’t find it it shows how important he was. Those are details I love to see. Or the three dinos, one of which Sammy released, coming back all season. Of course toro as well and he always kept his burns. Not to mention the animation team always kept Ben’s scar in and I think that’s an important detail because he shaped who he is. Keep up the good work animation and writing team because I love what you’re doing with this (also I’m 90% sure the compass is another one of these details I’m calling it rn) 

Amazing VA’s: Honestly VA’s in general do not get enough credit and they really should. But these 6 are pretty amazing let me tell you. If I’m not mistaken Ryan Potter (Kenji’s VA) is the only one with a notable history of voice acting as he played the title character in Big Hero 6. (fun fact I had no idea and when I found this out I quite literally screamed). But the others have also done things as well, most of it being live action though, and voice acting is much different. Honestly I just need to make a post about the various roles they’ve had cause looking into this has been an experience. Anyway all of them do such an incredible job with this ahh. I think the times where you can really tell how different they all are is when they lash out. This happens quite often and honestly it’s expected, I mean they’re 6 teenagers in a stressful environment of course they’ll last out. But all of them have such a different way of doing it, Darius is hopeless, Kenji is nervous, Yaz is emotional, Ben is harsh, Brooklynn is stern, and Sammy is level headed. Usually everyone lashes out the same way so the fact that they’re so different in just one aspect shows you how good they are. Each character is so individual and all of them have different goals and morals which is not only realistic but it makes way for conflict which is always interesting. 

Continuity: Now this could arguable go with details but it’s slightly different so I’m making this a separate point. Continuity to put it simple it basically not have the show be episodic. Honestly that completely what I expected from this show because that how most kids shows are. In this show the plot not only progress each episode but so do the characters and their trauma. Most of the time the plot will progress but anything bad that has happened to the characters will not show and is hardly talked about (COUGH VOLTRON). To me it’s something that has to be addressed because if the characters don’t grow what was the point of it. And they’ve shown that characters grow based on the events that happen and I love that. Another thing about continuity is when show runners stick a pin in something and actually go back to it (COUGH RWBY). Jwcc is amazing at this and make a point to bring back just about everything that gets sidelined in the first place. It’s so impressive and make the show that much more enjoyable. There have been countless times where I get so caught up with the pins that shows just leave there and it makes me so mad, but jwcc is good at for the most part because of course some things will slip through. But they always get back to the important things. 

The conclusion: Overall this show is phenomenal and if my essay hasn’t convinced you I’m not sure what will. The show is amazing at storytelling and plot and the lovable main cast makes it that much better. It is so much better than a good chunk of kids shows and honestly part of me wishes it was rated PG-13 cause I really wanna see that. But they do an amazing job and keep it kid friendly enough while still discussing mature topics. It’s the next atla to me and something that many kids shows now days try to be and fail. It’s impressive and complex and truly one of the best shows I’ve ever watched. Film major mara out, and if you actually read all of this ily mwah.

Athena and Ares

(Just my thoughts on them and their relationship)

I have a lot of feelings about these two. They have a very complex dynamic, where they don’t really like each other, but they can’t work without each other either.

Athena provides rationality to the cruelty of war. She is the strategy and logic behind it. The objective. One might say she represents the generals, and the politicians and the main heroes. Basically the big players.

And Ares? He’s the opposite. He represents the emotion associated with war. He is the bloodlust and the desperate fight. Where the battle is thickest, where there is no room for thought, and when its pure survival instinct that drives you, that’s Ares. He represents the worst parts: the blood and the violence and the cruelty. He is accompanied by fear and terror (Phobos and Deimos). One might say he is the god of soldiers.

So they need each other. If they actually worked together, they’d be one of the dangerous forces ever, even in god circles. But they don’t. Not only because of how differently they view the world, but also because of deeper nuances in their relationship.

Athena is beloved. She is Zeus’ favourite child and his right hand goddess. The people love her. She is the patron of one of the most powerful, influential cities, Athens. She is highly respected everywhere else too. A protector of heroes and a friend to humanity.

Ares, on the other hand, is disliked by many. Zeus says he is “the most hateful of all gods” and says he would have thrown him into Tartarus if he wasn’t his and Hera’s son. (Its in the Iliad) (This part always makes me sad poor ares) He is highly respected in Thrace and Sparta. But Athens dislikes him and worships him out of necessity only.

Even in modern times, Athena is considered a feminist icon and badass lady, while Ares is labelled a brute.

Most people know this. So why did I just type out all that? Cause context is important when delving into the myths.

So first of all, let’s debunk that last point I made. In the ancient myths (and I’ll try not to include romans esp. Ovid), it didn’t work that way at all. Of course it’s important to keep in mind that ancient Greece was very misogynistic. But still, Athena was not feminist at all. Her being a “masculine” woman (mostly) was what made her so acceptable to Athens and she was regularly used to shut down other women. Also:

(The actual translation of this scene was circulated a while back. So you’re probably familiar with this. Also I’m not saying this to offend any worshippers of Athena or anyone who admires her. There are a lot of bad things in greek mythology and Athena’s internal and external misogyny is probably the least of my concerns. Plus if the greek gods did exist, i believe they change with the society, so they will no longer be Like That in the present day.)

Ares, on the other hand, was incredibly feminist, especially for that time. He surrounded himself with women he loved and respected. (Aphrodite, Eris, Enyo, etc). His lovers were often famously women who challenged the status quo (Otrera, Cyrene). He was regularly show to be a good father to all his daughters, immortal and mortal. (Harmonia, Hippolyta, Penthesilia, Alkippe). Also:

Anyway, I won’t delve deep into that (well, any more than I’ve already rambled about it).

Now that we have gotten that out of the way, we can get to the hypotheticals.

I headcanon that despite ALL the evidence to the contrary, they maybe don’t despise each other completely. I see them having more of a love-hate relationship.

The thing is, gods are very contrary creatures. Zeus and Hera’s fights shake the world one moment, and in the next, they are as loving as any. Apollo is smiling and singing in one moment and skinning a satyr alive in the next. This complexity should be given this relationship too.

Like I said above, they need each other. Both general and soldier are equally important in war. And I don’t think you can completely truly need someone and hate their existence at the same time. (There are exceptions)

This scene in the Iliad really got me thinking:

If you take the scene at face value, this is probably not something to think too much about. Its Athena going to Ares, insulting him a bit, and taking him away from the war.

But its more than that. First off, Athena goes upto Ares and can calmly convince him to listen to her. Second, look how she frames the question. She says “shall we” which i think is pretty important. Athena doesn’t need to worry about Zeus’ anger or his rules, as she shows later on in the Iliad, and before, during the Rebellion. Both Athena and Ares knows this well. So why does she also need to withdraw? She can make the point without adding herself to the equation. She can also fairly easily run him off the battlefield like she does later. But she doesn’t. And there isnt any hostility from Ares.

Instead, they go together, away from the battlefield and...sit down near a river bank? Basically relax as much as they can? That doesn’t sound like a hateful relationship.

There is also the fact that Ares was going to join sides with the greeks (aka on Athena and Hera’s side) until Aphrodite convinced him to join her instead.

