the idea to transmit the signal off of the navy ships surrounding the island, Vegapunk really is a genius for a reason

(also side note: it makes me now even more curious how is Luffy coming up with the names for his new attacks, where they usually have some title including Dawn. does he just instinctively feels they're related to Sun? 🤔)

this is the worst timing for me to be caught up with the manga and now i have to learn how to patiently wait for next chapter each week (or even more weeks bc of breaks 😭) why is it so stressful right now😭

There's something from One Piece chapter 1109 I'm trying to make sense of.

Here's an image of one side of the OP world:

The red section is a supercontinent called the Red Line and the horizontal line is an ocean called the Grand Line. Where they cross on this image is called Reverse Mountain. On the other side of the world, where those lines cross again is Mariejois, seat of the world Government.

The Grand Line is further divided into Paradise (The section between the East Blue and South Blue) and the New World (The section between the North and West Blues)

In the most recent chapter, we have several scenes from around the world and it's night in some places and day in others.

Of the daytime locations, we get Dressrosa (in the New World), Foosha Village (in the East Blue), and an unnamed location in the South Blue.

Of the nighttime locations, we get Mariejois, Water Seven (in Paradise), Kamabakka Queendom (in Paradise), and an unnamed location in the West Blue.

Finally, we have one unnamed location in the North Blue whose time of day is indeterminate because of a snowstorm.

Now if you compare the locations I gave with the above image, I'm having a hard time figuring out where the sun's position should be. If it is daytime in the East and South Blues, it should also be daytime in Paradise. And similarly, it should be nighttime in the New World.

I considered the possibility that it's daytime in only part of the areas as well and it might be able to add up. It would have to be late afternoon in Dressrosa and early morning in Foosha Village. So high noon on the planet is likely somewhere to the left of Reverse Mountain on that image.

Anyway, this all started cause I wanted to figure out if the planet rotates along the Grand Line. I'd love if a meteorologist or whoever is good at this kind of thing could chime in.

got some spoilers ahead, just a littol bit, full sumarry still unreleased

-Vegapunk's message is being broadcasted around the world and he asks every single person to open their den den mushis, we see some characters like Vivi and wapol doing that

-The gorosei retirees- i mean elders, start wondering where the live stream ks coming from (they are about to get canceled 💀)

-Luffy is stomping the shit out of Kizaru and saturn but saturn BARELY gets damaged since he regenerates himself

-Saturn says fuck it and summons his other four boomer besties to fight with him

-Break next week 😒

One Piece Chapters 1107-1112 Livestream Discussion/Review: It's So Nostalgic!

There is a lot of things that have transpired with Luffy, Nami, and the other Straw Hat members as they continue to persue in their escape from Egghead Island only to be stopped in their tracks by one of the five great elders, St. Jaygarcia Saturn which also leads to the reintroduction of Brogy and Dorry from Little Garden coming to their aid to escape as Vegapunk is prepared to share the world's secret throughout the globe.

Can we talk time zones? Especially after the recent chapter? Foosha village and Dressrosa seems to be day time, but Water Seven is at night, as well as the I think it was the west blue island? Interesting, it was a minor annoyance during the decks of the world that all of the islands around the world always seemed to have the same time of day
