Ouran Host Club but it's g/t
Chapter 2
Me: did everyone enjoy the cringey anime fic?
Y'all: No Alex, only you did.
Me: Oh. Well, that was basically my target audience anyway.
It's here babes! I was finally able to write the first part of the Ouran fic I've been wanting to make! Basically, it's the same as the show, except everyone but Haruhi is a giant!
HEAVILY inspired by @friendlyfoxpal ‘s Ouran artwork. It’s so cute and I love it so much!
Here's the first part, it's basically just an intro to the premise, next part will be posted on Wednesday!
_______________________________________________________
Ouran Academy. The most prestigious school in the area, full of filthy rich, young people with way too much time on their hands. Haruhi, as a lower-middle-class citizen, had enough audacity to even think she could attend this elite school. But this school wasn’t just a rich kid's playground, it had the best education programs in the country, so Haruhi was determined to go. On top of being a “commoner” though, Haruhi was also a human, and Ouran Academy was a giant’s school.
Honestly, Haruhi was surprised that the school’s headmaster even let her take the scholarship exam, but after acing that, here she was, in the headmaster's office, one week before the school year started.
“I have to say, I’m impressed, Ms. Fujioka.” The headmaster said with a smile. “Your test scores are some of the bests I’ve ever seen.”
“Thank you, sir.” Haruhi was polite, but inside she wondered what this meeting was for. She had already gotten her acceptance letter in the mail and completed all of the paperwork. Did the headmaster just want to greet her?
As if reading her mind, the headmaster spoke up again, “I bet you’re wondering why I called you here. Well, even though your test scores are remarkable, there is still the problem of a human attending this academy. Forgive me if this is rude, but you’re a little outsized here, Ms. Fujioka.”
Haruhi knew all of that. “Yes, sir. I am aware.” She knew this was a giant’s school before she even applied, but it’s the best one for her future, so what’s the problem?
“Well, Miss, tell me, just how do you expect to get around the campus? You cannot walk that far, and vehicles are strictly forbidden on school grounds.”
Haruhi…honestly hadn’t thought about that. “W-well I…” He wasn’t going to revoke her acceptance for this, was he?
Surprisingly, the headmaster smiled. “Do not worry, Ms. Fujioka, I had an idea that I wanted to discuss with you. You see, the son of one of my colleagues also attends this academy, his name is Tamaki Suoh. If it is alright with you, I can arrange for him to help you around school. To be a sort of escort for you, per se.”
Haruhi wasn’t thrilled at the idea of being carried around by a giant, but if the headmaster thought it was necessary, “Alright. Thank you, sir.”
“Of course,” The headmaster stood from his desk. “If that is all, then we’re done here. I look forward to seeing you during this year, Ms. Fujioka.”
The next morning, Haruhi stood outside of the school’s gate. Its needlessly fancy gates, she thought. Looking at the building again, with its bright pink architecture and massive rose bushes, the gates matched. This entire school is so pretentious. She had been instructed to arrive very early and wait on the giant upperclassman who had been assigned to her, so no other students had arrived yet.
Just then, she heard a voice from above. “Hey there! You must be the honor student I’ve heard so much about!” Haruhi looked up, way, way up, at the giant that approached her. She felt her face turn white. With the headmaster, the size difference wasn’t so bad, since she was standing on his desk, about chest height to the man. This was the first time she had ever seen a giant from ground level. She lived in a strictly human neighborhood and had only gone to human schools. This guy's height was almost unfathomable.
Thankfully, the giant knelt down to be closer to her level. “I’m Tamaki Suoh,” he said, holding his hand palm-up in front of her in a clear invitation, “and you are?”
Trying to not stare at the massive hand, Haruhi looked up at Tamaki, “I’m Haruhi Fujioka,” she replied, stepping onto his hand as calmly as she could. “It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
Tamaki was fascinated by the feeling of tiny shoes walking onto his hand. He rarely spoke to humans, much less came in physical contact with one. So cute! He thought, unable to keep the awe off of his face as he stood up. Remembering his manners, he replied, “It’s very nice to meet you too, young man.”
Haruhi stumbled when the hand lifted, but it was surprisingly steady enough to not knock her over. She barely registered the ‘young man’ comment, not particularly caring. Although it was strange to think that she was so small to Tamaki, he couldn’t see what gender she was. That’s probably not the only reason, she thought. She had very short hair, glasses covering her eyes, and she wasn’t wearing a school uniform, instead opting for a comfy shirt and pants. Haruhi couldn’t blame him for not being able to tell.
As soon as he was back up on his feet, Tamaki cupped a second hand around the one holding Haruhi. He’s so tiny, Tamaki thought. And yes, with both of the giant’s hands around the human, Haruhi looked very tiny indeed. A fall would be disastrous. Pushing that worry out of his mind, Tamaki headed towards Haruhi’s classroom, giving her a little tour on the way and explaining all he could about the school. By the time they got to Haruhi’s class, other students had started to arrive, filing in and taking their seats.
Setting Haruhi down on an empty desk, Tamaki smiled down at her. “Welp, this is your class, Haruhi. I’ll be back later to take you to the next one. Have fun, little guy!” And with that, Tamaki was gone.
The rest of the day went by smoothly. Class after class of Haruhi mostly being ignored, to her surprise. She didn’t know if that was out of lack of caring, or if the other students just didn’t notice her there. Either way, she didn’t care, she was just focused on her studies. Tamaki, despite coming off as a bit obnoxious, was also surprisingly reliable. Every class he was there right on time to help Haruhi to wherever she needed to go. She didn’t speak to him much, but she wasn’t sure he even noticed her silence. He easily filled each walk with stories and tangents of his own.
At the end of the day, Haruhi expected Tamaki to drop her off at the school's gates, so she could make her way home, but it seemed Tamaki had other plans. “Oh my, I don’t know how I didn’t think of this before! Since classes are over for the day, how would you like to see my host club, Haruhi?”
“Your…host club?” In all honesty, Haruhi hadn’t really been listening to most of the things Tamaki said in between classes, so she was not sure if he ever mentioned a club, much less a host club. What kind of high school even had a host club?
“Of course! I’m sure you’ve noticed my jaw-dropping good looks, and you know, beauty must be shared with the world! So, I created a host club full of handsome young men with too much time on their hands to entertain young ladies who also have way too much time on their hands,” He struck a short pose, before smiling back down at Haruhi. “Who knows, maybe one day, you could become a host too!”
Haruhi laughed awkwardly at that. “Yeah, no, I don’t think that’d be for me, senpai.”
Tamaki shrugged. “Well, either way, you must meet the others, I’m sure they will just adore you, little one!” Haruhi grimaced a bit at those words, but as of right now, her life was in Tamaki’s hands, literally. While he was holding her, wherever he went, she had no choice but to go.
A music room? Haruhi stared up at the sign above the door Tamaki was opening. Why would a club like this be in a music room?
Inside the room were five more giants. One of the giants, with dark hair and glasses, typing on a computer, immediately looked up when Tamaki entered. “Tamaki. There you are.” he said flatly. Two redheaded twins spoke up next, “Hey boss! We were wondering where you were!”
Tamaki just smiled at them. “Sorry, I had to make a small detour” He looked down at Haruhi with a grin. She rolled her eyes at the pun.
The first one to notice her was a blonde boy, who seemed much too young to be in highschool. “Who’s that, Tama-chan?”
“I am very glad you asked, Honey-Senpai!” Tamaki exclaimed, holding his hand out in a princely pose so that everyone could see the little human. “Everyone, it is my pleasure to introduce you to Haruhi Fujioka, the honor student!”
Haruhi felt her shoulders stiffen under the scrutiny of so many giants. She tried to stand as straight as she could. “Um, hello, everyone.” she said with a small wave.
The young boy’s eyes lit up, “Oh he’s so cute! Isn’t he adorable, Takashi?” Haruhi looked up at the tall man by the young boy’s side. He was easily the tallest giant she had seen that day. The man didn’t respond past a small nod.
Tamaki walked closer to the pair and held Haruhi to the young boy’s eye level so he could see her better. “Haruhi, this is Honey-Senpai and Mori-Senpai.” Haruhi barely got out a small “Hello,” before Tamaki moved on to the twins. Haruhi noticed he sounded considerably less enthusiastic when he said, “These two trouble-makers are Hikaru and Kaoru.” The two stared down at her with mischievous grins. “Aww, look at the little guy.” “What a cute little plaything.” they each said. The way they were talking about her made Haruhi a bit nervous.
“And last but not least,” Tamaki said as he moved to the final member, setting Haruhi down on the tall table he was seated at, “this is my second-in-command, Kyoya!” The dark-haired man turned away from his computer to look Haruhi up and down with a flat look. She pushed her nerves down and waved, “Hello, it’s nice to-
“So, I assume you are the reason for Tamaki’s tardiness today?” Kyoya interrupted.
Haruhi, startled out of her greeting, stuttered, “O-oh, I uh…”
Tamaki jumped in, “Kyoya, that was very rude. This man is our honored guest! I have been assigned to help him around the school grounds, it is not his fault that his class is further from the club room than mine.”
Kyoya just hummed and stared at Haruhi once more. Haruhi felt her hands fidget at her sides for a moment from the tension. Kyoya looked back up at Tamaki.
“And how much is Haruhi paying you for this?” he asked, despite knowing fully well that a little commoner like Haruhi couldn’t afford to pay Tamaki anything substantial. Haruhi was taken aback for a moment.
“P-paying? I- I can’t… the headmaster assigned him to me, I wasn’t aware that I had to-”
“I see,” Kyoya interrupts. “Well, be that as it may, Tamaki is our most popular host. His involvement in this club is crucial to its success. Taking you to your classes eats into his day and takes away time he could be focusing on the host club and our guests. Just today, bringing you here took away 15 minutes he could have been devoting to the club. Are you prepared to refund any losses his absence may cause?”
“I-uh-I-” Haruhi stuttered.
“I didn’t think so. In that case, maybe we can come to an agreement on another way for you to repay Tamaki for his time.”
“Now wait a minute!” Haruhi pointed a tiny finger at Kyoya. “I never asked for an escort! I don’t need him to-”
“You’re here on a scholarship, are you not?” Kyoya interrupted again, Haruhi really wished he’d stop doing that. “And that scholarship requires you to stay at the top of your class. Tell me, how do you plan on doing that if you are unable to get to your classes on time in the first place? This school is far too big for you to traverse on your own.” Kyoya had her there. Hell, she was barely taller than Tamaki’s finger, it would take Haruhi the entire class time just to get to the right room.
