How to Add 3D Models to TS3
Required Applications:
Blender - https://www.blender.org/

NVIDIA Texture Tools, Photopea, or GIMP (or anything else that allows you to save an image as a .dds file)
Recommended:
S3PE - https://www.simlogical.com/ContentUploadsRemote/uploads/189/ - Used to make = object base game compatible and available in CAW
Sims3Multi Pack Extractor - https://modthesims.info/d/364038/delphy-s-sims-3-pack-multi-extracter-updated-5th-sept-2009.html - Used to convert a sims3pack into a package file
This will also require showtime, since the object we will be cloning will be from that pack. I'm not sure if there's a base game object with a light/illumination map that we can use. If you don't want the windows of the building(s) to light up or anything lighting up on whatever object you are adding then you can try and find a base game object to clone.
Step 1: Export .obj file from Blender
Step 2: Import .obj into Milkshape
Step 3: Rename object in Milkshape to group_0, then export file as .wso (in order to export it as a .wso, you need to have the TSRW plugins for Milkshape installed)
Step 4: Open TSRW - Create New Project - Choose Object
Step 5: Under The Sims 3 choose Uncategorized Objects under Object by Category. In the search bar, type in 'hill' and choose the 'Sign City Hill' object. Name your project (make sure to rename both project name and title)
Step 6: First, choose where you want your object to show in the catalog. I just choose decor (function category) and miscellaneous decor (function sub category). Go to the mesh tab and using the button of the box with the green arrow, import your .wso file. For the first pop-up click yes. For the second, click no.
Step 7: Under Group 0, click on the three dots beside 'material'. This is where you will import your textures. Before doing so, you must make sure the images are in .dds format. Simply add your image into any application that supports importing/exporting .dds files. I personally save with BC3/DXT5 compression and don't keep mipmaps. Some say to save the mipmaps, but because I use 2K textures it adds a lot more to the file to save them so I don't. Once you've got them in the correct format, import them into the object's materials. For the detail map I simply import a small blank white texture. The diffuse is the main color texture, the multiply map is the ambient occlusion map (if you do not have it, I'm pretty sure you can just add a blank white texture too), and the self illumination map is what allows part of the mesh to light up. If you do not want anything to light up you can just add a plain black texture. Click done and exit out once all textures are replaced.
Step 8: Click the drop down that reads 'high level of detail' and choose the shadow lod. Click on the blue arrows beside the import icon. A pop-up will show; check the box under medium detail and click ok. You will see that once you've done that, the object's shadow will change.
Step 9: Click file - save as and save .wrk file (just in case).
Step 10: Export to Sims3Pack
Extra - Make Object Base Game Compatible
1. Convert .sims3pack to .package using Sims3Multi Pack Extractor
2. Open S3PE and open package file you want to edit
3. Find OBJD tag and double click on it
4. Change group number to 0 and click ok.
5. Save package
Extra 2 - Make object appear in CAW
1. Open S3PE and open package file you want to edit
2. Find OBJD tag and highlight it by clicking on it once
3. At the very bottom of the window, click on 'Grid'
4. Click the arrow beside 'CommonBlock' to open the tab
5. Beside the version, change the C to E and click commit
6. Reopen the 'Grid' and go back into the 'CommonBlock' tab. If you scroll down, you will now see 'IsVisibleInWorldBuilder', change it from false to true.
7. Scroll down until you find 'BuildCategoryFlags'. Replace the number with 0x00008000.
8. Click commit and save the file.
Let me know if you have any questions! TSRW is very finicky and sometimes things can go wrong. There are some things that I may not know how to fix, but I will try my best to help.

