Okenite geode in basalt

This is a sample of basalt with needly clusters and “cottonballs” of okenite crystals grown in a vug. Okenite (hydrated calcium silicate hydroxide) is an unusual mineral and a member of the tobermorite mineral group. It is most often found in basalt vugs but has also been reported from carbonate rocks at Crestmore, California. Typical associated minerals are zeolites, apophyllite, gyrolite, calcite, quartz and prehnite. When vugs in volcanic rocks are lined with delicate okenite they are sometimes called “okenite geodes”. This sample is 21 cm across.

2024 Grimoire Challenge Review - February, Week 1

I'm going to be honest, I half-assed this and did almost all of it on Thursday and Friday. Because I hate myself. Anyway.

For most of the definitions, I just put them on one Energy Work page under specific headings. I gave a short paragraph about what each was in my practice and entirely skipped the Friday prompts because those have nothing to do with my practice. As for the Astral, it got its own page, but a lot of it was me writing the equivalent of a shrug down because I can't currently access the Astral. I'm making a servitor about that because now I'm just fucking curious.

And on these sorts of weeks where I wait until the last fucking minute to do things, the plant I picked out (celery) had hella information about it instead of being quick and easy like I hoped it would be. "It's just celery!" I said. "I can't imagine anyone's put too much thought into it!" I said. I continue to be a fool.

Even the stone I picked this week (danburite) had more information than I thought it would, considering the dud that was okenite last week.

And then I got pulled away to the card shop on Saturday and was sick on Sunday, so I couldn't even make this post until today and had to backtrack through my binder to see what the hell I actually did.