Its clear from this that Ares doesn’t really have much of a stake in this fight. He doesn’t care much about the greater objectives of the war. The only thing that can convince him to take a side is the people one the sides. He fights for the people he cares about, not for any greater good. He easily changes his loyalty because of his love for Aphrodite. He frequently gets into fights to save his children. He goes against Diomedes partly because of how he wounded Aphrodite. All of this means that he cares for Athena too. (And for Hera ofc). Maybe he doesn’t care for her as much as he cares for Aphrodite, but its not really fair to expect him to.

I like to think they genuinely do care for each other a great deal, they just kinda suck at showing it. Maybe that changes as time passes. I can see Athena being quietly protective of Ares (maybe she makes up an excuse to send him away during the Rebellion because she knows he will be in danger otherwise). I definitely think she felt a little guilt (guilt, not regret) at stabbing Ares, seeing as it wasn’t really fair. Ares didn’t know she was there.

I also think that Ares, who spends a lot of time with awesome women and is very fierce in standing up for them if the need arises, will be the one who calls her out a lot of the time on her misogyny or hypocrisy. Athena also has a habit of suppressing any “vulnerable” emotion. She likes to keep all her guilt, sadness, fear, hurt, and regret all locked up tight. I feel like Ares is one of the few people she lets a few of those emotions out around, even if she still tries not to. And in the lighter moments, in private, maybe they joke around a bit and laugh, too.

Okay, now for the heavier bit. While i do think they care for each other, there is also a lot of resentment there. A lot of it, unfortunately, comes from how they are treated by their peers and elders. They like different people, they are liked by different people and they are liked to different degrees. Let’s talk about 3 of the main players.

1) Zeus. Does this surprise you?

I do think Zeus loves all his kids. He doesn’t like some of them, but he does love all of them. And he isn’t as bad of a father as everyone thinks. People have discussed that better so I’ll not rant about it here.

All that aside, he definitely has favourites. Athena is his favourite child (Apollo, I think, being his second). And this favouritism is SUPER OBVIOUS. Its like none of the rules apply to Athena, which is weird considering Zeus isn’t forgiving of those who defy his authority (did someone say Prometheus?)

Ares, on the other hand, is on the other side of the spectrum. The one Zeus dislikes the most.

We can see how this affects them in several instances. The most notable is probably in the Iliad, after Athena deceitfully stabs Ares and forces him to flee to Olympus, injured.

Ares calls Zeus out on his favouritism. He says that gods weren’t allowed to fight each other and if it were anyone else, they would have been punished. He says Zeus always does this, always lets Athena get away with everything, and that he needs to start getting his daughter under control.

Zeus doesnt like this too much and basically tells Ares to stop whining and that he isn’t much better when it comes to destruction. He says Ares is the most hateful of all gods and loves bloodshed. He says he would have gotten rid of him if he weren’t his son, but seeing as he was, Zeus cannot bear to see Ares in pain. He then gets Ares healed.

I can definitely see how this kind of blatant favouritism from someone who should be better to Ares would affect him. Ares is the firstborn son of Zeus and Hera. He should be getting a lot of respect, as per ancient standards but instead, he is overtaken by his virgin half sister from Zeus’ previous marriage, and many bastard half siblings.

Athena being able to break rules left and right, and Ares having to be nervous about even toeing the line will cause distance between them.

This in addition to his position as a god of civil order is a reason that i think he wouldn’t want to break any rule until he deems it absolutely necessary, like if someone he cared about were in danger.

I can totally see a situation where both of them try to help a hero but Zeus orders them not to. Athena then wants to break the rules, but Ares is very hesitant about doing so. Athena convinces him, either by taunting or by calmly urging him, to go along with it. They get caught but only Ares gets punished. Ares can then truly show Athena the difference between her and everyone else.

Remember when i headcanoned earlier that Athena sends Ares away during the Rebellion? That ties into this. She knows that if they get caught, ares could get into trouble whether or not he did anything. I expect Ares will be furious about it when he returns and finds out what happened though, thinking it was just to get him out of the way, until its revealed why she did it. Then he’ll probably be super awkward.

2) Poseidon

The equal and opposite force to Zeus.

Well, maybe not equal, but quite close.

Lets start with the canon. Poseidon HATES Athena, despises her completely, and he frequently clashes with her father too. They worked together one (1) time and as a result, Athena wasnt punished while Poseidon was enslaved for years. Then there is the fight for Athens, the whole epic of the Odyssey, and so on.

Meanwhile he and Ares are actually shown to be close. Other than the Halirhothius incident, they are pretty chill. Poseidon is the one who vouched for him after the Net Thing With Hephaestus. Poseidon is also pretty cool with Aphrodite and they work together occasionally.

I think Poseidon thinks of Athena as this bratty kid of his brother, who is constantly working against him. You know that one annoying cousin you have who you try to avoid during family reunions because you KNOW you will clash? This is that, but a thousand times worse.

Meanwhile Poseidon really cares for Ares, and Ares takes fatherly affection from anywhere he can get it. Poseidon maintains a good relationship with both Aphrodite and Ares. He is closer with Aphrodite and doesnt love Ares quite as much as Zeus loves Athena, but he still cares a lot.

3) Aphrodite

It is no secret that Athena hates Aphrodite. Even when Athena warns Diomedes not to harm any god, she says Aphrodite is the exception. Athena, along with many of the other Olympians, see her as nothing but a silly, flighty, hysterical goddess.

On the other hand, Aphrodite and Ares are known for their intense love for each other, from even before her arranged marriage. They have a lot of kids together, and are shown to be close with all of them. They each have like one story of jealousy/one story where they are at odds with each other, which is pretty good for such a high-profile couple (Aphrodite curses Eos and Ares kills Adonis). They are there for each other, like in the trojan war, when Aphrodite was wounded and Ares gave her his chariot to go back to Olympus. He also changed sides very soon, just because Aphrodite asked. Athena complains about this too.

I think I wouldn’t be far off in saying that Athena is definitely resentful of how close they are, and how much sway Aphrodite has over her brother.

While Athena definitely doesn’t see eye to eye with Ares, and disagrees with his domain, she still sees him as a War God. One of her kind. And she just doesn’t see how a War God can go for someone like Aphrodite. Basically, she doesn’t think Aphrodite is, for lack of a better term, good enough for Ares, seeing as she is a Love Goddess.

Ares, on the other hand, does not want to hear anything like this. He is fiercely defensive of Aphrodite. He defends her warlike aspect (Aphrodite Areia), while everyone else tells her that she has no place in the battlefield. He sees Aphrodite as more than what people have labelled her to be. Which is why I believe (other than Eos and Adonis), they have one of the healthiest open relationships in greek mythology.

This can definitely cause animosity between Athena and Ares, because of Athena’s scorn and Ares’ temper. It can also increase the conflict between Athena and Aphrodite.

Maybe as time goes on, Athena can start seeing Aphrodite as having more depth. I certainly hope so. While they wouldn’t be best friends, I don’t see why they can’t learn to get along. This could also strengthen Athena and Ares’ bond. As long as people don’t insult her or lay their claim on her domain of Love and Beauty, Aphrodite is often very supportive. I truly think Aphrodite can help Athena overcome her misogyny, with Ares.

In conclusion, Athena and Ares have a very complex relationship. They do not simply hate each other, and neither do they have the most loving relationship. But they do care for each other. But strain can often be put on their relationship from their relationship to other people as well. Hopefully as time passes, they can overcome that, and have a healthier relationship, instead of sharing a good moment and then proceeding to fight each other for the next 500 years.

