I watched Interview with the vampire (2022) a week ago for, honestly, gay vampire sex but DAMN! I'm so obsessed about the geriatric sarcastic piece of meat and the cute dom twink with furby eyes dynamic with 15 minutes of total screen time. Like are you gonna fuck the old man? you did already? PSA: I don’t care if you like or dislike AMC’s adaption of IWTV but some of the comments I’ve seen here about how “gross” the relationship between older Daniel and Armand would be are really ugly. The erasure of sexuality in older adults harms all of us. It’s not cute to act immature over someone over 60 having a sexual relationship, it just makes you look juvenile.

This is fiction. Armand is a 500 year old vampire, he’s got 400+ years on old Daniel. I’m an Aro/Ace Queer lady and I think Eric Bogosian is aesthetically good looking, his fictional character can get it on all he wants. I advise you to find a real problem.

I see a lot of people saying that Old Man Daniel is repressing his sexuality/is in the closet/has a lot of internalized homophobia and I just don’t see it? Like, yes he’s married multiple women and had children with them but he’s bisexual. A man can marry a woman and still be bisexual. And every time he talks about his past marriages, he describes his ex wives with such adoration and fondness. It’s only when describing himself/the way he acted in these marriages that he starts to get bitter and angry and hateful. Like he really did love these women (or at the very least, Alice) but he knew he didn’t treat them the way they deserved. Because of his addiction, his mental health, and his fear of dying, he wasn’t as good of a husband or father as he should’ve been. And I think he hates himself because of that, not because he was secretly gay or because he didn’t love them.

And, when Daniel tells Louis he only went to that gay bar in San Francisco to score drugs, I don’t think that was him trying to claim he was straight or denying his sexuality. If anything, to me it felt like he was trying to deny the fact that he’d been attracted to Louis. Trying to hide the fact that Daniel followed Louis home, not because he wanted an interview or to buy drugs, but because he wanted to be with him. (And like, if you watch the flashback, it’s very clear Daniel was attracted to both Louis and Armand, and was hoping something would happen back at Louis’ apartment.)

Like, idk, let me know if I’m missing something? I think Daniel has a lot of self-hatred and shame, but I never got the vibe it was because he’s queer. I think he just has a lot of regrets in his life, and he hates the way he acted around people.

Some people say that the biggest difference between Book Daniel and AMC Daniel is the age difference. Well, yes, it is. And it’s my friends who never watch IWTV or read the books who said that.

One of my favorite moments of S1 is Daniel at his desk at home before it all begins. Absently rubbing the old scar on his neck and his hand shaking slightly as he puts the puzzle piece in place. He looks so vulnerable. It moves me every time.

Guys I need your help. I've found a series of three PERFECT fan arts of Daniel and Armand but then I lost it. I think I didn't save it. I don't even remember if it was on here, on Instagram, or Pinterest or literally anywhere else.

It had all three versions of Daniel and Armand (book, movie, series) and they were painted in the same poses, like Daniel was sitting at the table and Armand was standing behind him, maybe holding a hand on Daniel's shoulder or something like that. I don't remember but I remember it was beautiful😭😭😭 If anyone knows what I'm talking about and if anyone has seen it pls send me the link. It was genuinely one of the most creative things I've seen and now I can't find it.