Tamaki’s eyes lit up as he connected the dots that Kyoya was laying out. “Oh, that’s right! You need a way to pay me for my services, and I would love a new little member for our guests to fawn over. So, it seems there’s only one thing to do.”
“Yes,” Kyoya joined in. “Under normal circumstances we would have you work off this debt by doing chores and running errands for us, but since your small stature prevents that, becoming a new source of entertainment for our guests should suffice.”
Haruhi did not like the sound of that. Then the twins jumped in.
“Oh, they would love that!” “And we would love to have a new little plaything too! What do you say, doll?”
Haruhi hated the sound of that even more.
“I mean,” said Kyoya, “it’s not like you really have a choice here, right?” The smile on his face was far too cheerful for what he was implying.
Haruhi was trapped.

🌸 Gentle Giants and Small Hearts 🌸
Pairing : Takashi "Mori" Morinozuka x Fem!Reader
Genre : ☁️🌷
Word count : ~1800
Summary : Despite being Mitsukuni "Honey" Haninozuka’s little sister, you’ve always felt overshadowed by your older brother. Your petite stature and quiet demeanor leave you feeling unworthy of someone as strong and dependable as Takashi Morinozuka. But when your feelings come to light during a quiet moment in the rose garden, Mori shows you that size has nothing to do with the strength of your heart—or his love for you.
TW/CW : Mentions of insecurity and self-doubt. Fluff and heartfelt confessions.
NOTIFICATIONS ꩜ ₊ ⊹! : First OHSHC oneshot! Mori had been my first crush when i first started watching OHSHC 📚
『••✎••』
The sun filtered through the grand windows of Ouran Academy, casting warm light over the Host Club's vibrant room. You sat quietly at a small table, your hands folded in your lap as you watched your older brother, Mitsukuni "Honey" Haninozuka, charm his guests.
As Honey's younger sister, you were used to being compared to him. You shared the same petite stature and cherubic features, often mistaken as the same age despite being a year younger. But unlike Honey, who exuded unshakable confidence, you often felt invisible in the Host Club’s bustling atmosphere.
Except when Takashi Morinozuka was around.
Mori, Honey’s ever-present companion, had always treated you with quiet kindness. His towering frame contrasted sharply with your diminutive size, but his gentle demeanor never failed to make you feel safe.
And that was the problem.
You’d fallen for him. Hard.
One afternoon, you sat alone on a bench in the academy's rose garden, your sketchbook open on your lap. You were sketching a picture of Mori from memory—his focused expression during kendo practice, his strong hands gripping the bamboo sword. You sighed, your pencil hovering over the page.
“I shouldn’t feel this way…” you murmured to yourself.
“About what?”
The deep voice startled you, and you nearly dropped your sketchbook. Looking up, you found Mori standing a few feet away, his usual calm expression in place.
“Oh! T-Takashi!” you stammered, quickly shutting the sketchbook. “I didn’t hear you coming.”
He tilted his head slightly, his dark eyes narrowing in curiosity. “Are you okay? You look upset.”
You shook your head, forcing a smile. “I’m fine, really.”
But Mori didn’t move. He crouched down to your level, his large hand resting on the edge of the bench. “You can tell me,” he said softly.
Your heart raced. His kindness only made the ache in your chest worse. “It’s… silly,” you mumbled, looking away.
“I’ll listen,” he insisted, his voice steady.
You took a deep breath, clutching the sketchbook to your chest. “I just… I feel like I don’t deserve someone like you.”
His eyebrows furrowed. “What do you mean?”
“I mean, look at me,” you said, your voice trembling. “I’m tiny, I’m not strong, and I’m always in Honey’s shadow. You deserve someone who can stand beside you, not someone who’ll always look like a kid.”
For a moment, Mori said nothing. You stared at the ground, wishing you could disappear. Then, to your surprise, he reached out and gently took the sketchbook from your hands.
He flipped it open, his eyes scanning the pages until he stopped at the sketch of himself.
“You drew this?” he asked.
You nodded, too embarrassed to speak.
Mori studied the drawing for a moment before looking back at you. “You see me like this?”
You hesitated, then nodded again.
A small, rare smile curved his lips. “Then you’re wrong about one thing.”
Your head snapped up, confusion written across your face.
“You say you’re small, but your heart isn’t. You care about people. About me.” He held up the sketchbook. “This shows how much you notice. How much you care.”
“T-Takashi…”
He moved closer, his large hand gently cupping your cheek. “You don’t have to change anything about yourself. You’re enough, just as you are.”
Tears welled in your eyes, and you couldn’t hold them back. “You really mean that?”
He nodded, his thumb brushing away a tear. “I do.”
From that day forward, things between you and Mori changed. He began spending more time with you, offering quiet encouragement when you doubted yourself and standing by your side during Host Club events.
Honey noticed, of course, and he couldn’t help but tease the two of you. “Takashi, you’re stealing my little sister!” he pouted one day, though his grin gave away his approval.
Mori simply shrugged, his usual stoicism intact. “She’s special,” he said simply, and that was all the explanation Honey needed.
As time passed, you began to see yourself through Mori’s eyes—not as someone small and insignificant, but as someone worthy of love and respect.
And every time he looked at you, his dark eyes filled with quiet admiration, you knew he felt the same.

Ouran's Giant Host Club: One Shot
A Small Rest
Main Story
Hi! Sorry, I know it's been so long!
I made this quick, short one shot to try and cure my writer's block so I can finally finish episode 2. I can't promise it'll come out any time soon, since my chances for free time are few and far between, but I do promise that I am working on it
Thank y'all for your patience and I hope you like this one shot!
----------------------------------------------------
Giant voices rumbled over Haruhi’s head as she stood on the edge of a page, staring down at the jumbled notes scribbled on it. She took a glance around the rest of the table, covered in blurry drawings and photos that swirled and meshed into a sea of colors that Haruhi couldn’t make sense of. Her mind felt clouded, and she couldn’t remember what she was supposed to be doing.
The sudden sound of snapping fingers startled the little human from her thoughts, and her vision cleared long enough to look up at the giant boy standing over her, calling her name.
“Haruhi! Are you even paying attention?” Hikaru asked with a tinge of annoyance in his voice. Haruhi turned her head, noticing Kauru and Tamaki looking at her expectantly.
“Huh?” She asked after a long blink. Kauru held up a picture of…costumes?
“We asked which color you think would work best. We can’t agree.” the boy said, pointing to some of the options.
“Oh…yeah um…” she mumbled, rubbing one of her eyes. Now she remembered. She had been put in a group with Tamaki and the twins to discuss plans for an upcoming event.
“Maybe the, um… the blue?” her words came out slowly, and unsure.
Tamaki glanced at the twins, then back down at Haruhi.
“...Which blue?” he asked after a moment.
Haruhi looked back at the options, but found her mind going a bit foggy again. She swayed a bit on her feet as she tried to remember the question she’d been asked.
Hikaru snapped his fingers again, this time much closer to his tiny clubmate. Haruhi jumped at the loud noise, covering one of her ears.
“Stop doing that…” she said just loud enough for the giants to hear her, barely. All 3 frowned at her slightly slurred words.
“Are you okay?” Tamaki asked.
“I’m fine just… didn’t get a lot of sleep last night, I had to study.” Her answer was an understatement; she hadn’t slept at all. Haruhi shook her head in an attempt to clear her mind, but she just couldn’t seem to focus.
“Are you talking about that biology test we have coming up?” Kauru said, concerned, “We could have helped you study if you asked, you didn’t have to stay up all night.”
“Yeah, I thought you were supposed to be the responsible one,” Hikaru joked, nudging Haruhi lightly in the side. The poke made her stumble, and as she regained her footing, she noticed Tamaki kneeling down next to the table to be on the human’s level.
Tamaki’s eyebrows furrowed at his little friend’s state. “How long has it been since you slept?”
Haruhi had to think for a moment. How long had it been? She pulled an all-nighter last night, but had she slept the night before? She couldn’t recall.
For Tamaki, her silence was answer enough.
“Alright,” he said decidedly. He lightly smacked his hands on the table as he stood back up. “Come on, let’s go.”
He scooped Haruhi up into his hands. Her eyes went wide at the unexpected action and she tried to sit up in the giant’s cupped palm. “W-what? Where are we going?”
Tamaki walked over to the pair of lounge couches in the room. He laid down on one before carefully setting Haruhi down on his chest. “We’re just taking a quick break.”
Haruhi tried to get back up. “But what about-”
“Don’t worry about that,” the giant interrupted. He laid a hand over the human, keeping her from getting up. “We’ll keep working on it after.”
Haruhi stared up at him for a moment before laying her head back down on his chest. The fabric underneath her was so comfortable, and the large hand gently holding her in place was so warm. She didn't want to stop working, but she could feel her exhaustion pulling her towards sleep.
“Maybe just for a minute,” she said softly, her little eyes drifting shut.
Tamaki smiled at the sight of his clubmate getting some well-deserved rest. He ran a cautious finger down her small back, rising and falling in slow breaths.
“Hey boss,” Hikaru walked over to the couches, “you can’t just leave us like that. Kyoya will have our heads if we don’t-”
“Shhhhh…” Tamaki shushed him, pointing down to the sleeping human. Haruhi only stirred a bit at the noise, curling into a little ball. “Kyoya will live. We’ll finish it later.”
Tamaki placed his other hand over Haruhi, shielding her from the rest of the world, before closing his eyes as well. His tiny friend needed sleep, and that’s all that mattered.

Ouran's Giant Host Club Chapter 2
Chapter 1 Next
Yeah, I can't think of a good title RIP.
I just got a reblog that mentioned the instant coffee bit. I have tragic news: I forgor. The instant coffee bit is not here :( I am so sorry, if I come across an opportunity to include it in the future I absolutely will. Anyway, enjoy, part 3 will be here on Friday.
-------------------------------------------------
“Well, first things first,” the twins said with unnatural synchronization, “we need to get rid of this grubby outfit.” Hikaru nudged Haruhi with a finger that was nearly as tall as she was.
“What? What’s wrong with my clothes?” Haruhi may not be able to afford the fancy uniforms the other students had, especially with the extra fees that came with getting it custom sized, but her button-up and sweater worked fine for her, at least it was comfortable.
