The game of basketball like in life is poetry in motion. The twist and turns, momentum swings, and competition teach you a lot about yourself. This is the hoop my grandpa set up for us in Germany on their barn. It’s not regulation 10ft because like pulp fiction taught us, the metric system is a bit off. ;) It’s about 10ft8 and if you shoot long range you can’t get much arc because it will hit the bottom of the A frame roof. Not to mention the court is slanting downward at an angle to the house. What am I getting at? If you love the game of life, business, relationships, it doesn’t fucking matter as long as you get to play and have a chance to shoot. So I've been working on this #zolajacket for a few days ... there is an obvious mistake in the first row of the triangle pattern...its top down ....I considered visiting the lifeline but I decided to leave it . I'm not sure how rowan #rowanfeltedtweed frogs and I dont want to wreck the yarn ....hey ho . I am doing this as a longer cardigan with a bit of positive ease. The original pattern is for negative ease and as a short version ( which wont work on me ...too fluffy!) In our world where we live, there is nothing called perfect. No tree in the forest is perfectly straight, no two trees are perfectly similar. No flower has petals that are perfectly curved and in proper order. No animal in the wild have perfect features. Then why is the obsession to be perfect. Everything in this world is ever changing, that includes your thoughts, your skin, leaves on a tree, flowers, weather, sun's position and others. When nothing is permanent or ever-changing how can we bring perfection? What was perfect 2 minutes ago, has just become imperfect because your perception of things have changed. How patriarchy during our childhood was ok and not when you grew up! How same sex love was illegal until 2018, has now changed. How the concept of perfect couples, perfect love has just changed since a lot of other narratives surrounding it has changed!? We should try and not be obsessed about perfection and try and do as many things in as many ways its possible to push boundaries, to unravel more possible ways of completing a task. So, let's leave the definition of perfection to dictionary and perhaps literature. And not worry much about it in our real lives. This will also reduce the stress on you and people around you.
