Option 1; Felix (Golden City WIP)

(fun fact, this 'made friends with an assassin' part also applies to me, the author)

Technically this is a spoiler because it hasn't happened as of the book's beginning, but he does in fact do this at one point. Charisma 10/10, could probably sell ice to an iceberg and makes friends with everyone whether they want to be friends or not.

Option 2; Iris (Golden City WIP)

She literally did this. That's how she's in the country the book is set in. One day she was just like 'what if I move to Solace' and just... packed and left. I don't know what else to tell you. It worked, somehow.

Option 3; Nerium (Golden City WIP)

Somehow wound up making friends with a bunch of chaotic people, mostly against his will, is now attached to them and has to keep them out of trouble. Does so with great amounts of complaining. (said friend group consists of two Chaotic Neutrals and two Chaotic Goods)

Option 4; Helen (Golden City WIP)

Daughter of nobles, grew up in court and always felt stifled by it. Met a woman who ran a carnival one day and discovered a) there is a language people have with their HANDS (she's deaf) and b) carnivals are much more fun than the court. Proceeded to leave with said carnival a few days later.

Option 5; Shannon (Golden City WIP)

One of the protagonists of The Golden City. Likes books. Would probably fight you over books, and would win, because he is also good at fighting. Quite intelligent, though he doesn't have the charismatic energy of his older twin Felix.

Option 6; Bricriu (Golden City WIP)

Charisma 12/10. That's it. That is all I am going to say.

Choice 7; Valentin (Golden City WIP)

One of the protagonists of The Golden City, very nice. He's quite streetwise and not very naive, but he is very optimistic. Aggressively so, even. Probably the only main character I've written so far who doesn't need therapy.

This took a while to compile, but it was really fun haha. :)

It's not that he was jealous, it just took him a while to understand.

"Hey love, who you talking to?" Your boyfriend asks at hearing you giggling on the phone.

"Your mom." You whisper, in between listening to her.

He pauses. It's not completely unexpected. You talk all the time.

"We're gonna meet for lunch at two on Saturday." You tell him.

"Why doesn't she ever call me to tell me things?" He mutters, but you hear.

"Hey ma, he wants to know why you don't call him." You out him.

"Really?!" He hisses as you try to hand him the phone.

"Why can't I talk to my daughter?" The phone isn't on speaker but his mom is loud and clear.

You shake the phone at him and he shakes his head and won't take it as she continues to rant on the other line.

You shrug. "I don't know. All of a sudden he's shy."

You wave him away, going back to your conversation.

"So yeah, we'll see you then!"

A few minutes later you wander into the kitchen where he is sitting at the table, seemingly waiting.

"You mad?" You ask timidly.

"What? No." He looks up and motions for you to come over and you sit as well.

"I like talking to your mom. She's always so nice and welcoming, and supportive." You list off some things. She's the biggest fan of your relationship.

"I know. She adores you." He tells you in a way that says so does he.

You half smile. "I'll tell her call you next time."

He takes your hand and gives it a squeeze and a kiss.

"Our relationship will always be special, but yours is too. I don't want to change that." There's a bond between his two favorite people.

Though his phone might not ring as often as yours to ask him if he wants to take in a movie or plan when the three of you should meet, when the three of you are together he feels all the love from both of you.

"I'll call you tomorrow, okay?" She tells him at lunch, patting his cheek.

And while his phone rings and mother and son talk for a few minutes, just a short time later your phone is ringing too.

Listening to you laugh, he's so thankful for his mother.

hey guys i heard fable was getting a cool new outfit for this year's windblume festival? it costs like 40 usd but like. it's kinda fire so i might get it idk.

people have been pointing out the ring on their hand? it isn't visible underneath buns gloves on their regular model so its kind of a surprise. everyone's speculating on who they're married to, and the general consensus seems to be that it's venti. i can get behind that; the cecilia on their flower crown matches the positioning of his and the gem on their necklace almost looks like the gem pin thing on venti's shirt. i know its not concrete evidence but couples with matching outfits is cute as hell to me okay let me have this

the name is really interesting too: harpastum maid.

the description reads as follows:

"a light, breezy outfit fable chose specifically for the windblume festival. buns friends joke that it makes bun look like a maiden chosen to throw the harpastum in festivals long ago."

if we're going by the theory that they're married to venti, he's probably the first one to make this remark. it's a fun thought, i'm kind of obsessed with this new venti ship hehe :3c

with regards to succession the thing i can't understand is 100% the greg's gay dad fascination sorry... like it's one of the very few bits of information we have about greg and his background, i get that. but people's genuine investment in seeing him On Screen and insistence that he NEEDED to be expanded on was and is baffling to me. what would he even do what would we even learn 😭 also the prioritization of him over marianne who we, you know, see on screen and who actually raised greg...? why are we reflecting on how greg being gay would make him think about his dad who he probably hasn't spoken to for decades and not his mom who he has an actual relationship with. the most interesting thing about greg's gay dad IS his total absence!