None of them officially joined until they were a bit older but probably trained to eventually join the Vexos; in the mean time they probably worked for Hydron or something like that

Volt recruited at 11; Lync a year later and Mylene following not long after (respectively 13, 8, 12 when they’re all gathered)

My reasoning to why Volt is patient with Lync’s antics and Mylene less so but doesn’t lash out as badly as you think she would around annoying little kids; grew up tgt moment

Spectra probably forced his way into the Vexos like “hiiii i see you dont have any Vexos members <3″ bcs obv he wasn’t using royal scientist dad privelages (i think, bcs Clay seems horrified abt Spectra being a Vexos and well, being Spectra) 

Shadow had an advantage of being a nobleman (in terms of him being accepted into the Vexos’ ranks)

the Vexos and their set of rules magent-ed on the fridge door or something and every time they go over a page they have to staple/tape a new page on

I like the Gus needs glasses hc (shoutout to @marmeladebois ‘s post on that) 

The hc of him being half human and Runo’s half brother is so good

While I like the idea of her being from a military family, I want to make her like Ling Wen (TGCF) in the sense she started from the bottom and climbed to the top... it fits her ambitious nature of grasping for more, she hasn’t reached what she considers the top just yet...

* she cannot stand still sometimes. she always has to be doing something extra, walking when the prime path is right there? shed rather go through tedious little holes or hop and balance onto fences to get where shes going. she’ll mindlessly fix up the path when there are holes or mismatched wood, and one time went on a long, long LONG journey cleaning up the paths tommy purposely DESTROYED near lmanburg and even added cobblestone sidings which werent there before

* puffys a bit of a sentimental person. writing in her log to clear her thoughts sometimes and cared enough to try and preserve lmanburg with the glass sheet and trying to find possible surviving artifacts of history to respect it, even though she’s never been a part of it. its also why, when doomsday happened and lmanburg got permanently poofed, she began to appreciate the buildings that are still standing and began taking more pics 

* she’s not used to being... what do you call it, um, cared for? she’d deflect compliments sometimes, when shes having a particular bad day, like, she’d laugh nervously and change the subject, sometimes she’d outright deny it, most days she’d jokingly say ‘staphhh it’ and add a very genuine thanks. my point being is, do something for puffy that is mildly nice and she’d keep that moment in her heart forever. 

* also funny story regarding the above. u know how karl is notorious for stealing her materials? and how puffy was contemplating doing something in retaliation for them? karl says hi for once when she joins the server and she goes ‘alright fine youre safe for saying hi’ LOL THIS WAS PROBABLY A BIT META WISE but something about this implying that the bare minimum or LESS is enough to make puffy forgive someone is very sad and funny at the same time for me. girl really said ‘oh you said hi to me? thats nice all the crimes youve ever done towards me is now forgiven. <3’ (this is a bit of an exaggeration on my part, ofc, i just think its funny LMAO) 

* ironically, despite being the ‘captain’, whenever riding a boat with someone, she prefers being on the backseat and letting them drive. ig shes just there for the ride i suppose, her and her uber drivers :3

* backstory. > many people know of yuanjun, but few people truly know him. he's the famous kong families’ son, heir to the kong legacy, now forward position for south korea men’s national hockey team - which brought forth a ton of international fame from back home and amongst hockey lovers worldwide. while his talent is undeniable, he is long overshadowed by his families’ accomplishments, forever reminded that he’d never be the perfect son they’d hoped for, and no one ever lets him forget it.

> being the child of business tycoons who’s art business seemed to never be on the decline, tended to lend itself to an unconventional, pretty lonely childhood. 

> although jun no longer wants to dabble in the stupid shit he probably did as a teen, and escape from their home in a childish fit of rage and make the lives of the various nannies that tended to him while his parents were off being great hell, he still wonders sometimes whether this profession is what he would’ve wanted if he’d just not wanted to spite his parents. he loves hockey - that fact is undeniable. he thanks the nanny who took him there once out of necessity to stop his whining, and he fell in love with it almost instantly. but he also questions whether he gravitated to it because it was something he could throw himself into wholeheartedly to fill a void.

> working in a fast, stressful, highly coveted job such as pro-sports is a full time job and then some; jun doesn't spend much time not working on it. outside of his schedule, he likes bettering his stamina at the gym and eating healthy. he likes being surrounded by authentic people or nobody at all. he’s not one for trying new things and having new experiences due to time management, tending to stick to a schedule.

> he gets a lot of bad press though, which is beginning to weigh a little heavy on him. doubly now the murder has people talking. from being accused of performance-enhancing pills, various personality scandals, to being linked with ‘dating’ (see: ruining the image of) idols and chaebol’s alike. right now, he’s currently battling a lot of unwanted publicity because of a misunderstood interaction online against a wealthy sweetheart that went sour. 

> while jun might be generally unsympathetic and analytical when it comes to developing relationships with people that’ll last long-term, he's a bleeding heart when it comes to kids who may have experienced the same lonely upbringing as he did, without the financial gains. right now he spends sunday’s teaching a bunch of local foster home kids how to skate, and is trying to fund a couple of sports scholarships for those who show promise under a fake name, just generally being a good ‘ole guy.

> his family do not approve of his job, ofc. in fact neither of his parents have ever attended any of his matches to this day, and are only on semi-decent terms with him because jun begrudgingly is still tied by name to the business and shows his face at events for all of 30 minutes until he physically can no longer maintain pleasantries. his celebrity image perhaps is one thing they can manipulate, and even then, jun could get into scandals galore and still be doing his job. good press, bad press, it has the kong’s family name at the forefront of peoples’ minds, which always brings forth revenue.  

> pros: could be a lot worse considering his upbringing, collected, and level-headed most of the time. wicked good at sports, and keeps a cool head in a tough situation. ambitious, curious, a little reckless. eager to prove himself, rich? and very endeared to people/places he finds fascinating. which are many. knows where the good, authentic chinese cuisine is. hardworking and very interested in the idea of Progress.

Kita - loves everything ESPECIALLY the song O My Heart. he listens to them constantly while he’s doing his chores. one day his headphones come unplugged while he’s listening to Little Pistol and everyone is Absolutely Terrified especially Atsumu and Ginjima

I was tagged by @not-a-natural-born-idjit and then flailed because they’re one of my absolute fave writers! (Seriously go to AO3 and read everything right now)

1. Castiel | Supernatural I know I flail a lot about Dean and I love Dean’s face but Castiel is my #1. He’s fierce and brave and impatient and selfless. I don’t know how a being that’s been around for millenia can be innocent but he is. I like how messy he is, and he can be such an effective antagonist without being the big bad. Any friction he has with The Winchesters is from disagreeing on the right course of action and as viewers we can decide who to side with because both are inherently good. It’s their decisions that cause problems and that is a much more compelling narrative than “this thing is just evil.” I ship him with Dean (duh) but also Sam occasionally and I’d honestly love to see some Cas/Rowena action.

