she takes a shot of soju before she sets up the camera to start filming, because she knows she'll lose her nerve otherwise. if nothing else, she hopes she doesn't look so visibly distraught on camera — she'd taken the extra time to furiously pat on makeup after the good hearty cry she'd had earlier while reading a rejection email from the company that'd advertised the creative direction team intern role she'd impulsively sent in her portfolio for. maybe her cover letter had been a little rushed — a shoddy rewrite of something she'd generated on a website that had sounded nonsensical as she'd anxiously read it back. she had never been all that good with her words, her mind a jumbled mess of too much all at once and simultaneously hollowed out by her own vices. either way, she was thorough in all other aspects of the process and this monumental failure (she thinks she's earned the right to a little bit of melodrama, thanks) was another stone atop a massive pile of ever-growing pressure.

a "no," meant another few months at her current job and that was as good as a stint in hell considering two days ago she'd told her manager to suck it. maybe she could play it off as a joke. "suck it," playfully. "suck it," in a silly goofy way. it's not like she really even needed the job, her parents more than happy to funnel money into her bank account while she found her calling. it was very nearly a metaphor for them buying time before she finally came to her senses and went to college instead of wasting her most valuable years chasing a pipe dream. but it wasn't good to leave too sour of a taste in people's mouths; the world was too small for loose ends, especially in seoul.

she'd send him a gift basket and offer to work a double the next time she went into the restaurant.

the idea is sparked by a music video marathon and the realization that she was hardworking and determined, nearly to a fault, the way she's known so many of the idols she's vaguely admired growing up to be. it'd be easy enough, she thinks, naively, to become an idol, do her time as a pretty little puppet, and retire peacefully at like twenty-eight to be a cottage artist with a padded resume. even just becoming a trainee and getting enough of an in at an entertainment company sounds better than charming strangers and going home smelling like charred meat and alcohol. it's the long way, sure, but she's getting desperate. ...maybe impatient is a better word.

she chooses a song with choreography that hides the fact that that she's not really a trained dancer by any ounce of the definition and records something of a mock audition tape, a rough draft, and sends it off to her best friend for some loving critique ("haha, what if i shifted gears and tried to be an idol lol," she captions the clip with not even a shred of laughter out loud) before she can act on impulse and mass-sends it to every corporate email she can find on naver.

Emissary/Spark Verse: Same as the canon verse but he’s more in tuned with his magic.

Grunge Verse: Set back in the early 90’s Stiles is a drummer for the band The Pack along with band mates Scott, Erica, and Derek.

Spidey Verse: Okay this one I’m still working on/playing with in my mind But basically Stiles gets an Internship at Oz Corp and is bitten by a Radio Active Spider. When he comes back to Beacon Hills he tries to hide it from the pack but also uses it to help them in secret.

Thoughts on the character: Tara! Okay; so Tara is one of those characters that I have come to like the fanon/rp portrayal of more than the canon character -- a lot of which I am going to chalk up to you. So much of the time, when watching the show, Tara frustrates me; especially in the later seasons. But when it comes to your Tara? I love her. And so does Kat. That is her sister-in-law and she will fight you.

Have you interacted before: Yep yep yep. I honestly can’t remember if we have active threads going on this account, but we definitely wrote together on my olds ones.

Favorite part of portrayal: I think I kind of hinted at this in my first answer, but everything. I just love the whole way you handle Tara and her char and how you take the things that canon does wrong and toss them in the trash. 

One piece of advice: I am gonna need this meme to stop asking me this. I have no advice. Absolutely none. You are perfect.

♥ What’s the WORST thing that has happened to you rp wise?

This happened years ago and I’ve mentioned it before hand to like a few people, but while I was in the SOA (Sons of Anarchy) fandom writing as Kip “Half-Sack” Epps, I was called homophobic, sent anon hate constantly, told that I was “seeking attention” when I would ask for threads / to plot, etc. The homophobic comments came from, I’m fairly certain, a in real couple who were writing a m/m ship within the fandom and since they were like….the “cool kids” of the fandom, no one ever said shit. However we all know me with not giving a fuck, even back then as a newbie.

