What are your headcanons for levihan if Hange had survived?
thank you SO MUCH @quillsandblades, I love those sorts of questions
firstly, after they've calmed down from the war and the Rumbling, Hange wants to travel. She wants to see all sorts of sights, learn everything, see everything. Levi follows, inevitably. He's always had her back (he's always been her left eye), so now he goes with her. it's natural to follow her by now.
they don't speak about their feelings immediately. They rushed to confess when the world was ending, and now that it's not, something keeps them from doing it. They've held off for so long that they don't know how to let go of their reluctance. Armin and the others roll their eyes, but wave goodbye at them at the airport.
it's all right, though, because they get to travel together, and start a whole another life.
Hange sees all sorts of devices, ancient or not. She goes to museums, sees human history unfolding before her. Artworks, statues, declarations of war, peace treaties, rusty machines and legendary monuments.
Levi watches her and smiles. He sees the old Hange again, the one without the weight of the Wings of Freedom.
Levi starts to look younger without the stress lines. He smiles a bit more. Hange smiles a lot, and she returns to her old self gradually. They're both so proud of each other (which means extra teasing)
She tries weird spicy food, while he sticks to the beverages. She wants to make him eat, because "you can't know you don't like it if you've never tried"
later, she discovers the Rubik's cube. It takes her about two days to solve it (two days straight, without food, and Levi had to force her to sleep)
Eventually, they settle down. They both want to return to Paradis and live there in anonymity.
They find a remote house in the forest, near the river, like they once promised to. They prefer to be calm and isolated-- or at least choose when they want to interact with the world. They live together, of course, it feels natural by now. It would feel unnatural not to, after everything.
The house has two bedrooms.
They go to Historia's for lunch often. She and her husband share weird looks, but they never say anything. Her daughter calls them aunt and uncle. She climbs on Levi's lap, and he doesn't complain, he just holds her nonchalantly and lets her touch the shaved part of his undercut.
When he asks Hange why she's smiling like an idiot, she tells him it's nothing.
Did I mention that he lets Hange cut his hair?
Hange studies plants, birds, has adopted some animals from time to time despite what Levi says.
Somehow, Levi manages to clean the entire house in no time. He also bathes Hange, because some things never change.
"Don't put pressure on yourself, that's an order," Hange tells him. "You're not my superior anymore," he reminds her. That holds more weight than he intended it to. They're free.
The weight of memories becomes to much to bear, eventually. With all the free time they have, all they do is remember those they've lost. The family that broke up.
Hange gets up at nights and goes to Levi's room. They don't exchange many words, she just crawls into bed with him. They sleep side by side. Eventually, the second bedroom turns into a study.
They treat each other's injuries, apply the necessary balms to the scars and the burns every day. It becomes their routine. Hange sometimes kisses the scar on his eye when she's done, just to see him flustered.
Levi doesn't do exactly the same to the burns on her back, but the touch of his fingers is so deliberately featherlight that Hange can't help but shiver. It's something that comes naturally, because he wants to take care of her.
They get married. It's the only possible outcome. They both knew it would happen, they just needed time to adjust to their newfound freedom.
"it wasn't that obvious," Hange complains when Historia makes a remark one day about "how great, it was about time".
"it was, Commander," Historia says. "We all saw it coming."
they share anecdotes, and the evening passes with Hange saying "wait, you were jealous??" and "that's why you said that??"
they both feel flustered when Historia reveals they were basically the parents of the 104th. They knew, but still, it being said out loud hits different.
Mikasa was maid of honour.
(now, whether they have kids of their own is another story.)
They're both awkward af, mostly Levi. At first when Levi wants to kiss her, he gets extra serious, catches her attention like "oi" and maybe grabs her by the hair.
They feel like Erwin's gonna appear out of nowhere and tell them that they're being unprofessional lol
For a while (or a lot) every time Levi wakes up, he feels like he'll open his eyes and it will all have been a dream, and he'll wake up back in the barracks with two eyes and more people to lose.
so Levi seeks next to him, finds Hange, and holds her, breathes in the scent of the forest and the sea salt on her. Only then does he open his eyes, when he feels like it's safe to. He's never told her.
They visit the sea very often. Levi stands up from his wheelchair then, and they hold hands and look. Now, the sea doesn't hold promises and vows, it's just sea. Blue and beautiful. They watch sunsets and sleep in the sand and watch sunrises together.
the house is full of photos of them and their trips, and little souvenirs and plants and Hange's research.
I feel like they would become legends as the time passed. Of course, Hange is a well known "historical figure" as the 14th Commander, but Levi? There are no pictures of him, only oral tales about "a soldier so strong he could defeat 30 titans at once". Yeah, right, as if. Where's the proof?
Hange becomes a herbologist or zoologist or astronomer or everything. Maybe she becomes a professor and does her own research on a field she loves. Some of her students come to her house and they see Levi Freaking Ackerman chilling like "wassup"
and they ask "did you really kill like 100 titans" "were titans even real?" (because scepticism and because they were too young to remember) And Levi just says "no" and goes about his day.
(there are swords on the wall, though)
Levi prefers to stay at home and be at peace. He helps refugees, of course, and "helps around" with Historia's orphanage (kids run around and he calls them brats)
Hange has made a bet with herself as they grow older that Levi will end up with more wrinkles around his eyes than between his brows. She's never told anyone.
(the bet is proceeding well)
eventually they grow old together and watch their "grandkids" (Historia's kids, Jean's kids, Aruani's kids, Mikasa's adopted kids, etc)
The kids call them their grandparents and they absolutely don't mind. Levi chastises them, but not harshly.
He teaches the kids how to flip butterfly knives. What is Jean going to do, tell him not to?
They absolutely adore Hange. She makes up those fun games and teaches them a multitude of things (although a parent must always be around because her games are kinda dangerous)
Levi wears Hange's clothes. The trope where the girl wears her man's T-shirts, and whatever-- that's Levi. And he can pull them off.
Hange wears his clothes too. I mean, Levi has broad shoulders and although the shirts might be kinda short, it's a fashion choice and she looks fabulous. They've forgotten which clothes are whose. Sometimes they even buy them the "wrong" size for the other one to steal.
Okay this is long, I gotta stop. But send me more questions like this, people, I love them

For that send a ship thing, I was hoping Levihan, but if you don't ship them then eremika??
(or maybe AruAni?)
Hiya!