2. Hannibal Lecter | NBC Hannibal/Hannibal-verse Long before NBC decided to grace us with the absolute masterpiece that is Hannibal, I have loved this character. I think I was 14 or 15 when I fell down the Thomas Harris rabbit hole and I’ve yet to find a more perfectly crafted psychopath. He’s so refined that you really can believe that no one would suspect him of being the Chesapeake Ripper. His crimes are heinous and many without feeling sensationalized. Harris was originally a crime reporter which I think gave him the ability to ground Hannibal in reality. I really liked how the TV show fleshed out the main points that in the books Clarice Starling and Will Graham continually have to remind people of which is that he does these things to amuse himself. It was really amazing to watch him set up the dominos and then stand back to let everyone else knock them all down. I ship him with Clarice or Alaina mainly but I LOVE me some murder!husbands. It’s the slowest of burns and I will bask in those flames forever.

3. Malcolm Bright | Prodigal Son First of all Tom Payne okay. Second of all, poor, sweet damaged Malcolm. I really like that he has that rich kid air about him but it’s super subtle. He’s obviously very damaged by his father (Martin Whitley is a good example of one of those over the top “legendary” killer characters, though Michael Sheen’s performance REALLY goes a long way to making that believable) and the show doesn’t make his mental illness the forefront of his character. Malcolm works and visits his family and occasionally dates very similarly to any other main character but he’s doing all these things with severe PTSD, anxiety and depression. He’s always portrayed as upbeat and determined to push through any handicaps his mental health issues might cause. There are also times when he can’t and those are shown not by concerned family and friends banding together to throw him in a treatment center but it’s usually him, white-knuckling through it or attempting to work it out on his own which is another extremely realistic portrayal of how people deal with trauma and depression. I ship him with OFC because he and Dani have ZERO chemistry (I’m sorry Brightwell people). I like the IDEA of him and Edrissa but no one is writing it and I can’t even really get MY head around how to write it so I feel this serious urge to PUT HIM WITH SOMEBODY but there’s not been anyone on the show I’ve seen him have real chemistry with yet. 

4. Tyrion Lannister | Game of Thrones I love Tyrion so much. I love him so much I named my cat after him. I loved him so much that I lived in CONSTANT. FEAR. that GRRM was going to kill him off at any moment. I like that despite everyone always thinking the worst of him he still does his best and not even with any intention of proving anyone wrong. He plays into their expectations with the booze and women but deep down he’s got a drive to be fair and especially kind to anyone who’s on the receiving end of pain and humiliation that are undeserved. He’s also fierce and clever enough to deliver crushing judgement and justice when deserved whether its through setting the wheels in motion or wielding the crossbow himself. I ship him with Sansa, shut up I know I just love the idea of them growing to love each other despite the rocky start.

5. Hermione Granger | Harry Potter HP was my first real brush with fandom. Like I’d been a Justin Timberlake fangirl since I was 12 and despite his level of fame the fandom was very small. When I started the series at 17 the breadth of content available was staggering. You could literally find ANY combination of ships you could fathom and it all ran the gamut from fluffy to downright depraved. I also find it interesting that while I like Hermione as a character in the books/movies she is far from my favorite character but she’s literally the only character I stan in the fanfic world of HP. I mainly shipped Hermione with Draco or Snape (forgive me I know it was a simpler time where we ignored everything problematic with certain kinks and narratives) and sometimes Harry. She’s such a strong female character that no matter who you pair her with the dynamic is going to be different and complex. 

6. Peeta Mellark | The Hunger Games While I relate to Katniss on a very personal level, the boy with the bread absolutely fuels my little fangirl heart. The pining from a young age. The complete disregard for his own safety or survival in the games. Selfless and just good to the core, his subsequent torture by the Capitol and Katniss’ carelessness with his feelings is like taking blow after blow. And when they strip his loyalty to Katniss and his district away it’s even more tragic because he was just this sweet kid who had a crush. UGH feels. I ship him with Katniss. I just really can’t see him with anyone else.

7. Alexander Hamilton | Hamilton THIS was one where i just identify SO. HARD. with Hamilton. While I definitely didn’t endure a childhood like his, I did end up transitioning from a blue collar upbringing to a white collar career and experience the same chip on my shoulder and drive to prove myself. And I too write like I am running out of time. I ship him with his wife or maybe Angelica a little.

8. Persephone | Greek Mythology Not sure if there’s a “fandom” for this persay but Tumblr went through a phase in the early 10s where there was a ton of meta about Persephone and how her narrative as a damsel stolen by Hades didn’t do her justice. The flipped the script and made her Queen of Hell, powerful enough to sway the God of Death and terrifying enough to keep him in line unlike all the other Gods that were sticking their dick in anyone and anything. It’s such an empowering narrative, a girl taken from everything she’s ever known seizes the opportunity to become a force to be reckoned with. I love it.

9. Gregory House | House M.D. I was going to say Sherlock here but I never really went hard for Sherlock either the movies or the BBC show. I loved the show but really more for the canon and meta which is only half the fandom life. With House, I just love that he is so unapologetically hateful to anyone he deems stupid. But he’s also earnest and good too with a heavy dollop of man pain... you know... my favorite *cough*Dean Winchester*cough* I ship him pretty exclusively with Cameron beacuse I really like the dynamic. Her hero worship/white knight complex his emotional constipation but fondness of her optimism and ideals. Great dynamic.

10. Edward Cullen | Twilight This is my favorite Trash Monkey character in my favorite trash monkey series. The books are horribly written, the movies are better but not by much. But goddammit something about his level of obsessive fuckery speaks to my girl lizard brain and I am just rooting for this sparkly idiot and his clumsy human jar of mayonnaise. I ship him and Bella because apparently the universe didn’t find the fact that he’s my favorite character in this series humiliating enough.

Hi, ty for asking! This is really hard to narrow down lol, but I tried.

In no particular order:

Guts/Griffith - Berserk

The current otp ofc. What can I say that I haven’t already said all over this blog?

Will/Hannibal - NBC Hannibal

This is my ideal ship. It’s stupid how perfect it is. It’s basically my ideal slowburn longfic but yk as a 3 season gorgeously shot and acted tv show.

Doctor/Master (especially Three/Delgado Master, and excluding het combinations lol) - Doctor Who

This ship is fantastic because it’s so versatile. You want childhood friends to lovers (to enemies)? Gallifrey era. You want bitter exes or frenemies with benefits? Three/Delgado. Five/Ainley was never my thing but if you want creepy villain/plucky hero there you go. You want former enemies who now live together in weird domestic bliss? Shalka. You want pathetic desperate protag willing to throw his ideals along with the rest of the world under a bus to get laid? Ten/Simm. It’s even got its own rairpairs, like cross era combinations or  Two/Warchief. This ship can run the gamut from fluff to angst to serious darkfic and never be ooc. It’s a delight.

Harry/Draco - Harry Potter

I mean I loved it when I was 14 and even though I couldn’t care less about Harry Potter now it’s still there for me. Like, if I want to read something gay and can’t find anything that strikes my fancy? I turn to drarry man, there’s so much genuinely fantastic novel length fic out there, you’ll never run out.

Xena/Gabrielle - Xena: Warrior Princess

Xena/Gab is an odd ship for me because they’re not really my type lol. Friends to lovers is something I’ve always been a little meh about, and while they have their tense and interesting and complex moments their appeal is mainly the soulmate thing. But this ship makes the list for two reasons: 1. they are immensely fun to watch together, like what they lack in an interesting dynamic they make up for in chemistry, and it’s a delight to watch the show and soak in all the ott subtext, and 2. Conqueror AUs. There’s a subgenre of Xena fic where Xena never turned good and met Gabrielle while she’s ruling the known world with an evil iron fist, and some of that has the good dynamics.