The final step, emitting the target language, which is nowadays often NOT C, is our greatest weakness in 2024. A new generation of engineers and systems folk have discovered the fruits of Chris Lattner's labor and staked their claim on today's software landscape. Unfortunately for reverse engineers, we continue to deal with the Cambrian explosion in binary diversity without commensurate improvements in tools. We eat shit reading worsening pseudo-C approximations of things that are not C.
This problem will probably not get solved in the near future. There is no market for a high-quality Rust decompiler. First, no one writes exploits or malware in languages like Rust or Haskell. Unlike C/C++/Obj-C, the Rust/Haskell/etc ecosystems are predominantly open-source further decreasing the need for reverse engineering. Lastly, improved source control and ready availability of managed enterprise services (i.e. GitHub) make first-party loss of source code much rarer nowadays. So like, no one really cares about decompiling Rust other than unfortunate CTF players.
Golang is a notable exception. Golang is like, the language for writing malware--great standard library, good cross-platform support, brain-dead easy concurrency, easy cross-compilation, fully static linking, and design with junior programmers in mind. You could shit out a Golang SSH worm in like 200 LoC crushing carts and ketamine no problem. People worry about AGI Skynet hacking the Pentagon to trigger a nuclear holocaust but really it's more gonna be like eastern European dudes rippin' it with some hella gang weed ChatGPT ransomware.
So maybe we'll get a good Golang decompiler first?

Alrighty! New itfts’s out time for me to theorize like alil idiot.

Right now I'm starting to notice a pattern, especially for clocks character. From what I can see he's becoming more aware, more sentient, he's not a strange host like creature (ei. Algebraliens.))

And from what I can see, a small snippet of an alternate clock (who I will be addressing as obj c, for the sake of simplicity) setting up some popcorn, maybe sitting down at his couch, to watch a movie? To lounge about? To flip some channels.. and doze off, you know, avarage Sunday evening.

And at the end, as pointed out by user kyndal47 in the comment section of this episode, they point out the fact in the end we can see an image of clock, staring directly back at US, (that's if we bring up the brightness at 11:31, if you wanna see for yourself?)

My first theory is about clock, more specifically, obj c, we see at the end he's setting up some popcorn to lounge, and from what I can observe. During the elimination, we see green turn into a radio as he gets eliminated. If your alittle observer like me!

You'd notice greens still saying something.

“it’s just a dream” r. Green says, “ and my advice is don't neglect to have a nice.., it cuts off, I don't know about you but if I had to assume, I'd like to think the ending to that sentence would've been, have a nice dream.
Have a nice dream? Obj c is dreaming, dreaming of himself being “clock” being a strange host - like creature, and more evidence to support this theory!
We hear our blurred out polka say (in reverse, again thank you user kyndal47 for providing this info) she says “change the channel” multiple times, and followed after by “i can hold Everything together for only so long”.
So from what I can see this is a dreaming obj c, subconsciously flipping through channels, while dreamin’! And perhaps polkas in a sense, a key to those channels, as her “dots” are portals that lead to different dimensions! (aka, channels!)
The blurred out polka is almost a glitched/ altered version of polka that's also more aware? Awake in a sense, she's a small and compact card with dots and her dots are portals to different channels, different channels SHE keeps together (by holding Herself together!) Literally! But when we see her fly out of blurry dot she seems less aware? Almost like she forgot what she said.
Its like when she was brought back again, she forgot a part of who she was, I mean heck! The polka we see in show barely even knows where her portals lead too!
Maybe she's in a sense a direct reflection of the tv were possibly watching the show through? The box that holds everything together, the card with millions of channels complied into one, the channels being represented as “portals” she can let people go through.
And the fact what were watchings a strange midnight amalgamation of a dream where our barely conscious obj c sleepily flips through channels while still stuck in a dream? And yet he still neglects to have a sense of control or logic in what happens in it, he forgets what or why he's here for.
He neglected what it meant to have a nice dream.

Clock, (the sentient one we see at the end of itft is addressed as obj c) may or may not be in a dream and polka dot is the key to the channels (aka universes) as her dots are portals that teleport to different places, she's stated in the episode “i can hold everything together for only so long” as supporting the theory she may be a direct reflection of the tv we're watching itft through, and pretty much the entirety of itft is a dream that obj c is stuck in.