Tamaki shook his head. “The very first rule of being a host is that you must look presentable.” He pointed at Haruhi. “We simply cannot let you walk around in those unflattering clothes.”
“We don’t currently have any uniforms that would fit you.” Kyoya added, typing away on his computer. “We could put in a custom order but it would likely take a few days to arrive.”
“Oh! Oh!” Honey raised his hand, waving it in excitement. “We could dress you up in doll clothes! That would be super cute! Right, Takashi?”
Once again, Mori didn’t respond past a slight nod.
Tamaki squealed, “That would be adorable!”
“Yeah, then you really would be like our little doll!” The twins laughed. Without warning, they grabbed Haruhi, holding her right up to their faces. “Believe it or not, there are plenty of people here that collect dolls, I’m sure we can score something for you, little guy!”
“Now, now, you two, hold on a minute.” Tamaki rushed towards them. “Our goal here is to teach this young man how to be a gentleman. We must lead by example!” He declared, holding out his hand. The twins reluctantly handed Haruhi over to Tamaki, who promptly held her cupped to his chest. Despite what Tamaki had said, she didn't find this any more respectful than how the twins were holding her. “Sorry about them, I'm sure we can find somewhere to get you some decent clothes as soon as our club hours end.”
“On the contrary,” Kyoya turned his computer screen towards the others, though Haruhi couldn’t see it from where she was. “It seems the school was more prepared for an arrival like yours than I thought. It says here we can order him a uniform and pick it up as soon as tomorrow morning, so there’s no need to waste our money on other clothes.”
Tamaki pouted a little on not being able to dress up this cute little guy, but quickly got over it. “Well, that settles that. Now, as the king of this host club I order you to go home and get some rest, we’ve got a big day of training tomorrow, so be ready.”
Haruhi felt faint. Is this really happening? I don’t know if I can handle this.
The next morning, Haruhi arrived at the school, and once again, Tamaki met her at the gated entrance, this time holding a little box.
“Haruhi! Your uniforms arrived!” he cheered, setting the box on the ground next to him, and although the box was small to him, it was huge to Haruhi. Easily a few times bigger than she was. She walked over to the box and tried to open it, but its sheer size made it very difficult for her. She found herself getting frustrated as she pushed with all her might, only for the lid to stubbornly stay in place. She was simply too outsized.
Tamaki, on the other hand, hid a grin behind his hand at the adorable sight of Haruhi struggling to open the box. Taking pity, he reached down and opened it for her, making her stumble.
Straightening herself back out and clearing her throat, Haruhi peers into the box, revealing a few tiny uniforms.
After Tamaki took her to a changing room, Haruhi put on the academy’s blue uniform, surprised by how perfectly it fit her. How did that weird guy with the glasses get my measurements? She thought to herself, running a hand over her uniform to feel the fabric. Wait, isn’t this the male uniform? I guess they really do think I’m a boy. Oh well. She couldn’t care less honestly, she had much bigger problems to deal with.
As soon as her classes ended, Tamaki once again brought Haruhi to the club room. Instead of staying with Haruhi, this time Tamaki dropped her off with Honey at his table. “Today, I’m thinking it would be good to pair you up with Honey-Senpai, and he can show you the ropes on how to entertain guests with your cuteness.”
Haruhi looked up at Honey, who smiled wide back at her. “Tamaki-Senpai,” she looked back to the taller man, “I don’t think-”
Tamaki cut her off. “Of course, it won’t be the same playing field for you. While you are both appealing, Honey more so fits into the ‘boy-lolita’ category, and you are utterly adorable in a completely different way!” Haruhi groaned quietly, but Tamaki kept going, “Despite that, I still think Honey-Senpai has plenty to show you about how to captivate young ladies! Have fun!”
Tamaki’s appointments went by quickly. He was busy entertaining a few girls, spinning colorful compliments and poetry-like responses meant to woo any young lady. One in particular, Seika Ayanokoji, interrupted another girl’s swooning to start a conversation.
“So, Tamaki, I heard that the host club is keeping a little kitten without a pedigree.”
Tamaki laughs, “I don’t know that I’d call him that, but speaking of, our newest member is actually here right now with Honey-Senpai. I thought pairing them up together would be good for our guests looking for something to coo over. I can introduce you if you’d like.”
Ayanokoji smiled. “That would be lovely.”
The two headed over to Honey and Mori’s table, where three girls were currently busy fawning over the tiny human.
“This is Haru-chan, isn’t he cute, ladies?” Honey asks while squishing Haruhi right up against the side of his face. As a chorus of “awww”s came from the girls, Haruhi wanted nothing more than to get out of this kid's grip and back on solid ground.
Mori, seeing her discomfort, gently took Haruhi from Honey and placed her back on the table. Honey was a bit surprised, but ended up just shrugging it off and going back to talking with the girls.
Thank goodness Haruhi thought.
Just then, Tamaki arrived at the table, waving at Haruhi. “Hey there little piglet, I wanted to introduce you to someone.”
What? Piglet? Haruhi was getting a bit sick of these weird nicknames.
Tamaki gestured to the woman standing beside him. “Haruhi, this is my regular guest, Princess Seika Ayanokoji.”
“Charmed, I’m sure.” the woman said with a strange smile. Haruhi tried to hide her scowl from the lady’s odd tone. Is this girl really a princess? Haruhi kept a neutral look on her face as she greeted the giant, “It’s a pleasure to meet you, ma’am.”
“I’ve taken the little one under my wing,” Tamaki announced with a smile, “with my gracious guidance, I will make sure this young man becomes the finest gentleman he can be!”
Ayano giggles to herself, “Oh, Tamaki, now you’re taking the joke too far.” Haruhi couldn’t help but feel like the laugh was condescending. “He might be cute, but someone of your importance doesn’t need to associate themselves with little commoners like this. It’s not a good look.” She then looked back down at Haruhi, her expression making it seem like she had forgotten the human was there, though Haruhi was smart enough to know it was fake. “Oh I’m sorry,” Ayanokoji continued, “I’m sure you understand.”
Hardly, thought Haruhi, why do all these damn rich people insist on talking about me like that?
Tamaki hardly takes note of the interaction, going right back to conversing with his guests. Haruhi can feel her eye twitch a little from annoyance. These damn rich people…
Suddenly, Haruhi is snatched from behind and carried across the room “Wha- hey! Put me down!” She is set down on an empty counter. “Hey! You can’t just grab people like that! It’s really-!” She turns around and jumps, it’s Kyoya.
The scary one.
“Apologies, but I needed to speak with you in private.” He said. As intimidating as he was, Haruhi still felt like she had to say something. “Yeah well, next time you can just ask!”
His expression is unreadable. “Alright. I wanted to give you a word of advice. You are paying for Tamaki’s time by working for us but, as you’ve likely noticed, Tamaki is a very big draw for the club. His request rate is 70%.” Haruhi furrowed her eyebrows, not sure where this was going.
Kyoya suddenly leaned over Haruhi, his hands on either side of her. Seen from this angle, he became a huge, shadowy figure. She couldn’t stop a shiver of intimidation from running up her spine.
“That means,” he continued, far too close for comfort, “you will have to work very hard to get your request rating high enough to be worth his time. And you may think that just because you’re small, we won’t be able to keep tabs on you. But know this-” he leaned even closer, his face mere inches away from Haruhi. This close, his eyes take up her entire vision. She clenched her fists tight to her side to slow her shaking. “-my family alone employs a private police force of 100 officers. There is nowhere you can go where we won’t find you. So you’d better make your involvement here worth it to us, and especially to me.”
“W-what are you implying?” Haruhi shakingly asked, taking a few hesitant steps back.
Kyoya whispered, “If I were you, I would put in a lot more effort than you are right now.” He then straightened back up, and walked away as if nothing had happened. Haruhi’s legs felt like jelly, but she managed to stay standing anyway. What is that guy’s problem?
“There you are, my little nerd!” Tamaki greeted her, using a fingertip to ruffle up her short hair.
Not noticing his approach, Haruhi jumped back with a gasp as his finger touched her head. Trying to steady her breathing, she ran her hand through her hair to straighten it back out. “Please don’t do that again.”
Tamaki took a moment to look her up and down. “Hmm…That uniform is a good start but we really need to get you a makeover, otherwise people will eventually get bored of your itty-bittyness, and then no girl is going to look twice at you.”
Haruhi can’t stop herself from rolling her eyes, which, thanks to her glasses, Tamaki doesn’t notice. “Yeah, well, I’m not trying to get girls to look at me.” Honestly, the thought of being constantly stared at and prodded by a bunch of giants didn’t seem appealing to Haruhi at all, no matter what gender the giants were.
“Are you kidding me?” Tamaki replied, shocked. “It’s the most important thing! You have to learn to be a gentleman and please the ladies, like me.” He said, striking a princely pose. “That is, of course,” He stared back down at Haruhi, “if you want a chance of paying us back for my services.” He winked at her.
Haruhi almost rolled her eyes again, before she remembered Kyoya’s barely concealed threat. Clenching her fists behind her back, she sighed. “Fine. What do I need to do?”
“Well,” Haruhi jumped at 2 voices coming from right behind her. How do these massive guys keep sneaking up on me like that? “We can start by getting rid of these awful glasses.” One of the twins (Hikaru) said, and attempted to pinch her glasses with 2 massive fingers. The glasses were far too tiny for him to grip, but he did manage to make them fall off of her face, nearly knocking Haruhi over as well.
“Hey! Stop! You’ll break those!” She tried to pick the glasses back up, but the twin swept them off the table and into his hand before she could. “Give those back! I lost my contacts before school, I need those glasses!”
Hikaru stared at the glasses in his palm nearly in awe. He poked at the pair with his finger, noting with fascination how much his fingertip alone outsized them. Pushing that out of his mind, he looks back at Tamaki, surprised to see a shocked expression on his boss's face. That look was matched by the other club members as well. Hikaru looked back to Haruhi, his eyes going wide.
As tiny as Haruhi was, and as difficult as it was to see her eyes from more than a foot away, her eyes were beautiful.
Tamaki suddenly snapped his fingers, taking everyone out of the trance. Their attention on him, he commanded, “Kyoya, look up the nearest human eye doctor, and get this man some contacts.” Kyoya immediately started typing on his computer.