Fraser/Ray Vecchio - Due South

Honestly the main reason I ship them is because I love Ray and Ray loves Fraser, and Ray is one of those very rare faves that I actually want to be happy lol. But they do have a really interesting, and somewhat unique for me dynamic - Fraser prioritizes the abstract concept of duty over everything else, to really destructive lengths at times, while Ray prioritizes Fraser over everything else, also to really destructive lengths at times, and this leads to an unbalanced but v interesting relationship. Especially because like, this isn’t just a result of the show prioritizing Fraser lol, the narrative is very aware of this dynamic and explores it in interesting ways.

Eve/Villanelle - Killing Eve

I was into it from the start, and completely sold when Eve stabbed Villanelle. They’ve got the interesting shifting power dynamics, the disparate morals edging towards meeting in the middle, the violence, the chemistry, even the cute little domestic moments here and there. tbh I am a little.. nervous about where this show is going with them, because I am concerned they’re playing the Villanelle as a psychopath who can’t ~genuinely love~ thing straight, which could not be less interesting to me, but still, so far I’ve gotten more than enough material to keep me happy and hopeful.

D/Leon - Pet Shop of Horrors

In general they’re just a ridiculously fun dynamic, like come on. You’ve got the odd couple thing, you’ve got Leon switching between criminally investigating D and basically coparenting his brother with him, they all go on vacation together at one point, they have like, a dragon kid together, and who doesn’t love the married couple bickering? Also the ending [vague spoilers] is exactly the kind of sad romance I love. They both realize they’re in love, and D chooses to run the fuck away because he doesn’t know how to love a human, while Leon chooses to run the fuck after him for the rest of his life if that’s what it takes. This is technically subtext, but only barely.

Troy/Abed - Community

They had me at the Somewhere Out There duet. I stopped caring about the show after season 3 and I’ve only seen a few episodes since, but man when Community was good it was great and Troy and Abed were the mvps and clear otp of the show. Tragic that Harmon couldn’t commit beyond gay jokes tbh, but at least we’ll always have the romantic zombie episode.

Starsky/Hutch - Starsky and Hutch

This is a bit of a weird choice because I was never super into the fandom, like I haven’t read much fic, and I watched the show back in like my first year of university but not really since because like, it’s a 70s cop show lol, there’s not a whole lot that’s worth watching about it. But man, Starsky and Hutch are the damn kings of the extremely emotionally intense homoerotic friendship. Their off the charts chemistry and constant hurt/comfort plots were next level, and fully engaging and super fun to watch despite everything else.

(Also the 4th season is terrible, but shockingly good and ridiculously coherent if you watch it with the understanding that in between season 3+4 they had sex or made out or something and Starsky freaked out and Hutch is alternately depressed and pissed off at Starsky for his avoidance. Like that reading legit ties everything together lol, from their suddenly strained relationship to random jokes(?) like Hutch encouraging Starsky to try free word association, giving him the word “closet” to start, and Starsky getting mad about it for no reason. And in the 4th to last episode (production order) they clearly finally get together for real, in the coda to Starsky vs Hutch. I mean come on they fight while dating the same woman and then make up off screen and the final scene is the two of them meeting her in a bar and telling her she gets both together or neither, then walking away with their arms around each other when she turns them down.

i have sos oso much to say about it, (under the cut tho ofc) 

but like....tl;dr.....that was easily the best show i’ve ever watched, and one of the best narrative’s i’ve ever had the pleasure of witnessing 

oof ok so i’ll start small

the animation in general, ESPECIALLY the scenery was rly nice

god the theme like not the theme SONG (though that will get its own bullet point)but like??the theme of the show??? the mystery feel mixed with modern stuff, and still being REALLY DARK AND HAVING GENUINE HORROR whilst still managing to be a kids show is wild 

like!!! they didnt pull any punches!!! they didnt treat kids like dumbasses that would get the show!! it complex and intelligent and engaging!!!! 

ok so the THEME SONG ok GOD I LOVED IT BUT....turns out bc me and jester were using dailymotion well.....uhhh 90% of the gravity falls eps on there are sped up?? (like 1:25x speed) i NEVER NOTICED i jsut thought all the eps were around 18-19 mins??? turns out thery’re actually 22, so we’ve been watching at a slightly faster pace??? we watched ONE at a slower pace and i was like ‘WHAT’ but like!! that slower pace wasthe reAL SPEED NKHDFHNJHJF its...v strange tbh bc i’ll probably rewatch them on kimcarttons bc thats’ more reliable and all in the right palce but....idk i kinda prefer the slightly sped up version??? its enough that al lthe characters still seem rly natural they didnt...seem liek they were sped up but they WERE but it means the natural ones now seem slower to me nkjkdhjfkd, either way watch the theme song on 1.25x on youtube and you’ll see my experience its....rly good

Gabriel sat in the middle of a smokey bar. This was the last place that he needed to be and the company that he was in didn’t help either. He looked up at Kali as she cleared her throat.

“You said that you had questions for me?”

She said calmly. Her brown eyes were watching Gabriel carefully. It didn’t take a rocket scientist to know that she didn’t trust him. Gabriel didn’t blame her either! If the person that you had some kind of relationship with was really someone else trusting them would be a big issue.

“Yeah, you know about all of the craziness going on in my world. “

Kali took a sip of her martini,

“Understatement.”

When Gabriel didn’t smirk at her response Kali had her suspicions that something was wrong with the archangel confirmed. Gabriel only stared at her not blinking.

“Yes, Gabriel I know that there is a lot of craziness going on with your family. What I don’t understand is what that has to do with me?”  

Gabriel sat up straighter. In the day or so that he had been away from Molly he had found himself feeling on the edge again. The nightmares of what happened with the Kentucky Fried asshat was again right in the forefront of his brain.  Maybe all of the bull crap about soulmates was right after all. Maybe Molly was the key to making him forget all of his troubles. When she was around him everything was sunny again.

He rolled his eyes at how corny that thought sounded! Here he was, an archangel, dependent on some nephilim! That was funny! Gabriel knew he was making his past self out to be a hypocrite.  Before Molly, a standard partner was pointless!

Now here he sat, with his ex, and his mind was going fifty million directions! He knew that Kali was aware that something was different about him. When she tried to hug him, Gabriel shrugged away. He didn’t want her to touch him. The last thing he wanted was for anyone to touch him! If i was anyone other than Molly he would shrug away. Molly was that one exception!

“Gabriel?”

Kali’s voice pulled him out of his thoughts. He looked back at the goddess apologetically.

“Sorry.  I’m needing information on Lucifer. I was wondering if you had heard anything about his whereabouts?”

Kali looked a little startled by Gabriel’s question.

“Why on earth are you looking for him? Better yet why would you be looking for him and why would I know anything about where he is?”

Gabriel shrugged,

“I’m talking to everyone who has had the pleasure of being in his presence in the past century.”

Kali looked around the room. She was clearly uncomfortable now. Gabriel smirked realizing that her normal arrogant persona had vanished. It was clear to see that Kali was scared of Lucifer.

“That doesn’t answer my question. Why are you looking for him? I figured getting stabbed by your brother would be enough to deter any future contact.”

