Can you tell me more about Maddie's backstory? Like where does her story start? How does she get her powers? Who is she friends with? Do you think she'd get along with Ro?

So, she gets introduced around the same time as Peter. However, I’ve been considering adding her with my other Marvel OC, Rhianna Stark. I was thinking that, around the same time Peter got bitten by the spider, Maddie somehow got radiation on her. That causes her water manipulation powers to accumulate.

I haven’t really thought much about Maddie’s backstory yet. I was thinking maybe that she would either be living with a single parent or an older sibling maybe. Definitely though, she and Peter live next door to each other or below each other or something. So, they grew up together, and had crushes on each other since they were young.

For friends, Maddie has a little hard time making them because she’s one ambitious person. She’s so focused on being class president and looking good for college that she doesn’t have the time to make friends. At first, it was only Peter, and Ned through him. But, once she gets her powers, she realizes that she needs to open up more. So, she gets to know Michelle and Rhianna, as well as Ava Ayala.

As for Ro, I think after a little awhile, Maddie would definitely want to become friends with her. She always love meeting new friends after getting over the whole focusing on college deal.

Ro was enjoying her lunch, sitting alone in one of the tables in the cafeteria. She wasn’t expecting company and was rather liking the relative silence and peace but fate seemed to have other plans for her. Ned and Peter sat in her table, the later directly in front of her, they were talking about something Rosabella didn’t really care to pay attention to, not when her self-imposed isolation had just been ruined.

“What are you two doing here?” The irritation in her voice could be easily recognized but it did not faze the other two in the slightest. 

“We’re… eating.” The small dorky smile on Peter’s face almost melted the tech genius’ annoyance away but all that quip received was a single raised eyebrow. 

Before Ro could utter another word, Ned jolted slightly in his seat in a bad imitation of spontaneity. “I forgot… something important in my locker! I need to go get it right now. Don’t wait for me.” It was truly amazing how he managed not to trip on his way out because he left as if he was a gazelle and the other two teenagers were hungry lions. 

An awkward silence reigned for a couple of minutes before Peter broke.

“Would you like to go out with me?” The sentence was blurted out so fast it was a wonder she managed to understand the words that came out of his mouth. Said mouth which was now being covered by one of his hands, his eyes wide as he realized what he had just said. After all that happened to her and what living in a world with superheroes, alien gods and parents who used to work for a super secret agency, Rosabella Anderson was proud to say little fazed her. However, the declaration caught her completely off guard even if it did make perfect sense now that she analyzed the whole situation.

“I- I- I-” Peter was starting to stutter now, his red face betraying his embarrassment even to those out of hearing range. 

“Why not?” The words left her mouth before she was able to control it. As to not make the environment even more uncomfortable, Ro stood up, empty lunch tray in hand. “Let me know when.” Just like that, she left, leaving a blushing, unbelieving Peter Parker behind.