Mori, find some human hair supplies.” Mori obediently rushes off.
Tamaki pointed at the twins, “You two, take this man and do whatever you need to do to make him look the part.”
The twins’ faces brightened, “You’ve got it, boss!” They grabbed Haruhi and ran over to the changing room for supplies.
Finally, Tamaki turned to the last remaining member. “Honey-Senpai,” Honey’s eyes lit up. “…go have some cake.” Honey’s face fell, and he defeatedly walked back to his table.
After a non-specific amount of time, Haruhi was back on the table, all done up. Tamaki’s eyes were sparkling as he looked at her. “Cute! You’re as pretty as a girl!” he squealed, hands on his face as he was nearly overcome with awe, “Adorable!” Haruhi looked down at herself. Oh right, they think I’m a boy….Whatever.
Honey-Senpai smiled wide, “Wow Haru-chan! You look great!”
The twins held two thumbs up. “If we’d known that’s how you really look”-”we would have helped you sooner!”
“Who knows,” Kyoya added, adjusting his glasses, “looking like that he might actually draw in some customers.”
Tamaki jumped in. “Speaking of which, I’d say now is a good time to make our deal official,” he pointed at Haruhi, “if you can get 1,000 customers to request your service, we’ll consider ourselves even.”
So this is really happening…

Ouran's Giant Host Club Episode 2
The Job of a High School Host
Episode 1 Next
Guess who finished with their finals and finally got to finish this! I had so much fun writing this one, and I really really want to get at least 1 more episode written before summer ends. This is part 1/3 of the 2nd episode. Part 2 will be out on Saturday. I hope y'all enjoy!
--------------------------------------------
The Ouran library. A quiet building on the school grounds with the largest collection of books Haruhi had ever seen. Books on every subject you could ever imagine. This should be Haruhi’s favorite place in school, but…
As Haruhi went to turn to the next page in her book, a giant’s hand passed above and turned the page for her.
“Senpai,” Haruhi groaned, exasperated. She craned her neck up to Tamaki, who was sitting at her table, directly behind where she was standing. “I can turn the pages myself.”
“I don’t mind,” Tamaki smiled. The book was made for giants, so it was easily a dozen times bigger than Haruhi was, and it had to be propped up so she could read without standing on the pages. Normally, she would insist on studying alone, but she didn’t bother fooling herself. She wasn’t strong enough to open any of the hardcover textbooks, let alone get them off the shelves. As much as she hated to admit it, she needed Tamaki’s help, again. And the prick was enjoying every second of it. Haruhi felt her eye twitch in frustration at the stupid smile Tamaki had, looking down at her from where his head was propped on his hand. Does this guy ever go to his own classes?
As Haruhi turned and sat back down in front of the pages, Tamaki couldn’t help the huge grin he had as he stared at the little human, reading a book with letters as big as her hand. She was just so adorable.
Haruhi hated having the giant staring down at her, so she tried to focus on her textbook. It was difficult though, and not just because of the staring. Haruhi tried to pull her uniform’s blazer tighter around her as a shiver went down her body. Winter had just ended, but it still felt freezing outside to Haruhi. The school had a good heating system, but her skin and jacket were much thinner than the giants’, so the cold of the building affected her a lot more. Tamaki must have noticed, because just as another chill went down Haruhi’s arms, she felt a giant palm press lightly against her side, the fingers curling in just enough to not block the pages of her book.
She glanced up at Tamaki with a frown. “I’m fine, Senpai. You don’t have to do that,” she grumbled as she scooted away from the warm hand.
Tamaki just chuckled and moved his hand back against Haruhi’s side. “I know.”
Haruhi just sighed and resigned herself to leaning against the boy’s palm. At least it wasn’t as cold anymore.
10 short minutes later, a bell rang out across the school. Tamaki wasted no time in gathering the books and scooping Haruhi up into his hands. Haruhi grabbed onto one of his fingers to keep herself from toppling over from the sudden movements. She grumbled to herself out of principle, but she couldn’t fault Tamaki for that. She doubted he even realized how much the movement affected her as he rushed to the club room.
Once she got her bearings she called up to Tamaki, “What’s going on, Senpai? I know you love the club but this is a lot of excitement, even for you.”
“I’ve got a special surprise waiting for our guests,” he lightly nudged her little shoulder, “You’re gonna love it!”
Haruhi held on tight as Tamaki practically sprinted down the hallways. The movement was disorienting, but at least the trip was quicker than normal. Before she knew it, they had arrived at the door.
Though Tamaki wanted to fling the doors open in his eagerness, he controlled himself enough to open the door slowly for a more dramatic reveal.
The clubroom was completely jungle themed. There were trees covering nearly the entire room, enough so that the walls couldn’t be seen. Many of the trees were real, Haruhi noted, but most of the other plants were not, instead being scaled-up versions of tropical flora, assumedly to match with the giants and their visitors.
Her eyes widened as she saw a huge snake slither its way up one of the tree trunks, before quickly realizing that it was also fake, some sort of robotic contraption. She felt the tension leave her shoulders. At least they have some reasonable safety in mind, she thought. Though she wouldn’t put it past them to have some real animals in the clubroom, at least these ones didn’t pose her any threat.
Finally, she noticed her clubmates. As Tamaki took a few steps into the room, the rest of the boys greeted them with a synchronized, “Welcome!” as flower petals fluttered around them. Each of them had on a unique, Bali-inspired outfit that seemed much too revealing to offer them any resistance against the cold. With this thought, however, Haruhi noticed that the room was considerably warmer than anywhere else she had been that day.
In her confusion, Haruhi barely took note when Tamaki set her down on a long, wooden table, is this a tiki bar?, and ran off, presumably to change into his own costume.
The twins looked down at her with mock disappointment. “You two finally made it. Haruhi, you’re so late.”
Haruhi’s eye twitched as she answered, “My study period just ended, and I could be wrong, but my calendar says it’s still early spring.”
At that, Tamaki slid back in the room, now donning a “Bali King” costume to match with the others. “Hiding under a kotatsu table fearing the cold is nonsense,” he said with a proud grin, “and besides, the heating system we have is the best.” Haruhi groaned at his obnoxious display.
“Do you have a problem with the way we run our club, Haruhi?” Kyoya asked without looking away from his clipboard, “Be careful what you say; you’re relying on us to make it to graduation, remember?”
Haruhi flinched at the brief, intimidating glance Kyoya sent her. Even if the snakes were real, the host club’s vice president would still be the scariest thing there.
She decided to focus back on Tamaki, looking him up and down while not-so-subtly judging his flowy, revealing clothing. Tamaki noticed her attention and took out a fan, striking another pose with it.
“Gentlemen don’t bundle up in bulky clothing,” he declared as the twins struck their own poses around him. A loud laugh from Honey made Haruhi realize that he and Mori were now running around the room. “It may be chilly early spring out there in the real world, but here at the club, we want to surprise our chilly little kittens,” Tamaki mussed up Haruhi’s hair with a gentle fingertip, which she tried to push away, “with a warm, tropical paradise!”
Before Haruhi could get her footing back from the ruffling, Tamaki swept her up to his chest in another princely stance. Haruhi hated being dragged into poses like that.
Tamaki took no notice of Haruhi’s discomfort. “Oh, yes! We’ve turned this place into Nirvana,” he continued as the human tried to push away from him, “A balmy, tropical island of everlasting summer!” He was holding Haruhi right up against the golden collar of his robe, and the metal made her even colder than before, ironically defeating Tamaki’s claimed purpose of the room’s set up.
“That’s funny ‘cause I feel a massive chill right now.” And she wasn’t talking about the temperature.
She jumped as an animatronic chameleon suddenly shot its tongue out into the air. Tamaki noticed and chuckled, curling his fingers a bit more around her. Haruhi was getting very sick of this club very fast.
THE HOST CLUB IS NOW OPEN FOR BUSINESS
Haruhi stood on the Tiki Bar, looking out to the other members and their guests. She had no scheduled appointments for that moment, so she didn’t have much to do. Tamaki had offered her a human-sized chair, but she declined, not wanting to see what kind of cutesy furniture Tamaki had purchased for her.
To the human’s dismay, Kyoya did not have any scheduled meetings at the time either, and so stood right next to the bar. He barely acknowledged her presence as he scribbled something down onto his clipboard, but she was still no more comfortable around the giant.
“I see you watching the others, Haruhi.” She flinched as Kyoya suddenly addressed her. So he did realize I was here. Awesome, she thought sarcastically.
“That’s clever of you,” Kyoya continued. “Observational learning will ideally help you raise your request rating.”
Haruhi couldn’t help a small scoff at that. “What am I supposed to learn from these guys?” She said, crossing her arms and turning her head away from the giant.
At her words, Kyoya stopped writing. He lowered his pencil to the human, using the eraser to angle her head back towards the other club members.
Haruhi’s breath caught in her throat as the pencil forced her to look where Kyoya wanted her to.
“Just watch.” He said in a slightly demanding tone. “Attaining different strategies can help you appeal to a wider range of guests.” Haruhi hesitated on the thought of disobeying him. He really was terrifying, though she couldn’t even tell if he meant to be that way.
She watched Tamaki first. He was with 3 ladies, all already thoroughly enraptured by his princely attributes and poetic words.
“What heartlessness,” he said elegantly, “Even with my lustrous skin shining like brilliant ivory, exposed by my Balinese king outfit, I am no more than a slave before my goddess. I kneel before you and swear my loyalty.” He leaned in close to one of the girls, holding her chin delicately as her face burned red.
“Tamaki…” she swooned.
“Lucky…” the other girls mumbled with adoration in their eyes.
Haruhi rolled her eyes at the boy’s antics. Even without the size difference in the way, Haruhi didn’t think she could ever be that physical with any of her guests. The mental image of her even attempting that, especially at her size, was nothing short of ridiculous to her.
She was pulled out of these thoughts as Tamaki continued. “Oh, yes, I almost forgot to mention to you ladies. Next week, the Ouran Host Club is sponsoring a party.”
Haruhi looked up at Kyoya in confusion, “We’re throwing a party?”
Before Kyoya could respond, both of their attentions were taken by another guest speaking up to Hikaru and Kaoru. “What kind of party is it going to be? Is it going to be formal?” she asked.
“Yes,” Hikaru answered casually, “In fact, we’ve rented the school’s largest hall.”
“It’s the perfect place for dancing,” Kaoru finished.