Gabriel leaned back in his chair.

“There is a situation. It's a little complex.”

“You mean the nephilim child that Lucifer created?”

Kali asked. She  found herself frowning at the cold expression that Gabriel was giving her.

“Yes.”

Kali was quite a few moments before looking back to the archangel that once had her heart.

“I haven't’ seen him. There is my answer.”

“Okay.”

Gabriel replied softly before starting to stand.

“What’s happened to you Gabriel?”

The archangel froze before he sat back down in his seat.

“It’s complicated.”

Kali looked at little annoyed with his response.

“Too complicated to tell someone that you once loved?”

Gabriel’s golden eyes were icy again.

“Loved is a strong word. We both know that what we had wasn’t love. Attraction, yes. Love, eh.”

Kali was clearly surprised by Gabriel’s response. Never in a million years would she have expected those words from coming from his mouth! Gabriel had always been mushy with her so his sullenness was a definite game changer.

“Who is she?”

Gabriel raised an eyebrow.

“She?”

The last thing that he really wanted to do was bring Molly into the conversation but it looked like Kali had put 2 and 2 together.

“Come on Gabriel. This has to be about a girl too. Who is she?”

Gabriel frowned before sighing.

“Her name is Molly.”

Kali raised an eyebrow.

“Is she special to you?”

Gabriel nodded stubbornly. He looked away from his ex to keep himself from looking even more pathetic. He wanted to be with Molly instead of on this mission. He wanted nothing more than to have his arms around her!  

Kali’s voice became oddly more gentle.

“Tell me about her.”  

Gabriel’s eyes snapped back to Kali but didn’t say anything. The goddess smirked.

“You bonded with her didn’t you?”

Gabriel nodded not offering any explanations. The less that Kali knew the better off he would probably be. He wasn’t sure how she would take it and if she would hold anything again Molly. The last thing she needed was some Hindu goddess after her for a relationship that happened before Molly was even born.

Kali’s voice was calm when she spoke again.

“I must say that I am surprised! I never expected this with you Gabriel! You finally let a woman tie you down. She must be something truly amazing!”

Before Gabriel could respond the cell phone in his pocket began to ring. Gabriel was internally thanking whoever was on the other line for stopping this awkward conversation!  He frowned seeing Jack’s name.

“One second.”

He muttered to Kali before answering.

““Hey Jack, what happening? You know you didn't have to use a phone right?”

Jack sounded annoyed immediately.

“Yeah, that doesn't matter. Something is wrong with Molly...”

Gabriel felt that all too familiar feeling of nervousness hit him.

“What do you mean?”

He replied while his brain processed every possible bad thing that could happen to Molly.

“I dunno. She went to the store and came back home super moody. She said she wanted to be left alone and locked herself in her room.”

Gabriel sighed. Running a hand over his face he felt slightly relieved.

“Jack, she’s probably just pissed at me because I had to take off so fast. She will be okay. Just let her be.”

Jack was quiet a moment.

“You sure?”

Gabriel felt bad knowing his nephew was a nervous wreck at the moment. The kid had a lot to learn about women!

“Positive. Give her a few hours and go check on her.”

Gabriel could hear the frustration in Jack's final words.

“Okay. Fine.”

When he hung up Gabriel looked back to Kali. The goddess raised an eyebrow.

“Everything okay?”

Gabriel nodded, regaining his cool composure.

“Of course.”

Kali, having enough of Gabriel's lies, downed the rest of her martini and stood.

“Gabriel, be a good husband and go home to your wife. She clearly needs you. If I see or hear anything about your brother you will be the first person to know.”

Gabriel leaned back in his chair.

“Fair enough. Thank you.”

When Kali left Gabriel didn't go home to his wife instead, he knew that there was a lot of work that had to be done. He couldn't go right home to Molly and everything be okay. Knowing that there was a lot of danger facing his “family” was enough to keep Gabriel going. He would have to shove the want to get home to Molly in the closet for the time being and let Jack deal with things back home.

Meanwhile,

Jack sat in front of his laptop when Balthazar appeared in front of him. Balthazar smiled his normal shit eating grin.

“Greetings, thought I would come by to see my Molly. Where is she?”

Jack pointed to the bedroom. Balthazar's smile faded. He didn't move to go for his daughter. Jack smirked. He knew why Balthazar wasn't moving.

“Gabriel isn't here.”

Balthazar frowned.

“Huh? What do you mean he isn't here? I expected them to be together...bonding and all.”

Jack shrugged.

“He said that he has things to do.”

Balthazar sighed.

“And I am guessing Molly isn't the least bit pleased with him?”

Jack nodded. Balthazar groaned.

“Well I guess I shall go fix everything. I'll have her home soon.”

Balthazar didn't wait for Jack to object before racing down the hall and into Molly and Gabriel's room. Molly  was laying on the floor with her legs stretched out on the closed door of her closet. She looked up at Balthazar with hopeful eyes. He sighed knowing that she was hoping that he was someone else

“Hey dad, come for a visit?”

She asked. Balthazar nodded.

“Yes, sweet pea why are you laying like that?”

Molly shrugged,

“Its comfy.”

Balthazar shrugged at her response before remembering why he was there.

“I talked to the little lad out there and I thought I would take you out for dinner or something. Seeing that Gabriel isn't here and is clearly occupied.”

Molly scoffed.

“Yeah, he's away. Where, I have no clue.”

Balthazar nodded.

“Well I'll have you home long before he shows up. Come on.”

Molly groaned.

“I would rather just stay home.”

Balthazar chuckled.

“Nonsense! No point in sitting at home pouting. Gabriel doesn't know what you are doing so you aren't benefiting yourself in the slightest.”

Molly didn't have the heart to tell Balthazar about her meeting with Lucifer earlier. She didn't want to mention what happened. Lucifer's joke about Balthazar and Gabriel being the biggest man whores in heaven was still making Molly miserable! There was also the thoughts she was thinking about Gabriel getting bored with her soon enough and leaving her behind. He wasn't with her now so what did the future hold? He was home with her enough to gain his strength back, have his way with her, and then he left. What if Lucifer was right after all?

“Earth to Molly!”

Molly shook her head and focused back on Balthazar who was looking at her with a raised eyebrow.

“I'm sorry, what was you saying?”

She asked softly. Balthazar sighed.

“I said get your sweater and come on.”

Molly quickly stood doing as she was told. Maybe Balthazar was right. It was doing her no good to sit in her bedroom pouting. Clearly Gabriel wasn't going to be home to her that night. What would it matter if she decided that she wanted to go out for some fun? It wasn't like Gabriel was there to object about it anyway!

Twenty minutes later Molly sat across from Balthazar as he eagerly demolished a fired chicken platter. She watched him with wide eyes as she took a sip of her water. For an angel he sure enjoyed human pleasures...and that was an understatement!

After eating another chicken wing, Balthazar looked up at his daughter before frowning. Molly sat in the booth across from him looking out the window. Her blue eyes were looking more miserable than he had ever seen them before.

“For a girl that just bonded with an archangel you look incredibly miserable.”

Molly's eyes rolled back to Balthazar.

“Well, it would be better if he was actually here.”

Balthazar frowned.

“Where is he?”

Molly frowned.

