Columbo and the Knight (1984)

put me in the universe where Columbo ran through the 1980s and had a crossover episode with Knight Rider. I think they deserved it, and I am not just saying that because they're my two favorite Old Shows. @telebeast wrote a little fanfic blurb about it and I HAD to visualize it into a comic (which is also the longest comic I have finished thus far at five pages...), so writing credit goes to them.

I hope y'all are doing well #ive been reading a lot of fics with these two and i see how the authors have the characters refer to each other in their fics #and that got me wondering how much do they say each other's name in the show and how do they refer to each other #since this is the house video ill put his stats here #s1 was 19 times s2 was 31 s3 was 34 s4 was 30 s5 was 35 s6 was 58 s7 was 25 and s8 was 28 #in total he says his name 260 times. Mostly refers to him just by Wilson #He's only said Wilson's first name 7 times. Once by Jim 3 by Jimmy and 3 by James #He'll use his full name in professional settings or to be sarcastic or to pretend to be him #You know since House is the main character and in every episode of the show i thought he'd say his name more than him #but Wilson beats him by 42 times bc s7 and s8 he doesn't say his name as much. it took Wilson getting cancer for him to say it more #than he was before that point

Can’t wait for my drivers license to arrive so I can be driving legally again for the first time in 1.5 years!

#for legal reasons this is a joke #SO THIS IS WHATS UP #as a youngin #a young adult one might say #I was starting to learn that some systems are bullshit when I’d previously been a pretty big rule-follower #my mom showing me how to navigate the healthcare system a bit/showing me how student loans legit have practices to confuse and fuck us over #also im really bad at getting things in on time (this is an important fact)#so when I see that my drivers license is abt to expire. I’m like ‘Oup gotta get that done!’ then promptly forget abt it #next time I remember it’s 3 months expired.#I check the date and realize that wait! in a year imma be turning 21 and just one yr after that Real ID’s will become mandatory (im p sure)#so I decide to push off renewing my license! I think that the whole process will b annoying asf bc I’ve only dealt with the DMV in-person #and it SUCKED and took forever. I’m thinking that if I renew my drivers license right on/after my 21st birthday I can knock out two birds #with one stone: I can get it as a Real ID and I can get an updated picture that’s flipped sideways so getting age-checked is faster #little do i know: it’s v much illegal to be driving around with an expired license!#I drive around for a year (over a year? I don’t remember when I first realized it was expired) j having fun #then one month b4 my 21st birthday I get into an abroad study thing and have to get my passport. which I realize is also expired. and #realize that to renew my passport I have to have a valid drivers license. At this point I also realize how fucked I could be if I get pulled #over with my expired license. so I check out the process for DL renewal and rejoice! it’s online!#AND THANK FUCK I CHECKED THEN. bc if I had waited LITERALLY two more days I would not have been able to renew online and would’ve had to go #in-person. and there were no in-person appointments until after my 21st. and I learned in this process abt the fines my state applies when u #renew a DL late and ALSO that u have to entirely retake the test/redo all the paperwork shit if it’s expired for too long. I would’ve had to #retake the test n everything if I’d gone past my bday. I was also in another state for college. idk how incoherent these ramblings are but #basically I would’ve been Ultra Fucked. anyways! got that figured out #renewed the DL and had it sent to my home. then da house floods and crime goes up in the neighborhood and my DL ends up either being lost #Or tossed (with other flood-damaged things) or stolen.#I don’t realize this for 4 months bc I am silly. also in college out-of-state. also other reasons.#finally got around to calling DMV and telling them that my DL never arrived… 6 months after I renewed it!#and they were v sweet and are resending me my DL for free. so in the next few weeks I shall finally b driving legally again #!!!! the end #mypost