Then, Hikaru leaned in close to the other boy, practically draping himself over where his brother was sitting. “But I really wanted to spend some alone time with you, Kaoru.” Kaoru blushed slightly. “Don’t be upset, Hikaru. I know exactly how you feel.”
They seem to flirt with each other more than with the girls. Haruhi thought with a grimace. Weird… She knew they were just acting for their guests, but it was still a strange sight to see. The ladies seem to enjoy it though, as they chattered excitedly at the boys.
Haruhi turned back to Kyoya, “The guests seem to be even more worked up than they usually are.”
“Showing some skin proves popular with the ladies.” He said with a noncommittal expression.
“So, are you the one who came up with this ‘tropical paradise’ idea?” Haruhi asked accusingly. This idea was dumb enough to be Tamaki’s, but she felt it was working too well to be solely his doing.
“I have no decision making authority,” he said, going back to writing, “All of the club’s policies have been laid out by the club’s king, Tamaki.”
“But,” he glanced sideways at the human with a small grin, “I guess there’s no harm in admitting to casually slipping a Bali photo book onto his desk.”
Haruhi furrowed her eyebrows. So, he’s the real brains behind the operation. It seemed Kyoya had even more power that Haruhi had given him credit for. The thought unnerved her slightly.
Suddenly, a loud, youthful voice proclaimed “Ta-da!”
Haruhi looked to see Honey with a lei around his neck, showing it off to the girls at his table.
“Oh, you’re so cute, Honey!” they cooed over him accordingly. That excited smile that never seemed to completely leave the boy’s face widened.
“Hi, ladies!” he greeted. “I love these Balinese flowers. We had them flown in!”
Soon, his companion arrived with some fruit for the guests. “Takashi!” Honey exclaimed, rushing up Mori’s side to place an identical lei around his neck before hugging onto his shoulder. “There! We match!” The girls swooned and ‘awwwwed’ at the sight.
I’m still thoroughly confused by the two of them, Haruhi thought. She turned to look up at Kyoya again to ask him what exactly she was supposed to learn from all this, before being interrupted by another voice joining them.
“Um, Haruhi?” one giant girl asked, having walked up to the tiki bar with another girl without the human noticing.
They were standing so close, Haruhi had to strain her neck a bit to look up to their faces. She took a few steps back before turning fully towards them.
“Aren’t you going to wear a tropical outfit like the other boys?” the young lady finished her question.
“Yeah, I’d like to see that!” the other chimed in.
Haruhi held her hands out awkwardly, blushing a bit. “Oh, well, no I… I just don’t think it’s appropriate to wear anything but early spring attire in early spring, y’know?” She hated the idea of wearing something with so little cover. Not to mention, even with the heating system, Haruhi knew she would get chilly in such a bare outfit.
Just then, Tamaki appeared. “But we have one ready for you, Haruhi! I think you’ll like it!” He exclaimed as he held up a tiny mannequin with a Balinese queen costume, matching his own kingly attire, “You and I are a pair!”
Haruhi hated that idea even more.
“No thanks,” she said flatly. What was this guy even thinking? What was the point of pretending she’s a boy if Tamaki kept insisting on dressing her up like a girl’s doll?
“Wow Haruhi,” one of the girls giggled, “you’re really faithful to the different seasons, aren’t you?” Thankfully they didn’t seem too upset that the little human wouldn’t match with the theme.
“I think that’s great!” another said, “I hope we’re lucky enough that the cherry blossoms are in full bloom on the night of the party.
“Imagine dancing among the cherry blossoms,” the girl blushed with her eyes closed, lost in her own fantasy, “It’s so dreamy.”
“You really think so?” Haruhi said with a smile, oddly elated to see the girls so happy. “You know, ladies, I think it’s so cute when you dream like that.”
The butterflies in the girls’ stomachs matched the ones fluttering around the room as they stared down at the host. She looked so tiny compared to everything on the bar, and their eyes shone with adoration. Haruhi really was a promising rookie, whether she chose to realize it or not.
Another young woman then joined them. “Excuse me,” she said politely, “I hate to disturb, but I believe I have an appointment.”
“Oh, I’m sorry,” Haruhi apologized, “You must be my first client, Miss… um…”
“My name’s Kanako. Kanako Kasugazaki” she finished for her. Although she wore a kind smile, there was a strange, distant look in her eyes that Haruhi couldn’t help but notice, especially since the giant’s eyes were bigger than the human’s head.
The young lady sat down at the tiki bar. She put a finger under Haruhi’s chin, gently tilting the little head up to look at her.
“You’re even cuter than I expected,” Kanako said as she leaned in close. “I’ve decided. From now on, you’re going to be my new favorite host, Haruhi.”
Despite the girl’s face taking up nearly all of her vision, Haruhi managed to notice Tamaki’s double take at Kanako’s comment.

Ouran's Giant Host Club Chapter 3
First Previous Next
Y'all strap in, everything's about to go to shit. /j
This one's a little shorter. To compensate, the next part will be out tomorrow, and that will be the end of episode one.
--------------------------------------------------
In all honesty, Haruhi’s first solo meeting wasn’t terrible. She stood on a table with three guests. The three giant girls were sweet, if a little overwhelming. They weren’t nearly as grabby with Haruhi as the other hosts were, but their non-stop questions were not a great upgrade.
Seemingly endless rounds of questions, cut-offs, and more questions, not to mention all of the fawning.
“How do you get around?”
“Well, actually, Tamaki-”
“Who does the work in your house?”
“Oh, I do most of-”
“How do you do chores?”
“Like anyone else. My house is my siz-”
“Look at your little uniform! It’s so adorable!”
“Um, thank-”
Haruhi could barely get a few words out before they jumped to the next question. After what felt like an eternity of this, one of them asked “What do you like to do?”
Haruhi waited a moment to see if one of the girls would interrupt her again. After a few seconds of nothing but wide, curious eyes staring down at her, she answered., “Well, I like to cook, my mother taught me. She was an amazing cook. When she went to the hospital, she left me all kinds of great recipes.” She could hear the giants’ quiet ‘aww’s over this answer, but chose to ignore the cooing. “It was fun to create each dish, especially when they turned out well. And it made me happy to see my dad enjoy it.” Haruhi smiled softly down to herself, “I’ve had a hard childhood, but,” she looked back up to the girls, seeing the awe in their eyes, “Dad and I have managed to make it through okay.”
As the questions started up again, Haruhi couldn’t quite understand why the girls seemed so interested in her. She wasn’t used to this much attention. Apparently, she wasn’t the only one with this question. From the corner of her eye, she could see Tamaki spying from his table.
Tamaki listened intently from the background. Haruhi’s little voice was hard to make out from more than a few feet away, but he managed to fill in the gaps. He was honestly surprised by how eager the girls were to sit with the human again tomorrow.
“How is he so popular?” Tamaki wondered to himself. The twins, having no guests at the moment, were sitting close by and answered, “Well, he’s a natural-” “-And anyway, it’s rare for people at this school to see a human up close, much less get to talk to one for this long.”
“Have you forgotten about me?” A feminine voice drew Tamaki’s attention back to his current guest; Ayanokoji.
Tamaki hummed. “Oh no, sorry princess. I’m just a little bit concerned about our newest host.”
“Well that’s obvious, Tamaki,” she took a sip of her tea. Setting the cup down elegantly, she gave Tamaki a look. “You sure have been keeping an eye on him.”
Tamaki gave her a charming smile, “Of course, I have to,” He looked back at Haruhi’s table thoughtfully, “He’s so tiny, and he’s not used to being around giants. I just don’t want him to have a bad experience here. Not to mention, I’m training him to be a gentleman, like me.” Tamaki brushed a hand through his hair, looking back at Ayano. “Speaking of,” he held his hand out to the lady, smiling, “Why don’t we go check on our little friend?”
The two giants got to Haruhi’s table just in time to hear her saying goodbye to her guests, “Goodbye, it was a pleasure to meet you!” she says with a smile and a little wave. The girls giggled as they walked away.
Tamaki grinned wide at the sight and swept Haruhi up in his hands, squeezing her against his chest. “That was so cute!” he squealed as he spun around, “That air of bashfulness was very good! Super good! Amazingly good!”
“S-Senpai!” Haruhi pushed at Tamaki’s fingers with all of her strength, but they didn’t budge. The spinning felt like being thrown onto a roller coaster without warning, and she did not like it. As she kicked and pushed at the giant’s hands and chest, she looked frantically around the room for an escape. The spinning was disorienting, and she struggled to see anything in the quickly-moving room, but she did spot something, or rather, someone.
Mori.
Remembering how the especially-tall giant had helped her with Honey before, she decided to take the chance. She managed to squeeze a little arm between Tamaki’s huge fingers and reached out to Mori. Hoping her voice wouldn’t be muffled too much, she shouted,
“Mori-Senpai! Help me!”
Hearing this, Mori immediately rushed over, grabbing Tamaki and sweeping Haruhi into his hand. Haruhi took a moment to catch her breath as she was held gently in his open palm. Not ideal, but much better than the fists that she’s sadly getting used to.
Tamaki stopped, surprised. “Uh, Mori-Senpai,” he said awkwardly, “you really didn’t need to go that far.” He reached out for Haruhi again. “C’mon little one!” Tamaki giggled, “let daddy give you a big hug!” (← quoted from the show! I didn’t come up with that! I’m not a freak lol!)
Mori curled his fingers around Haruhi a bit, just enough to shield her from Tamaki’s hands.
Haruhi stood up in the hand, bracing herself against one of Mori’s fingers and scowling up at Tamaki. “Stop it! I’ve already got a dad, I don’t need another one!”
While the argument went on, Princess Ayanokoji sat to the side, glaring at the little human.
Haruhi sighed and craned her neck to look up at Mori, “I think I need a moment to myself.”
Mori obediently let Haruhi back down at her table and walked off, dragging Tamaki behind him and slightly shaking the table beneath her with their steps. A short minute later, as Haruhi took a breath, she heard, and felt, giant footsteps coming up behind her. Expecting Tamaki again, she turned around to scold him, but froze at the sight of Ayanokoji staring down at her. “Oh, h-hello-”
Before Haruhi can finish greeting the giant, Ayano interrupts her. “I bet you love having Tamaki making you over and fawning over you.” Haruhi furrowed her eyebrows at the princess’s words as she continued, “It’s useless though, you’ll always be a second-class citizen.”