And I definitely do ship Levihan haha xD So here goes:
{Edit: Whenever Hange is referred to as "she", please feel free to read as "them" if you prefer! I revert to using "she" by default because I've been doing it for a long time :<}
Who said “I love you” first
The way I see it, Hange probably always says "I love youuuuu" in that casual unserious kind of way - and its not just Levi who hears it, it's everyone. She needs someone to do her a task? It's a "Hey will you please do this for me, oh you will? Great, thanks I love youuuu~~"
Similarly Levi gets "I love youuuu~s" every so often when she's being annoying and needs him to put up with her rambling.
But the Real "I love you" probably comes first from Levi himself. It's hard to get him to be vulnerable with words, simply because he's a man of few words in the first place, but he says it quietly, and from his heart, taking Hange by surprise. There's no doubt he means every bit of it, and suddenly, she can't really come up with any silly joke to laugh it off.
Who would have the other’s picture as their phone background
Hange, lol. Levi looking grumpy and tired and cute, that's her wallpaper. He on the other hand, probably has a picture of the sunset (because he's secretly a sentimental man, but shhhh) with a shopping list widget stuck on the side so it's easy for him to see what he's got to do grocery runs for.
Who leaves notes written in fog on the bathroom mirror
Hange. And Levi fucking hates it because by the time he's reading it, the words are getting all runny and watery and blurring off, and asking her what the fuck she wrote on the mirror only gets him a "teehee! you're so slow, levi!" in response.
Who buys the other cheesy gifts
Listen, listen. I know it's easy to say Levi would get Hange very functional and useful gifts, but the man is a soppy romantic at heart. He's the one getting her a boquet of flowers, doing her a candle-lit dinner, and maybe a box of chocolates for valentines. It's his old-school gentlemanly side kicking in every time he goes gift-shopping. Hange on the other hand? Maybe a free-hot-springs gift voucher or a pair of boxers with rainbow ducks on them for him. She's a scientist, for god's sakes, don't expect her to spend time picking out the best gifts! (Secretly he finds them all cute).
Who initiated the first kiss
It was an accident. She meant to kiss him on the cheek, he turned, and smack, there it goes on the lips. She's shocked because that wasn't what she'd planned to do, and she's worried Levi will storm off, finding it to be crossing a line they've never spoken about crossing - and Levi would be disappointed inside, because that's not how he'd planned on kissing her, carelessly and without enough emotion put in. But accident it is, and now maybe they'll finally fucking talk about that stupid line - and cross it.
Once they recover, ofc.
Who kisses the other awake in the morning
Levi. I did say he's a romantic at heart. Hange sleeps late and wakes late, she's all over the bed and drooling into her pillow, he's the one getting up early to get the coffee and breakfast going. So he gives her a kiss with a scratchy "it's morning. wake up." before heading to the bathroom (because brushing teeth and shower comes first before anything else).
Who starts tickle fights
Hange! And she always loses! Cuz she's all pomp and victory at first but she's the ticklish one, not him, so when he finds an opening and stops grumbling, it's game over for her.
Who asks who if they can join the other in the shower
Hange. Because she's running late, she's got an experiment to get started on in her lab or a lecture to give, and she's got no time to wait until Levi finishes scrubbing himself spotlessly clean. So she asks him if she can join, and is stripping before he even says yes, prancing into the steamed-up bathroom shortly after.
Who surprises the other in the middle of the day at work with lunch
Levi. Because Hange forgets to eat when she's neck-deep in a lab-test or studying the results of a hypothesis. So he's there with all the food she hates, because she sucks at nutrition and whatnot, and she needs to get something in her system besides just junk. But he does have a very nice milkshake for her he thinks tastes like shit. But she loves it, and he loves her, and as long as she's polished off that broccoli piece she's trying to hide, then it's okay.
Who was nervous and shy on the first date
Levi!!! Romantic at heart, didn't I say! Is secretly worried and bothered about making sure Hange has a good time! Genuinely wants her to really enjoy the date, and make it as memorable as possible!
Not that you could tell any of this from his "fuck-this-shit-I'm-out" face.
Who kills/takes out the spiders
Levi. No spiders are taking up residence in his house. Nu uh. He doesn't want the cobwebs and spider eggs. Besides, he feels bad shooing them off or killing them. Better not to have them in the first place.
Who loudly proclaims their love when they’re drunk
Hange. She does it even when not drunk. Need I say more?

I finally finished this clip! Did translation the old way (2 phones and Google translate), so not sure if the translations are as accurate as it should be.
Got this audio clip on Twitter so I am not sure if it is official and when it was released. But I am drawn to the "unrequited love" mention from Levi to Hange here. Again
Every Levihan should watch this video to understand why the "Unrequited Love" in 132 is so special and why it is very very very, almost certainly, that it is Levi's confession to Hange.
If that audio clip is official, that would make 132's "Unrequited love" Levi's second time mentioning that to Hange.
Why?
And it is so weird that throughout the whole story, only Levi sees Hange's obssession towards Titans as romantic. Others see her as weird, eccentric, reckless, danger to self and others or hope for humanity etc but only Levi associates a sense of romance into Hange's attention towards the Titans.
I dont see Levi saying that about Hange's thirst towards books (Smartpass) or cars or her curiosity over Marley's technology.
Probably only he is interested in getting Hange's attention (for his own).
Tumblr media
Let's just appreciate the environment when he made the 132 "unrequited love" mention.
Everyone is finally feeling a sense of hope and control. The yeagerists are defeated, the airship is ready, the ship is ready to bring non-combatants to somewhere safe, everyone is forgiving or just willing to work together. It was a calm and peaceful feels before Floch came along.
Now, this is also the first time we see Levi and Hange interact after Hange's 126 proposal. After that either Levi is sleeping or Hange is busy working. In such a nice environment where everyone started to feel a sense of hope, I am quite sure Levi's 132 "unrequited love" is his attempt to answer Hange's 126 proposal.
Did Hange get him? i dont think so. Both of them have been drawn to look separately in the manga panels after the Yeagerist battle. I believe that Hange, after seeing Magath's death, is burdened and distracted by her responsibility. She is in her working mode and probably actively fighting to surpress her personal feelings, which she somehow let slip in front of Levi in 126. Unlike the 104, she doesnt want to show that openly. So I am guessing that while Levi is feeling the same vibes as everyone else as they prepare to get on the airship, Hange's mind is too burdened to process or acknowledge what Levi said.
I can only hope that Hange accept both his and her own feelings before she leave.

✍️ Fic authors self rec!
When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you've written, then pass on to other writers you know. Let's spread some self-love! 💛
Hiii Kit! Long time no see (110% my fault 😬 sorry abt that)
My favorite fics by me are:
1. The Truth is Out There, But So is Love
Special Agent Levi Ackerman is assigned to work with FBI outcast Hange Zoe (a k.a. Spooky Hange) in a case involving unexplained phenomena. The bureau's goal is to discredit Hange, but things don't go quite as planned...
