Smile, Simone (OC X Canon Kiss Week 2024)
Word count: 3,6k
Warning: manipulation, mention of death, Kilgrave being a creep
A/n: This is a collab with my partner in crime @jozstankovich for @theocxcanonweek day 5: Getting into trouble. The characters from this story are part of our little Timeline Anomaly Verse (more about them in here) and a crossover of Bad Samaritan and Jessica Jones. Hope you all enjoy it <3
[Masterlist]
Simone had a short walk from her university to the flat, only a few minutes, she stopped to buy herself a hot chocolate and a croissant for her father from his favorite bakery.
Little did she realize, across the street a tall, slender man in a chic purple suit watched her with interest, his dark eyes following her movements as a small grin played at his lips. As she stepped out of the bakery he approached.Â
âHello there,â he drawled, tipping his head slightly in greeting. âI couldnât help but notice how beautiful you are,â he murmured, taking her hand to place a kiss to the back of it.
"Um... thanks," Simone chuckled until she saw him. That face, she knew that face from her nightmares. A man with that face once tormented her father and she knew he died, but in that world full of clones and odd powers, she never knew who was what. "I- bye."
âWaitââ the man exclaimed, a frown creasing the spot between his brows. âDonât go,â he demanded, assured that she would obey.
She couldn't move, she tried to keep walking, but her feet wouldn't obey. "Let me go, please, I have a boyfriend."
The man chuckled. âNot anymore, you donât,â he drawled, holding out his arm for her to take. âLet me take you outâ?â he asked, waiting for her to supply her name.
"Simone, Simone Falco," she said before she could stop herself. His allure did something to her brain and suddenly she took his arm, certain that her boyfriend Dylan, wasn't in her life anymore.
âMmm Simone,â he repeated, savouring the taste of her name on his tongue. âYour name is just as beautiful as you,â he purred, brushing his lips against her temple, inhaling her scent.Â
âYou can call me Kilgrave,â he said, slipping an arm around the small of her back as he began to lead her away from her intended destination. âI think we need to get you some new clothes and then some lunch. I know a wonderful place. Youâll love it,â he said with certainty.
"Y-yeah, I just... need to let my father know I won't come home now, he's expecting me. Can I call him?" She asked quietly, following him to God knows where to do something she didn't even wanna think about.
Kilgrave frowned as he deliberated. âI suppose thatâs alright, darling,â he finally answered, pulling her phone out of her pocket. âBut youâll only say what I tell you to say,â he instructed.Â
"Yes," she dialed, trusting that her dad would know something was wrong and check her location, which was always on. "What should I say?"
âTell him, youâre staying with a friend for a few days, that youâll be at a mind/body retreat and you wonât have access to your phone,â Kilgrave said, walking at a leisurely pace, leading her to his waiting town car.
Simone nodded and dialed her dad's number, but the person who picked up was her mother. Â
"Hey, Moony. Daddy's in the shower, do you need anything?" Blossom asked. Â
"Yes, can I talk to him please?" She kept her voice calm, or tried. Â
"Okay... Sean! Simone is on the phone, she sounds dead weird!"
Sean frowned, quickly twisting the water off and grabbing his towel, wrapping it around his waist and taking the phone, bringing it to his ear. âMoony, itâs me. You okay, darlinâ?â He asked, his hair dripping down his shoulders.
"Yeah, Daddy, I'm okay. I just called to let you know I won't be home in time," she put on a smile, trying very hard not to cry. "I'll be with a friend in a spiritual retreat and I won't be able to use my phone there for a few days. Just didn't want you to worry."
âWhat dâyeh mean? What friend?â Sean demanded, his unease growing. âWhy donât you come home and we can talk about this, you can give us more details,â he pleaded, not liking the way her voice trembled. âWhere are you?â He asked, his chest growing tight.
"My friend... Ellery," Simone said the name of her cousin, this way he could easily call her and disprove this story. "Sorry, Daddy, I'm late, I really have to get going. I'm on my way there."
"Wait--! Simone!" Sean cried, but she'd already hung up. "Blossom! Something's wrong!" he called, trying to call Ellery, though his hands were shaking too much for him to dial the number.Â
"Oh my God... what number are you trying to call? Ellery?" Blossom took the phone to dial for him. "What happened to Simone?"
"Yeah," Sean said, handing her the phone, running his hand through his wet curls. "You were right, she didn't sound right," he said. "She said she was going on a spiritual retreat with Ellery and wouldn't be able to answer her phone. She sounded scared. I think she was taken," he said, his voice shaking as much as his hands.Â
"This is bollocks, she can't spend a day without her phone," Blossom called her niece. "Ellery! Ellery, are you with Simone right now?"Â Â
"No," the girl answered, giving her twin brother a confused look. "Charlie and I are buying Valentine's presents."Â
"Did she ever mention a spiritual retreat to you? Somewhere she couldn't take her phone to?"Â Â
"No... is everything alright? Just stay there, we're on our way."Â Â
*****
"Good girl," Kilgrave said, stroking Simone's hair before taking her phone from her hand and dropping it to the ground in the middle of the street before pulling her into the car with him and shutting the door, telling the driver where to take them.
"I- That's my phone!" She cried, she hated to be that helpless and now nobody would be able to track her. "All my father's voice-mails are there, I need them!"
"You don't need them," Kilgrave said offhandedly, annoyed at her outburst. "I'll make sure you have everything you need, love," he assured her, pulling her to his side, his hand running up and down her arm.
"What are you gonna do to me? You say buying clothes and having lunch. What are you really planning?" Simone asked, surprised that the driver seemed hypnotized as well.
"Darling, you're with me now," he said, chuckling lightly. "I just want to lavish you, make you mine," he explained, taking her chin in his hand to turn her face toward his to kiss her.
Simone tried to pull away, but she didn't know where to run, she was stuck in the car. "Have you ever considered... I don't know, asking someone out without forcing them? You're not bad looking, I'm sure many women would be happy to go out with you."
Kilgrave clicked his tongue with a shake of his head, as if the girl had just said something foolish. âBut I donât want just any woman. I want you. Are you saying that you wouldâve said yes, if Iâd have simply asked you?â He asked.
"Maybe... well not really. I had a boyfriend, and you look like the man who tried to kill my dad. But I'm sure a much more beautiful girl would've said yes," she mumbled.
âWhat do you mean, a more beautiful girl?â He drawled, frowning at her comment. âYou are beautiful, Simone. More gorgeous than you realize. I want you to tell me that youâre beautiful,â he purred.
"I am beautiful," she repeated, unable to resist his order. It wasn't hard to understand he had the power of persuasion.Â
"Good girl," Kilgrave murmured, stroking her cheek. "Ah, we're here," he said, as the car pulled up to the curb in front of Bloomingdale's.
*****
Sean hastily dried off, pulling his clothes on distractedly. "Should we call the police?" he asked, hating how helpless he felt.Â
"We need to know where she is first and sending cops might spook whoever has her and they might hurt her," Blossom started dialing to call her sister-in-law, Alisha. "We're a superpowered family, we've all killed to protect each other."Â Â
He nodded, feeling numb. He was the only one without a power, there wasnât anything he could do at the moment except trust his wife. âÂ
"Alisha, we need a little help, can you find Simone for us?" Blossom asked while she opened the door for her niece and nephew. Â
"I... she's in a car, there's a man with her. Purple suit, looks posh," Alisha said, using her clairvoyance to see through her niece's eyes. "I don't know exactly where they are though."Â Â
âOkay, keep checking in and let us know if you recognize anything,â Sean said, leaning in over his wifeâs shoulder.
"Okay, I'll call you if I see anything," Alisha confirmed. Â
"We have all possible powers to save her," Ellery pulled her brother inside. "Where are we going?"Â Â
"We don't know where she is yet," Sean answered, fighting the urge to pace. "Alisha said she's in a car right now."Â
"In a car with a man she doesn't know," Blossom started crying just as her husband's phone started ringing. Sean pulled her into his arms, his jaw flexing as he fought not to break down as well, knowing he needed to be strong for her. "Does she know where Simone is?" he asked, his voice tense.Â
"Hi, Aunt Lisha, any news?" Ellery quickly grabbed her uncle's phone.
"They just stopped at Bloomingdale's, I don't know which one exactly, but it looks like 5th Avenue, it's right in front of the Bank of America."Â Â
"Bloomingdale's 5th Avenue, c'mon, let's go!" Charlie exclaimed, already heading for the door.
"We need a cab," Ellery stepped outside and rushed down the stairs. The rest of them followed and they all ran to the intersection with the 8th Avenue to hail a cab. The drive would be ten minutes if they were lucky to avoid traffic, which in New York was basically impossible.