“Hell if I know! He didn't tell me anything! Gabriel never tells me anything! He didn't tell me about what happened with Asmodeus. He didn't tell me where he was going or when he's coming back. I'm just a warm body to keep him company when he's bored...at least until he tires of me.”

Balthazar was quiet a moment.

“I don't know what you are talking about sweet pea but I think that it is safe to say Gabriel is sticking with you. Isn't showing such a good example at the moment but he won't be going anywhere for long. Bonds are strong than you realize love.”

Molly didn't look too convinced.

“Yeah.”

Balthazar sighed.

“You know what? We are getting out of here and doing something fun! You are not spending your night moping about on my watch. I bring joy and tonight is your night!”

The next morning Molly woke up at the foot of the bed. She automatically regretted the previous night the moment that she pulled the blanket off of her head and was met by the over head light.

“Crap!”

She muttered as the pounding in her head became more intense. Swinging her legs over the bed Molly could only hope that she could heal herself quickly. It was foolish of her to think that Gabriel would be at home. If he was home she would be feeling like stomped over crap!

Molly wandered into the kitchen feeling like her head was about to explode. She made a mental note to never take her father up on an offer for drinks again. Molly should have just stayed at home and worried over her meet up with Lucifer alone.

Now here she stood in mismatched clothes wondering who in the hell dressed her? Whoever it was needed help! Molly sighed knowing it wasn’t Gabriel. Wherever he was at the moment wasn’t helping with her hangover! Wondering into the library Molly didn’t notice a new face until a strong British accent started talking to her. “Good morning miss aren’t you pretty this morning?” Molly looked around before focusing on the man with dark hair and a snappy suite sitting across from a tense Sam. “Are you a politician or does being a liar run in your family?”

The man's amused expression went cold as Sam and Dean both chuckled.

“I can already tell that you have a lovely personality.”

Molly raised an eyebrow.

“Yeah, welcome to Kansas. Now who are you?”

The man stood easily towering over Molly.

“My name is Arthur Ketch and you might you be? I haven't seen such a pretty face in this establishment before.”

Molly laughed.

“I thought you were some bizarre James Bond cos player or something. My name is Molly. That's about all you need to know.”

Looking over her shoulder at Sam, Molly motioned to the kitchen.

“Sam, can I talk to you?”

Sam nodded quickly walking into the kitchen. Molly meanwhile, looked back to Ketch.

“Well James it was nice to meet you. Thanks for coming the visit from....where you are from.”

Ketch frowned.

“My name isn't James.”

Molly giggled enjoying the amused expression on the man's face. She could already tell that Arthur Ketch was going to be one person that she just couldn't make herself like!  

“Well I'm calling you James. Anyway, later!”

Once Molly exited the room Dean, who was chuckling stood. He loved seeing the beyond annoyed expression on Ketch's face. Dean also knew that Molly had no clue about who Ketch really was and the fact that he was the one that saved Gabriel. It didn't take Dean long to realize that Gabriel had told Molly next to nothing. It was going to be one hell of a mess when she did find out but until that happened Dean was just going to play it cool.

“She's a hoot huh?”

Dean asked with a smile. Ketch raised an eyebrow.

“I supposed that is one way to put it.”

Meanwhile, Molly walked into the kitchen where Sam stood leaning again the counter. Molly looked over her shoulder making sure that Ketch wasn't anywhere around her.

“That's the Arthur Ketch you told me about? The one that hurt your mother and is just bad news?”

Sam nodded.

“Yep, that would be him.”

Molly frowned peeping in to the library. The last thing that that she wanted was this bad new man anywhere near her!

“Why is he here?”

Sam shrugged.

“Just showed up this morning.”

Molly rolled her eyes. She knew that she could easily show the giant ass in the door so he could be on his way.

“Want me to show him the door? I have no shame.”

Sam chuckled.

“Its a little...complicated.”

Sam choked out the word complicated. Complicated wasn't even the proper word! It was a mess having Ketch in the bunker. Both Sam and Dean were on their guard and the thought of Cas' reaction made Sam a little nervous himself. If it wasn't for Gabriel and Ketch's alliance, the former member of the British Men of Letters would have been out on his ass long ago!

Sam, like Dean, knew that Gabriel didn't tell Molly much of anything about his past. It was never more apparent than in the present moment. If Molly knew who Ketch was by his saving Gabriel, she probably wouldn't be calling him James or pretty much telling him to go to hell.

Molly rolled her eyes as she turned to walk toward her room. She looked back at Sam with an exhausted sigh.

“Well good luck to you and Dean with James out there. I am going to take a bath.”

An hour later Molly walked back into the library. Jack sat reading a book on his lap. He looked up at Molly with a smile.

“Morning. Everything go okay last night?”

Molly rolled her eyes.

“Never let me go drinking with my father again!”

Jack chuckled.

“I had a feeling that it will be a bad idea. Have you heard from Gabriel?”

Molly's face immediately looked down at the ground.

“No. So have you eaten anything to day?”

Jack shook his head. He figured Molly would change the subject. She wasn't going to say much about Gabriel! Jack could sense her disappointment. Hell, some random person down the street could probably sense her disappointment!

“I'll fix you something.”

Molly said softly. She walked into the kitchen and started moving pots around. Maybe something on her stomach would make her feel better too!

After a few minutes, Molly heard a cough from behind her. She turned to see Ketch watching her with a smile on his face.

“Can I help you James?”

The annoyed expression on his face was enough to bring Molly some joy. He was quiet a moment before beginning to speak.

“Yes, actually you can. You can tell me what you are.”

Molly felt her heart beginning to pound. Was he dumb enough to think that she was going to be telling him anything about her? Had he figured out what she was? Molly always did everything that she could to just come across as a normal human girl.

She turned looking at Ketch again.

“Excuse me?”

Ketch smiled straightening his suite jacket.  

“There is something different about you. Something not quiet human.”

Molly's blue eyes narrowed.

“Don't know what you are talking about.”

Ketch smiled stepping closer. His dark eyes remained locked on Molly's nervous face. She didn't have to say anything to let Ketch know that she was hiding something.

“I think you do. I think you have a lot of neat stories to share.”

Molly shook her head.

“I'm not telling you shit.”

Ketch laughed.

“You're pretty. Too pretty to have this feisty attitude that you possess.”

Molly tried to move away but she wasn't getting far.

“Well James you get what you get. I'm kind of stuck in my ways.”

Ketch was quiet for a moment. His eyes continued to search Molly's face before he did something that she never expected. He reached out and pulled her into a kiss. Molly stood flabbergasted for a moment before finally being able to push him away. Even thought she could easily fling Ketch into the opposite wall and really cause some damage she didn't.  

She glared angrily at him.

“Don't ever touch me again!”

Ketch smirked.

“What's the matter? Don't have a man to kiss you like that?”

Molly effortlessly pushed past him but stopped in the door frame.

“I am taken and he isn't some annoying bizarre jerk like you are.”

Molly remained in her room the rest of the day. The last thing that she wanted to do was be in any room that James Bond wanna be was in. She knew that she could easily tell Sam and Dean what happened but what if that giant pompous dick decided to do something to hurt the Winchesters? The last thing that she wanted was for something to happen to her “family.”

Around 6 pm Molly heard the voice that she had been wanting to hear for sometime. She could hear Gabriel and Sam talking quietly in the library. As quickly as she could Molly walked into the room where Ketch was sitting with legs crossed. Gabriel look up the moment she walked into the room. His serious expression vanished and he smiled instantly.