2. Hypothesis Number Two
Erwin assigns Hange with a mission: finding a way to bond with Levi.
Hange's methods are... unorthodox.
3. Maybe You Just Love Me Too Much
The events of the retaking of Shiganshina force Levi to confront his feelings for the new Commander of the Survey Corps
4. The Empty Hangar
Levi receives a gift one morning, after the war.
5. Last Friday Night
Levi tries to piece together what happened the night before. Hange is there to assist (or mock) him!
These are all Levihan btw ☺️
Thank you for this ask, Kit! It was super fun revisiting my old fics for this hahahahha
Love you 🥰❤️

Hi Terra Darling ❤️
Festive fic request with prompt number 6 "family invited an old crush/first love to a dinner party" for Levihan
My headcanons for this prompt:
Hange or Hange's family invites Zeke to a dinner party & Levi is far from happy OR fed up by Levi being single for a long time, Kuchel invites Hange to a dinner party OR Levi or Hange or their family invites an old crush (Zeke/Erwin/Petra, pick one) & it turns out they both used to date him/her lol OR you come up with your own because it will be amazing whatever you decide!!
Happy holidays 🎄❄️
Now or Never (Part 2) Characters: Levi x Petra; Levi x Hange; Mike x Nanaba Word Count: 2188 words
The dining room lay almost bare. No photographs adorned the walls; their ornaments were still wrapped in paper, stored in boxes upstairs. Even the low, wooden dining table didn’t quite suit this new room.  As he sipped his wine Levi considered how it had once sat in Mike and Nanaba’s old flat, centrally occupying the square-shaped space. The table still proudly displayed the tiny tree which Hange had bought for the couple as a flat-warming present over a year ago. Of course, they had never planned to live there forever. This new dining room was longer and in want of furniture to fit it. Its walls were a pale, non offensive shade of magnolia - the exact choice of homeowners intending to cover over the marks - the mistakes - they had once made before moving on. Mike was pouring refills into their glasses. Levi placed a hand over his whilst, beside him, Petra quietly accepted.
“Come on…” Mike urged, “you’re getting the train back right?”
“I’ll take a tea instead.”
“We’ll put the kettle on after dinner.”
Reluctantly, he removed his hand.
“This it then?” Levi’s eyes shifted to the empty seat beside Mike. Of course, if they had been expecting more than two guests, then there would be a fifth floor cushion set out. Despite his uncertainty, Levi’s shoulders relaxed a little. He had experienced the same gnawing sensation when he and Petra had arrived at their house. Removing their shoes at the door, Levi had glanced down to see several discarded pairs beside theirs. He had assumed that someone had arrived before them, only to discover that they were the first.
“Yeah,” Mike replied, “Hange got caught up with an assignment as usual. Something about a deadline.”
Levi exhaled through his nose. He doubted that very much.
His hand brushed Petra’s shoulder with renewed reassurance as Nanaba appeared in the doorway. The fragrant scent of spices seemed to waft after her.
“The rice will be done in five minutes,” she announced. “Hope you guys are hungry!” “Can’t wait,” Levi commented, “... and nice place you’ve got here. What’s it like living somewhere with two floors?”
“Ah you know, it’s better than being cooped up in the flat.” Nanaba shared a sentimental glance with Mike. “We’ll miss it… but this is better. Even if we’ve got some decorating to do!”
She smiled over at Petra, who was nodding along politely despite not having been part of this previous era… an era of small apartments, of Mike and Nanaba as university graduates… of Levi and… Hange.
“So, how was your holiday? Where did you say you-” Nanaba frowned, reaching over to grab her phone from the side table. “Sorry - hold that thought. Hello?”
“It was so beautiful…. and just nice to spend time with family you know?” Petra continued to address Mike in Nanaba’s absence. “I’m sorry that I missed out on your New Year’s party though! I heard it was a fun night…”
Levi took a long sip of his wine.
“I don’t know if you’d call it much of a party,” Mike chuckled, “Nana and I were asleep just after midnight so we missed the excitement… guess you’ll have to ask Levi.”
“Hange’s outside!” Nanaba reappeared just as Levi knocked his glass sharply against the table. “Apparently they made their deadline after all.”
There came the sound of a door closing, followed by footsteps in the hall. Petra gave Levi’s arm a little squeeze. He smiled at her in response, though with a warmth which did not quite reach his eyes.
Voices echoed outside; Hange fawning over the staircase and laughing with Nanaba about the previous owner’s choice of carpet. Levi’s jaw set. Then, both of them emerged in the doorway.
“Evening!” Hange beamed around at them. Briefly, their eyes met Levi’s before they glanced away. “Sorry for almost flaking!”
“Why quit the habit of a lifetime?” Mike teased. Levi reached for his wine again. His mouth felt parched; his tongue lay heavy and useless. He craved water - something hydrating - rather than more alcohol.
“Nice to see you again Petra.” Hange gave a little bow of their head as Nanaba dragged another floor seat over to the table. “Heard you’ve just come back from your travels! Was it a good trip?”
“Oh yes, it was so beautiful and relaxing. The new year is the best time to go…”
Levi listened intently to Petra’s story for a second time, refusing to allow his eyes to stray from her face.
“...but it’s a shame I couldn’t spend New Year’s with you guys.”
Casually, Hange picked up the glass of wine which Mike had just poured.
“Oh you know, it was a quiet one in the end. Nothing much happened.”
Levi stared at them, utterly astounded by their nonchalance on the subject.
“Mike said you were all asleep just after midnight!”
“Well, Levi and Hange were up, weren’t you? Mike said he heard you both-” Nanaba walked in with a pot of steaming rice, just as Levi’s floor seat lurched out.
“Whoa!” Petra turned to her left. “Levi, what’s the hurry?”
“Seat got caught on the rug,” he lied. His eyes flew to Hange’s face who appeared quite composed by comparison. They blew out a little sigh as they lifted their glass again.
Nanaba set down the pot of rice. “No jogging the table. I’ve slaved away at this!”
Mike raised his eyebrows as Nanaba began serving heaped spoons onto plates. Petra received hers gratefully. Levi was just thankful to have something to occupy his hands.
“This smells amazing…” Hange praised her. “I love curry rice!”
“So… you had a late night, huh Levi?” Not to be deterred, Petra had rerouted from Hange’s interjection to their earlier conversation. She grinned at Levi expectantly over her plate of food. As he opened his mouth to explain, Mike cut in with a rumble of low laughter.
