For the 5 facts: Cassian takes Jyn as his fake date for a family party (and of course they’re both pining for each other)

Really, it's all Kerri's fault. Wasn't she just saying last year that she might not even want a blowout bash for her quinceñera? Plus she didn't have to pick Jyn as one of her damas. Jyn's always been more Cassian's friend than hers. But Kerri insists that she totally looks up to Jyn as an example of the kind of woman she wants to be, so she wants her by her side as she enters into womanhood. Jyn has a hangover and a new tattoo when she hears about this, so even she's a little baffled by this reasoning.

But okay? Fine. Wear a big poufy dress and go to a party. Free food, free booze, and she can hang out with Cassian all night and devour him with her eyes because he's going to be all gussied up too. Fine by her. And Cassian's going to be her escort? Um. Okay. Fine. This will be fine. Better than some pimply teenager. That was probably the whole reasoning right there. Are they going to make her go to the Mass? What the fuck. She's not even Catholic.

Cassian may have almost choked on his own tongue when he saw Jyn in her dress. Kerri might look like Quince Barbie herself but she has incredible taste even at four - oh god, fifteen, his baby sister is growing up. When he's not mentally trying to wrap his head around that, he's trying not to think things about Jyn that would probably get him smited into a smoking hole in the ground for thinking them in church. If not by God, then by his mama. (He has practice with not thinking those thoughts about Jyn. He has. A lot of practice.)

Jyn will not admit it to anybody, ever, for any reason, but at the party, she does kind of feel like a Disney princess waltzing with Cassian. Who really does look amazing and he's looking at her like she's amazing and, um, what exactly is happening here?

Later on, in the janitor's closet, she feels like a Disney princess again. But a Disney princess in a really, really smutty fanfic, getting absolutely railed by her prince.

Epilogue: so yeah, they say during the wedding toasts three years later. The point is, this is all Kerri's fault.
