I just finished rewatching Numb3rs for the first time since it originally aired. And I'm really wanting to rewatch it...again. Unfortunately, I have a really long list of shows to rewatch that I just don't have the time to re-rewatch it. 😭

Rewatching Numb3rs from the beginning is great bc so many wonderful early Eppes bros moments, and baby agent David, and sweet Terry, and filming inside the actual house, but then you remember that Colby doesn't appear until the second season and.

I now want to write a Numb3rs fic. I'm currently doing a rewatch and am on S3 (not hit THAT episode yet), and now I'm suddenly wanting to write fic for it.

To be honest though, I actually had ideas to write fic for Numb3rs a couple of years ago, but maybe sorted of started something. WHAT AM I TALKING ABOUT....I did actually write a sort of Numb3rs one shot. It's not my best work, but yeah, now I'm wanting to write for it again.

I know the fandom may be no more, I don't know, are people still watching and writing for this show. Oh well, I'm going to anyway.

I've been rewatching a couple episodes of numb3rs and what I love about Charlie is he's you're typical fictional child genius who excels at math, but is somewhat insecure socially. But he's never arrogant, he's very open about his feelings, he's very empathetic and funny. Above all, he's just kind.

Joker:

Initially it starts as just sex and Ian brings the same intensity into the bedroom that he does to everything else. He’s very domineering, it’s about taking what he needs and then leaving you absolutely ruined in the sheets,

As things develop into more, he starts to relax a little, show vulnerability. His playful side comes out and he brings that wry sense of humour into the bedroom. He gets a little more playful, there’s a lot more smiles and laugher.

Kinky:

I would say although Ian’s more dominant, he’s used to conventional sex. He’s more about positions originally as there hadn’t been much space for him to explore. He really enjoys watching the two of you, in a mirror, the reflection of the French windows, he just loves seeing the two of you together, knowing you’re his.

You’re a bit more experimental, whispering in his ear why don’t we try this and Ian is happy to oblige, I imagine he learns a lot from you in that respect. Ian’s version of sensation play is drinking a cold beer and chasing all over your body with chilled lips and a heated tongue.

I think your both into breath play a little, nothing two extreme but Ian’s hand on your throat at the right moment, gets you off like nothing else.

Ian’s a bit of a talker.

Place:

For Ian camping outdoors, getting to spend the night with you in the woods, looking up at the stars is perfect. He likes to make love to you in front of the campfire and fall asleep to the sound of the forest.

Ian doesn’t feel comfortable in hotel rooms or luxury spaces like that so stays at places like that are a firm no. He’s flexible on B&Bs if it’s for something special like your birthday and he’s taking you wine tasting.

When he stays at your place he always leaves the French windows ajar because you have woodland at the back of your house and he enjoys being close it, however due to his paranoia, he’s always sleeping between you and the door.

Restraints:

Ian is more likely to use his body to restrain you, his hands pinning yours above your head, his hips sinking into yours. He likes you vocal so there’s never any gags involved, he also likes to look into your eyes when he fucks you so no blindfolds.

Ian hates being out of control. He dislikes being restrained and anything that goes along with it. You get the sense that something happened to him during his time in the military that he isn’t ready to tell you yet.

I used to watch Numb3rs with my mom when I was in middle/high school. It was a cute show with cute boys (obv I was in love with Charlie). I decided to rewatch a few episodes last month and was like WOW I've been sleeping on this. Now I've watched every season, read nearly every fanfic I could find on FF and AO3, and I'm going back and giffing my favorite episodes 💀 I seriously cannot get enough

Doing a Numb3rs rewatch and I'm telling you the guest stars on this show are top notch. In one episode you have Bill Nye the science guy and then in the very next you have both Aldis Hodge and Tamara Taylor. Yeah that's right the actors who play a literal superhero (although I know him from leverage) and my personal queen Dr. Camille Saroyan are in the same episode.

And for a small anecdote, the entire time we've been doing WIP Wed together (of which I think I've requested RTH here and there), I had no idea that Renegades was the name of a show... until now! I just saw the gifset you reblogged of Hank Storm with the renegades tag and excitedly shouted "It's the hot guy from Numb3rs!!" I get why you like the show, and I might have to go out and watch some of it myself now! So thanks for the accidental rec :) Anyway, happy writing!!!

Alas, Renegades is a movie and not a tv show (oh how I wish I had a tv show's worth of stuff for Hank and Buster). Hank is totally the reason I watched it though. I had just finished rewatching all the Numb3rs episodes that Lou Diamond Phillips is in and I wanted more because look at his face. I just started going through his filmography looking for stuff that looked like it might be interesting. The summary on wikipedia included the line "Hank rescues Buster and nurses him back to health" and I went, potential for whump and/or hurt/comfort?Yup, sounds good to me. I, uh, may have gone and gotten obsessed.

Anyway, thank you for the ask! I got lots of editing done on Renegades Title Here (Two Halves of a Whole being the title I eventually went with when I started posting the earlier chapters on ao3), so here are three new sentences for you from Mraaaah.

What old 00s show should I watch?

I'm on my like 12th rewatch of Numb3rs right now. I did my time with Supernatural and I don't like the Vampire diaries. I've watched NCIS since the beginning.

Any suggestions?