âHopefully theyâll still be there,â Charlie murmured, his leg bouncing anxiously.
*****
"Why do I need new clothes?" Simone asked calmly, almost in a docile way. "These are pretty expensive..."
"Why not?" Kilgrave said, waiting for the driver to open his door. "Come," he instructed, holding out his hand for her as he waited on the curb.Â
"Do I need an excuse to spoil my girl?" he chuckled. "You deserve only the best," he explained.
"T-thank you," Simone took his hand and locked arms with him as they entered the store. She wasn't dressed exactly nicely and felt really out of place. She wore leggings and one of her dad's shirts since, at uni, they were doing nature shots.
âAh, what about this? This colour would look beautiful on you,â Kilgrave said, picking out a sleek purple dress. âGo on, try it on, and Iâll pick out some shoes for you,â he said, stroking her cheek fondly.
"Okay," she took it and went into one of the dressing rooms. She wanted to cry, but feared that it would upset her new captor and he might do something worse. She put on the dress and opened the door to show him how it looked.
"Ohh, don't you look like a vision!" Kilgrave exclaimed, moving closer to get a better look. "Here, try these on, you'll look perfect," he said, handing her some strappy heels.
Simone nodded and quickly put the shoes on, which made her stand as tall as him. "I don't usually wear heels," she admitted.
"You should, they make your legs look so graceful," he said, picking out a luxurious long fur coat and draping it over her shoulders. "There, all set," he decided, taking her hand and leading her back out of the store.Â
"Hey! You can't leave without paying for those!" One of the shopkeepers exclaimed, hurrying after them.Â
"You're going to give them to us, free of charge," Kilgrave snapped, waving the woman away, leaving her bewildered. "Are you hungry?" he asked Simone, turning his attention back to her as they stepped back out onto the crowded sidewalk, his car waiting for them.
I'm wearing the skin of a dead animal on my back and I technically just stole all of this... Simone thought, panicked. Â
"Yeah, I haven't eaten today," she said, despite how nauseous she was from the whole semi-kidnapping experience. She anxiously looked around to see if she could find any familiar faces, but the entire world felt like a strange place at that moment.
"There she is!" Sean cried, spotting his daughter's face amidst the sea of people. Jumping out of the cab before it came to a complete stop, he ran toward her, trying to push his way through the crowd. "Simone!" he exclaimed, trying to get her attention.
"Daddy?" She cried, the knot in her chest tightening when she saw how worried he seemed. She wanted to run into his arms and never let go. Â
"Simone! Come here! What are you wearing?" Blossom followed her husband out. "You! Let go of my daughter right now! Get away from her!"
âAh, looks like thatâs our cue to leave,â Kilgrave muttered, turning Simoneâs face away from her parents and stealing a sloppy kiss before sweeping her back into the back of his sleek black car. âDriver, take us to Nearyâs,â he instructed, slamming the door shut and wiggling his fingers in a little wave just as Sean and Blossom reached the car.
Simone fought the urge to cry again, her head hanging low. She was so close to being able to run away... she knew she wasn't the first girl to fall into Kilgrave's trap, she wondered where the others were. Were they stuck in a harem or even worse?
"Did you see him? Cale Erendreich doppelganger... he kissed her! She didn't pull away, she didn't fight it," Blossom panted, she was not as fast as she used to be when she was younger.Â
âThere has to be an explanation,â Sean exclaimed, his chest hurting. Heâd seen the fear on his daughterâs face as the car pulled away.Â
âUncle Sean! We know where heâs going!â Charlie exclaimed, running to catch up. âAunt Lisha called. She knows where heâs taking her!â
"They're going to Neary's, five minutes away," Ellery hailed another cab for them. If it was just her and her brother they could run, but their uncle was pushing 60. Â
"Let's go, let's go!" Blossom rushed into the car.
*****
âWhatâs the matter, dearest?â Kilgrave asked, tilting his head to peer at Simoneâs face. âDonât tell me youâre upset?â
"I just... got startled," she said shaking her head, she looked up at him and tried to smile.
He smiled back, giving her hand a squeeze before pressing a kiss to the back of it. The drive to the restaurant wasn't long and once they parked, Kilgrave helped Simone out, leading her into the building.Â
"Do you have a reservation?" The hostess asked, looking between the two of them.Â
"Yes, we're renting out the whole place. Tell everyone else to leave," Kilgrave commanded and the hostess nodded.Â
"You can all leave!" He exclaimed, raising his voice to infect the other diners and they all got up, leaving their food half touched as they left. "There, shall we?" he asked, leading Simone over to his usual corner booth.
She sat down and glanced at the menu, the food smelled and sounded delicious, but how could she eat in that situation? She could always... accept it, she'd live her life like this and maybe it wouldn't be so bad? It wasn't what she wanted, but if he treated her the way she had been so far... maybe he wouldn't kill her. Maybe she could visit her family and smile while saying everything was fine. Â
"Can I order what I want or will you order for me?" She asked, genuinely curious. "Cause if I can choose I'd like the broiled chicken with potatoes."
"Of course, you can have whatever you like," Kilgrave exclaimed, leaning back in the booth, his arm resting behind Simone's shoulders.Â
By the time Sean, Blossom, Ellery, and Charlie arrived at the restaurant, the other diners were all filing out.Â
"That's strange, where are they all going?" Charlie wondered.
"Doesn't seem like anything is wrong in there," Ellery looked inside and found her cousin sitting in a corner. Â
"Simone!" Blossom called. "Simone, please! If you actually want to be here, tell us!"Â Â
"I want to be here," she said after Kilgrave whispered the command in her ear.
âIf you try to escape, youâll jump off the Queensboro Bridge,â Kilgrave hissed in Simoneâs ear, taking a bite of his steak, seemingly unbothered.Â
âLook, he just said something to her before she spoke,â Charlie whispered, noticing the way the man leaned in. âIf he has the power of persuasion, then maybe I can use it against him,â he suggested.
"Good one, Charlie," Ellery nudged her brother's arm.
"Let my daughter go, right now! I'm not above killing you, you bastard!" Blossom charged into the restaurant. "She's old enough to be your daughter!"Â Â
Kilgrave spread his hands innocently. "I'm afraid you're mistaken, she told you already, she wants to be here."Â
"Then why does she look so terrified?" Sean exclaimed, hating the way his hands shook as he looked at the man who looked so much like the ghost from his past.Â
"I can't leave, Mum," Simone cried. "I just can't."Â Â
"You can do anything, you have a superpower. You're really gonna let some middle-aged man tell you what you can or can't do?" Ellery whispered to her. "No matter what happens, you're safe."Â
"Come on, let's call Dylan," Blossom took her daughter's hand, but once she got up, the girl ran away towards the bridge to fulfill Kilgrave's request.
âSimone?!â Sean exclaimed, his eyes widening in fear as she raced past him out the restaurant door. âSIMONE!â he called, taking off after her without another thought.Â
While his uncle ran after Simone, Charlie rounded on Kilgrave. âWhat did you make her do?â He demanded.Â
Kilgrave shrugged. âShe was the one who chose to run. If sheâd rather jump off the bridge than stay with me, thatâs her prerogative, I suppose.â He sighed, pinching the bridge of his aquiline nose. âAnd here I thought we could be happy together.â
"You're sick!" Ellery screamed while Blossom ran out to follow her daughter as well. "Man, you're not ugly enough to be that desperate, find someone who can love you for real."Â Â
âIs that an offer?â Kilgrave asked, flashing Ellery a grin. "Seems beauty runs in the family..."
Before the man could control his twin, Charlie frowned, drawing on his own power. He could feel the vibration of Kilgraveâs power pulling at him and he reached out with his mind, borrowing his ability.Â
âHey,â he said, drawing the manâs attention. âForget all about us. Forget about your power. Donât use it for bad,â he commanded.
"Let's get out of here," Ellery took her brother's arm. "Hope he learns his lesson. He definitely knows how to treat a lady, he just needs to find one that wants to be with him."
Charlie nodded, letting his sister pull him out of the restaurant and they ran to join their uncle and aunt.
*****
"Simone!" Blossom ran, catching up to them just as she climbed to jump. She looked back at her mum and dad and smiled, her cousin's words made her very confident.Â
âMoony, whatâre you doing? Please come down!â Sean cried, his heart twisting in his chest as he held onto his wife. âWe can fix this! Please donât jump!â Â
"Sean... it's alright," Blossom understood her plan, she had done it before with the power she passed down to her daughter.Â
"See you in a second, don't worry about me," Simone waved and let go, falling as if she were diving into a pool.Â
To stop herself from hitting the water, she covered her own body in a force field and emerged back to the bridge covered in a thin blue-ish bubble. Â
As soon as Simone emerged, protected in her bubble, Sean let out a relieved gasp, his arms tightening around his wife. âOh thank God sheâs okay,â he cried, his eyes burning with unshed tears.Â
Simone ran into her parents' arms and sighed. She didn't even realize she was still wearing the outfit that was picked out for her. Â
"We should probably return these stuff to Bloomingdale's, right?" She asked.Â
"But the dress is cute..." Ellery joked. "He won't be bothering you again."
