Imagine giants and tinies have a really hard time telling the other ages because of the height diffrence

Like a tiny being treated like a child by their giant friend while their actually old enough to be their grandparent

Or a giant being treated like an adult while their actually like twelve

Depending on how tall you make your giants a kid giant might be the same height as an adult tiny

a little lore bit:

the facility they are at used to have a bunch of other scientists researching the happenings with the weird stuff going on there. They either ended up abandoning the project or.... became part of it! dun dun DUNNNN!

so theres a bunch of different anomaly *monsters* (mostly hostile) that are around, and its basically the same way that Jace got turned here too.

and the nearby town that Jace is from, just assumes the area is an abandoned military base cuz its been quiet for the last 10 years.
