So. I’ve now finally watched the subs for NS008. And it is a fun episode. Just a bit generic and usual and nothing unexpected really happened. But if you’re new to series, then maybe you’ll find more enjoyment in it. I loved the animation thou, Shinohara is one of those animators who never disappoint me in the quality, I love his style. And I think he actually commented in twitter about Satoshi’s clothing choices, and I think he was wondering whether Kukui and Burnet dressed him up during their Lanakila Mountain School Trip since his choice of clothing was... questionable here lol. Don’t take my word. But I’ve been enjoying his comments on latest Pokeani episodes!

Anywho. Well animated episode. Basic plot. I’m more interested in next week’s episode, thou mainly for the Ho-oh plot. I don’t trust this series. Yet. The god damn preview dialogue had the old guy state Ho-oh doesn’t exist thou so Satoshi should def shout back at him about having seen him before! ...wait, didn’t the Johto saga’s Enju City episode have the fancy guy question Satoshi as well? I forgot his name!

Satoshi and Go have met the haggard Pokémon "Pochama" and head to the Sinnoh region in order to take it back to its Trainer! There, they're currently holding an ice floe race for Pokémon...

Summary:

Satoshi and Go have met the disheartened and worn-out Pokémon "Pochama" in Kuchiba's port. They take it back to the laboratory and feed it, at which point they're contacted by its Trainer Misaki. It actually turns out that Pochama has swam here all the way from the faraway Sinnoh region?! Satoshi and Go head to the Sinnoh region in order to escort Pochama back to Misaki's! There, they're currently holding an "ice floe race" for Pokémon...

We should be getting new episode titles either by the end of this week or by the end of next week. Along with staff lists for Pokeani 2019′s episodes 8 and 9. I do look forward to knowing whether Tomioka is writing the Ho-oh episode (since he originally wrote the Ho-oh legend episodes during Johto saga iirc), or if it’s being handled by someone else. I also can’t wait to learn what the hell the show’ll be doing after that episode, as we don’t know! Fingers crossed for something intriquing?

Man. That was a GOOD episode!

I remained silent about Barrierd on here because I didn’t want it to affect my overall impression on the episode, and considering how I felt about Kapu-Kokeko being Kukui’s last Pokémon, I decided to go with an open mind. I REALLY hope Satoshi explained why he took Barrierd as his second ‘mon, but either way, he ended up being lots of fun, and the moment he was up against a dark-type he wimped out LOL. I... I think I like our Barri-chan now. And he now has an official ball, is it Hanako’s or did Satoshi freaking steal his mom’s ‘mon wtf am I supposed to think of this implication????

Anywho... the supposed jerk of the ep wasn’t a jerk but actually a nice guy with a jerky look, who somehow ticked Gou by calling him cute. He’s definitely a boy, not a girl in disguise like some weird theory’s been going around LOL. And Satoshi remains undefeated. And Electroweb remains the best Pikachu move ever I SWEAR! But it remained mainly Gou focus, Satoshi’s part of the ep was to show how amazing Barri-chan is and how he is still a champ. Thou not mentioned as one, I need a mention pleaaaaaase D: Also, really annoyed by the Tournament being called Battle Frontier when it indeed had nothing to do with it. Even the prize was just.... stuff. Nothing of interest. A shame.

This was a good ep overall, still annoyed by Gou catching Pokémon left and right without battling or actually being shown to catch them, but I guess he really is a GO player type. Gotta try to adjust to that idea and just accept it.

But in two weeks. In TWO WEEKS. Rocket Gang is FINALLY back and they have their usual fish Pokémon ship. How did they end up in Sinnoh thou, that’s another question lol. Gou seems to catch a random Mantyke next week and the Gureggru and Pochama belong to a COTD girl. And there’s a race. Seems like a filler but we’ll see. I’ll watch it for Rocket Gang!