But I had mentioned that any m/m ship between ANY members of the MC (motorcycle club) would not fly–they would have been kicked, any and all ink would have been covered, etc.–which should have been a given but apparently wasn’t, I received some nasty anons. Even had some ballsy people who one is still around unfortunately and is still being a dick bag, not send shit on anon. So yea. Being called homophobic and getting nasty anons was by far to this day the worst thing RP wise. But it is also the reason why I will go to the grave begging everyone to do proper research on what they plan on writing, even if you think you know everything. Because when you research the topic, such as MC culture within the united states, you’ll learn a thing or two and your RP experience will be a lot smoother.

♦ What was a mildly annoying thing that has happened to you rp wise?

If anyone has been following me since Faith’s second remake ( faithiiisms ) you’ll know I had an OC stealing from me and not being that smooth about it; they followed my Spike blog on said OC like I wouldn’t notice. So the stealing was pretty fuckin’ annoying, I’ll admit to that. But receiving anons from people who were taking the opportunity to jump on my dick ‘cause hey why not join in on the fun right, was annoying as hell. I was called “abrasive”, a hypocrite, and accused of forced shipping. And again, I’m pretty sure I know who was sending me the shit ‘cause at the time I didn’t have them blocked. So yea, that was mildly annoying and just…don’t fuckin’ bother sending me anon hate ‘cause 9 out of 10 times I’m gonna know who you are and I will find you and again…I’m an abrasive salty dick who isn’t afraid of correct call-out culture shrug emoji.

✂ A fandom that you feel isn’t open and accepting?

Lord where do I even begin? First off, I am well versed in many fandoms as I obsess over a lot of shows, movies, books, etc which I know is shocking, like damn Char loves something else other than btvs?! But yea, I do. Secondly, I get that not a lot of other people are well versed with many fandoms, especially btvs for whatever reason. However, now on to the salt, if you can write with anyone from SPN or even TVD, guess what bucko? You can write with anyone from BTVS because those two shows are basically BTVS, especially TVD. So really I can’t specifically pick a fandom because there a lot but basically anyone that writes with popular / current supernatural shows who avoid those of us who write in “old” and or “outdated” fandoms.

I would also like to point out that for the most part, these fandoms run off the good old high school system; whose popular and whose not. And when that’s the case, which is 9 out of 10 times because I’ve seen some shit, those popular kids are gonna turn their noses up to anyone they deem “unworthy.” But yea. Lots of unwelcome fandoms and shit that needs to stop.

✖ How has Tumblr RP changed since you started?

Damn Daniel...do we have an eternity to point out everything that has changed? No? Okay I’ll do the short version. EVERYTHING has changed since I began writing here on tumblr back in late 2012 early 2013. The atmosphere of the RPC has changed from people being open and accepting to running like a fuckin’ high school with the popularity bullshit. And if for one second you don’t think that’s the case then you’re lying to yourself because this shit never existed back in the day or wasn’t as bad. Now it’s like every time you click a blog to check them out they’ve got an exclusive group, there’s a waiting list, a fuckin’ bouncer named Brutus who looks like he’s done time, and only the cool kids get let in while you’re being told “sorry we’re at max capacity.”

So yea. Lots of things have changed. However not all of them are bad ‘cause a lot of shitty people are being ran from the site which is good ‘cause we don’t need a bunch of dick heads, ya know. But for the most part, the cliques, exclusive groups, cool kids, whatever you want to call them are the most annoying / biggest change.

    4.A)  Magic anons and anons wanting to talk to Mari or Cora are always welcome, even if they’re trying to antagonize the muses!  Just specify that that’s what you’re doing, or I might mistake it for anon hate.

5)  Please, be patient.  I might take a while to respond.  That being said, if it takes a while for you to respond, I won’t pester you to get to the thread faster.

6) I’m totally open to AU’s, new fandoms, OC’s, strange, random ideas, and so on.  Magic?  Okay.  Wild technology?  Go for it.  Sometimes, taking a wild trip to Candyland is very entertaining.