"Yeah, I made sure of that," Charlie assured her, joining the others in embracing her.Â
"Thank you, Cha-Charlie," Sean murmured, ruffling his nephew's curls. "I'm so fuckin' glad you all have those damn powers," he sighed, kissing the top of Simone's head.
"Thank you for coming for me," she looked lovingly at her cousins and her mother, then turned and placed a kiss on her father's cheek. "You're a hero too, Daddy."
Sean shook his head. "I was so helpless," he murmured, squeezing her tighter.
"Not all heroes have powers, some just are really amazing dads," she held his hand as they walked back to the store. "You weren't hopeless, you didn't give up. I called you because I knew you'd know something was wrong and come help, and you did."
"Of course, I'd never give up on you, darlin'," Sean breathed.

Donât Kiss My Daddy

an oc x oc collaboration between @seanfalcoââ & @super-unpredictable98ââââ for @ockissweekâ
Word Count: 3.9k Tags/Warnings: Lots of cuteness, a continuation of Fancy Restaurant Featuring: Sean & Blossom Falco and their daughter, Simone, as well as the Quadâs twins, Charlie & Ellery.
[ masterlist ]
"Hey, Moony! Yâknow who's cominâ tomorrow tâspend the weekend with us?" Blossom asked excitedly as she walked into the flat and dropped her bag, joining her daughter and husband on the couch.Â
"Charlie and Ellie!" Simone cheered.Â
"That's right! We can set up a fort in the living room so the three of you can sleep here, we'll eat junk food and stay up late watching movies, it's gonna be so much fun!"
"Sounds like a blast!" Sean exclaimed. "You're one lucky kid," he chuckled, tousling Simone's hair.
"I miss them, they live too far away most of the time," Simone murmured.Â
"They miss you too, baby, and they miss their uncle Sean!" Blossom ran her fingers through his hair. "I think they mentioned something about Time Out Market, they also wanna go to drag queen story hour at the Lincoln Center. I haven't been there since I was a girl taking those classes at SAB."
"What's a Time Out Market?" Sean asked quietly.
"And you've lived in New York for decades... â Blossom murmured, shaking her head in amusement. âItâs that market next to the Brooklyn Bridge, those cute restaurants with a view of the East River? We went there for our tenth anniversary or something," she answered, trying to remember. "Then we went to Jane's Carousel."
"Oh, I thought it was a game the kids made up or somethin'," Sean chuckled ruefully. "I may live here, but I'll never be a New Yorker."
"I know, you're Irish to the bone, I love that about you," Blossom said, looking down at her wedding ring, a Claddagh ring. "I don't really feel like a New Yorker either, I'm so British I'm still angry about the tea in Boston."
Sean snorted. "Coulda fooled me," he teased, leaning in to peck Blossom on the lips.
Simone watched the scene unfold with a pout. "I'm going to my room," she announced with a little huff, suddenly jumping from the couch and marching to her bed. Blossom exchanged a confused look with her husband.Â
"What's gotten into her?"
"That's strange," Sean murmured, frowning. "I'll go talk t'her."Â
When he got to her bedroom, he found the door slightly ajar and he knocked before pushing it open further, peeking his head inside. "Hey Moony, mind if I come in?â
"No... I suppose" Simone finally agreed, turning her head and folding her little arms in front of her chest, very much like her mum when she was upset.
Joining her on the bed, Sean craned his head to catch her eye. "What's wrong, darlin'? What's with th'long face?"
"Nothing... my face is normal," Simone insisted. "I just... nothing."
"You can talk t'me, dearest," he assured her, pulling her into his lap.
"I don't want you and Mommy to kiss," she whispered.
Sean had to fight back a snort of laughter, glad that she couldn't see his face. "How come, love?" he asked instead, tucking her hair behind her ear.
"Youâre my Daddy and Mommy is my Mommy, I don't like it when you kiss, you should only kiss me!" Simone whined, hiding against his chest.
"Oh darlin'!" Sean exclaimed, rubbing her back as she hugged him. "Are y'sayin' it makes you feel jealous when Mummy and Daddy kiss?" he asked, glancing over to see Blossom standing outside the door.
"Yeah! It makes me angry," she mumbled.Â
"Hey, sweetie," Blossom cooed, joining them. "We're really sorry you're upset, but yâknow Mummy and Daddy are married right? Usually married couples like tâkiss and hug and cuddle... one day when you're married you'll wanna do all of that."Â
"I'm not! I'm marrying Daddy!" Simone exclaimed, squeezing him tighter possessively.Â
"But honey, Daddy's already married to me."Â
"Uncle Nate and Uncle Nats are married to both my aunties,â the little girl pointed out, knowing all about polyamory from a young age.
If not for how seriously his daughter was taking it, Sean would have laughed. âHoney, daughters canât marry their daddies, itâs not allowed, but you will always be my special girl,â he reassured her gently.
"Oh..." Simone was hearing that information for the first time and she certainly had some bad news to deliver to her friends, who had the same dream, at school the next day. "But I still don't like it!"Â
"You wanna hear a secret?" Blossom asked, taking her little hands in hers. "I was very jealous of my daddy and my brother growing up. I didn't like when Grandpa and Grandma kissed, I didn't like it when Uncle Simon had his first girlfriend... but I wanted them tâbe happy."
âEven your uncles were jealous of me,â Sean added, very carefully avoiding Blossomâs eyes.
"Oh yeah! When I started dating Daddy, your uncles were flipping out," Blossom laughed, âbut they knew Daddy made me happy."Â
"I do want you to be happy..." Simone sighed reluctantly.
âYouâre a good girl, Moony,â Sean said, giving her a squeeze. âWhen you get older, youâll find thâone for you.â
"Thatâs true and we have plenty of kisses for you as well, don't we?" Blossom tickled her sides before kissing the top of her head. "Love is meant tâbe shared."
âIâll always love yeh, darlinâ,â Sean murmured, kissing the top of her head.
The next day, Blossom decided not to send Simone to school, leting her sleep in a bit, and started making breakfast for everyone, including her niece and nephew arriving soon. "Good morning, sweetheart," she smiled when Sean left the room.
âGood morning, darlinâ,â he replied, pulling her in for a kiss. âSomethinâ smells good.â
"Thank you, I made loads of bacon, hash browns, scrambled eggs with cheese, and toast for the small army," Blossom grinned. "So... how are we gonna deal with the whole Moony thing? Dâyou think she's still bothered?"
Sean sighed, glancing at the door to her bedroom. âI dunno, she seemed a little put out about it still when we put her tâbed. Hopefully her cousinsâ beinâ hereâll help her get past it.â
"I don't really remember what my parents did with me, it just stopped bothering me as time passed," Blossom mused as she served his plate. "I want her to grow up surrounded by love and I don't wanna have tâhide to kiss you."
âI guess thâbest thing tâdo is just⊠make it more normal,â Sean replied, grinning as he picked up a piece of bacon.
"Smells so good."Â Simone murmured, opening her bedroom door to stumble out, still half asleep, still wearing her pajamas. "Are they here yet?"Â
"No, baby, but they will be soon," Lydia nodded at Sean. "Let me get you some breakfast."
âCâmere, why donâtcha sit next tâme, huh?â Sean said, lifting his daughter into the seat next to him. âSomeone looks sleepy still,â he teased gently as she rubbed at her eyes.
"I had bad dreams," she yawned before taking a bite of her toast. "Why didn't you come sleep with Mummy and Daddy? We always keep the nightmares away," Blossom said, sitting to eat as well.Â
"Because Elly told me after Mummy and Daddy put their kids to bed they just kiss all night and do special cuddles. I didn't wanna see it or get in the way," she said, which nearly made her mum lose it and laugh.
Sean had to bite his lip to keep from laughing as well, sharing a look with Blossom. âI suppose thatâs true sometimes,â he said, clearing his throat, âbut youâd never be in thâway, darlinâ. Weâre always here for yeh if yâneed us,â he assured her.
"That's true, usually when mummies and daddies do that, they lock the door. You can always knock and we'll help you no matter what, nothing is more important than you," Blossom assured her.Â
"Okay, next time I'll knock, but I'll sleep in the middle, just in case," Simone said.
