One for the Books
9 chapters | 25k | by neondiamond
When Harry decides to move to London a few weeks before Christmas to pursue his dream and become the new owner of a bookshop after seeing an ad online, everyone he knows tells him he must be out of his mind. As he gets acquainted with his new life and meets a handful of incredible individuals—one of which he happens to grow particularly fond of—he slowly comes to the realisation that it may just be the best decision he's ever made.
Or the one where there’s a bookshop, a cat, OT5 friendship, a budding romance, and all the festive vibes.

I am so glad I gave Cherry Magic a chance I was never sold on TayNew previously I felt they were really awkward around each other when they were PeteKao but that was 5 years ago so I am happy I gave them the benefit of the doubt because they are honestly so great as Karan and Achi
I never considered myself a huge taynew fan but for them to make this kind of comeback after 5 years with a show that we had to wait an entire year for and then for it to be such an A+ adaption is highkey iconic lol. KMA and DBK were fine but this is their best work no doubt. they're slowly climbing the ladder again for me lol. It was really worth the wait 🥺

Pokerus Designation 1B
cw medical
The culmination of a Pokémon project by the provisional government that ultimately failed. The objective of the project was to increase the combat capability of Pokémon. Designation 1B was a failure strain which cost the Provisional Government of Kanto millions in R + D, as traditional weapons continued to fail in making ground in The War. Designations 1A and 1C were used to great effect on combat monsters.
Designation 1B was placed in canisters in opposing settlements, and proved to be an incredibly lethal agent in creatures with limited disease immunity, including humans. This caused mass deaths among children and monsters in settlements, and crippled communities with it's extreme symptoms. Designation 1B also had transmission capacity from parents to offspring.
Designation 1B is a modified agent that sheds from vectors in alarming capacity. The contagion is a 10% chance on a d100 per exposure for any creature that has a limited immune system. On a 1-10, the disease is transmitted.
A creature infected in this manner may make a Constitution Saving Throw. DC 15.
On a 10 or below, the creature becomes ill with the following symptoms.
Fever
Chill
Profuse Sweating
Fatigue
Paranoia/Aggression
Body Aches
Extreme Hunger/Thirst
On a 5 or below, the creature also suffers the following symptoms.
Tissue breakdown (bleeding lesions)
Vomiting
Anemia
Skin Hemorrhages
Hematohidrosis
On a 1, the creature also suffers the following symptoms.
Organ Failure
Creatures must succeed on a sequence of Death Saving Throws for the onset of symptoms on a roll of 5 or below. On a failure, the creature dies.
The creature may re-roll the Constitution Save at the end of each day of rest. A day of rest lowers the Constitution Save DC by 2.
After 1 day of rest, the Constitution Save DC is 13.
After 2 days of rest, the Constitution Save DC is 11.
And so on.
On a successful Constitution Save, the creature then enters a period of unrestrained, forced growth as its metabolism increases.
The creature gains a Hit Dice of HP to represent this growth, and may develop additional benefits later in their life (such as increased attack damage or higher ability scores).
Pokémon infected with Pokerus are larger, faster, and much stronger than their non-infected counterparts.
After two weeks, a Pokémon or other creature infected with the virus is no longer infectious.

Can we please acknowledge how relatable the Episode "One For The Books" is?
Like it's not just a good lesson for small kids, but as a 'gifted' kid through freshman year of high school only to totally hit a brick wall and start to burn out in Sophmore year (I had literally the pickiest and most opinionated bio teacher that really fucked up my entire experience) the story really makes me wanna cry.
Like 'gifted' was used so liberally throughout my childhood but in reality I struggled so much, I just never said anything so I was always late to turn stuff in because I had to figure it out on my own.
Something my 5th grade teacher made me so scared to ask for help because I was so afraid of being treated like an idiot (Turns out I had undiagnosed autism and that really explains a lot). So seeing a kids show really dive into that topic, and in such a well done way, just makes me feel so seen.

100 followers is finito!
AND THAT'S ALL SHE WROTE, FOLKS!
my 100 followers party is DONE
Greatest apologies that this has nearly taken a MONTH.
Honestly I wasn't prepared for the number of asks I received in the best way possible—I can't believe this community wanted so much (affectionately).
I've had such a blast diving into some of our favorite aviators, and am beyond blessed that ya'll have seemed to love every minute. I truly can't believe that at the time of this post, I'm at 192 followers! That's a net gain of 90 people! AAAAHHH!
Kudos to Ice for dominating this list and making me reevaluate all my choices in men.
Maybe we'll do this again soon when I hit 300 followers? Maybe? I'll see. For now though I'm in serious need of Vodka, some Val Kilmer content (because Ice has DESTROYED this list!) and probably a cold shower and three years of sleep.
Enjoy our boys! I certainly have. Thanks again all my lovelies, you're all the best! And to the CCS squad (and @angstytalesrx) you're all my favorite people ever!