7) Marian is hard to ship with.  She’s reluctant to open up and tends to push anybody who’s getting too close away.  It’s better to start as friends and see where it goes than to try to force an awkward ship.

    7.A)  Cora isn’t currently interested in a romantic partner.  Friends, sure, but not romance.

8) You can talk to me through IM’s and asks at any time.  I don’t mind at all.  I might take a bit to respond, but I will respond.  This even applies to venting, explaining to me if I’ve done something you don’t approve of or are offended by, anything you want me to tag, plots, random character questions you may have, critiques on my writing or characterization, etc.  As long as it’s civil and approached in a mature, adult manner, I won’t bite your head off, I promise. :)

9) If I don’t follow you back, it doesn’t necessarily mean I’m not interested.  You either don’t trim threads, flood my dash with 10,000 memes/ooc posts, or I found a lot of NSFW content on your blog, or a type that makes me exceedingly uncomfortable.

If we don’t talk, you send one thing in every once in awhile to try to get past the “reblog karma” thing, reblog nothing but memes, and that’s our only interaction?  That’s where I draw the line.  I want people around my blog who want to interact with my muses and/or me.  I’m not a meme blog.

13)  Hate anons will just get you blocked immediately.  I don’t mean things like, “Hey, can you tag this?” or “Your writing/characterization/etc. might be better if you do xyz.“  I mean messages just trying to stir up trouble.

Some things I’ve had to answer that I’ll just address here.  

“Why are your icons so large???”

They aren’t.  They’re 100x100, when I decide to use them.  I made sure of it.  What happens is that I’m on mobile a lot.  On profiles, the icons show up like they’re supposed to, with the accurate size.  On the dashboard, however, Tumblr sees fit to blow the icon up.  There’s nothing I can do about it at the moment.  And, believe me, I have searched for an answer.

Q1.   if you could write your character your way in their own movie, what would it be called, what style would it be filmed in, and what would it be about? A1.  All I wanted to write was a movie about how good Superman is, and how we need more people like him in the world. Something to show Superman’s essence like the old cartoons of my childhood. Q3.   why did you start writing this character? A3.   To be honest, I never thought I’d be writing Superman one day. It’s a well-known character and very popular. I needed some “light” writing (since I’ve been writing manipulative characters long enough), so I decided to give this character a chance. I also love him a lot. <3

Q4.   what first attracted you to this character? A4.   When I was a kid, I watched Superman TAS, Justice League and I loved Superman (although Batman was my favorite). I grew up with people telling me Superman was too overpowered and too predictable, so I blocked my interest in him until I decided to read comics about him. I saw that people judged his character more because he’s genuinely good, and they prefer reading stories with complicated, even bad characters, because ‘good’ is too boring (-coughs- they prefer Injustice’s Superman -coughs-). Even in real life, I see good people being stepped simply for being good. So, I became very attached to Superman, because I hope one day people will be as good as him. Of course, Superman has negative traits, and that makes him a great char. He’s not flawless as some people say, on the contrary.

Q5.   describe the biggest thing you dislike about your muse. A5.   I don’t think there’s something I dislike about Superman? He has qualities and negative traits, but I like him because of those. That makes him unique.

Q6.   what do you have in common with your muse? A6.   I try to help people, to do the right thing.

Q7.   how does your muse feel about you? A7.   I like to think that Superman’s proud of me for trying to be a better person each day.

Q8.   what characters does your muse have interesting interactions with? A8.  All his inner circle of friends and family like Pa and Ma Kent, Jon Kent, Chris Kent, Lois Lane, Kon-El, Jimmy Olsen, Perry White, Bruce Wayne, Diana of Themyscira, Barry Allen, Hal Jordan, Arthur Curry, Lana Lang, J’onn J’onzz, Steel, etc and, of course, his enemies like Lex Luthor, Brainiac, Metallo, Cyborg Superman, Eradicator, General Zod, Crime Syndicate, Justice Lords, etc.

Q9.   what gives you inspiration to write your muse? A9.   Reading comic books about him, watching his cartoons, sending memes.

Q10.   how long did this take you to complete? A10.   My whole morning. Sorry for not replying my threads yet ahhhhhh!
