#ocd andreil

hello followers! it's me asking for advice again.

i will write (or attempt to) a fic that has ocd andreil because i need to express these. i want y'all's opinions on what kind/theme andrew would have. themes are the main obsession and things that your ocd focuses on.

neil is already a pre defined one: harm + checking. harm ocd refers to thinking you'll hurt people and checking is repeatedly doing actions (compulsions) until it feels right.

andrew though. i have discarded sexual orientation ocd (ppl think that theyre gay when they're not and vice versa). i am, though, thinking about delving into sexual ocd for andrew, like affirmations after sex & all. but i don't want to transform his trauma into MORE trauma (i feel like that wouldn't be right) and i don't know if people can develop sexual ocd from sexual abuse. now, i have contamination (because of the sexual abuse, several researches point out that it has correlation) OOOOOOOR some form of checking too, esp related to his family and safety, but. well.

this is NOT coming from someone who is inexperienced in OCD. i have been diagnosed with it for almost a year now. this is not something im doing without research.

ideas, advices and opinions are SOOOOOo appreciated. also don't ask about the pjo fic. it will be updated. some day.

i know you don’t draw them often or that they get a lot of development, but i wanted you to know, i would die for maya and ollie (and milo, but like he’s got a whole fic and stuff so he’s disqualified, but still loved) thank you 🩵

I would say Oliver and Maya both have development but it’s just not to the extent that Milo has because they weren’t made for fics🤔

But I’m so happy yall love them too and I really do want to draw them more I swear

Also here’s a wip I finished quickly for yall cuz of this :)

Oliver is clearly the superior artist because he got the basic shapes of his parents correct; Circle dad and Pencil dad

Milo always signs his name as MJ :)

He also struggles to color inside the lines

Oliver colors like he’s using the blood of his enemies

He also calls both of them dad but he learned their nicknames before he called either of them dad (Oliver really assumed their names were Drew and Rabbit)

Also it’s not obvious but Oliver did not draw them with armbands because his andreil don’t wear them anymore (only when it’s cold cuz scars sometimes ache in bad weather)

Maya has some ocd tendencies because she would have a meltdown if the coloring went outside the lines

Maya also knows to sign her name date and time for her drawings

Some fun facts:

- Oliver likes lavenders (flowers)

- Oliver started off very closed off and shy but as soon as he was comfortable, he was a menace

- Oliver’s birth mother was a drug addict

- Maya likes bitter things

- Maya doesn’t enjoy lots of physical contact unless it’s firm (which is not a problem from the Foxes/Andreil)

- Maya’s favorite cartoon growing up was My Little Pony but she wasn’t very enthusiastic about it

- Milo’s favorite sport (exy is top three) is baseball which he played in high school alongside exy

- Milo likes songs about love

- Milo became obsessed with Lucky Charms after Andrew introduced them to him

Andrew seems to be developing something like separation anxiety, ever since Neil went and got himself kidnapped. But he knew It was something a long time in the making, Neil the straw that broke the camel's back; he let Aaron out of his sight, his reach and Tilda put her hands on him, he let Nicky out of his sight and a bunch of homophobes put him in hospital, he let Kevin out of his reach at the Kathy Ferdinand show and Riko played with his mind like a mouse. He let Neil unhook his claws and he almost lost him forever.

It starts with counting, in his mind, whenever he leaves them; one, two, three, four. All there, all safe, all close. But it gets harder and harder to reassure himself that they're safe. Any moment that he can't be there for them is a risk.

It progresses to touch pretty soon after he realises he can't go on like he is, his mind bending and twisting in four different directions. Bee says it's compulsion-- and she'd know all about that particular mind fuck-- that he should text them, visual confirmation that they are okay. It helps but not really. He begins to let his shoulders brush against theirs, no he begins to seek it out. The firm press of a warm arm against his shoulder, who knew a new trauma could actually balance out an old one? Oh don't get him wrong, his skin still crawls in aversion but it eases off somewhat, because these bodies are his to protect.

He didn't count on Nicky being the first one to notice of all people (well, apart from Neil but Neil was always in his own category, the nuisance). "Is something going on? I feel like you've touched me more in the past couple of months then you had in the entire time we've known each other?"

"I can stop." He says it like it doesn't matter, like he won't twist his own mind into doubting whether Nicky is even real if can't prove it with touch. He will never be like them.

"No! It's just, you were being so careful about it, always making sure we see you coming, always giving us time to move away. It's... Andrew you know you can touch me any time, right? Like, I know you'll never want to hug me or anything but a hand on my shoulder? Or something?" Nicky looks him in the eye and sets his shoulders. He's been talking to Neil. "I give you permission, Andrew. Whatever you need."

Andrew leaves the dorm without a word but the next day, when Nicky is gathering his things for class, Andrew claps him on the shoulder on his way to the kitchen (one), eyes firmly in front of him. He doesn't see Nicky's beaming smile. He doesn't see Aaron's confusion, suspicion. He does see Neil, his soft eyes.

"146 percent." He grunts as he pushes Neil against the kitchen counter (two). He'll have to go shoulder barge Kevin soon (three), and make brushing past Aaron seen casual (four). The need to feel them alive and safe will motivate him into it. But for now he sips his coffee and pretends not to hear when Neil says he's proud of him.
