As more people want to go green more and more companies are jumping on the greenwashing band wagon and well... I'm sick of it. Here are some examples I've seen recently... Smart water @smartwater_uk are 100% greenwashing with their ads. And what is 100,% more sustainable is using a refillable bottle and tap water! Primark (@primark) announced a "sustainable pop up" for their wellness collection. Lots of buzz words but absolutely no answer on Twitter when lots of people asked them who made the clothes or where their "sustainable" materials are coming from. @opticalexpress are doing a great job at shaming their consumers claiming their damaging the environment with contact lenses instead of looking for solutions themselves! As @moralfibresblog put it, "100% of fossil fuel companies are damaging the environment." (Photo via her) Balenciaga went for an apocalyptic theme for their fall 2020 show with chairs under water, models walking on water and a very end of the world vibe. But they're in a big part, partly responsible for this mess... Via @zyahbelle @Tescofood selling plastic bags with no time for waste on them 😂😂 have to laugh at the irony here. And the fact it a impossible to do a plastic free shop at Tesco. Via @venetiafalconet An article from @vice showed that @boohoo add an average of 116 new items every day to their site. Yep 116. Every. Single. Day. A figure that will never be sustainable. Yet like many other fast fashion giants they continue to greenwash with cheap recycled range #nowastehere (I'm sure this collection produced a lot of waste and was not ethically made). And that's it for this week's greenwashing news roundup. I might make a weekly new roundup like this! (Recipe below ⬇️ eng/ger) What to do with leftover salad/lettuce? • Well, we were gifted huge amounts of corn salad (why do you call it corn salad? Or lambs lettuce.. seems odd to me 😄) about a week ago and even after having it for dinner every single day, there was so much left. • So what do you do with all that green stuff? Exactly, you make green pesto 👍🏻 Easiest way to use everything up and if you make a few jars full you can gift them to friends and family 🤗 • Recipe❤️ + 100g corn salad + 50g roasted pine nuts + 1 garlic clove + 2 tbsp lemon juice + 20g nutritional yeast or parmesan cheese + 2 tbsp olive oil (and some more) = first blend the pine nuts then add in the rest and blend til everything has the consistency of your liking, add to a glass jar with lid and put olive oil on top for preservation. 🌱 • • Was stellt man mit übrig gebliebenem Salat ? • Wir haben vor ungefähr einer Woche Unmengen an Feldsalat geschenkt bekommen und trotzdem das wir jeden Abend davon gegessen haben, hätten wir bis gestern so viel über! • Also, was macht man mit den Grünzeug? Richtig, man macht grünes Pesto. Wenn man genug Gläser voll kriegt, kann man es super an Freunde und Familie verschenken. 🤗 • Rezept❤️ + 100g Feldsalat + 50g geröstete Pinienkerne + 1 Knoblauchzehe + 2 EL Zitronensaft + 20g Hefeflocken oder Parmesan + 2 EL Olivenöl = erst mixt man die Pinienkerne in einer Küchenmaschine, dann fügt man den Rest hinzu und püriert bis alles die gewünschte Konsistenz erreicht hat. Um das Pesto zu konservieren füllt man es erst in ein Schraubglas und füllt dieses dann bis zum Rand mit Olivenöl. 🌱 • #pesto #lettuce #nowastehere #food #vegan #homemade #zerowastecommunity #recipe