Ayano walks away, subtly bumping the table just hard enough to make Haruhi stumble.
I didn’t think there were bullies at this school. Haruhi thinks, brushing off her uniform, I guess they’re everywhere.
The next day, as Tamaki carried Haruhi over to her assigned table, the human was surprised to see Ayanokoji sitting there. As Tamaki quickly greeted her and walked away, Haruhi smiled up at the giant, deciding to just try and get through this meeting as calmly as possible.
Why would she request me when it’s so obvious she hates me?
For the first while, the meeting went on as normal. Ayano spoke to Haruhi casually, if a little condescendingly, before it took a turn.
“And you actually convinced Tamaki to be your chauffeur? How astonishing.” Ayano giggled softly. “You do realize he’s a blueblood and not a commoner, right? He’s far above dragging a little human like you around from room to room. The only reason he’s paying attention to you is because he wants to turn you into a gentleman. A polite little doll he can show off in his club” Haruhi turned away from her slightly, in thought. Ayano continued dismissively, “Don’t start thinking he cares about you just because he’s doting on you.” There. “He’s just-”
“Now I understand.” It was Haruhi’s turn to interrupt. “You’re jealous of me.”
She saw something in the giant’s eyes tighten. Then, Ayanokoji stood up, placed her hands delicately on the table, and,
“Whoops.”
Ayano pushed the table over, sending everything on its surface crashing down toward the floor.
Everything, including Haruhi.

Ouran’s Giant Host Club
Episode 2: Part 3
Part 1 Part 2
Alrighty! The final and my favorite part of this episode! I’m hoping to get at least one more episode done this month, but I’m too early in the writing process to know when that might be out.
Thank you to everyone who’s supported this story so far, I promise I will work to bring more as soon as I can
——————————————————
Soon enough, each of the giant hosts were with their guests, dancing gracefully to the charming music. Haruhi, on the other hand, stood by herself on a nearby countertop. She appreciated the bit of a break the party was giving her. It made sense why she had no dance requests yet; her tiny size didn’t exactly make her the ideal waltzing partner. Although, she occasionally spotted a few girls eyeing her from behind the pillars.
“Hello, Haruhi,” a voice drew the human’s attention. It was Kanako. “I’ve been looking all over for you,” she held her hand palm up in front of Haruhi, “Do you think, maybe, I could have this next dance?”
Haruhi smiled up at her, “Yeah, of course you can,” she said as she stepped onto the giant’s fingers, making her way to the center of the hand. Kanako brought her up level with her chest and started walking back to the main part of the hall. Not far from them, Honey gave Tamaki a signal. Tamaki nodded and sent another signal to Mori.
Before Haruhi could wonder how exactly their dancing was going to work, she felt huge fingers suddenly wrap around her, dragging her away from Kanako. The human was snatched right out of Kanako’s grasp with a yelp, leaving the giant girl to stare after them in a startled shock.
Out of reflex, Haruhi struggled against the strong hold, before a distressed glance upwards revealed that Mori was the one who grabbed her. She was brought into a separate room, where she, Mori, and Honey caught the end of a conversation.
“A little ‘accident’ towards the end of the night would be quite thrilling,” Kyoya remarked as Hikaru and Kaoru turned to the others.
“There she is!” the twins exclaimed as Honey giggled excitedly.
Haruhi got to her feet as Mori released her from the fist. Now standing in an open palm, the human turned to the tallest giant with her hands on her hips, “You didn’t have to be so forceful!”
She saw the ghost of an apologetic look on Mori’s face before she was grabbed up in another fist, this one far less gentle but still not enough to actually hurt her. With the human in hand, Hikaru knelt on the ground, setting Haruhi down on the floor.
“Nevermind that. We have a very important job for you.” The redhead handed her a rolled up paper a bit taller than she was, “We need you to sneak into the classroom across the hall and plant this note for Suzushima to find.”
Haruhi tried to pick up the paper but her hand slipped and dropped it. Though it was a bit heavy, it wasn’t so much the weight giving her trouble, but the size and shape that made the note awkward to try to hold. “I’m not sure I can make it all the way over there with this thing.”
Hikaru shrugged, “Okay, we can tie it to your back if you’d prefer,” he said, reaching again for his little clubmate.
Haruhi jumped back. “No! No, that’s okay. I can handle it,” she insisted. Having a bunch of giant string wrapped around her to secure the paper would be much worse.
She bent down to pick up the cumbersome letter, deciding to wrap both arms around one end and prop the other on her shoulder, kind of like a lumberjack carrying a log.
Meanwhile, Hikaru had stood back up. Haruhi felt her heart skip a beat as she stared up at him and the others. She didn’t stand on the floor of the school often, so it was easy to forget just how massive they were compared to her. Now, standing eye-level with their ankles, she had to crane her neck back as far as it would go to see up to the giants’ heads.
Her leaning along with a shift of the paper made her stumble back a few steps, but she managed to keep her footing. She knew by now that none of these giants meant her any harm, but it was hard to not feel goosebumps along her arms at their sheer size.
Thankfully, the giants didn’t seem to notice her nervousness.
“Suzushima is already waiting in the room, so try not to get spotted by him. We don’t want to mess up him and Kanako’s moment, afterall.” Kyoya instructed as Tamaki entered the room to join them.
Haruhi started to make her way out of the room through the door Tamaki was holding open. The huge letter made it a bit hard to walk, so Haruhi had to take clumsy, wobbling steps to not fall over. She heard subtle laughing behind her and Tamaki’s quiet squeal. She had no doubt that her classmates were currently enjoying her ridiculous walk, Tamaki especially finding it adorable, like everything else she did.
“Good luck, Haruhi!” the twins called as she grumbled under her breath.
The room she was heading towards was directly across the hall, so it thankfully wasn’t too far of a distance, and she managed to not drop the letter. The door was cracked open just enough for her to squeeze through. Just like Kyoya had said, Suzushima was standing at the far end of the room, lost in thought as he stared out the window.
There was a long table situated against the side wall, which Haruhi figured was where the note was meant to go. Sure enough, there was a little rope ladder hanging off the side of it all the way to the floor, no doubt set up by the boys beforehand.
You’ve got to be kidding me, Haruhi thought, looking between the ladder and the paper, There’s no way.
Regardless, she grabbed a part of it and started climbing.
Unfortunately, she couldn’t keep a hold of the letter and climb at the same time. Only a few rungs off the ground, her grip faltered, and the letter fell. In her instinctive lunge to catch it, Haruhi found herself falling as well. With a shout Haruhi slipped off the ladder.
Fortunately, she wasn’t too high up, and the large paper managed to break her fall, though it was definitely crickled now.
Unfortunately, Suzushima had heard the noise.
“Hello?” Haruhi froze at the voice. She scrambled up as Suzushima peered around the table, surprised to see the tiny host. “Oh! It’s you. What are you doing here?”
Haruhi blushed a bit at being caught so quickly. She picked the note back up and did her best to hold it out towards him. “I was told to give this to you.”
Suzushima knelt down, gently taking the paper from the little hands. He unrolled it, laying it on the floor next to Haruhi to try and smooth out the creases from her fall.
His eyes widened a bit at the message. “Um…” he said awkwardly.
Curious, Haruhi turned to read the note.
It was written in bright pink, sparkly ink, all caps, with little hearts drawn in every empty space. It read;
I’M IN LOVE-LOVE! FROM THE FIRST TIME I SAW YOU, I’VE BEEN HEAD OVER HEELS IN LOVE! IT’S LIKE MY HEART IS STUCK IN A NEVER-ENDING TYPHOON! ALL THESE FEELINGS OF LOVE KEEP WHIPPING AROUND IN MY HEART LIKE THE BREAKING WAVES! WHEN THE TYPHOON’S RISING WATERS COME, I WANT TO RENDEZVOUS WITH YOU ON NOAH’S ARK! I DO! I DO!
Haruhi made a face at the over-the-top writing. Who wrote such a stupid letter? She thought, though she had a pretty strong theory.
“I’m sorry,” Suzushima apologized as Haruhi turned back to him, “Whoever sent this, please tell them that I’m flattered, but I’m afraid I don’t feel the same way. You see, another girl already has my heart.”
“Oh,” Haruhi replied, taking a step towards him, “I didn’t know that you had a girlfriend.”
He looked down at his hands, his expression sad and distant .“Unfortunately, she’s not my girlfriend. In fact, I think she’s completely over me. In all honesty, she’d be happier with someone more self-confident than me. That’s why I decided I need to change.”
Suzushima looked back at the human with a bit of determination in his eyes. “So, I’m studying abroad. I want to see the world, and hopefully, become a better man. I know I should have told her, and I know it’s selfish, but I wonder if she’ll wait for me.”
Haruhi raised her eyebrows. “Yeah, you’re right. That is pretty selfish of you.”
Suzushima flinched at the unexpected insult.
Haruhi continued, “But maybe she would wait. You’ll never know if you don’t tell her how you feel. You obviously have strong feelings for her, so why not go ahead and just talk to her?”
She smiled up at the giant, “I think once you decide to change, then you’ve already begun your transformation.”
He smiled back before straightening at the sound of the door. Unexpectedly, Kanako walked in with Tamaki behind her.
Kanako gasped at the sight of Suzushima. She took a step towards him before freezing. “I- I’m so sorry. I can’t do this. I just…”
Shakingly, she turned and ran down the hallway, tears falling down her face.
“Kanako!” Suzushima yelled, jumping up and chasing after her.
Tamaki leaned down, offering a hand to Haruhi. As the human stepped on, she commented, “Looks like we just made matters worse.”
Tamaki chuckled, standing back up and walking out to the hallway. “But he did go running after her.”
After a moment of contemplation, Haruhi grinned.
It’s our responsibility, as members of the elite Ouran Host Club, to make every girl happy.
Kanako had made it outside before Suzushima caught up with her, grabbing her arm. Cherry blossoms fluttered around the two as a spotlight turned on, pointed right at them. They looked up at the staired balcony in surprise.
“Ladies and gentlemen,” Tamaki announced, with the other club members around him and Haruhi perched on his shoulder. The other party members made their way outside as Tamaki continued, “It is now time for us to begin the final dance of this evening’s festivities.”
He gestured to Kanako and Suzushima. “The last waltz of the night has been chosen by the host club for… this couple.”