“Oh yeah… took him years but he finally got Hange where he’d always wanted them.”
Levi dropped his plate on the table, spilling rice onto its wooden surface
“Yeah…” Mike continued as Petra’s head whipped round, “...never thought we’d see the day, but there the two of them were, getting busy-”
Horrified, Levi willed Petra to look away from him as he frantically tried to scrape up rice grains from the wooden tabletop. He could feel her eyes on him; the more she stared, the more the tips of his ears burned.
“- at the sink.” Mike took a large spoonful of rice and curry, savouring its flavour alongside his own unendurable comedy. “Who would have thought you’d finally get Hange to wash a plate?”
Hange’s forced laugh was lost in the more genuine giggles from Nanaba and Petra. Although the threat which had been silently hanging over Levi had not fallen yet, he could still feel it swaying over his head. He set his spoon down on the side of his plate and let his trembling hand fall into his lap.
“...yeah, I heard you doing the dishes,” Mike explained as the laughter around the table died away, “...at like, four in the morning.”
“Well, a little cleaning up is the least you guys could do, seeing as you all insisted on staying at my place,” Levi muttered bitterly.
“You know we appreciated you sharing your floor with us!” Nanaba sighed, widening her eyes.
“...and some of us even got to share your bed,” Mike teased Levi again with a hearty wink.
“Gunther,” Levi told Petra automatically.  He reached for his wine again. By this point, he was going to need several refills to endure the rest of the evening.
“...I’m guessing he wasn’t who you really wanted sleeping next to you that night… huh, Levi?” Nanaba joined in, much to Petra’s delighted ‘shh-ing!’
Levi waved away their jokes again, his mouth twisted as though he was being forced to chew on tiny white grubs rather than rice. As he lifted his head he caught Hange’s eye again… and held their look.
This was dangerous.
That same rising dread intensified; remained suspended over Levi as he continued doggedly through one of the most excruciating dinners of his life. And yet, there was something which threatened to consume him whole; a feeling caught halfway between fear and fascination. Like oil and water, his conflicted emotions lay beside one another; equal parts danger and desire. They could never be reconciled, but only hold firmer in the presence of one another. Ever since New Year’s, something had started to take form… something that any and all other distractions hadn’t managed to douse…
Levi felt the brush of gentle fingers on his wrist. Petra was smiling at him. He closed his hand over hers, watching as their fingers lay entwined upon his knee. He couldn’t look at Hange again.
“What was it you said that night, Levi?” Nanaba continued, “just this once, then then never again?”
Levi’s thumb stroked over Petra’s knuckles as his mind drifted back to that night. He didn’t want to remember the warmth of the blanket enclosed around his body and Hange’s. He didn’t want to breathe in their scent; to feel the heat lifting from their cheeks; to have his throat run dry as they drew towards him…
“Levi, we can sleep here and never talk about this again. Or…”
Back in the present, Levi squeezed Petra’s hand.
“And I meant it…” he managed huskily, “...you guys can stay at a hotel next time.”
In part it was due to his own habit, but also out of a desire to extract himself from the table, as Levi took up their empty plates. He carried the dishes out to the kitchen and set them beside the sink. For a moment he gazed through their kitchen window at the view of Mike and Nanaba’s new neighbourhood. Rows of detached, two-storey houses stood adorned with gleaming windows and wooden balconies. The pair of them had taken the next step of their journey… their wedding was to follow in a few months…
Behind him there came the tinkling of glass and the sound of a door closing. Levi glanced over his shoulder.
“Um… just getting more wine.” Hange lifted the bottle they had taken from the fridge. Levi uttered a throaty sound halfway between a cough and a derisive snort.
“Sure as fuck you weren’t coming to wash these up…” Levi glowered at them until Hange took a step closer. They set their glass down beside Levi’s stack of plates. Through the open door and across the hall they could both hear the chatter of the other guests.
Levi turned away and began to run the water. Behind, Hange poured a little more wine into their glass. He couldn’t help but turn his head again. Hange was checking the label as they set the bottle down. With a sigh Levi lifted a plate and sank it into the dishwater, missing Hange’s eyes as they moved over him.
“Levi… do you want…”
He shifted around again to look at them. His mouth dried up before he could speak. He took in Hange’s broad shoulders beneath their white shirt; the deep, rich brown of their imploring eyes… There was always something so earnest, so fearless in their expression.
Levi’s eyes remained upon their face.
“...I’ll leave the bottle here.” They turned to leave the room, but stopped after taking a step. When they spoke again, their tone was low, conspiratorial.
“You know I won’t say anything, right…?”
Levi felt a ripple of tension travel down his arms. His hand seized up; the brush he was holding clattered onto the kitchen floor.
“Anyway, nothing happened that night…” Hange gave a little laugh without a trace of humour in it, “...after all, you made it pretty clear what you wanted.”
Slowly, they began to approach him.
“Just like I have to… right now.” Hange was smiling at him, a gentle blush dusting their cheeks. “You know when it’s your shot right? Now or never…”
The air itself lay thick and heavy. Levi was rooted to the spot, his mind clouded with them as they took another step. Oil and water. They couldn’t-  Petra was seated in the next room, laughing with their friends.
Again, he remembered the blanket that had embraced them as they lay together on his couch. Levi could feel their warm breath on his mouth. It was just the two of them under night’s black canopy, threaded with the lights of a million stars. Whilst the rest of the world had slept, they had lain so closely together… they had almost…
“So Levi…”
Hange’s lip trembled before their jaw set. Behind their glasses, their eyes were glazed with a love so profound that it took Levi’s breath away.
“If I told you now that… despite it all… bad timing, lack of communication, people and work and life getting in the way… despite my initial hypothesis and all the test runs in my head… my findings are still the same.”
Hange took a shuddering breath.
“You are all I ever wanted. That’s… what I’ve decided.”
He felt their fingers trace his shirt sleeve.
“...what about you, Levi?”

Tw: rant about ship wars under the cut!!!
Now that attack on titan is over, can we stop with the ship wars about Levi?? I thought that people would leave one another alone esp since the final instead all I see on twitter is toxic shipper wars and the old debate of "who did Levi Ackerman love romantically in canon?"
That is not what pissed me off since that has been going on for years, what pisssed me off is people sending direct HATE at Isayama and the Mappa team because of a ship they deluded themselves into thinking it's canon. I can count on my fingers how many people said that Isayama was "queerbaiting". Seriously people GET A GRIP.
