Why is OMitB putting Oliver Putnam with women?? He's gay. He is a gay man. Give the man a boyfriend. Jesus, he can't even kiss Meryl Streep convincingly.

On another note, Charles Haden Savage is right there and I've never seen two men in their 70s have more chemistry. It's 2023, just let the old men get together and find some other way to involve more women in your script besides throwing romantic interests at the men, Jesus.

charles and oliver could've been canon this season with just that one retcon of charles' love interest, and im willing to say it'd make just as much sense to the plot, if not more. mabel feels left out because the two of them are a lot closer and she doesn't understand it? they're dating! she feels left out because she's third wheeling now and it's weird, and that could be motivation for her because her two old guys are finally getting their lives together and they're like, ancient. it could also be a Thing™ for angst purposes because 1) the policies against dating between members of the production so like secret relationship and the strain there, and 2) it'd give charles even more reason to be jealous of oliver's attention towards ben. just some thoughts.

I started watching omitb because of a clip I saw on tiktok that gave me the impression Charles and Oliver were a couple, and I'm still annoyed I was wrong.

Follow up on my last post I had a second dream about old gay men.

oliver and charles from only murders in the building. Apparently charles was recently stuck in an elevator and it freaked him out but he says he's fine. Oliver asks him to get a ring refitted for some reason. Charles gets onto and elevator. The doors start to close. Charles freaks out and pries them back open and says that his recent "near death experience" made him reevaluate his life and what really matters and he says all he could think about was oliver. He gets down on one knee and proposes to oliver with his own ring.

I woke up a little bit later then fell back asleep and dreamt up a sequel to this event where everyone's freaking out over it but I don't remember as much.