âGood,â Sean said, flashing her a grin and digging into his food. It wasnât long after when the doorbell buzzed. âThatâll be your cousins no doubt,â he exclaimed.
"Let's see... who do we have here?" Blossom opened the door and was attacked by the two children who jumped into her arms. "Oh my God!" she cried through her laughter.
"Thank you so much for taking them, we just really need some romantic time," Lydia grinned, barely able to contain her excitement.
"Yeah, I'm sure y'do. Heard all about the special cuddles you're gunna do," Sean teased.
"Nate was the one who told Elly adults do special cuddles... she kept asking to join when he invited me for cuddles, tryinâ to steal me away," Lydia laughed while the kids were distracted by their aunt and cousin.Â
"Come here, we've got food," Simone pulled the twins by the hand.Â
"If they need us, we'll be only a block away," Nate said, handing Sean Ellery's inhaler. "But try t'make sure they don't need us.
"No problem," Sean exclaimed, watching the children join Simone at the table. "You guys have fun."
"Thank you so much, see you guys on Monday!" Lydia waved and blew a kiss at the children, "We love you, make sure to be good."Â
"We will," Elly said, paying very little attention to her mum.Â
"Charlie, what if we did for Uncle Sean and Auntie Blossom a romantic night like we did for our mummies and daddies? Wouldn't it be fun?"
"Bye Mummy and Dada!" Charles called before returning his attention to his sister. "Yeah! Maybe Simmi will help us!" he suggested.
"Why do you wanna do that?" Simone asked.Â
"Because we like t'watch âem bein' romantic, it's so cracker!" Ellery exclaimed.Â
"Between Louise and the boys, she sounds well Irish," Blossom whispered to her husband. "It's adorable."
"Whereas Moony sounds like an American," Sean teased.
"Do you think there's still time to fix that?" Blossom shook her head with a dramatic sigh. "Maybe if we make her watch loads of Paddington," she mused.
"Maybe we need t'spend some time in England," Sean suggested with a grin.
"Yeah, it feels nice t'see how much they love each other," Charlie added.Â
"I don't like it when my mummy and daddy show they love each other!" Simone huffed.Â
"Why not?" Elly asked.Â
"Because... theyâre only supposed to love me."Â
"But they have to love each other," Charlie frowned. "If they didn't love each other, then they wouldn't stay together," he reasoned.Â
"We're waiting on that audition result, aren't we?" Blossom said. "I passed on to the callbacks, so maybe there's a chance.â
"I can't believe they wouldn't choose you. They'd be daft not to," Sean said, pulling Blossom into his arms.
"I really hope so, it was so much fun to be in Beetlejuice back in the day," Blossom sighed. "I might not be a Lydia Deetz anymore, but I'll gladly be the kookiest Delia ever."
"Oh, I know y'will. You're a right natural kook," Sean teased, quickly avoiding her answering poke.
"D'you want your parents to dissolve?" Ellery gasped.Â
"It's divorce, sweetie, and nobody is getting divorced," Blossom assured them, finally catching a bit of what the three were talking about amongst themselves.
"No, I want them to stay together forever!" Simone cried.
"Then y'gotta make sure they have some romance!" Charlie exclaimed.Â
"O-okay, I guess we could," Simone agreed. "How do we do this?"Â
"First we make the room all romantic, then we make them dinner," Ellery explained.Â
"Yeah, we're pretty good at it," Charlie boasted. âWe did it for our parents too.â
"What if we make mac and cheese with nuggets? I know how," Simone said excitedly.Â
âWow! Thatâs more intense than what we made! Mama doesnât let us use the stove,â Charlie replied.
"F-U-C-K you! I remember when you used to be romantic!" Blossom laughed, chasing after her husband as he hurried away from her. "A kook? You're the kook!"
âWatch out kids, your Aunt Blossomâs gone kooky!â he exclaimed playfully.
"I usually make it on the microwave and I ask a grown up to take the nuggets from the oven, but I think we can do it," Simone said, laughing when she saw her parents chasing each other around.Â
"Sean Falco! You are the absolute worst!" Blossom shouted, finally able to cling to his back like a koala. "Maybe you don't wanna have special cuddles with a kook like me... after the kids go to bed, I'll go straight to sleep," she whispered in his ear.
Charlie turned to gape at the adults as they ran past. âElly, itâs even worse than we thought!â he hissed. âAunt Blossom doesnât wanna have special cuddles with Uncle Sean!âÂ
Sean laughed, turning to look at her over his shoulder. âOh, but didnât yâknow? Youâre married to thâbiggest kook of all!â he exclaimed.
"Do you think they don't wanna have special cuddles because of what I said? I said I don't like it when they kiss," Simone frowned.Â
"I don't know... I think you'll have to convince me later tonight. I know how persuasive you are," Blossom purred, slipping off his back to embrace him.Â
âOh l can be very persuasive,â Sean whispered back.Â
"We'll fix it, don't worry, it'll be grand," Ellery said decidedly, finishing her breakfast and jumped from her chair. "You two, tonight we're gonna make you a romantic night and you're gonna smoochy kiss!"
âOh?â Sean asked, turning to look at his niece. âThat sounds nice, darlinâ. Did yâdo that for your parents as well?â he asked.
"We did and they even slow danced!" Ellery announced proudly.Â
"And Moony's okay with the smooches?" Blossom asked, running her fingers through her husband's curls, slowly but surely going gray, which was quite sexy.Â
"Yes, mummy, I want you two to be together," Simone nodded.
Sean couldn't help but grin, turning to share a look with Blossom. "Well that sounds perfect. Our evenin' is in your capable little hands," he said, crouching down and opening his arms for the kids to hug him.
"Leave it to us," Elly exclaimed, wrapping her arms around him. "You'll have so much fun."
"We have complete trust in yeh."Â
"Good!" Charlie giggled, joining in on the hug.
After playing all day while Blossom worked and Sean edited from home, the kids pushed the couple into their bedroom. "Pick a nice outfit, it's a posh date," Ellery instructed as Charlie and Simone were already working on getting the nuggets in the oven.
"Yes, ma'am," Sean replied, chuckling as he went to the closet.
"Things are going swimmingly, if I do say so m'self," Charlie exclaimed, dusting his hands off as he set the timer on the stove.
"Y'sound like Daddy," Ellery laughed as she set the table.
"This is actually fun," Simone grinned, mixing the pasta that was pre-made and frozen with the cheese and milk before putting it on the microwave.
Charlie giggled even harder, glad to be compared to their fathers. âIâm glad youâre having fun, Simmi!â he exclaimed.
"I hope it makes them happy too," Simone said, taking the bowl from the microwave to stir before putting it back for another couple of minutes. "What should we do for dessert? And what are they gonna drink?"
"Hmm... we could make th'same dessert we made for our parents, unless y'wanna do something different," Charlie suggested.
"I think it's good, can y'make it, Charlie?" Elly asked. "Conjure the ingredients if they don't have âem."Â
"They should drink beer, Mommy gets really happy when Daddy drinks beer," Simone suggested.Â
"That's weird, our Mummy too," Ellery laughed.
Charlie nodded, opening the cupboards to see if they had what he needed, and getting to work.
"Mac and cheese is ready," Simone announced, serving a portion on each plate.Â
"Nuggets too," Ellery added, turning off the oven like she watched her mothers do millions of times. Instead of risking a burn, she created a field around the tray and lifted it to the counter.
"I'm ready too!" Charlie exclaimed, hoisting the tray of dessert sandwiches to the table. "I'm so excited t'make Uncle Sean and Aunt Blossom smoochy kiss!"
"Can I help y'pick out what you're gunna wear?" Sean asked Blossom.Â
"Yes, please," Blossom slowly undressed while he picked something for her. "I'm not saying anything but... you look so hot in that light blue button-up with the dark slacks."Â
âSay no more,â Sean murmured, pulling out the outfit sheâd mentioned before selecting one for herâa purple cocktail dress with sequins that glittered.
"Oh, looks like the dress I wore for my eighteenth birthday party... the night you took my virginity, remember? The first half anyway," Blossom purred as she put the dress on. "I was going insane waiting for you to shag me, you made me wait so long."
"How could I forget?" Sean replied, brushing her hair over her shoulder so he could kiss it. "You were so eager, it made it so hard for me t'hold back," he mused.Â
"I was a hormonal teenager, what did you expect?" Blossom laughed, as if that had changed.
âYouâre just as enthusiastic as you ever were,â Sean chuckled, buttoning up his shirt.
"I would guess you're thankful for that. I love you so much," Blossom turned so he could zip up her dress.