Suzushima let go of Kanako’s arm and took a deep breath. After steadying himself, he held his hand out to her, “Princess Kasuga… May I have this dance?”
The giant girl blushed, before sighing with relief. “Yes,” she answered, softly taking his hand in her own.
The Host Club smiled down at the two as they danced. Haruhi especially felt a sense of pride in the boy’s brave decision. Kanako looked as though she could fly.
“May this awkward couple be forever blessed!” Tamaki declared as he threw his arms out in a pose, forcing Haruhi to grab tight onto the collar of his suit to avoid being thrown off.
The twins came up beside him. “And now, we’ll announce the Queen of the ball!” Hikaru exclaimed. “Congratulations, Princess Kanako Kasugazaki!” Kaoru finished.
The audience applauded and the twins continued, “And for her reward, a kiss on the cheek from the King!”
Tamaki brought his hands up to his chin with a wink, “You ready?”
Kaoru interrupted him, “Haruhi Fujioka will stand in for Tamaki!”
Both Tamaki and his little passenger gasped at that, the jump of Tamaki’s shoulders causing Haruhi to stumble into the side of his neck, grabbing on for stability.
The twins shrugged mischievously at their shocked looks, “Kyoya did say that a little ‘accident’ towards the end of the night might make the evening more thrilling!”
Suzushima placed his hand on Kanako’s arm, “It’s just on the cheek, right? You should accept it. It will commemorate your graduation from host-hopping.”
Haruhi spun around to face Kyoya, eyebrows furrowed. “There’s no way I can kiss her.”
Without looking at the human, Kyoya replied, “If you do it, you can take some of the fancy tuna back home.”
“Well it is just a peck on the cheek,” Haruhi changed her mind surprisingly fast. She stepped off Tamaki’s shoulder onto Hikaru’s waiting hand.
Tamaki was white with shock as Hikaru made his way to the couple, Haruhi in tow.
Honey spoke up to the King, “Hey, you don’t think this is Haru-chan’s first kiss, do you?”
“What?!” Tamaki shouted with a gasp. As Hikaru held his hand, and Haruhi, next to Kanoko’s cheek, Tamaki ran towards them, desperate to stop it. “Wait Haruhi!”
Hikaru whipped his head around to the blonde with a cheshire grin and an evil spark in his eyes. Just as Haruhi leaned over to kiss Kanoko’s cheek, Hikaru moved his hand, pressing the human’s face into Kanako’s lips instead.
Tamaki froze, falling on his face in terror.
Kanako flinched back, and Haruhi tripped backwards into Hikaru’s palm. A bit of the girl’s lip gloss was stuck to the human’s face, barely concealing her glowing red in embarrassment.
All of the guests squealed and cried at the incident. Kanako looked at Suzushima with worry, but he just chuckled.
I never would’ve thought I’d end up giving my first kiss to another girl, Haruhi thought as she wiped a bit of the lip gloss off with her hand. Tamaki reached towards her in tears. But it was such an amazing night. So I guess it’s just as well. She smiled.

Ouran’s Giant Host Club
Episode 2: Part 2
Previous Next
Here’s part 2! I love this chapter, it’s so much fun to me. (And I love the next one even more! I can’t wait to share it with y’all)
Next and last part will be out on Monday
—————————————————
Tamaki sat brooding in the corner, slurping some ramen. I can’t take this anymore, he thought as his eye twitched.
Hikaru rolled his eyes as he called out to his club leader. “Hey boss, why don’t you stop eating that commoners’ ramen and come over here to help us with the party planning?
All the other club members were gathered around (or on, in Haruhi’s case) a table in discussion. Kaoru joined his brother, “Does it really bother you that Princess Kasuga has taken a liking to Haruhi?
Kyoya typed away at his computer as he added, “He shouldn’t be surprised. She’s had the illness for a while now.”
“What illness?” Haruhi asked.
“She’s got the host-hopping disease,” Hikaru shrugged with some annoyance.
“AKA the never-the-same-boy-twice disease,” Kaoru finished.
“Usually,” Kyoya explained, “our customers choose a favorite host and then see them regularly. However, Princess Kanako tends to change her favorites,” the giant only spared Haruhi a second’s glance before returning to his work, “on a regular basis.”
“That’s right!” Honey shouted enthusiastically, causing Haruhi to cringe a bit from the loud sound. The little human took a few steps back as the boy made his stuffed bunny hop across the table, “Before she chose you, she was with Tama-chan!”
Haruhi looked over to Tamaki, “Oh, so he’s upset I took her from him?” Although she knew the giant girls found her and her size endearing, Haruhi never considered herself as competition to Tamaki, with how many young ladies would still swoon over him. Why does he even care that one guest chose me over him? He can’t be that self-absorbed, can he? She thought, despite knowing the answer good and well.
Tamaki ran over to the table and slammed his hands down on either side of Haruhi, shouting “Shut up!”
Although the impact and the volume made the tiny girl stumble, forcing her to grab the side of the giant’s hand to avoid falling over, she was a little surprised by the lack of fear she felt at the action. It seemed like she was finally getting used to the “king’s” theatrics.
“I couldn’t care less!” Tamaki continued. He pointed a finger at the little human. “I’m running out of patience! Haruhi! It’s time you started dressing like a girl!”
Haruhi tilted her head in confusion as Tamaki paced back and forth, his head in his hands. “I don’t understand how you could be so popular with the ladies when you’re not even big enough to hold their hands!”
But isn’t my size the reason you wanted me here in the first place? Haruhi thought with a roll of her eyes. My eyes are gonna roll right out of my head one of these days.
Tamaki rambled on, “Not to mention, you yourself are a lady! No one in the entire school knows the truth except for those of us here!”
“Yeah, she’s too small for the gym classes so she was allowed to opt out,” “and the attendance numbers are all mixed together, so no one can tell,” the twins added as Tamaki was digging something out of a chest labeled KING’S PRIVATE PROPERTY.
“That’s enough, Haruhi. Now you listen to Daddy,” Tamaki pulled out a large, framed photo of Haruhi from before attending Ouran, with long hair and a girl’s uniform, “Daddy wants you to go back to the way you were!”
“Don’t go blowing up my photos without asking me first!” Haruhi yelled in shock. The picture was enormous even compared to the giants. She noted that they could probably see her features more in that picture than they would ever see on her real face. Where did he even get that?!
The other boys huddled around the photo.
“The more I look at this picture, the more amazed I am,” Hikaru said as Tamaki continued to have a breakdown. “How could this,” the twin pointed at the picture, “possibly become that?” He pointed to Haruhi on the table.
“The day before school started, one of the kids in my neighborhood got some gum in my hair,” Haruhi explained, running her fingers over her head. “It’s a real pain to get gum out of long hair, so I decided to cut it all off. I didn’t care if I looked like a dude, you know?”
Tamaki groaned and rushed back to the table, scooping Haruhi into his hands with exacerbated tears in his eyes, “A girl should never refer to herself as a dude! Momma!” he shouted, looking back at the group of boys, “Haruhi’s using those dirty boy words again!” he cried, hugging the human to the side of his face.
“I’m sorry, but who is ‘Momma’?” Kauru asked.
Kyoya sighed, “Based on club position, I assume it’s me.”
Haruhi pushed away from the giant’s face, surprised when he actually moved her away. She stood up in Tamaki’s cupped hands, putting her own hands on her hips as she stared up at him, annoyed, “I don’t see what you’re crying about. Working as a host, I can pay you back more for your help. I’ll never work off my debt to you if you don’t let me do my job.”
Tamaki set her back on the table before sinking down to the ground in tears.
Hikaru stepped over him as he made his way to Haruhi. “I hate to change the subject but do you have formal dancing experience? You’ll need it at the party.”
“Uh, no…” Haruhi said as she chuckled nervously, “but the party doesn’t have anything to do with my quota, right? Besides, there won’t be anyone there that I could dance with.” Tamaki froze, peeking up at the table from his position on the ground. Haruhi took a few hesitant steps back from the looming giants. “I’m not interested in going to events, so if I could be excused…”
“Definitely not!” Tamaki shot back up to a stand, “A refined gentleman must know how to dance. If you want to live the life of a host that badly, you’re going to have to show us how far you’re willing to go, Haruhi,” he looked back at the human, “I order you to master dancing the waltz in one week, and you will demonstrate it for us at the party!”
In Tamaki’s mind theatre, he pictured Haruhi in a pretty little dress, dancing just for him. Like a tiny ballerina in a music box… Adorable! he thought, giddy at the idea. Hiding his excitement the best he could (which was not very well), he referred back to the human, “If not, I’ll tell the entire school that you’re a girl. You’ll get no more help from me, and you can kiss your chances at graduation goodbye!”
Haruhi felt her heart drop. She was in a debtor’s prison.
“Quick quick slow. Quick quick slow. Good work, Haruhi!” Princess Kanako said as she helped Haruhi practice. The difference in their sizes made it impossible for them to truly dance together, but they improvised. Haruhi stood on a table with her hands on the tips of Kanako’s fingers. “Now on the ‘slow,’ you should bring your feet together. Remember, the gentleman always leads.”
Kanako taught her the steps, sometimes nudging the small human with a knuckle to fix Haruhi’s stance or posture. Haruhi couldn’t help but feel like the giant was posing her like a doll, but she needed to learn this dance regardless, so she endured the slightly embarrassing treatment.
Kanako again tilted Haruhi’s head up with her finger as she giggled, “And make sure to look at the lady you’re dancing with.” Haruhi nodded as the giant’s hand moved back to the human’s.
“Got it,” Haruhi said as she continued the steps, resisting the urge to look down at her feet. Unfortunately, she tripped over her own ankle, falling with a “Woah!” She landed in Kanako’s palm as her face went bright red.
“I’m so sorry, Miss Kasugazaki,” Haruhi apologized, moving to get back up.
Kanako just giggled again and lifted the human up close to her face, “It’s okay, Haruhi.”
As this went on, Tamaki sulked in the window. The twins stared at him with smirks on their faces? “Why so gloomy, boss?” they asked before turning to each other, “I bet it’s because he wanted to be the one Haruhi practices with.” “I think you may be right, but Princess Kanako insisted, and he needs to practice with a lady anyway.”
At their words, the shadow enveloping Tamaki only grew darker.
As Kanako let Haruhi back down on the table, the human looked up at her with a smile, “Thank you so much for letting me practice with you. I really appreciate it.”
