20. If they were asked to explain the difference between romantic and platonic or familial love, how would they do so?

I'm not sure they would be able to separate the three tbh. Her relationships are very found family and the lines start to blur. Sometimes you just gotta kiss the homies goodnight, you know?

38. What memory do they revisit the most often? 

lol you knew exactly what you were doing with this one. i think they think about killing sisko a lot. its not something they really even want to think about but its constantly simmering just below the surface. they think about it in third person as well. its hard for them to picture them even killing him and that little bit of distance helps to keep them from losing it about it.

E) Are they someone you would get along with? Would they get along with you?

i dont think we'd super get along. i feel like we could talk about art and maybe video games, but given that a lot of her trauma is based around stuff i like? i doubt we could be good friends lol

The Dark Urges

I was bored and decided to write about Fidget's parents and how they met and such and I noticed something interesting. And that is just HOW MUCH Fidget is like her dad. Especially when it comes to falling for someone who isn't quite human and are also extremely dangerous and terrifying.

The only real difference is that Micha wasn't the cause of the situation that lead to dozens of people dying and Avi finding her among the massacre. Gary, on the other hand, WAS the massacre. As he is much more willing to commit violence, as it is basically an essential need for him to do so.

Still, it's interesting how Fidget ended up in a relationship that was "wrong" in some way when her father did almost the exact same thing when he was around the same age. I think it'd made a nice plot point though. I can easily see Avi not being okay with Gary, especially after learning what Gary is, and Fidget having to be like "So it's okay for YOU to go out and fuck a cryptid but it's wrong when I do it." And Avi knows damn well she's right because Gary hasn't actually tried to hurt him or the twins so far and Fidget definitely has the situation under control. But he still can't help being a dad about it.

I think eventually, Avi gets attached to Gary too and starts to see him as a son. I actually really love that idea too. Having Gary actually break down because Avi ends up caring about him in a way Gary's own father never did.

Avis the Good.

A little goodbye to the D&D character who took up space in my head for 2 years. Like I usually do, I made a character who started off as a stressed loner, unwilling to ask for help, and my amazing friends saw that and tore those walls down. I wrote out a devastating ending for them, where they betrayed the party and through the power of time-travel and forgiveness, the Paladin of the party swooped in and gave Avis a chance to stop before it even happened. And now they are free and thriving!

Every time I tell someone about Sisko, they’re like “Avi strangling him to death is too nice!!! She should rip him to pieces and tear his guts out and shoot him!!!!” and I’m like yeah you’re correct but no one else understands that it needs to be dissatisfying!!!

She didn’t kill him out of revenge!!! It was an accident!! Purely out of survival bc if she didn’t kill him, he would have killed her! It’s not the death he deserves but it was the only thing she could do! His death wasn’t the result of her finally snapping after months of torture, it was the last resort of a terrified teenager who was left with no options other than dying.

Avi’s not violent. The closest she comes to even attempting to hurt anyone is when she pulls Lee up by his lapels to yell at him until she dissolves into tears because she was scared. She fucking hates Sisko. There’s no way she couldn’t. But she's just a normal teenager who was thrown into the worst situation. What average person would actually want to brutally tear someone apart with their own hands?

But he’s dead now, but Avi can’t get closure about him now. He won’t get any sort of punishment or justice for all the horrible things he did to her and her friends. She’s going to see the scars, feel the brand, and know that there were no repercussions for the man who did that to her.

She desperately wants horrible things to happen to him. She wants him to lay on the ground in a puddle of his own blood, shaking and shivering like she did while she stands above him with a taser. She wants him humiliated, being fed dog food and forced to drool over food that he's sure he can never have. She wants him so badly beaten that he can't move.

But at the same time, she knows she could never do any of that, or even ask someone to do it for her. It would feel wrong to her core. Not even in an "I'm just as bad as him if I hurt him on purpose" way. She's just not someone who can hurt people and get any sort of satisfaction out of it, no matter how much they hurt her. Despite him deserving all of that and more, she's certain she couldn't pull the trigger.

The point is that you want to have worse things happen to Sisko. You're angry that he got off so light? Think he should have some kind of divine punishment for what he did? You want to him to suffer for what he's done? You feel powerless to do anything about it?

Good. Welcome to Avi's world.

11 months of cyberpunk (and one imposter)

I’d been a little nervous about posting this but finally just decided to go for it. I have improved over the year, even if it’s the first tentative forays into modding (or the realization that I could take vertical shots in vanilla if I was willing to tolerate the neck strain) and hoping I can continue to further improve over the coming year.

A big thanks to all of the people I asked for modding advice and who were so encouraging and let me talk their ear off about OCs—y’all are the real inspiration.