"I love yeh too, darlin'," Sean murmured, stealing a quick kiss. "Y'ready t'experience some romance?" he teased, opening the door.
"I am so ready! Are you ready for us?" Blossom asked, peeking out the door.Â
"Yes, ma'am, please follow me," Ellery exclaimed, guiding them to the table. She had no idea how many times her own parents had shared that very same table.
"Why thank you," Sean said, taking his seat and unfolding his napkin in his lap. "This all looks amazin'," he exclaimed, gesturing to the food and ambiance around them. You kids did a fantastic job."
"Thank you! We hope you like the food," Simone smiled, for once excited to see them have a moment like that. "You both look very nice."Â
"Weâll give you some privacy..." Ellery winked, planning on watching from her cousin's room.Â
"Thanks, babies, we really appreciate it," Blossom nodded.
Sean caught Simone before she could pass, pulling her into his arms to kiss her forehead. "Thank you so much for this, baby. I love yeh so much," he whispered before setting her back down.
"I love you too, Daddy," Simone felt her chest tighten with a feeling she didn't know yet, but she was proud of herself and her cousins.Â
"Can you believe them? This is so cute," Blossom said before taking a bite of her mac and cheese. "Hmmm I wonder who taught her how to make this..."
âPretty sure sheâs learned from thâbest,â Sean said with a grin, popping one of the nuggets into his mouth.
"You are the most handsome man in the world, I really hope I get the job so I can spend more time looking at your beautiful face," Blossom murmured. "Can you imagine? No more late night grading, no more early mornings running to work."Â Â
"Is that th'only reason you want th'part?" Sean laughed, offering her a nugget next.
"I miss being on stage," Blossom admitted. "As rewarding as it is to prepare hundreds of kids to live their dream, I kinda forgot about what my dream was."Â
"Then let's find it again," Sean murmured, taking her hand and bringing it to his lips. "Plus I'll never complain about havin' you around more," he mused, cracking open the can of beer with one hand and taking a long drink for her benefit.
"The children are watching..." Blossom whispered with a giggle, stealing a kiss. "Don't tease me too much or I won't be held responsible for my actions, sexy."
"That's no fun," Sean drawled, leaning in to chase her lips. "Shall I wait til they go t'sleep then?" he asked, chuckling softly.Â
"I can take a little teasing, but save the big guns for after bedtime," Blossom laughed, scooting her chair closer to him.Â
"You got it, Mrs. Falco," Sean murmured.Â
"Fuck, you're getting more charming with age," Blossom breathed.Â
"It's a gift," he grinned, finally pulling back, not trusting himself not to take it too far. "You ready for dessert?" he asked, picking up one of the sandwiches Charlie had made.
"Y-yeah," Blossom tried to shake off the warmth that threatened to take over and took a bite of her sandwich. "Really good," she said, not noticing how messy her face was with chocolate.
Sean let out a soft chuckle, reaching out to wipe her lip. "Now you're startin' t'look like Nathan," he teased.
"Hey! I spent a lot of time with them growing up," Blossom laughed. "It was fun when Lyds and Win would go to work and we had eating contests. I always lost, but it was a good time. One time I finished a jar of nutella in three minutes, too bad Nats finished in two."
Sean shook his head fondly. "Should we go check on th'kids?"
"Yeah, they shut the door..." Blossom was about to stand up when she decided to steal another kiss. "Okay, now we can go."
"It's working! They look really happy,â Charlie cried in a hushed voice as he peered around the door, holding Simoneâs hand.
"See? It's nice to see them enjoyin' themselves," Ellie clapped quietly. "Yeah, I guess they can love each other and love me," Simone finally concluded.
"Yeah, and we love you too!" Charlie exclaimed, pulling both girls into a fierce hug.
"I love you guys," Simone sighed, hugging them back.
"You don't have to watch them smoochy kiss, yâknow," Ellery said, offering to hide her cousin's eyes as the adults leaned in.
"No, it's okay. Iâll get used to it," Simone nodded, determined to make it work.
Charlie patted Simone. "How about we play in the blanket fort?"
"Yes! I have legos, we can build a city," Simone shut the door and ran to the fort her mum helped set up.
"Hey kiddos," Sean said, knocking on the door before pushing it open. "Whatcha up to in here?"Â
"Playin' with legos," Charlie answered, looking up as the adults entered.
"We have a city," Simone pointed at the buildings and houses.Â
"Whatcha up to out there?" Ellery asked in a teasing voice.Â
"The food was very nice and we're having a very good time, but we were worried about you," Blossom countered. "Quiet kids aren't usually a good sign."
"What d'yeh mean? We're always good!" Charlie exclaimed, planting his hands on his hips as he looked up at Blossom.
"But you're usually loud, like most little kids."Â
"We didn't wanna ruin the romance." Simone explained.
"Aww darlin', you're th'sweetest," Sean murmured.
"It's a little early for bedtime and it's Friday, so... how âbout this, you kids can keep playing and watching TV, we're gonna watch a movie in the living room and have a cuddle. If you need anything, just call," Blossom suggested, kissing each of the kids on the forehead.Â
"Don't worry! Go smooch on the couch," Ellery giggled.
"D'hear that, Blossom? I want some special cuddles," Sean whispered, wrapping his arm around her waist. "If you kids need anythin', just give a shout," he said, winking at Simone.
"Okay, Daddy," the little girl winked back before getting up to turn her own TV on.Â
"Special cuddles sound amazing, we still got some beer left," Blossom whispered back, letting him drag her away from their kid's bedroom. "Wanna put a movie on and not watch it?"
"Sounds perfect."

I. An Introduction to Society

The Perfect Match    â A Timeline Anomaly Bridgerton!AU by @seanfalcoâ & @super-unpredictable98â
Dear Gentle Reader, Another social season is upon us and Miss Blossom Bellamy, this yearâs potential Diamond, has just entered society in a much a more gracious manner than her elder sister Lydia, who has rebuked all suitors since her debut and is quickly on the way to spinsterhood, along with her closest friend Winrey Lewis. However, when not one, but three eligible young gentlemen rejoin the ton after years of being away, the social scene is certain to be turned on itâs head. Let the race to find the perfect match begin!
â„ Word Count: 4.9k â„ Tags/Warnings: Nathan Young x oc, Sean Falco x oc, Regency AU â„ a/n: Flor & I were in the midst of rewatching Bridgerton again, when we decided we needed to write an AU with the Timeline squad. Introducing Sean as the Nathans elder brother, and young Blossom as Lydia and Simonâs younger sister.
Masterlist

âSocial season is officially upon us again," Lydia grumbled, stepping away from the pianoforte with an annoyed sigh when she saw her younger sister carrying yet another issue of Whistledownâs Society Papers, âalso known as Lydia Bellamy's road to becoming a spinster!â
"That is your choice, sister," Blossom laughed, followed quickly by their father, who was trying to sneak a peek at the pamphlet over her shoulder. "You have been in love with a boy you met ten years ago and refuse any other caller. I am beginning to think you imagined this boy. For heavenâs sake, a Viscount asked for your hand last year and you treated him no better than you would a rat!"
âTry to be a little happy for your sister, it's her first season and she is so excited to present in front of the Queen," Lord Charles murmured. "Besides, perhaps someone will catch your eye yet, my dear. Don't lose hope just yet."Â
âHave you seen the new Whistledown?â Win Lewis, Lydiaâs closest friend, cried as she hurried into the Bellamy drawing room, holding the latest edition of the tonâs favourite gossip rag aloft.Â
Winâs family had lived across the street from the Bellamys since her father, Lord David Lewis remarried the dowager Lady Karen Edwards, and she and Lydia had been fast friends ever since.
"Yes!" Blossom exclaimed excitedly, straightening as the other woman entered the room.
"No." Lydia rolled her eyes. "Why should I want to see what she has to say about my lack of a husband? She believes me a shrew. Honestly... why could you not be a man, Winnie? I would marry you in the blink of an eye,â she exclaimed.
âOh, if only!â Win teased, pecking Lydiaâs cheek as she flounced down next to her on the loveseat. âNo, read this part!â she exclaimed, pointing to a column on the front page. âA new family is moving to Mayfair, and they have three eligible sons,â she said, lowering her voice conspiratorially.
