1. "Izzy never believed in soulmates." From Shatter Me, a Soulmate AU

2. "Stede glanced at his phone. 8:15pm. Fifteen minutes late wasn't bad. Traffic could account for that, right?" From Wishing Only Wounds The Heart- Stede gets stood up for a date and meets Izzy.

3. "Izzy suspected a stowaway for days. Food missing, things out of place, creaking boards that weren't the ship's usual noise. He'd caught more than one stowaway in his time. Killed one or two as well..." from Stowaway- Izzy catches a very familiar looking stowaway aboard the ship...

4. "Stede hit the couch with a grunt, which turned into a groan as Izzy landed on top of him." From Proven Wrong- Ed gives Stede advice on dating Izzy. Too bad it's all wrong.

5. "'I never thought I would miss Edward so much but now I fucking do and it's your fucking fault!'" From First Time For Everything- Stede drags Izzy to Alma's birthday party.

6. "'Don't even tell me, there's only one bed.'" From Lots of New Things- TROPE FEST! Izzy and Stede stay at an inn. There's only one bed. Of course.

7. "It's become a bit of a joke now. If Bonnet chooses a ship to raid, it's either deserted, cursed (or haunted), or plague-ridden." From Successful Raid- Stede finally chooses a good raid... and a boyfriend.

8. "There had been nowhere to go. So Crowley literally drove until he ran out of road. Then he turned around and did it again. And again. And again." From Making Up- Crowley and Aziraphale make up and wreck the bookshop (and each other) while doing so.

9. "'He's not dead.'" From Save Him- What Izzy hears in the darkness as he lays on deck after being shot. Dialog only experimental fix.

10. "Aziraphale turned away from the slamming door, the phrase 'i forgive you' hanging bitter and heavy in the back of his throat, contrasting the sweet memory of pressure on his lips." from Flight and Fight- Aziraphale has a panic attack as he prepares to leave for heaven.

Ok, admittedly they weren't all my MOST recent fics, but a lot of my most recent ones have really boring beginning lines!

I like Xie Lian because he has survived embarrassment on a cosmic scale so he's immune to embarrassing situations. At the same time he's like, "If San Lang realizes I have a boner, I will actually have to go die."

SVSSS post-canon memory loss AU where Shen Qingqiu gets wife plotted (again) and is hit with an amnesia curse, causing him to lose all memories of his life as a transmigrator. Now Shen Qingqiu is no sucker, so he doesn't break character. However, having forgotten about the system, he is absolutely BAFFLED at some the decisions his post-transmigration self made. Why the hell would he choose to still push Binghe down the abyss?! Why? It doesn't make sense!

Like, he's more shocked by this than the fact that his future self is not straight.

Does Shang Qinghua choose to explain about the System? Maybe. Or maybe he's on a vacation with a certain ice prince, giving plenty of time for BingQiu drama:

"Binghe, do you know why I pushed you into the abyss?"

"I don't know. Shizun never said."

"I never gave you any clues?"

"Perhaps because I was a demon, or because Meng Mo--"

"No. That doesn't make sense." [Shen Qingqiu doing some quick thinking.] "Binghe, I think there must have been another reason. A threat, maybe to you or me, or to all of Cang Qiong Mountain sect. Something or someone made me do it. Otherwise, there is no reason on this earth why I would ever push you into the abyss."

[Binghe, already crying.] "Shizun . . ."
