AU where Bruce is dead, Jason is Batman, and Tim becomes his Robin. Joker kidnaps Tim and makes him Joker Junior and after Tim kills Joker, before sumcombing to his injuries of the torture.Jason vows no more partners. No More Robins.
Then gets transported to a Good Dad Fanon Bruce and Batfam universe (where Jason has stayed dead) He’s always avoiding Tim. He’s hanging out with Dick and Damian and Duke and Steph, but when Tim shows up, he clams up.
Tim confronts him, Jason breaks down. Because if he got used to having Tim around, inevitably when he gets back to his home universe, he’s going to feel the loss all over again.
There is no Damian or Duke in his universe to miss. Dick is still swinging on ropes with his parents, and Steph is a normal college girl.
All Jason sees when he looks at this Tim, is what he failed to save.

#i will warn you only once: tsc spoilers#literally just finished it as i am drafting this its 5am where i live#so you may be subjected to some nonsense#that all being said i have thoughts.and feelings#the kevin was lovely and tasted delicious! jean defending him at every turn even when he swears to hell and back he'll kick his ass#the kevjean was surprising i was only half expecting that#the dog metaphors i have to say i need this one cashed in. nora run me my check#im joking of course dont quote me on it#jean taking kevins promise to the end and living on it is seriously so. well.#'be careful with him' 'take kevin's name out of your ignorant mouth' 'you promised me'#also kevin getting called the court's queen had me tender and on my back oml#jean's relationship with the trojans is sweet and he is very interesting and complicated#a character with many moving parts im sure#there were a few things i did not care for#namely jeremy and the trojans felt remarkably flat to me bar lucas (by far the most interesting) and catalina on occasion#i didnt quite enjoy jeremy's pov and felt like he spent perhaps way too much time worrying over jean? if that makes sense#i wish he had some more complexity to him or really anything to catch a hook on#all we know is hes attractive and smiley and gets along terribly with his family#so much of his character is sucked out by jean he didnt feel like much more than a plot device to me#which i wouldnt mind if jeremy wasnt the literal main character alongside jean#i was living for everything jean thought but had to drag myself through jeremy's pov if im honest#uuuuh what else. neil! funny. deranged. i have to love him#andrew couldnt give less of a fuck about jean which is funny as all fuck#two bugs placed in the same habitat ignoring each other#the thing with elodie i thought was complicated. i wish we knew some more about her or that shed been mentioned a little earlier#but im assuming thats a topic to be revisited#uuuuuuuh yeah so thats most of it. i think my first thought and the one that sticked out the most to me is that the book felt remarkably#pedestrian#not necessarily in a bad way#it lacked to me one of the main appeals of aftg which were the numerous interesting side characters

#actually he was very cheeky today#he's gotten into a habit of delaying recall but then compensating by doing a REALLY enthusiastic u turn when he's ready#so like he'll be trotting up to a dog#I'll recall him#he'll ignore me and continue to greet the dog#and once he's greeted it he dramatically springs around and sprints back to me#sitting eagerly for his treat#what do i do???#like i should still reward right?#or do i not reward because he KNOWS what recall is and he's not doing it correctly?#he's getting the best of both worlds and he knows it#say hi to a friend AND get a snack#no sacrifice needed#honestly it's not a huge deal because we are literally the only family on the beach that has any recall training at all#and people will let their dogs approach from a hundred yards away#so it's not like harold is being rude or intrusive to other dogs#i just have such a hoard that i like to minimise interaction with other dogs and mind our own business#because we don't need to make friends with every dog we pass#if harold looks REALLY excited to meet a dog and it seems friendly and appropriate i'll let him go and say hi#but usually i recall him because the other dog looks rude unsure or obnoxious#but NO he never listens#nor does he care#because everyone is a friend regardless of whether they try to eat him#harold#dogs

I can't focus for the life of me and I have an in person final in just over an hour, a presentation I need to finish making by Monday at 8am to give later that day, a take home final due on Tuesday, and another final I haven't begun to study for yet gahhhhhhhh

#sorry i need to complain about how sick i feel and didn't want to bother anyone 😭 feel free to ignore this#turns out that blueberries are my NEMESIS and i only found this out after eating them for three breakfasts straight aofeijaoi#so my entire body is inflamed and my intestines are trying to kill me every time i eat even if it's the most low fodmap food ever#i hope things sort themselves out soon aeoifaj i've been trying to ween myself off of taking so much ibuprofen but like#i'm just in so much pain all of the time 😭😭#unless i eat like. the blandest food in the world and also lay flat on my back all day and stare at the ceiling which makes me want to die#i had been in kind of a good place where i wasn't getting tummy sick as much but lately it's been so bad#i've quit all caffeine now too hoping it will help so i'm exhausted from that aeofiaoijf it's just a disaster#and i've been having cold-like/allergy symptoms for like a month lmao awoiefajoi it's just never ending!!!#even my period gives me flu-like symptoms#i need to go to a doctor about it but there's not much they can do for half of the things that are wrong w me aoijefaoi#i feel like the most they'll do is give me muscle relaxers for the tmj and i don't want to be on heavy duty meds like that aiewojf#uuuggggghhhhhhhhhhh#*dykeposting

i haven’t written a single word of anything since uni ended and everything i’ve tried to draw has turned out awful and i can’t even sit through an episode of a tv show to distract myself because this time of year makes me so depressed and suicidal i hate this

One of the things that infuriates me about tumblr R/P is the kind of rolep/layer who is only genuinely interested in writing with you if they can see their muse being romantically and/or sexually involved with yours.
Like I don't give a fuck what you wanna R/P. I'm not paying you, I'm not your boss, and I know damn well I'm not going to change anybody's mind on anything. I just wish people were honest about what they want instead of pretending they want to write with you only to consistently ignore you in favor of muns with muses their character has a crush on.
#The fact this happened with a longform V/T///M R//Per with me as the most recent example.#I was so excited for a new person to join the community much more the longform R//P side of it.#Every thread we wrote died so fast and died on their turns.#Then they constantly ignored my asks/likes on their starter calls and only answer to male muses their muse had been making eyes at.#And the threads they had with those muses went on strong most of the time.#It also felt like the didn't actually give a shit about the source material and I could really feel that when in-universe discussions#were actually happening. Which is again whatever. I think I just got my hopes up too high for that that person ended up seeking.#I don't get why the kept following me on multiple accounts when they were constantly ignoring me.
