Dear ...,

What makes you think you are so superior to everyone else? You are constantly implying the things I like and enjoy are “lame” and “uncool”.

Whenever I try to talk to you, you only ever say, “cool”, “uh-huh”, and you act completely uninterested. I don’t care if you are uninterested, but it would be nice if you could at least pretend or not make me feel as if I was the lamest person you knew, once in a while.

The way you talk and the way you act shows you do think you are superior.

Whenever you “need” or want something you expect to have it right as you are demanding it, but if I were to request the same from you, you’d demand that you can’t do it right then. You would win.

I can’t talk to you about the way you make me feel because if I did, you would become a bully. You’d try to find many different ways and words to use to make me feel inferior and put me down.

Believe me, I wish I didn’t care what you or anyone else thought about me, but I do. When you bully me, I believe the words you use to hurt me and they do hurt me.

One day, maybe you’ll figure it out. And one day, maybe I’ll be brave enough to tell you my truth, but that day is not today. I don’t know when that day will come, but it’s not today.

My sister has literally the WORST comebacks, and storms out like a fucking diva every time she starts getting argumentative, and someone throws it back at her. She can be a real fucking pain the ass.

Once my mom made chicken broth for something she was cooking and then I came back from swimming and I was thirsty so I told my sister to get me something to drink and she was like hey here's lemonade so I drank it and it was chicken broth and then I get mad at her and chased her around the house so my mom got mad at me for getting the floor wet.

Dear little sister,

There's a distance between us that breaks my heart.  I feel inadequate to be the eldest of us two because I don't know how to love and be vulnerable the way you do so naturally. I want to be your rock, I want to be closer, I want you to know that underneath the petty fights and defensive, thick exterior, I love you - more than anyone in this whole universe.

I feel that I've failed to be the sister I could and want to be and I'm scared it's been so long that I don't know how to be.  I'm suppose to be you're role model, but the truth is... you're mine.
