the nice thing about the end of the year is that everyone puts out their "best of 2024" lists, which is a good chance for me to comb through and start listening to new music.

for example, I put together a playlist from the New Yorker's list, and discovered that I love Yasmin Williams, Adrienne Lenker, Waxahatchee and Jake Xerxes Fussell; now I've moved on to Billboard's list, and I'm chilling to LATIN MAFIA while assembling the playlist.

One of my gripes with the pjo show was, ultimately, the portrayal of the gods. Like, when I just think of them I imagine powerhouses, persona and all. Heck, even if they are chill and laid back as a cover, around a certain point you'd even notice their aura for power. But, in the show....I don't really get that vibe. Like Ares letting the kids talk back and all that, when he was quick to check him the books or how the mere presence of Hades had the trio on edge. Heck, Percy got flack from Zeus for failing to address him first, so how would he just be fine with letting Percy run his mouth like that, no matter how right he was? And I'm not saying that it had to be just like the books, but it doesn't seem that hard to make these gods intimidating.

There's only one way Alastor could really get away with embarrassing Angel Dust.

And that would be going the "mom" route.

He will publicly out this boy for the fact that he's technically old enough to have been in Alastor's "outdated" era and understands all his references. If this man finds out that Angel has any memories or love for classic things from when they were both alive, he'd use it against him.

It would be like your parents pulling out your baby book in front of the biker gang you just joined.

Angel's like, "I DON'T like the Charleston! I-It's stupid and lame! I'm a fricken' stripper, baby, of course I wouldn't be caught DEAD doing that!" (visibly sweating)

Makes ONE reference to an old starlet in 1925 that no one (except Husk and Alastor) knows who he's talking about and he tries to backpedal so hard.

As Angel fumes to deny he is old or outdated and is IN FACT trendy and modern, Alastor is wearing a shit-eating, patronizing, grin, like, "Aw, it's adorable how he tries." (Boops his nonexistent nose)

Slightly north of 5'10"

So, taller than most folks, but not considered capital-T Tall.

With that in mind, I am only a 36" chest, which makes it a challenge finding coats and shirts that fit me proportionally. (Trousers are not a problem for me as a 32/32.) When I thrift/shop online, I absolutely rely on measurements and not the label size, because up to a 38R will fit me if the cut is good.
