#Prototyping - a test run of the #SomethingBoldSomethingBlueBridal pattern redesign in muslin with boning. Lots of piecing and snipping and pressing goes into corset paneling to hug and enhance curves. Anna K’s Custom Wedding Dress required this test run before creating a Fit Sample on fabric more similar to the final fabric. When I’m creating Custom Fashion I often “make the dress” up to 5 times before cutting in to the final fabric. Muslin is an easy to work with basic woven cotton fabric that’s affordable and also dyeable, making it a smart choice for test runs with future use possible. This is the inside of the bodice, but I actually really like the idea of keeping boning visible! If you have a Custom Fashion idea you want to have brought to life by a professional let’s chat! As a Fashion Designer I love making dream dresses come true! It doesn’t have to be a Wedding Dress, I just happen to work with a lot of Brides.