"Wow... more mediocre men to fill in the spaces on my dance card," Lydia muttered, sarcasm dripping from every word as she glanced at the paragraph about the Irish Lords, a pair of twins and an older gentleman who inherited the estate after their father's disappearance. "Every man in the ton is the same, they see me as some sort of porcelain doll that will break if they so much as look at me wrong.â
"Should you want them to see you as a bitch in heat?" Lady Linda Bellamy scoffed as she entered the room followed by her oldest, Simon. "You would be lucky to find someone like the Viscount! Gentle, sophisticated, intelligent, politeâ"
Win tried to hide her smile at Lady Bellamyâs wordsâshe knew her best friendâs tastes were everything but what her mother had listed. âYou havenât even met them yet, perhaps theyâll be more interesting than you think,â she murmured, nudging Lydia in the side.
"I suppose we shall know tonight at the ball, I am expected to attend... mama would certainly disown me if I would prefer to practice the pianoforte instead," Lydia grimaced.
"Good thing you know," Lady Bellamy said, fixing Simon's collar once more. "So handsome, every debutant will be looking at you tonight," she murmured fondly, ignoring the sour look on her daughterâs face.
"At least we'll be able to attend together," Win reminded her before turning her attention to the other Bellamy sister. "Are you excited for your introduction to society, Blossom?"
"So excited! I can't wait to get married and live my very own fairytale with my husband," Blossom squealed in excitement.Â
"Isn't she adorable?" Lydia teased, pinching her sister's cheek.
"How about you, Simon? Any ladies caught your eye yet?" Win asked, still grinning at Blossom's enthusiasm.
"Not particularly. I-I might wait a little longer, the last thing I want is to steal Blossom's thunder by getting married as well," Simon explained, ever so shy and reserved.
"I wish my step sister was half as kind as you, Simon," Win muttered, flopping back to lean against Lydia's shoulder.
"Delilah is the shrew Whistledown should be writing about! She has no class and no beauty, I pity the unlucky man she ends up with," Lydia huffed, folding her arms.
"She's been absolutely horrible over the winter, and now my step-mama is putting all her efforts into finding her a match. She's already ordered twice as many dresses from the modiste as she has for me," Win grumbled, her lips twitching into a frown.
"And your papa says nothing?" Lord Bellamy asked, frowning.
"He seems too cowed by her. I wish he would stand up to her from time to time," Win sighed.
"Do not worry, Winrey. If you should ever need a dress, Blossom has dozens she has never had the chance to wear before her figure... changed so fast," Charles offered.
"Besides, you do not need to rely on appearances to make yourself interesting," Lydia added. "You are a better catch than Delilah will ever be, with or without new dresses."
"Thank you Lord Bellamy, you are too kind," Win added before taking Lydia's hand and giving it a squeeze. "Thank you Lyds, you are the best," she whispered.

"Well, this isn't too bad.â Nathan muttered, opening the door to his new room. The house wasn't nearly as spacious as the one they had back in Ireland, but it was satisfactory. Â
"I am sure you'll feel at home in London soon enough," Lady Louise assured them.
"Yeah, once you feast your eyes on the bevy of young ladies at tonight's soiree," Nathaniel taunted, nudging his twin with a wolfish grin.
"I do seem to have extinguished my options back home..." Nathan laughed. He was quite proud of his reputation, a rake through and through, something he didn't plan on changing. "I am lucky to have you and Sean, between thâtwo of you I do not need to worry about marriage."
"I still believe you'll eat those words one day," Sean teased, raising an eyebrow at his younger brother.
"And I shall love to meet the spirited young lady who changes your mind," Nathaniel laughed. "For she'd have t'be spirited indeed t'put up with you."
"God has provided me with brothers so I could steal the virtue of as many young ladies as I possibly can," Nathan replied, running his fingers confidently through his unruly curls. "That is my divine duty, you two worry about wives and leave me out of it."
"Nathan!" Lady Young snapped, smacking the back of his head with her fan. "Please at least try to behave yourself here," she exclaimed.Â
"Shall we make a bit of a wager?" Nathaniel asked Sean, lowering his voice.Â
"What sort of wager?"Â
"On which lady shall catch his attention first at tonightâs ball."Â
"You're on," Sean grinned.

"You look absolutely gorgeous," Lydia murmured, placing a flower in her sister's hair. "Remember, do not be too eager, men do not like it."Â
"I will, if you promise me to be a little more eager, men do not like to be mistreated," Blossom countered, looking out through the carriage window.
"Should you find yourself terribly bored, you know where to find me," Simon winked at Lydia as their carriage came to a stop.Â
"Do not worry, I shall find Win and dance the night away," she smiled, looking around for her friendâs carriage while Charles stepped down to escort Blossom. Despite her elder sister's behavior she was a rather desirable young woman and she would certainly need a chaperone at all times.
Meanwhile, Win was sitting opposite her sour faced step sister and step mother, her eyes firmly directed out the carriage window as their destination neared.Â
"Delilah, stop squirming," Lady Karen snapped as her daughter craned her head to see out the other window. "And you, Winrey, sit up straight. A young lady doesn't slouch."Â
Win merely rolled her eyes, but straightened, catching sight of the Bellamys and hurriying out of the carriage before it fully came to a stop.
"Oh thank goodness, there you are," she breathed, catching Lydia's arm as they stepped into the bright foyer. "Have you seen them yet?" she asked, looking around for the Irish Lords theyâd read about.
"How should I know? I don't know what they look like!" Lydia giggled, her friend's excitement catching. "I believe we must find the three new faces among the old tired ones we know so well."
"That is a good idea. Let's seeeee," Win mused with a laugh, pulling Lydia along with her as she peered at each face they passed. Soon she noticed three men she had never seen beforeâall three were tall and slim, the elder a hand taller than the younger two, and each bearing a head of dark curls and sharp green eyes. The two younger men appeared to be identical twins, though they held themselves slightly different.Â
"There!" Win exclaimed in a hushed voice, biting her lip as she looked them over.
"Oh my dear God, they areâ" Attractive was the only word Lydia could think of, but she didnât voice it. Â
The three men were incredibly attractive, to be sure, but so was the Viscount, as well as many other young men of the ton, but being handsome was not a guarantee of any other value.Â
"Papa! Look!" Blossom whispered. "Do you think one of them shall ask me to dance?"Â
"If they have half a brain, I'm sure they will," Lord Bellamy chuckled.
"See anythin' y'like, brother?" Nats asked, letting his gaze travel around the room, taking in the sights.
"I see many things..." Nathan wet his lips before taking a sip of his lemonade, âmany beautiful young things. Do you, brother?"
Lydia couldn't help but think those curls and green eyes were awfully familiar. Over ten years back, when she was merely a girl, she had encountered a boy with those very same features. A boy she had vowed to marry once they were grown, but it was simply a childish desire.
"I think I do," Nats murmured, âif you'll excuse me..." Stepping away from his twin's side, he waded into the crowd, making his way toward Win and Lydia. "Good evenin', ladies," he greeted, nodding his head toward them. "And t'who do I owe th'pleasure?" he asked, reaching for Lydia's hand.
"Miss Bellamy, Miss Lydia Bellamy," she answered, allowing him to take her hand, and for once she didn't feel the need to make a nasty remark. "Good evening, my lord."Â
"Oh, always in a rush..." Nate groaned, stealing a glance at the other young lady next to the one his brother was speaking withâshorter and more petite, but just as beautiful as the one his brother had chosen. "I shall bide my time. Right, Seanâ Sean?" he asked, looking around, his older brother nowhere to be seen.
"Good evening, I couldn't help but notice you across th'room," Sean murmured, bowing to Miss Blossom.
"My Lord," Blossom bowed back, trying not to seem too eager or blush too deeply, as her sister had advised. "I-I amâ"
âMiss Blossom Bellamy," her father cut in, amused by his daughter's reaction.
"Blossom," Sean mused as he held out his hand for her. "You certainly blush just as prettily as a blossom," he said, flashing her a grin.
"You are too kind," Blossom took his hand and looked back at her father for approval. He simply nodded and let go of her arm. "I'm afraid my face gives away too much. I have never been a good liar."
"I've always thought it better to be honest than trying to hide what one thinks or feels," Sean murmured, letting her take his arm as he led her to the dance floor.
"Most agreeable," Blossom nodded, placing one hand on his shoulder. "Although I have been warned against my overly passionate nature."
"I don't see what's wrong with a bit of exuberance," Sean murmured, placing one hand on the small of her back. "Although, that may be my artist's spirit talking," he chuckled awkwardly, hoping it wouldn't put her off to know he was an artist. Many young ladies tended to find that undesirable in a Lord. If he were the second born, or a commoner, maybe it wouldn't be so frowned uponâŠ
"You're an artist?â Blossom cried excitedly. âSo am I! I have been learning every instrument I can get my hands on ever since I was a girl, and I like to believe myself a fair writer as well!" Blossom felt her heart race a little bit more, sharing similarities was the first step to a good match. "What is your passion?"