TikTok isn't better in this either, all I see all the fucking time is Eruri and Levihan shippers down each other throats for no other reason than the fact that both parties have somehow convinced themselves that their ship is canon. Even worse is the fact that people on there are spoiled so much that they send hate to oc x characters or slefships, y'all need help. When someone doesn't ship with anyone, you all attack them with "proof" and subtext or whatever it is and call them delusional, talk about irony...
Next point. If I see one more person hate on either Erwin or Hange because of the ships, I will rip someone's hair out. It is not either of the character's fault and you hating on a character because of your fanon ship is nothing but stupid. Characters should never get hate bc of ships, esp not FANON ones. And don't even get me started on the hate Petra gets because of it all.
And finally, Levi isn't your tool and his worth doesn't lay in your fucking ship. All the time all I see when Levi is shipped with either is just Levi being so degraded. It makes me uncomfortable and it butchers Levi's character so much.
Why does it matter what his sexuality is?? Why does it matter if he is a sub or a dom??? None of these things are important about Levi. It's like he has become this puppet in this play you all are playing and you all are making Levi's worth based off of your ship. Of course this doesn't apply to all shippers, just those who are toxic and let themselves hate people bc of a ship...
Stop with this bullshit and ship in peace. You don't like Levihan, Eruri, whoever block the tags and move on ffs. At the end of the day Levi doesn't have a canonical love interest and its totally okay to ship your ship and admit that they aren't canon. Stop bullying each other and other people on the internet over factional ships.

Hello Krikkit 🤎
Your reblog with the height difference prompts is LeviHan coded to say the least! I can't stop thinking about that!
I know I already sent a request but if you're not too busy and if you're interested, could you write something (headcanons or drabble) with the "the shorter one insisting they're going to be the big spoon" starter?
I can imagine Levi's grumpy face already! Maybe Hange will gently convince him otherwise? Maybe it's fine he's the big spoon after all? What do you think?
Thank you and take all the time you need!
🤎🤎
ps: it's fine if you don't feel like taking this prompt of course! No pressure!
omg Livia listen!!! first of all, i'm so sorry, this ask is almost a year old, i'm the worst writer ever 🫣
but, the thing is that prompt hit right around the time i was determined to write a "fake relationship" trope for levihan, and your idea merged with that one to form a monster of a wip that's nowhere near the "headcanon or drabble" you requested here, one that was missing some key ingredient i couldn't find... until last week, when i received the prompt that's responsible for Light and everything CLICKED.
so, again, apologies for the wait, and a thousand thank yous 🖤 for helping me find a way to write this fic that i'm so very excited about and i hope you'll like!
Camera, chapter 1 - 👉 read on ao3

summary:
A nosy shipper asking inappropriate questions, actor Hange Zoë’s occasional misunderstanding of English idioms, and (a hoard of) fans recording the moment. Apparently, that’s all you need to break the Internet.
additional tags: Alternate Universe - Actors, POV Levi Ackerman, Misunderstandings, Miscommunication, Hange Zoë's First Language Is Not English, Tumblr Prompt, (except i took a lot of liberties sorry Livia hehe), Pining Levi Ackerman, Fake/Pretend Relationship

Hi there! 🙋🏾‍♀️ I've seen that you're taking promts for AOT, and if you don't mind I'd love to suggest something for Levihan:
Maybe Hange could get Levi some tea as a gift, and she gets a bit flustered when she gives it to him because she doesn't know much about tea, but he loves it because she picked the perfect flavour nonetheless, and he is touched by her gesture.
But those were just some ideas, basically I was just thinking of some Levihan and tea hehe - I leave the rest entirely up to you! 🤭
Have a great day! 🙌🏼
Hello Anon! Thank you so much for your request! I hope you'll like this!
Tea for Levi
It's been a few years since the war ended. Paradis was now known to be a hub for international trading, since it was decided that opening it to the world was the only way forward.
It took some time, but foreign businesses eventually ventured into Paradis, where they were offered venues and markets to operate. There were no more walls, so cities began to expand outwards and into the many plains surrounding what was formally known as wall Maria.
Today, there are many imported goods brought over from the handful of nations left in the world. Exotic fruits, interesting foods, new spices and animal products.
But Hange isn't looking for any of those. Today, she's searching for tea.
It just so happens that today was Levi's birthday, and despite having been close for a while now, Hange's perception of time was as awful as ever. She never seemed to remember important dates like this, including their own anniversary. But that's a story for another time.
"Tea is a safe choice, right?" She mutters to herself, marching down a busy road. She's determined to acquire a gift as soon as possible. It's already 5 pm, and stands will begin to close soon.
Getting Levi a gift was never easy, he never really wanted anything. His birthday stopped being meaningful to him a long time ago. Fighting for his life 24/7 certainly took away some of its importance.
But Hange wanted them to have a fresh start post rumbling. No more fighting, no more politics, and a lot of time off and relaxation. "Taking life easy" as she liked to say.
And little gifts and celebrations like this were also part of her plan for a new beginning. If only she hadn't forgotten about it.
"Right, that place should be just around-aha!" She steps into a tiny shop. There is only enough space for 2 people at a time as every other surface and floorspace is covered with shelves upon shelves of boxes of tea. It smells heavenly in here.
"What can I do for ya today?" A short, old man appears from behind the counter, greeting her.
"I'm looking for a gift, do you have anything special in today?"
"Special? For you? Miss, I believe you've already bought pretty much all the blends I sell!" He laughs.
Shit, Hange also forgot that she almost always got Levi tea for his birthday... and every other occasion where gift giving was customary.
She panics, but he continues. "Unless... you'd like to go for something like... this!" The man pulls out a small box and Hange has no other option but to go for it.
Will it be good enough though?
...
It's 7pm when Hange arrives back home. They've been living in a small cottage at the outskirts of what was once Shiganshina. Nowadays, it's just a small part of a bigger city. It's nice and quiet in this area as it's close to the edge of a forest.
She walks in quickly and almost runs into Levi's wheelchair. "A-h my bad!"
"Good evening to you too. Where have you been?" He asks, unfazed. He's already used to her clumsiness.
She takes off her coat and shoes, making herself comfortable. "Town" she replies shortly, at which Levi raises an eyebrow.
"Actually, I have something for you" she says nervously. There was no point in hiding this from him.
"Oh?" He looks curious, following her to the sofa. He pulls his chair close as Hange sits down, and they are now at eye level.
She reaches for the small box in her pocket. Hange had asked the shop keeper to wrap it nicely, so the box was covered in floral paper and tied with a small bow.
"Happy birthday, Levi!" She stretches her arm, revealing her gift. Hange's cheeks redden and she feels excited and anxious at the same time.