I'm asking this in good faith, and to preface, I'm not jewish. I've read a lot of jewish ppl on here talk about how Jews were made into soap and lampshades and leather during the holocaust. I've been trying to research this, but I keep seeing top scholars in the area of the holocaust say these are debunked myths, cruel rumours spread around the camp, possibly to instil more fear and obedience. do you or any other Jews have sources about this? everything is very contradictory. thank you in advance.
Yes- it definitely happened. The questions arise out of authenticating individual specimens. Without modern scientific equipment, some authenticators came to the conclusion that human skin was not human skin- probably because they were (thankfully) unfamiliar with human skin.

what is a syntax tree and how did you construct that, that is fascinating
A syntax tree is a way of representing the constituent structure of a sentence (i.e. how it can be broken up into parts) as a graph. It's one of the most common representations used in contemporary syntactic theory.
As for how you construct it, there are various both general and language specific rules but the simplest explanation would be that you "split" the tree each time you reach a unit of syntax that could be replaced by a simpler atom.
For example:
The sentence "I knew that guy" can be split into a subject "I" and verb phrase "knew that guy", which you could replace with a simple verb (e.g. "I ran"), so you split these two parts into an NP and a VP (under an IP for complicated theoretical reasons).
"knew that guy" can be broken up into a verb "knew" and an object "that guy", which you could replace with a simpler noun phrase (e.g. "I knew him"), so you split these two parts into a V and an NP.
"that guy" can be split into a determiner "that" and a head noun "guy", both of which are substitutable ("the guy", "that dog"), so you split these two parts into a D and an N.
Add some extra details that are required for theoretical reasons that I can't easily go into here, and boom!

Of course, nothing's ever quite that simple.
For one, substitution isn't really the only test that goes into making the divisions on the tree. For example, there's active debate among different syntacticians over whether you should split ditransitive verb phrases like "give me a cake" into [[give] [me] [a cake]] or into [[give me] [a cake]]. The substitution test I gave above would suggest the latter, but I personally believe the former is better suited to account for the data in object symmetric languages like the Kordofanian language Moro. So I would represent the verb phrase "give me a cake" with a trinary branching tree like below, but other syntacticians would hate this.

For another, almost any actual syntactic framework is going to require more in your trees than I'm including here. A proper LFG c-structure, for example, would require at least node annotations (and possibly lexical entries on the leaves), resulting in a tree that looks more like:

where I come from we don't say "the continuation monad functor transformer is full and faithful", nor do we say "a functor F: 𝒞 (locally small) ↦ Sets ‘essentially’ maps c ∈ Obj(𝒞) to the natural transformations into F from c's corepresentation functor, via a construction natural in F and c"; we say "Fc ≅ ∫ₐ Sets(𝒞[c, a] , Fa)", and because I don't get out enough I think that's beautiful

Hii! Trying to figure out whether or not I should try modding the TS3 and was wondering- Do you have any recommendations on what to do / what not to do since Ive heard that its a lot more difficult then the TS4? Thank you!

but! it depends whether you mean adding mods others have made, or making your own mods!
adding mods to ts3;
get nraas errortrap, overwatch, and MC. literally the bare minimum on script mods
get a mod manager/merger, like cc magic or sims 3 mod organizer. tldr, ts3 reads fewer large packages a lot better than hundreds/thousands of tiny ones. it'll improve your preformance to merge them, and these programs will do it for you! cc magic will also auto unpack sims3packs :}
pay attention to stuff like polycounts and texture sizes when dl'ing stuff - usually people put these in their info posts as good practice. unlike ts4, its MUCH more noticeable if you have a bunch of crazy hd alpha stuff and the game starts to chug or just crash
pray because this game is kinda sentient sometimes
making mods for ts3;
generally, you wanna use TSRW (cringe) or S3PE for cas/bb stuff - for cas meshes, blender geom tools is pretty self explanatory, at least it was for me? for bb stuff i use raw .fbx/.obj exports and import those into tsrw
do not use milkshape in 2025. you can do it all in blender now. do not subject yourself to that torment (silly)
for script modding. uh. all i can really say is. fuck around and find out?
doing gameplay modding is DEFINITELY a way higher curve than for ts4, you gotta haul it to fuckin. visual studio. compile a dll. what the hell man
c# / dotnet 2.0 is your thing here, which is. an old ass version of the language because its an old ass game. but even if its more of a leaning curve, things like monopatcher have already opened up an insane door, and the community is very helpful and collaborative!

