Aristedes, the eldest lord of House Andraste and a mage who unknowingly struck a deal with a fey entity while attempting to save a stranger (who later on became his partner). Able to glimpse into the future but at a great cost to himself.

Mages of House Andraste, descendants of a noble who took on the guise of a gilded beast.
Aristedes on the left, and his great-granddaughter Lasair on the right (who belongs to my friend). These pieces were done months apart, but they go together quite nicely, don't you think 🔥

Okay, third and (probably) final VILE OC!
This is Aristedes (Ari), codename Vinegaroon ( https://www.macrophotobug.com/vinageroon-whip-scorpion-arizona/ THIS IS A SCARY BUG, DON’T CLICK THE LINK IF SCORPION SPIDERS FREAK YOU OUT!)
His “thing” is just simply thieving. He is just a classic thief- dresses in black, hides his face. He is, however, a master at it. He can slip past any alarm system, pick any lock, and do it twice as fast as anyone else. While it doesn’t sound too impressive in a school full of specialized operatives, sometimes the ops are so specialized...that they just don’t get the job done.
Along with being a master of darkness thievery and silence, he can pick locks, fight fairly well, disable or slip past nearly any alarm system, and is handy with a knife when he needs to be.
He wears black on missions only (a black stealth suit with a black hoodie over top of it). He actually loves wearing colors- and colors make him look less suspicious in daily life, too. His favorite shirt is a white one with a rainbow on it. He also wears jeans.
He wears a plain black mask to hide the lower part of his face, too. He has a long scar from mid-face down through his lip that he got when he was young underneath it- even he doesn’t know how he got it, his family won’t ever tell him.
The mask also helps with his identitylessness because he has a sort of undefined face. With the mask, its hard for many people to tell, at first glance, if he’s male or female.
His personality is generally normal on the talkative scale, though on the quieter side out of habit. He likes cracking jokes, and can sometimes be a bit cocky.
He often looks down upon operatives who wear such obvious costumes, like, oh, Tigress. “Just give her a tail, already!” Is a frequent quip of his about her. Or, Paper Star- “Give her any more colors and patterns and she’ll be a circus..” Or, his favorite subject, Carmen herself: “Bright red! Could anything be more obnoxious? Are all policemen incompetent, or just blind?”
He was just a normal house-robbing teenager when he was recruited into VILE, albeit an unusually good and successful one.
His favorite class was, of course, Stealth 101. He passed it with flying colors, certainly top of his year in that one. In the academy, he met Catherine/Starlet and Sascha/Kieman, and they became very good friends, although they rarely work together on missions.
Aristedes’s family is originally from Mexico, though they moved to the US (Arizona, actually relatively close to Catherine from a wide perspective). So, yes, he is Ari from Arizona. Neither of his names exactly roll of the tongue...(his friends affectionately call him Roo).