âIâm quite interested in the use and art of the camera obscura,â Sean answered, his chest stirring with excitement at Blossomâs interest in his art.
"That is fascinating! I should love to see your art someday, it must look so real!" Blossom's interest only grew the more she learned about him. "My Lord, I have been so enthralled, I forgot to ask your name, what should I call you?"
âOh! My apologies Miss Blossom, you may call me Sean, Sean Young,â he answered.
"A lovely name," Blossom breathed, holding put her arm so he could sign her dance card. "Would you care for some refreshments, Lord Young?"
âYes, let me get you some lemonade, Miss Blossom,â Sean offered, leading her over to the drink table.
"Thank you," Blossom followed, looking back at her papa who smiled. "May I ask how a wonderful dancer and an enchanting gentleman such as yourself isn't married yet?"
âAh, well,â Sean murmured sheepishly, taking a sip from his drink. âThere was a young lady I was courting several years ago, but I made a bit of a⊠misstep and she cut off our engagement,â he explained.
"Oh dear," Blossom laughed nervously. What sort of misstep would cause a bride to call off the entire engagement?  It must have been really bad... "I am sorry to hear that, I am sure you seek a fresh start here in England. I shan't ask any more questions."
âI⊠certainly hope so,â Sean murmured awkwardly.

"Miss Bellamy, might I have this dance?" Nats asked, winking at her as he kissed the back of her gloved hand. Win shared an excited look with her friend before she was pulled out to the floor. Spying the refreshments, she headed in that direction, half keeping an eye on Lydia and the young Mr. Young.Â
"I suppose you are the one Lady Whistledown has been talking about. My friend was most curious about you and your brothers," Lydia grinned. It had been ages since she last danced with a gentleman, let alone one she actually wanted to dance with.Â
"Oh yes, I read that. This Whistle lady seems to be rather important around here," Nats chuckled as he spun her slowly. "Arenât you curious at all? I'll answer any question you like."Â
"She certainly knows more than anyone else about everyone else. I have but one question..." Lydia stared deeply into those eyes and took a deep breath. "Is this your first time in England?"Â
"I..." Nats frowned, thinking. "No, we lived here many years ago before my father left us," he answered, stepping in time to the spirited music. "Why d'yeh ask?"Â
"Itâs just⊠you remind me of someone I met many years ago," Lydia admitted, moving without counting her steps, almost as if she knew exactly what to do. "My family and I were enjoying the country and I remember spending one remarkable afternoon with a boy who had your curls and your green eyes."Â
"Really?" Nats murmured, trying to think back. "It does sound like me, but as you can see, my twin and elder brother share those same features as well."Â
"What I know is that the boy was the same age as me, so I believe your older brother to be out of the equation," Lydia musedâit would be nearly impossible to know for certain if neither of them remembered the event.Â
Natsâ frown deepened. âI do vaguely remember my time here, but Iâm afraid I canât remember much,â he said apologetically. He would have to think on it. âIt would certainly be a shame to forget a beautiful lady such as yourself,â he added, hoping she wouldnât take offense to his lapse in memory.Â
"It would surprise me if you did remember, it was so long ago and I was quite different back then. Seems both me and my sister were late bloomers, as one would say," Lydia huffed a laugh, deeply hoping he was the one she'd been looking for. "But thank you, you are very sweet."Â
Nats bowed to her as the song came to a close. âIâm afraid I havenât properly introduced myself,â he exclaimed, suddenly realizing that he knew Lydiaâs name, but she didnât know his. âMy name is Nathaniel Young, not to be confused with my twin, Nathan.âÂ
Lydia couldn't help her sudden bout of laughter, quickly clapping her hands over her mouth. She didn't want to be rude, but it was impossible not to have a reaction. "Iâm sorry, my apologies, I am not laughing at you, I swear!" she giggled.
Natsâ expression twisted slightly. âYeah, yeah, there was a bit of a misunderstandinâ when we were born yâsee. My mum fancied the name and so named me, but my father had already provided thâsame name for my brother, beinâ none thâwiser,â he groaned, though Lydiaâs laughter was infectious. Â
"I am so sorry," Lydia took a deep breath to regain her composure. For once she wasn't intentionally trying to scare a man away. "I do like your names, if that's any consolation."Â
âIâm used to it,â Nats shrugged. âIf itâs any consolation, you have a very lovely laugh.â He grinned. âUsually my friends call me Nats and him Nate.âÂ
"Very well, should not be hard to tell the two of you apart, seeing as your brother is much more aggressive in his advances." Lydia glanced at her friend and the other twin, seemingly arguing. "Win is one of the most important people in my life, if anything bad were to happen between them I'm afraid your brother and I would have a problem."Â
âAh⊠yes, Iâm afraid my twin has no intention of finding a wife, but my elder brother and I wager heâll one day find his match. Perhaps your friend might just be thâone that changes his mind,â Nats said, craning his head to watch, hoping Nathan wouldnât ruin his chances with Miss Bellamy if things went sour with her friend.Â
"That is enough! Excuse me, Mr. Young," Lydia made her way to where Win and Nate were having a discussion.
"Pardon me, miss, but I believe you must have lost your way, a beautiful angel like yourself walking amongst us mere mortalsâ?" Nate approached Win without a hint of hesitation and she turned to him, her brows rising as she looked him up and down.Â
"An angel, you say? More like a fallen angel if you ask my family," she scoffed.Â
Oh, a complicated woman, family troubles... his bread and butter. "Anyone who says such a thing clearly does not know what they are talking about, Miss...?"Â
Win rolled her eyes, watching him carefully. "Winrey, Winrey Lewis. And you are...?" she asked, tilting her head at him.Â
"Nathan Young," he answered, gently kissing the back of her hand while discreetly looking down at her cleavage. "Should you give me the honor to share this dance with me?"Â
Win hummed, deliberating, as if making up her mind. "Alright, Mister Young, I suppose I shall give you the honour of my company," she said, a tiny smirk playing at her painted lips as she took his hand.Â
"I certainly am the luckiest man hereâŠ" Nate bowed his head, leading her to the dance floor. As much as he hadnât planned on wasting the entire night on one lady... Winrey was so intriguing, it only made him want to know more about her.Â
Win snorted softly, though her breath hitched when he pulled her in close, the sharp scent of his cologne making her head swim. âTell me, Mr Young, is that what you tell every young lady you dance with? Or am I special?âÂ
"Is that the idea you have of me? My heart breaks at the thought," Nate pouted, running the back of his hand along her jaw. "You are indeed special, Miss Lewis."Â
âAnd you are a rake, if ever Iâve seen one,â Win replied, cursing her voice for how breathy itâd become at his touch.
"Me? I assure you, I am nothinâ if not a gentleman. I can guarantee you do not need to worry. I would never attempt anything improper, Miss Lewis," Nate whispered a little too close to her ear.Â
âOh really?â Win drawled, her heart pounding in her ears. âIâm sure once you leave my side, youâll be on the prowl for the next young lady you certainly wouldnât dream of compromising.â The song came to an end and she barely curtsied though her heart pounded loud in her ear.
That was usually how it went. Thankfully, he was never caught and forced into marriage, but Nathan knew there was nothing that made a lady want him more than not touching her at first. "You don't see my affections as genuine?"Â
âNot in the slightest,â Win countered, raising her chin to look him in the eye. âIâve met several men like you, Mr. Young. I am familiar with your sort.âÂ
"I believe you, you are not an impressionable debutante... how old are you? Five and twenty?" Nate asked with the only intention to rile her up.Â
âFive andâ!â Win gasped, falling right into his trap. âIâll have you know Iâm only one and twenty!â she cried, smacking his shoulder with her fan.
"Are you a spinster by choice or do men just find you unpleasant due to your temper?" Nate laughed, knowing anger was way better than indifference. If she had strong feelings, he had a chance.Â
"Excuse you? Who do you think you are, Nate?" Lydia approached him defiantly.Â
"Oh no... my sister, not again!" Blossom winced, watching the scene enfold across the room.
"Shit," Nats hissed, quickly following Lydia. Â
"Maybe it's because of men like you that I haven't wed yet!" Win exclaimed. "You are so... so entitled!"Â
"Uh, if you'll excuse me, Miss Blossom, I need to defuse this situation," Sean exclaimed, wading through the crowd toward the others.
"Yes, of course... Papa! Simon! She's doing it again!" Blossom cried.
"I've been nothing but respectful, but you doubt my intentions and call me a-a rake," Nate feigned offense and turned to Lydia. "This doesn't concern you, miss. Unless, are you secretly in love with Miss Lewis?" he whispered teasingly.Â
"Oh, you are vile! How could you share your brother's features and make them look so despicable?" Lydia gasped.Â
"Nate, what are you doing?" Nats hissed as Sean joined them.Â
"Brother, you're making a scene," Sean murmured under his breath.