“Hey sugar.”

Molly quickly walked to Gabriel wrapping her arms around his shoulders.

“About time you came home!”

Gabriel didn't wait for another comment before pulling her into a long kiss. All of their past unease that had been effecting them both vanished in that moment. Gabriel broke away from her after a few moments. He nuzzled his face against Molly's breathing in her scent.

“Everything okay?”

Molly's fingers were twisting the curls on the back of his neck. She was clearly enjoying every caress that he had to offer.

“It is now.”

Molly whispered. She opened her eyes noticing Ketch watching them with a displeased expression.

“So I supposed you have met James?”

Gabriel frowned.

“Who?”

“She means me. Apparently she thinks my name is James.”

Ketch grumbled. Molly smirked.

“Yeah because you are the worst James Bond that I have ever seen!”

Gabriel looked between the two before glancing to Sam and Dean. Both of the Winchester's looked totally amused. Gabriel sighed.

“Enough. Molly come on.”

Molly looked please but was also a bit annoyed that Gabriel was amused with her assessment of Ketch. She shrugged before following her lover back to their bedroom.

After shutting the door, Gabriel had Molly against the opposite door ravaging her neck and exposed chest with kisses. Molly whimpered as one of Gabriel's hands held both of hers over her head and the other began to tug at the hem of her shirt.  

“Get these clothes off.”

Gabriel hisses. When Molly didn't move fast enough Gabriel snapped his fingers leaving her naked in his arms.

“Bend over that table and spread your legs, sweetheart.”

Molly didn't need to be told twice. She quickly leaved over the table feeling Gabriel's hands lock around her hips.

“You should see how beautiful you look bent over the table like this. Damn I have missed you!”

“I've missed you more.”

Molly said as she felt Gabriel's bare thighs against her backside. She tried to keep her mind from Lucifer's words. They had been trying to eat at her from the moment that Gabriel had her in his arms again.

“Just make him happy and he won't leave.”

Molly thought sadly. Gabriel's fingers that were edging toward her core froze.

“Molly?”

“Why did you stop?”

Molly whined.  She heard Gabriel sigh the sound of him pulling his abandoned pants back on.

“Come here.”

His voice was soft. Molly turned around seeing the archangel sitting on the bed looking at her with worried eyes.  

“We were kind of in the middle of something?”

Molly motioned back to the table. Gabriel shook his head.

“You mood changed. Sugar, I'm not stupid. I know that there is something eating you.”

Molly pressed her lips together looking down.

“Come on Molly. Everything is okay.”

“No, it isn't.”

Molly replied weakly.

“Gabriel, would you bond with me if you knew that you will get bored with me one day?”

Molly almost couldn't bring herself to look at his expression. Gabriel looked horrified. Horrified didn't even adequately describe his expression. He quickly stood reminding Molly of the archangel she met in the beginning. Gabriel looked almost lost.

“Why would you ask me that?”

Molly, realizing how naked she really was under Gabriel's intense gaze, looked down.

“Because you bond with me then just disappear. I didn't know where you were or when you were coming back. What was I supposed to think? I'm just some silly stupid girl that you are forced to love.”

Gabriel was dead silent for a moment.

“Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Cut the drama! Molly what the hell? Where is all of this coming from?”

Molly quickly redressed.

“Think about what I just said.”

Molly said in almost a whisper. Gabriel sat in silence a moment.

“Is this about me leaving the other day? Molly there is going to be some things that I do that you can't be a part of. I am not putting you in any danger. This was one of those times.”

Molly looked back up him.

“I deserve to at least know where you are.”

Gabriel ran a hand over his face.

“I don't want you coming after me when I go take care of things.”

Molly turned quickly. She was mad now.

“Do you think that I am some weakling or something? You do don't you!”

Gabriel sighed.

“Oh Molly, please. Fine! I was out looking for Lucifer. It started with me looking for Raphael who is apparently back too but....if I could take care of Lucifer then a lot of problems would be taken care of.”

Molly's face went from angry to devastated. Her blue eyes widened as she sat down beside Gabriel.

“Sweet Jesus Christmas Gabriel! You just got your grace back and now you are out after your brother?!”

Gabriel sighed.

“I knew that you would react like this!”

Molly blinked. How did he not expect her to react like this? Was that some random thing that he decided to say and just maybe it would sound believable?

“I just don't know what to say.”

Gabriel looked down.

“I'm not some weakling either Molly.”

“Never said you were.”

Molly snapped. Gabriel was quiet a moment.

“Then why are you so mad?”

Molly looked at him angrily.

“Because I love you! Besides you were far off from finding Lucifer.”

Gabriel frowned.

“What do you mean?”

Molly stood and started pacing.

“I literally ran into him at the grocery store. Before you ask no he didn't hurt Jack or me. He just threatened me and said some other...stuff.”

Molly couldn't bring herself to look at Gabriel. She knew that he was angry just by his silence. When she was brave enough to look at his face it apparent how angry he was. His golden eyes were almost glowing and his hands were trembling.

“He didn't touch you?”

Molly shook her head.

“No.”

Gabriel growled and the lights began to flicker. Molly looked around before turning to him.

“You should calm down.”

“How is the hell am I supposed to calm down?!”

He snapped. Molly shrugged.

“Well no one died.”

Gabriel sighed. Here Molly went with her sarcasm!

“What did he say to you?”

Molly's mood instantly changed back to the depressed one she went into when they were about to make love.

“Said basically that we wouldn't last. Said that you would get bored of me because you can't keep your dick in your pants.”

Gabriel was quiet for a minute before standing up and kneeling down in front of Molly. He gently took her hands in his as her blue eyes met his.

“That was who I used to be. Not now. If I had any doubt about our commitment I would have never bonded with you. Trust me, okay?”

Molly felt immediately better. Part of her would still be afraid for a while and Molly knew that Gabriel was probably aware of that. That would take time to fully go away. But the promise that he was strictly hers and his wondering eye was locked on her was enough.  

“I do. I promise.”

Gabriel stood up pulling her back into his arms for another kiss.

“I promise I will do better about just disappearing without contact. I'm sorry I made you worry.”

“You're here now. It would have been nice when I was hung over this morning and I really could have used a cuddle partner.”

Gabriel's jaw dropped.

“Huh?”

Molly giggled putting a finger to Gabriel's lips.

“No ruining the moment. Kiss me angel.”

Gabriel gave her a kiss before looking back down at her seriously.

“Where you and Jack out at a club or something?”

Molly giggled shaking her head.

“Balthazar took me out.”

Gabriel rolled his eyes.

“We can talk about that later. I want what's mine now.”

A days with a shitty beginning and middle was ending on a high note for Molly and Gabriel. She knew there was a lot that she had to tell him. Molly dreaded telling him about the kiss with Ketch. Even though she didn't kiss the asshat back part of her was afraid that Gabriel would be angry with her to. Her only prayer was that he wouldn't take anything out on her! On the flip side, Gabriel knew that there was a lot that he had to tell her. She deserved to know everything and he was going to have to tell her the truth. As much as it sucked she needed to know everything and he would have to “man up” and let everything out in the open.

“I'm always going to be yours.”

Molly whispered against his lips. Gabriel smiled against her.

“Always.”
