Emilia knew staring at the tube wouldn't make the time fly by faster, but the churning of her stomach and the cold sweat drenching her body has her frozen in place. Russell would be home soon, he likely just finished the last brief with the others and is in his car listening to some old rock tone, smoking a fine cigarette and drumming his fingers against the steering wheel. Two colors determined her future, her and Russell's future, and it scared her. She wasn't scared of many things, she's been through hell and back, but this little thing had her wanting to dig a grave.
"Babe, I'm home!" Russell's smooth voice calls out, breaking her away from her racing thoughts. The sound of the front door shutting and the locks turning had Emilia panicking even more, her eyes never leaving the stick. She hastily grabs the instructions it came with, hands shaking as her eyes skid over line to line, reading the contents for an umpteenth time. A glance at her watch tells her she has only a minute left, and the hard gaze she had on the tube faltered. Oh god, she was going to be sick.
"Mila?" Russell knocks on the bathroom door and Emilia startles, unsure what to do. Let in her husband...or keep this all a secret. 50/50 chance of her life changing, but wasn't she the one who berated Russell for keeping secrets? For lying? She couldn't set herself that low, at least to her own husband.
"Russ..." She starts but trails off, deciding to just show the American. She unlocks the door and opens it, her eyes not meeting Russell's and he knows something is wrong immediately.
"What's wrong?" He asks, pulling her close in an embrace, worried she's having an episode or flashbacks. The effects of the brainwashing methods and debrainwashing still hit Emilia hard, and her memories from her childhood were still resurfacing, some memories better forgotten but still there to burn her.
"Counter." She whispers, and Russell's brows furrow together, eyes sweeping over the sink and landing on an unfolded piece of paper, a familiar box he's seen at pharmacies and certain aisles of the grocery store, and a small tube with liquid in it. His heart leaps in his chest, and a turmoil of emotions hit him, his eyes widening and blood running cold then hot then back to normal. One thing sticks out through it all: He's going to be a dad.
"Hey, why didn't you tell me?" He asks, looking back down at the younger woman, who refuses to meet eye contact with him.
"The past few weeks I...haven't been feeling well, and I was talking to Mason the other day and he recommended this to me. Said it'll work faster than going to a doctor. I don't know if I want to see the results...I don't know if you want this–"
"Hey, Em, look at me. Darling, no matter what happens, I'm here. I'm always going to be here. I love you, Emilia, and I'm never leaving you or our future kid." Russell kisses her softly, rubbing his hands against her back to calm her nerves. "How much longer?"
"Now." Emilia whispers, and Russell nods. They walk closer to the sink, leaning over the counter and staring down at the pregnancy tube. It's a clear, almost white, color, and Russell grabs the box and turns it around, his heart once again leaping. Emilia makes a noise, her eyes widening and the couple share a look before Emilia is crying and wrapping her arms around Russell. Russell lifts her up and slightly swings her around the bathroom, shouts of excitement and happiness echoing off the walls. They don't waste time calling the others, of rapidly talking and yelling at their friends to just come over.
Mason and Woods arrive first, the duo hugging Emilia and exclaiming how happy they are for her. Woods pats Russell on the back and Mason gives him a side hug before threatening him if he ever hurts Emilia or the baby. Hudson and Jenny arrive next, followed by Lazar and Sims. Park is out of the country, but a call to her has her congratulating the couple and promising to stop by with gifts. The family celebrates, and later that night, when everyone is asleep in the guest rooms or living room, and it's only Russell and Emilia, staring at each other lovingly.
"If it's a girl?" Russell asks, and Emilia smiles.
"Persephone. If it's a boy?" She asks, and Russell ponders for a moment before copying her soft smile.
"Phillip."
So yeah, I'm probably going to take consideration that Phillip Graves is Adler's kid, and throwing my OC Bell Emilia into the mix as his mother. This is something short I came up with in the middle of the night, but I'm more than happy to continue this and even make a story and headcanons and all that writing stuff. Just let me know.

*While I am not a huge fan on all this advanced tech/AI/GPT shit, I do appreciate that there are ways to make my OCs come to life, and for someone who can barely draw a stick figure, I think I would be more lenient when it comes to this stuff.* This is from Hotpot AI Art Gen.