Levi's eyes widen. "It's today?"
"Yeah! Wait... you forgot?"
"I'm surprised that you thought I'd remember. But... thank you" he reaches for the box and carefully unwraps it. Hange's eye follows his every movement and Levi finds her excitement to be quite endearing.
"It's... tea? Chamomile?" There's a pause. Oh no. She knew such a simple flavour would be pretty underwhelming.
"Aahh- I knew you wouldn't like it. I'm s-"
"Thank you, Hange" he says, a small smile on his lips. "I always look forward to trying new blends together". He reaches out and pets her head. His movements are gentle, and his warm smile makes Hange go completely red.
She suddenly stands up and yanks the box out of his hand.
"I'LL GO MAKE SOME TEA"

Hi there! I've got a high school castes Levihan prompt for you, should you choose to receive it.
It's based on the 'I was talking crap about teacher A to teacher B and here they are at Target holding hands' idea! Maybe in this version Hange's a science teacher and Levi is the neurotic janitor. Who would have sensed the danger in venting about the janitor's psychotic standards on cleanliness and school rules to Hange? Who would have thought that those 2, in fact, had a little secret something going on...? Looking forward to what you come up with!
Tumblr media
Jean is fucked.
Jean is so, so fucked, and not even in the good way, not in the way he would have preferred to, not by a certain gorgeous black-haired beauty with eyes as magnificent as dark sky on a cloudless night, who would absolutely destroy him, at least, according to the fantasies that replay through his mind every time he makes it (and his hand) wander.
No, he's fucked in a cruel, merciless way, in a way that makes his knees tremble and his heart beat way too fast at the mere thought about it.
Honestly, Jean kinda wants to run straight to his mother, to hide behind her back and bury himself in her warm and safe (and that is his absolute priority) arms.
But he is seventeen years old, he's all grown-up. Wise beyond his years. Smart, incredibly brave. And very, very handsome. If his mother is to be believed. Which she absolutely must be. She wouldn't lie to him, right?
After all, mothers know their children best and all that.
So, grown-up, smart, incredibly brave and very, very handsome Jean doesn't allow himself to seek protection. He doesn't rush in his mother's arms, doesn't hide or quiver. He stands up tall, looks the danger right into its eyes, and-
Runs as far from it as fast he can, abandoning the snacks he's been craving throughout the whole day.
He'll probably have to later apologize about it to the poor girl, who tirelessly works at this store. He will do just that, beg her for forgiveness, get on his knees if she'd wish to, even volunteer to cover a shift or two for her.
But right now- his life is in grave danger, and Jean runs away, forgetting about sense, logic, honor and all those things that his mother was trying so hard to breed in him.
He runs until he's out of breath, until his legs all but give out. And stops only, when a familiar-looking house appears in his view.
It's Yeager's, because of course it is. Evidently, it's yet another sign that the universe is set on absolutely crushing him. Perhaps, it's a punishment, Jean thinks, for his incredible wit and unbelievably good looks.
But beggars can't be choosers, so loathe Eren though he does, Jean still knocks on the door of his house. Eren might be his mortal enemy and a jerk with a stupid face and ugly mouth that constantly spills out some bullshit, but Jean's situation is nothing short of dire, and he absolutely must vent his frustrations out to someone. And if fate decided that Yeager will be the one fulfilling the role of a willing listener, then so be it.
He can always punch that dickhead later, after he pours his heart and soul out to him.
It doesn't take long for his knocking to be answered, and, unexpectedly, Eren is not the one to open the door.
It's Mikasa, badass and beautiful Mikasa, who sets Jean's heart aflame like no other living person does. Even now, the sight of her takes his breath away, makes his heart flutter in a way it always does in her presence, although the glorious sensation is somewhat dulled by a prickle of resentment.
What is Mikasa doing at Yeager's house? Why does she never visit Jean? Are these two really-
His suspicions halt, as Mikasa's forehead creases with worry, and she asks in that gorgeous, deep voice of hers,
"Jean? Is everything alright?"
Mikasa's concern warms his heart, but the memory of the events that led him here serves as the metaphorical bucket of cold water that twists Jean's insides into a knot.
But he can't very well show it, not to Mikasa, the girl of his dreams, the absolute queen of his heart.
"Of course!" he lies blatantly, feeling proud - his voice didn't even waver, he didn't sound like that same pride is the only thing stopping him from bursting into tears. Good job, he congratulates himself after managing to put a hopefully convincing enough smile. "I just stopped by for- for a quick chat."
Mikasa's frown deepens. "With Eren?"
"Naturally," Jean says, before he can stop himself. "Me and him, we're great friends."
"If you say so..." Mikasa mumbles, sounding not at all convinced. But she does let him inside the house, and on a day that's already going horribly for him, Jean decides to count it as a win.
He follows Mikasa to Eren's room upstairs, and finds that she's not the only guest. Armin, Sasha and Connie are there too.
So all of them are hanging out together? And no one thought to invite him as well? What a bunch of traitors.
"Yo, Jean!" Sasha waves at him. She's lying on Eren's bed with her feet propped against the wall and head hanging upside down, and Jean debates if he should comment on it, but promptly decides against it. It's not the weirdest thing he's seen today, and definitely not the weirdest thing he's seen Sasha do.
"Hey, dude!" Connie turns to greet him too, eyeing him with an uncharacteristically thoughtful expression on his face. "Are you good?"
"You do look a little pale..." Armin chimes in.
Eren's the only one who doesn't at all react to Jean's arrival, opting to just glare menacingly at him. But he doesn't even try to throw him out of his house, and Jean is already grateful for that. If Eren wishes to just stare at him, that's more than fine with him. He's too emotionally drained to start another argument or even glare back at the boy.
He plops down on the floor next to Connie, and sighs so loudly and wearily that all eyes are instantly glued to him.
"Guys..." he begins, "There is something I need to tell you..."
"Oh!" Connie reacts instantly, beaming like it's a Christmas day. "You finally decided to come clean about your crush on Mikasa?"
Very quickly the room goes very quiet. And still. Jean promptly averts his eyes, doing all he can to summon a hole that will hopefully swallow him whole, while Mikasa fidgets with her skirt, a blush that Jean would have found absolutely breathtaking had he had the courage to look up at her, rapidly spreading on the apple of her cheeks.
"You idiot! That was supposed to be a secret!" Sasha hisses, smacking Connie's head. She probably meant to say it quietly, in a whisper that no one but Connie would be able to hear, but the universe hates Jean, so, of course, the whole room hears it.