"I am? She is the one who started screaming at me!" Nate gestured to Lydia.Â
"Because you disrespect my dearest friend! Hear that, Whistledown? I did not start the scene this time!"Â
"Let us breathe and collect ourselves, there's no need for theatrics," Lord Bellamy said, taking his oldest daughterâs arm.Â
"I'm sure we will all laugh at this misunderstanding soon enough," Simon mumbled.
"Obviously you did something to rile the young lady," Sean hissed to his brother, glancing at Win.Â
"Oh, the young lady is not riled," she replied, smoothing her expression with effort. "For there is nothing about the gentleman that is worth being riled about," she scoffed. "Good night gentlemen," she added, bowing her head to Sean before directing a sharp glare at Nathan and turning on her heel.
"Win! Wait!" Lydia went after her despite wanting nothing more than to stay and talk to Nats all evening. All she could hope for was that he would decide to call on her the next morning.Â
"Simon, I feel faint," Blossom exclaimed, taking her brother's arm. That whole scene along with Sean's mysterious wrongdoing made her head spin.Â
"Would you like to go home?" he asked.Â
"Oh, but Lord Young..." she murmured, torn.
"Lord Bellamy, Miss Blossom, I apologize for my younger brother's actions this night, I hope you might forgive the intrusion," Sean murmured, bowing his head to Blossom and her father.Â
"Of course, my Lord," Blossom nodded. "I apologize for my sister as well, she is known to... pick fights, especially with men."Â
"They usually deserve it," Lord Bellamy added quietly.Â
"She is a credit to you, sir," Sean chuckled, though his gaze flicked to Blossom as he grinned.Â
"I hope this misunderstanding doesn't get in the way of our... conversation," Blossom murmured.  Â
"On my part it doesn't," Sean murmured, kissing the back of her gloved hand.Â
Blossom simply smiled, she suddenly felt so embarrassed having her brother and father watching them.

"Oh, great!" Nathaniel hissed sarcastically. "Thank you so much brother," he grumbled, watching Lydia chase after Win.
"What did I do? I was dancin' with Miss Lewis and she kept sayin' those things... she-she vexed me!" Nathan huffed stubbornly. "And why should you care?"
"You were bein' you!" Nats groaned. "She obviously could tell your intentions were less than noble and now you've chased off her friend as well, and just when we wereâ" he cut off angrily and strode away for a drink.Â
"Oh, please, brother! As if her friend, the first woman you set your eyes upon in London, is the woman you're going to marry! I did you a favour, she is much too feisty."
"Maybe I like that about her," Nats countered quietly. "I am bored of all the demure young ladies that simper and prance about. I know you are."
"I do not mind how a lady behaves as long as her skirt is light and allows me under it," Nate smirked. "I believe Miss Lewis fancies me."Â
"And what makes you think that?" Nats frowned.Â
"The way her breathing changes when I get closer, the way her pupils grow when she's lookin' at me..." Nate mused, leaning against the wall.Â
"Oh, I know that tone," Nats groaned. "Don't tell me you're goin' t'continue t'chase her?"Â
"Why shouldn't I? You know the ones who are hard to get are my favourites," Nate murmured, picking up another glass.
"I suppose it's no use trying to discourage you. Just... try not to make all of us look bad. Some of us are just trying to find a match," Nats sighed, taking another glass of his own.
"I am glad you know me so well," Nate grinned. "Not to worry, I believe I can only make you look better by comparison."

"You didn't have to follow me, you know," Win murmured as she stepped out onto the terrace, Lydia at her heel. "I didn't mean to take you from your own conversation."
"You are my best friend, Winnie, no one is more important," Lydia wrapped her arms around Win. "I am so sorry, that simple bastard had no idea what he was talking about."
"I think I'm more mad at myself," Win muttered, leaning into Lydia's embrace, "for nearly falling for his empty charms."
"His empty charms come wrapped up in the most handsome face, who could blame you?" Lydia sighed. "It pains me to see you like this, his brother seems to be genuinely sweet."
"They are both quite handsome, are they not?" Win murmured. "So, you fancy his twin, then?"
"They are, and I do... I think I do," Lydia shook her head. "He reminds me of the young man I told you about."
Win's expression changed, brightening. "Maybe it is him!" she exclaimed.
"Maybe... or maybe it was his villain of a brother, Mister Young cannot remember much," Lydia frowned. "I can't stand to think about it," she groaned.
Win tsked and shook her head. "Perhaps, but I doubt it. Unless he's changed drastically since then. But let's not think of it any longer tonight," she murmured, giving her friend's hand a squeeze.Â
"Winrey? Oh, there you are," Lady Karen exclaimed, stepping onto the terrace. "I should have known I'd find you here," she muttered bitterly, "sequestered away with your friend instead of on the dance floor, searching for a husband. No matter," she continued, looking down her nose at Lydia, "we are heading home. Delilah's already filled her dance card."
"Really?" Lydia turned without letting go of her friend. "It is not late enough and I don't believe there was enough alcohol served for Delilah to start looking more pleasant. Be careful, you know what people say of ladies who dance around with too many different partners."
âWatch your tongue, my dear,â Lady Karen snapped, reaching for Winâs wrist. âAt least she has prospects. Now, come.âÂ
âI am sorry, Lyds. Iâll see you tomorrow,â Win murmured, wrenched away by her step mama.
"She certainly learned the art of fortune-hunting from her mama!" Lydia waved Win goodbye. "See you tomorrow, Winnie."Â
"Dear, your sister isn't feeling well, we are going home," Lord Bellamy called, waving toward Lydia to catch her attention. "You better rest as well, replenish your energies after all the banter."
As Win walked out, joined by her step sister, she couldnât help but let her gaze sweep the hall, wincing as her eyes met Nathan Youngâs. âPrat,â she muttered under her breath, though her stomach fluttered traitorously.Â
As Lydia joined her family, Nats half raised his hand to her, waving at her as they left. If only heâd been able to continue their conversation.

Prompt Lists:
List One
NSFW Prompt ListÂ
Rules of the Library (Thank you @Seanfalco for these too. Pretty similar to what the Library is willing to or not willing to do. Tweaked them to fit us)
1. Requests are considered.
I will usually make a post when requests are openÂ
I am not obligated to fill every request that I receive.
I write what inspires me at the time, they will be fulfilled as the muse hits in no specific order
If I find myself uncomfortable, I probably wonât be handling that request
I prefer sentence starters when receiving request, though sometimes super specific is ok if it is a gift. But dont abuse that idea of a gift
Also please donât spam requests.Â
I write fem!reader or fem!OC. Itâs just what Iâm most comfortable with.
To request anonymously do so through âAsk the Library Staffâ and with your open Tumblr through the submissions and âOpen Requestsâ
2. I donât have a strict update schedule.
I work full time. I try to write whenever I can. I just wrote for two consecutive weeks straight and right now Im a bit burnt out. Im attempted to finish two WIPs as well as challenge myself
I usually post whenever I finish. It could be morning, afternoon or even middle of the evening. I will reblog and have specific tags such as âKlaus x requestâ or âDarren x requestâ etc.
3. Things I wonât write:
canon x canon or slash â I only write x reader or x oc, I donât mind including fem slash or threesomes with two male characters and a female character or two females and a male. Im not above including ace representation
noncon â Im an assault survivor. I just wonât do it. I need to be better about mentioning protection
real person fic/rpf
Five smut - even aged up
incest- I know theyre fictional. I know theyre adopted. I just wonât do it.
coming out fics - itâs delicate
if youâre unsure if thereâs a topic I will or wonât write, feel free to ask
A Caveat: I am not opposed to mixing my OCs with other characters at your request, nor do I have an issue mixing Robertâs characters with one another. Even, dare I say, sexually. To me that isnât incest or twincest itâs.. more like masturbation LOL Â
4. On headcanons:
When I post headcanons, I donât mind if you reblog them, please do! If you want to brainstorm ideas you can ALWAYS message the Librarian or my other account Miss Kittys Magic Portal and we can share ideas or feelings :)
5. Tag List:
if you would like to be added to my taglist just send me a message or an ask and specify which types of fics youâd like to be tagged in (if its a specific series, or character, or fandom)
6. My Personal Tumblr Ask Box is always open if you want to chat, about Robert, his characters, anything!  I also have anonymous turned on, so please donât be shy!  It makes my day to interact with y'all. For here please use it (Open or anon) to request or answer or respond to Thirsty ThursdayÂ