PERSONALITY & BACKGROUND:
A rare example of a hybrid born without magical intervention, Ivrel grew up dirt poor even by the standards of the underprivileged surface class. Her mother, a wealthy woman overseeing her family's land on the surface, was already frail before pregnancy and ultimately did not survive it. Her father, a traveling sellsword, had grown up learning more from the blade than any books, and Ivrel was soon to follow in his footsteps. Spending her own “professional” career as what effectively amounts to a henchman, she’s never had the chance to form any lofty aspirations. Ivrel simply desires to not be miserable (objective failed. objective failed. objective failed. obj-)
Despite her... haggardness, Ivrel maintains a relaxed demeanor and takes things as they come. While she often comes off as unruly, crass, and, well... kind of scary, Ivrel is surprisingly good-natured, rarely passing judgment onto others. Under most circumstances, she’s rather slow to anger, but she enjoys fighting more than she’d care to admit. Even without a formal education, Ivrel has a good mind for strategy, or at least she does when she’s relatively sober. She despises her unusual appearance, though she still uses it to her advantage – it’s safer to be scary than pretty in Valonvyr. Assuming she likely wouldn’t live to old age regardless, Ivrel developed an addictive personality early in life... A nontrivial portion of her many duels happened under the influence.
For many years, Ivrel worked with Vita Caturnon, and lived with them, and, well, you could say they were “partners” in more than one sense. Eventually, though, Vita chose her own lofty aspirations over staying in the slums of of Wellspring City with Ivrel, who thought their plan to follow a lead to the infamous island of Meruyi was outrageous at best. Vita went anyways. Newly single, unemployed, and about to be homeless, Ivrel angrily decided that she would kill Aloysius Caturnon herself. The universe had other plans, though – miraculously, Ivrel was struck by a meteorite en route. Weeks later, she awoke, entirely unharmed, with five million shells of medical debt. Facing what she thought would be her last duel, Ivrel quickly (painfully) discovered her new ability. After somehow killing one of the reapers – the vicious debt collector mercenaries of Valonvyr – she went on the run and, ironically enough, ended up on a ship en route to that very same island.
Although her father's unshakable (?) Zencarite beliefs always seemed to (somehow, despite it all) keep him happy, Ivrel never took the time to consider faith that closely before. Now, she’s come to believe that she must be suffering from something akin to karma. Since her "accident," she’s developed an uncharacteristic tendency to wax philosophical to herself, wondering about the nature of fate and god, whom she can’t help but think must be spiteful and cruel. While others vie for immortality (or anything near it), she sees her powers as a punishment, a cruel joke. Not that she thinks her any of her musings are worth much, though. Ivrel generally assumes herself to be simple-minded and is absolutely mortified at the thought of confronting her own misery. It’s embarrassing. It doesn’t suit her. Everyone already knows she’s a loser – might as well try to have some fun with it. What makes you think this changes anything?. It’s embarrassing. It doesn’t fit her character. ABILITIES:
Regeneration is generally considered her primary ability, but she can warp her body further than that, including impossible contortions and even growing extraneous parts on demand. Just takes a bit for her to figure all that out. Technically, all Reliquaries can heal by "sacrificing" a certain material or item. Ivrel, though, can regenerate INCREDIBLY fast from anything short of complete, instantaneous annihilation, and *her own gore* (not to mention that of an opponent) counts as her designated sacrifice of "meat." Her tolerance to substances (the bad kind, but also the fun kind) has greatly increased, much to her displeasure. She's not exactly immortal, but killing her would be no small task, to say the least. The grapnel that comes out of her arm can extend to seemingly endless lengths, and Ivrel is always able to maneuver it as if it were part of her own body.