The silence gets even more excruciating. It really is the worst day of his life. Jean can't even find it in himself to get mad at two dimwits he for some reason considers to be his best friends. He doesn't feel embarrassed too, not too much anyway.Mikasa now knows about his undying love for her, so what of it? His life is ruined anyway.
"Jean," Armin, kind and wonderful Armin, reaches out to him, offering a gentle smile and redirecting everyone's attention from the moment that will surely haunt Jean's nightmares for months to come. "You wanted to tell us something?"
And bringing it back to the moment that will haunt the rest of his now no doubt much shorter life.
But he came not just to feel sorry for himself. He came here to share his grievances, to warn the others to not repeat the mistake he's already made. He might as well spill it already.
"Well, yeah, you see, it's about janitor Levi..."
"That jerk?" Eren perks up. "I fucking hate that guy. He made me wash the floor of the whole east wing after I spilled some soda."
"Yeah, he's a bit intense," Sasha agrees. "He once threw out my burrito, because he said it stinks. I mean, who does that?"
"You think that's intense?" Connie exclaims. "He threatened to cut my dick off if he sees me missing the toilet once again."
"Well, he'd be right to do so, Connie," Sasha chides. "That's totally disgusting."
"I can't help it sometimes!"
"I've heard that he's actually a gangster," Armin says, interrupting Sasha and Connie's bickering. "And that's why he works at school. You know, so that'd be easier to sell drugs to the kids."
"He never offered me any drugs..." Connie complains. "You think that's because of the whole missing the toilet thing?"
Jean rolls his eyes at him, deciding to not dignify that nonsense with a reply. "What does it matter? What matters is that the guy is a psycho. I mean, you all agree with me, don't you?" He pauses, waits for everyone to nod their agreement, then continues, "Well, that's why I've shared some of our... mutual reservations about him to Hange-san. You know, just to vent out my frustration at the guy. And you know how Hange-san is totally cool and understanding, right?"
Once again, everyone murmurs their agreement.
"So, I ranted a bit about janitor Levi, maybe, called him names a few times... but Hange-san was laughing as I did so! Of course, they then told me that he's simply a complicated man and other stuff along those lines, but at the moment I thought they were just being professional and what not, but today I went to the store to buy some snacks, and I met Hange-san there, and janitor Levi was there too, and, well... they were holding hands and I think I even saw them share a quick kiss, like they were a couple or something..."
A chorus of 'Hange-san and janitor Levi?', 'holding hands?", 'a couple?' and a collective 'ew' erupts. Jean waits for it to settle down, before quietly inquiring,
"You don't think that Hange-san is plotting to kill me, right? I mean, as cool as they are, they're a bit crazy too, and I just insulted their boyfriend to their face, and they're a science teacher, they must know how to dispose of a body, I saw that on Breaking Bad, and..."
Jean's ranting, he knows, and maybe he's began hyperventilating too, and he's definitely in a desperate need of a hug, preferably from Mikasa, but all that he gets are sympathetic looks, and-
A scream from Yeager.
"Fuck!" he yells, beginning to pull at his hair with worrying ferocity. "Fuck, fuck, fuck! I didn't know they were together! I thought they hated one another, what the fuck! Guys, I-" he pauses, then looks ahead like a man that's about to be hanged. "Just the other day, I... I kinda told janitor Levi that Hange-san is batshit crazy, and that they... stink worse than a monkey's poo."
The whole room is rendered speechless, everyone is gawking at Eren with a mix of shock, sympathy and premature grief. And Jean- Jean bursts out laughing.
He was wrong. He was so, so wrong. It's not the worst day of his life, far from it. It's definitely one of the better ones. And it's bound to get even greater - when he witnesses janitor Levi beating the living shit out of Yeager.
He reaches out to him, clasps his shoulder just a bit too forcefully. "My friend," he says, with a grin that's threatening to break his face. "You're so fucked."

✍️ Fic authors self rec!
When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you've written, then pass on to other writers you know. Let's spread some self-love! 💛
Hey Sunshine ☀️
Thanks for dropping by my inbox with this ask! Well, I won't tell you I'm not embarrassed to do this but let's go for a bit of self-promo 🫣
So far my stuff is mostly Levihan-centered but I'm writing for other SNK pairings & for Levi x Reader at the moment as well (still in my WIP though).
✍️
1 - SUNBURST // 2.2k words // Modern AU // SFW // read on Tumblr & AO3
The latest of my works. It's part 2 of my series It's not like I've got something grand to say to you & I wrote it in one go within a few hours but I'm rather proud of it, especially Levi's characterisation. A word about this series: it will be a bunch of "chapters" requested for a drabble challenge that I decided to write as parts of the same story.
2 - ECHO // 1k words // Canon Universe // N.SFW-ish // read on Tumblr & AO3
I love Terra's (@dont-f-with-moogles ) story Never Enough & I wrote this drabble inspired by the series as a gift for her birthday. Once again, Levi's turmoil inspired me.
3 - BEHIND THE SCENES // 2.1k words // Modern AU // Actor AU // N.SFW-ish // read on Tumblr
This one was requested by anon & it's a Pikuhan fic (with a side of Levihan, I can't help it!). Actor AU is really a good setting for stories, I love to see them all being alive & well! I had so much fun writing this one! There'll be a part 2 & there'll definitely be other SNK Actor AU drabbles. I haven't posted it on AO3 yet.
4 - DUMBSTRUCK // 1k words // Modern AU // N.SFW-ish // read on Tumblr & AO3
Part one of It's not like I've got something grand to say to you series, written for another challenge. Hange's POV for once. Well I mean, Hange's POV about Levi's body hehe. The first time I've been proud of something I wrote tbh.
5 - UNDER THE MISTLETOE // 1.3k words // Modern AU // SFW // read on Tumblr & AO3
Part two of my Levi x Reader series Love Language (side note: part one is one year old & it's crap tbh, but I posted it as a reference to see if my writing is improving with time). A bit cheesy but I kinda like it however.
✍️
I'm not a particularly good writer but I'm not that bad after all I guess lmao.
A big shout out to all those who liked/reblogged/commented/kudo-ed my silly works! It means a lot to me & I'm so thankful for your kind support!
Sending love your way Sunshine 🫶☀️
✍️
Please consider reblogging / commenting / kudo-ing fics on Tumblr or AO3 to support writers, it's really encouraging for them!

Hange Zoë (S4 Spoilers! And Levihan)
At this point, I do not know if I am supposed to be putting a spoiler warning since the show is over, but whatever.