Emilia: This Valentine's Day just has to be perfect.
Woods, still in his boxers and robe: Wait, today's Valentine's Day? Shit– I forgot to get Alex something.
Woods, runs out of the house:
Hudson, walking in: Out of all the days, I had to see Frank run out half naked–
Adler, amused: He's also stealing your car.

The Adler Family
Russell Adler [Russell Graves unofficially] was born February 12, 1937. He died on January 08, 2009.
Emilia Emilsdóttir-Adler [Emilia Graves unofficially] was born on December 01, 1961.
Persephone Adler [Priscilla Graves unofficially] was born on June 05, 1985.
Phillip Adler [Phillip Graves officially] was born on April 09, 1987.
The Adler's had to change their last names after the deaths of Alex Mason and Jason Hudson, the severe injuries of Frank Woods, the kidnapping of David Mason, and the known fact that Raul Menendez is alive and still running about, and might be looking for more people to hurt to damage Woods further. They adopted the surname Graves, and while they use it for public settings, any government jobs or issues are under their real surnames.
Phillip is the only one to change his last name as his job was in the Marines and Special Forces, and he would be working close to national security.
Persephone is married so her last name changed to Loya.

Viva la Vida by Coldplay is such a Bell song, especially for one of my Bell's, Erika Novak.
You're so close to feeling complete, you rule the world, you have power and control and it's taken away from you. Revolutionists, the West, they took away that power.
And what happens when you are cornered with nothing left to lose?
Drop a nuke, because you will always rule the world.

I want every single one of you writers to give yourself a pat on the back.
It is hard to make characters, and it's even harder to make characters as realistic as possible because it involves God knows how many hours of research, editing, writing, sharing, and what ever else you do to ensure your character is "perfect" in their own way (perfect being that they *the writer* has achieved to make this character into someone, to put life and a story in them that makes them human and who they are.)
It's hard, I understand that struggle. Despite my love for writing and history, it is hard to make a character precise, especially when it's a character from another country that you aren't familiar with. It involves research and doubt and experience and determination to create characters. It takes years for a writing director or video game dev to make a character, and there may be so many errors in them. But I see how many of you really put time and dedication to make your characters be real people, and it amazes me. Especially when it takes y'all only a few months to maybe a year to complete the backstory of a character. Not many people have these skills, and you should be proud of yourselves.
So give yourself a huge pat on the back or hug or high five, and feel free to reblog and say which character/OC you are proud of and how long it took you to complete the story of this character.

32. Do they have a bad relationship with their parents?
Uh Emilia, Nancy, Lilja, Adison
Whoever you are, fellow anon, you are in for a ride.
Emilia // Probably the saddest backstory for an OC I have ever made. This Bell suffered the hands of her abusive father for 15 years, finally running away a few days before her 16th birthday because this grade-A asshole tried sexually assaulting her. Thankfully, Perseus was a much better father to Emilia then her own real one.
Nancy // No, the Turner Siblings were in great hands with loving parents. As the oldest of two, when Nancy expressed interest in the military, her mother was not hands on. Her father was though, and before his death he encouraged her to join. Her mother soon agreed and supported her children's choice.
Lilja // No. Born in a country that barely gained its independence, only to be conquered once more, Lilja's parents and older siblings were always fighting and on the run. While her parents worked side jobs to have a roof and food, they also were part of secret organizations to fight off Latvia's Russian invaders. This meant that Lilja's older siblings mostly raised her, but nonetheless Lilja loved her family dearly and would do anything to protect them.
Adison // This survivor turned killer definitely did not have a good childhood, her parents were abusive, neglectful, alcoholics, and druggies. Her mother overdosed when she was very young, leaving her in the hands of her abusive father. Her troubled past captured the attention of the Entity, which would watch her and further screw up her life through betrayal and lost.

Emilia Adler
Tumblr media
Emilia straightens out the royal blue tie Russell is wearing, a lovely smile tracing her pink lips as she deems it even enough.
"Ready for our first family photo?" She looks up at him with those beautiful big blue eyes of hers, and Russell feels himself fall in love all over again.
"I want to try out the camera, see if it works fine. How about you pose with Cas?" He suggests and Emilia brightens, nodding eagerly.
"Great idea, my dear. I'll go fetch the baby." Emilia rushes off to get the cat they adopted a few months ago, and warmth blossoms across Russell's chest. His family, his sweet wife, and one of many pets, their first pet – Cassie. He wouldn't trade them for anything else.