Kanako smiled back and put her chin on her hands, “Oh, no problem. I heard that you’re not seeing any customers today so that you can practice your dancing. I’m glad I got to spend this time alone with you.” The look in her eyes made Haruhi a bit suspicious, but before she could question it, Kanako changed the subject, noticing the teacups on the table.
“Oh my! This is a new tea set, isn’t it?” she said as she admired the cup, “It’s Ginori.” Just then, Haruhi noticed Kyoya walking over.
“Ginori?” Haruhi asked as she glanced up at the approaching giant.
“You have a keen eye, mademoiselle,” Kyoya said with a smile, “In fact, we just received them yesterday. We decided that it was about time for the club to update its tea sets.”
“I see. What a pretty color. Lovely,” the young lady remarked, and for the first time since she met her, Haruhi saw what seemed to be genuine joy in the giant girl’s expression. The sight made Haruhi smile too.
“You must really be into tableware, huh?” Despite the cup being big enough for Haruhi to fit in, she doubted she would be able to recognize any design as quickly as this girl could.
At Haruhi’s comment, the girl jumped. “Not really. I mean, no, of course not!” she said quickly, holding her hands up defensively, “What ever would give you that idea?”
The unexpected response unnerved Haruhi. She obviously knows a lot about it. Why would she lie?
There then came a knock on the music room door. A student walked in with a cart of fine tea sets. “Hello?” the young man called out into the room, “I’m here with the new teacups you ordered.”
At this, Haruhi noticed Kanako flinch, her hands wrapping tighter around her cup.
“Ah, thank you very much,” Kyoya responded, paying no mind to Kanako’s odd reaction. Haruhi wanted to ask the girl if she was okay, but as Kyoya continued talking with the boy, her soft voice was easily drowned out. “Every item that you’ve chosen for us has been extremely popular with the ladies. I’m quite impressed.”
The boy smiled. “Well that’s good to hear.”
Kanako tilted her head down further, her hair obscuring her expression. Haruhi took a few steps towards her, but the student paid no mind to the human in front of her hands. So instead, Haruhi turned to the new boy. “So, do you sell tea sets?”
After a small look of surprise at the human he hadn’t noticed before, the boy smiled again and clarified, “No, I’m just a regular student. Can’t you tell by the uniform?”
A sudden laugh from Kanako grabbed Haruhi’s attention, as well as the other giants’. The girl was looking back at the human with that fake smile returned to her face. “Oh Haruhi, you’re so funny,” she said, “I can’t blame you for not knowing. After all, he doesn’t really look like an heir to a first class company.”
“First class company?” Haruhi questioned, before looking at the mystery boy’s face, surprised at the shock in his eyes.
“His family’s business,” Kyoya explained, “the Suzushima Trading Company deals primarily in the importing of tableware. They currently have the top market share in the country.”
None of the others were listening to his explanation. Kanako’s expression broke a bit at the look on the boy’s face. She averted her eyes, seeming almost… ashamed.
Kyoya continued uninterrupted, “So, whenever something exceptional comes in, we’ve asked him to send it our way. He has a great eye for fine china, don’t you, Suzushima?”
Haruhi looked back and forth between the two giant’s faces. The boy quickly referred back to Kyoya at his words, a sheepish grin growing on his lips.
“You think?” he chuckled, “I’ve still got a lot to learn, but thank you.”
“Aren’t you leaving next month to study abroad in England?” Kyoya asked. Haruhi saw Kanako’s hand curl into a fist on the table, shaking slightly. Although that fist was big enough to hold the human’s entire body, it still hurt Haruhi to see the pain in the giant’s posture.
“Yes I am,” Suzushima answered slowly, “Well, I’d better go now.” He sent one more glance to the girl, then left without another word.
Haruhi turned back to Kanako. “I get the feeling you and that guy are kinda close.”
At her words, Kanako jumped. Her knees hit the underside of the table, knocking Haruhi off her feet and onto her back. She stared up at the giant in surprise as Kanako waved her hands frantically.
“Don’t be ridiculous! We hardly know each other! What makes you say that Haruhi?”
Before the human could answer, Kanako sprung to a stand, her stance nervous. “Now, if you’ll please excuse me. Take care,” she said as she quickly shuffled out of the room.
Haruhi has barely gotten her feet back under her, contemplating the girl’s reaction, when Honey-Senpai grabbed her from behind, eliciting a shout from the human.
Honey hugged the tiny host to the side of his face while excitedly exclaiming, “Haruh-chan! Guess what? They do know each other! Suzushima is Kasuga-chan’s fiance!”
Haruhi’s heart was still racing as Honey moved his hands to hold her out in front of him. Tamaki crossed his arm at his clubmate, “Kyoya, how long have you known about this?”
“About the two of them being engaged?” Kyoya questioned, “Well, I conduct general searches on all of our customers.” He pulled out a large binder, flipping to the page with both Kasuga’s and Suzushima’s photographs. Each had a brief description written underneath.
“The 2 of them were childhood friends. It seems their engagement was arranged by their parents. I didn’t think the information would benefit us, so I disregarded it.” he explained as he set the binder down on the table for the other club members to see. Haruhi walked over to get a better look at Suzushima’s pictures as Kyoya continued. “Toru Suzushima… Outstanding grades, fair social status. He’s ordinary looking, but he’s reliable. If I had to fault him for anything-”
Haruhi did a quick double-take on this surprising turn of judgement towards the boy. The twins joined in with Kyoya. “He doesn’t have much presence” - “and he’s faint hearted,” they criticized.
Kyoya grabbed one end of the binder, prompting Haruhi to take a step back. “So in other words, he’s boring,” he said as he quickly snapped the binder closed.
Haruhi raised her eyebrows at the unexpected animosity. I had no idea they were so merciless toward other guys. She’d hate to know what they thought of her back when they believed she was a boy. Although, they probably still didn’t see me as much of a threat.
“Alright everyone.” Tamaki spoke up, “We’ll have to work on our strategy.”
“Which one?” The club members asked in unison.
Tamaki looked up at them with determination in his eyes, “Men, it is our responsibility, as members of the elite Ouran Host Club, to make every girl happy!”
It was time for the party!
The sunset was falling over Ouran High, casting the picturesque walls and cherry blossoms in a beautiful glow. Inside the ballroom, the chandeliers sparkled as the orchestra played their elegant music. The host club stood atop the brilliant ivory staircase as Tamaki greeted the party goers.
“It is so good to see you here tonight, my little lambs. The Ouran host club would like to bid you welcome,” he bowed as the spotlight illuminated the banquet hall.
Kyoya joined in with a charming voice, “As always ladies, the host club is here for your entertainment. So we invite you to dance to your heart’s content.”
The guest applauded as the rest of the members bowed as well, except for Haruhi. Kyoya especially had wanted her to make an appearance during the introduction, but she declined, arguing that the guests would barely be able to see her from so far anyway. Instead of just letting her sit it out on the sidelines like she wanted, Hikaru had snatched her up, stuffing her in the front pocket of his vest and walking out to his spot on the stairs. She had fought at first, yelling “Hey! Let me out! This isn’t fair!” but as soon as the lights lit up and Tamaki started his announcements, she realized there was no point. So, she crossed her arms, resigned to her fate, with a stir of frustration in her chest.
Kyoya finished, “Based on her dancing skills, one lucky young lady will be chosen as tonight’s Queen. The Queen’s reward will be a passionate kiss on the cheek from our King.”
“Good luck to you,” Tamaki said with a charming wink, “my darlings.”
Haruhi huffed at the dramatic swooning from the girls over Tamaki. She felt a rough jab at her side from outside the pocket as she saw the top open up. The twins stared down at her with glares at her defiance.
Haruhi spoke up before either of them could make a retort, “What was the point of grabbing me like that if I was just gonna be out of sight anyway?”
“All club members have to stay together during the opening announcements. Our guests are counting on our being present,” Kauru chastised.
“Yeah,” Hikaru agreed, “so either stop the whining or you can stay in there all night. I’m sure some girls will get a kick out of the sight of you defeated by a pocket.”
Haruhi grabbed the plaid fabric to pull herself up as far as she could, just a little above the pocket’s edge.
Before she could yell back at the redhead, Kyoya interrupted them. “Alright boys, that’s enough. Let her out. She’ll have her own guest to attend to, afterall.”
Hikaru grumbled as he hooked a couple fingers around his tiny classmate and pulled her out, setting her on the palm of his other hand. The twins both frowned at the scowl still on her face.
“C’mon Haruhi, show some enthusiasm.” They both said.
Haruhi felt her eyebrows twitch as she crossed her arms, sitting criss-cross in Hikaru’s grasp. “Well excuse me you guys. Sorry, I’m not used to this sort of thing. I’ve only ever gone to the festivals held in my neighborhood park.”
The twins grimaced, to the human’s annoyance. Even Kyoya creased his eyebrows, “I don’t know if you can really consider that a party or not.”
Before Haruhi could snarkily respond, the giant continued “well, while we wait for the dancing portion of the party to start, you might as well get yourself something to eat. We’ve got quite a spread.”
That caught Haruhi’s attention as she stood up. “A spread?” she looked down at the palm she was standing on, lightly scratching her chin. “With fancy tuna?” she asked hesitantly.
She saw each of the other club members jump at that. “Fancy tuna?!” they all exclaimed in unison.
In a flash Tamaki took charge, “Get some fancy tuna here right now!” he commanded as he pointed at Kyoya, who was already on the phone. “And some deluxe sushi,” the vice-president added.
The twins held her close to their faces in an awkward group hug as they cooed over the human’s request. Haruhi’s face burned bright red. She hated the fact that, no matter how she tried, they seemed to find everything she did ‘cute.’
Damn these filthy rich jerks.

My friend told me that ohshc is leaving netflix at the end of this month </3 and bc Im feeling things g/t au
Ik i made an au in ninth grade where they were all human and Haruhi was a borrower but i want to do smth else
Haruhi still has tiny vibes so theyre a tiny (i hc Haruhi as nonbinary so i use they/them for them). I also see Kyouya as a tiny so he’s also a tiny, and Honey is also def a tiny
Tamaki and Mori both have giant vibes they just do. Renge might also be a giant? Not too sure but i think that fits her best
The Hitachiin twins, i was originally going to make them giants but then i realized how much chaos they could create as sizeshifters so theyre sizeshifters