The sad thing to me about Hange's death is that she never gets to heal. The curious person who was so passionate about life is gone for good, and Levi loses his old friend forever. We see them break down over the course of the season, but Hange will never get up again, and that reality just seems so hopeless. Even after being in the face of death and danger in the past, Hange has always been able to look cheerful and move on, and still have a passion for life (on the exterior, at least). She loses this and never even has the chance to regain it.
Not only this, but if she had lived, would she have been able to regain it? I feel post-war Hange, had she survived, would have been much like Hange in that forest scene with Levi. Not exactly happy as she used to be, but certainly not so cold as she was. They both took enormous blows to their mental health, obviously. She would definitely never be the same, but could she have been similar?
On top of that, as mentioned in another post of mine about Levi, people undergoing trauma cannot heal from the trauma as it is going (obviously). So Hange, like Levi, has never fully processed all the grief built up over years of her friends' and comrades' deaths. Levi seems to block it out mentally by focusing on the next step, the avenging of their life. Similarly, Hange turns away from the issue and focuses on her titan research, or how to improve this weapon or that one. They both are always moving and moving to run away from the inevitable that comes crashing down when there's nowhere left to hide. So yeah, she would have a rough time.
Also, Levi and Hange would absolutely sleep in the same room. Or try to, at least. Maybe not the same bed, but they have always had each other's back in battle, so when the battle rages on in their heads even though they're safe, they would be there for one another.

Arguing like Levihan an old couple.
I know we have been robbed of this scene in the anime.
Tumblr media
But, the anime changes make Levihan more interesting to decipher and enjoy.
Ok. I am not sure if this is a cultural thing. For Asian, sometimes when parents are in disagreement, they sometimes utilise a third party to communicate to the other person. More often times, the children play that role. So, if mummy wants to tell something to daddy, mummy will say that to the child instead. Much like using insinuation but not in a bad way.
Here, we have our dear Eren, playing that role, while Levi and Hange fight out their unspoken war.
----------------------
Round 1 - Hange attacks
Tumblr media
The very first line we hear after the scene cuts from the military court, is Hange complaining about Levi.
Now, of course Hange knows it hurts a lot, cos look at Mikasa's and her expression when Levi was kicking Eren.
Tumblr media
Hange knows the purpose and the need for Eren to go through the pain. She also knows that Levi doesnt kick Eren out of pure violence, unlike Mikasa. But she had purposely implicated Levi after the trial, probably to show that she is on Eren's side (she did get interested in him immediately after this). I mean, she could have explained the rationale of Levi's actions to Eren to comfort him, seeing that Eren was traumatised, instead of agreeing and complaining that Levi had been mean.
So, I am thinking that Hange really think that Levi had taken it too far. But unlike in the manga where she confronts him directly, she decided to form an alliance with Eren and complain about Levi's mean-ness. She made her point to Levi indirectly via her conversation with Eren.
Erwin's move
After Hange fired her first attack, uncle Erwin recognises that the couple is going on a war on their own, so he quickly abstain himself by explaining the rationale to Eren, hoping to comfort him.
He did not want to get caught in their battle. Same like Miche. He had wisely maintained silence from the start.
Levi's defence
So, there is no one to help Levi against Hange's unhappiness. It was a personal grudge between those 2 anyway. So Levi made his move. Since Hange attacked via her conversation with Eren, Levi defended himself with Eren too.
Tumblr media
So, Eren allowed himself to get caught by the 2. Levi won because he gave an indirect answer to Hange, that Eren did not hate him, or didnt mind his actions, which means it doesnt matter if he had gone too far.
Hange recognised that she had lost, had no choice but to address her unhappiness and providing evidences to Levi directly now.
Tumblr media
Levi, seeing that she is not using Eren as a vessel to talk to him, responded back directly to her too.
Tumblr media
Round 1 - Levi won for getting Hange's attention back to him
-----------------------------------
Round 2 - Levi's counter-attack
So, they started their own dialogue and Hange went into her curiousity mode. Levi decided to attack Hange, by throwing shades at her titan obssession, again indirectly by addressing Eren.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hange knew better to engage him, stood her ground and continued to assert her curiousity of Eren, which eventually allowed them to discover that Shifters can regenerate in human form.
Round 2 - Hange won for Humanity
-------------------
Tumblr media
In the manga, Levi's words actually can be interpreted as "having a broken tooth is always better than getting dissected". But the anime adapted it such that Levi and Hange had their own conversation/ dialogue, and how the two of them banter around each other's weirdness.
Quite cute actually.

C’mon don’t be shy, share your hot take haha. Levihan canon in yams idea would be Levi kissing Hange’s ashes.
For real 😭
Okay you asked for it, the thing that bothers me most abt aot is pushing the plot at the expense of the characters. Jean for example had such a wonderful build up in the 1st season and then he was just... There. Same thing with Armin, I love that boi but somewhere on the way I forgot he actually hates himself and when he had that massive mental breakdown at the end of the manga it was sooo good but it shocked me bc for so many chapters he was just... There. And not to mention that at the end he acted so much out of character. Idk if that's just me, but somehow these characters' actions got detached from their personalities?? Idk how to put it, they were there and they were doing things but there were no "character" moments anymore, they felt more like pawns in the game. I don't even wanna talk abt what happened to Connie and Historia 💀 And mikasa? Her beautiful moment when she thought eren was dead was so powerful and then somehow her character got completely abandoned 💀 it's like yams said "I don't want to play with you anymore". There are characters he put much more effort in, and that'd be Reiner and Gabi for example, and he has shown over and over again that he's able to create interesting characters. So what happened? I mean it's understandable that he was rushing to finish it, creating aot must've been the worst time of his life with the bullying and the pressure, so I get it. But as a reader, it leaves me somehow unsatiated. To see so many characters lose potential (yep the way he got rid of ymir still pains me 🤧)...
So when the characters are the way they are, there's no wonder the ships feel weird. Annie and Armin for example-you can see this ship being foreshadowed from the 1st season and I actually like the dynamic of a girlboss and her sweet bf but then yams puts Annie in a crystal for multiple seasons and then they're in love. Idk I just feel their relationship is more messed up than he shows and Id love to dive into that. And abt Gabi and Falco - it really ticks me off that he's acting like a grown ass man from a romance movie. And how old is he? Nine? I know kids being kids is a foreign concept in anime, but it's the first time I've seen stereotypically masculine romantic traits being put on a child. Usually it was more like kids saving the world, not kids shielding their love interest from perpetrators with their own body, and it was difficult to watch for me. Eren and Mikasa for me are just a couple of underdeveloped (Mikasa) and unlikeable (Eren) characters, but all of this just depends on personal taste.
So yep, that's the tea
