Can you read the little sign in front of this gorgeous old house in Rye, East Sussex, England? No? Let me help you. It says: Rooms Available! The sign belongs to one of Rye’s most prestiges hotels, Jeakes House, located in the famous and much photographed Mermaid Street. That’s a long winded way to tell you that I miss England so much. I haven’t been there since four years and besides Covid quarantines my current personal circumstances make it very hard to visit this year. But I still, I haven’t given up, yet. How can one not wanting to visit if you can easily run into a romantic street scene like this? I hope you dream a little bit about traveling to England with me. Sometimes things don't workout when shooting film. After shooting two rolls with my holga I returned home excited to develop. First roll looked thin, as in virtually nothing on the film. Second roll same. After some freaking out (correction alot of freaking out and blue air), googling and talking to friends, I narrowed it down to either my developer being too old or that I had somehow cross contaminated my developer and fix. I hate waste so this evening I decided to see if I could salvage anything. This is Cupar.