#i woke up at 3 pm bc this was my 1st day ‘off’ in forever #and when i went to grab something to eat our back door was fully open and my car was nowhere to be found #cat*#so i freaked out and started looking outside but when i realized she wasn’t there and my roommate also wasn’t recently outside #i knocked on her bedroom door and she was like ‘oh sorry i was asleep do you want me to help look’#YES i want you to help look what are you talking about #eventually i found her bc my cat is the best girl in the world and never left our yard- she was in the crawl space under the house #but not only am i pissed she let my car out then took a nap #but we don’t live in the safest city in the world and while we were both sleeping our door was fully 90 degrees open #so now not only do i feel like kevin (cat) isn’t safe here but I don’t feel safe sleeping here anymore #the lease is up in july and i finally get to leave #this girl is a random roommate my former roommate found to replace her #and the whole process/experience has been awful #i just have to survive 4 months #during the summer i might keep paying rent but fully leave and go live with family #bc my school isn’t in driving distance of any of my family #now i’m thinking about asking someone if they’ll take kevin for a couple months bc im so sorry about her #but my dad has a dog that doesn’t love cats and my best friend is allergic and my mom lives in another state #personal #delete later #also this is unrelated BUT every weekend without fail she does laundry at an insane time in the morning #and our washing machine is the loudest washing machine i’ve EVER heard #and of course it’s right against the wall of my room #not hers #i only get two days a week to sleep past 630 am and she almost always ruins it

I didnt even know it was coming back this soon. that was a coincidence)#so when the trailer dropped for season 1 I was like 'oh this looks cool! I should watch it when it comes out' and then forgot about it #but recently someone I follow was reblogging and posting stuff about this show and it reminded me of this show but still didnt watch it #but then last friday I took a nap so I'd have energy to stay up the whole night doing something. I hadn't figured out what tho #and during my nap I had a dream that sonic and shadow were working together to take down a common enemy #and at one point in the fight Shadow got hit and slammed into a stone wall and there was a cracked indent where he slammed into it #so when I woke up I took that as a sign to start watching this show #and about 6 hours later I was head deep into this show and the tags reblogging everything in sight #(if you're a follower of mine and your dash was covered in sonic posts that night that was why)#and then it turned out the show was coming back today so that worked out great for me

#i took part in this summer course in finland right? i havent talked about it much but it also feels like i cant shut up about it #anyway so it was 3 weeks long i had 3 teachers and was evaluated on 3 criteria #being writing speaking and class participation #and by the last week ive had so much of constant interaction and stuff that i couldnt really even speak on monday #and tuesday was the last day when i was evaluated #and i was just generally away with the fairies by the end of the second week #and i got a 5 for both speaking and writing and only a 4 for socialising and my main teacher told me that it just seemed like i was living #in my own little world. AND HERES THE CATCH. she said. living in my own world THE WHOLE TIME #come on i was trying so hard. for like a week and a half. but i was!!! and i was going strong until those last two days #anyway diagnosed with weirdgirl syndrome at first glance. there are only three quests you can use for an infinite rings exploit and the way they work is that you get rings in the text before the reward screen, so if you close the app after getting the rings but before the reward screen, it resets that part of the quest. the first one (know your friends, i think it’s called?) needs your mc so you can’t really progress the main storyline, and the second needs ezra, like so:

he’s not required for any important quests until much later, but i’ve still got about 5 side quests sitting there that need him.

but the third one, do you know julian, DOESNT need any of the main characters. i forget if it needs any other classmates (i just know that i used it in my original game and it was sustainable), but ezra is FINALLY free!

#ok well not quite. i’ve gotta DO the quest first #but god what a relief. this is the PERMANENT ring exploit quest #the first two were just to tide me over until this one #hss #personal #oh that’s right the last req is ‘complete a party with julian’#now watch me get one of the questions wrong so i don’t get the reward #it also has infinite coins and books. all of them have coins but the ezra one doesn’t have books #so i’m starting to get low on them even after the hundreds of thousands i saved from the first quest #oh you have no idea how much of a relief this is i can finally relax #but things are picking up with hss:#i’ve decided i’m only gonna get one of each gender of classmate unless absolutely necessary (so far i’ve needed 3 jocks and that’s it)#and this week i finally got the skater girl i needed to progress the main quest #(with infinite rings i know i could just buy them but i’m committed to partying. rip ever getting a prom queen lmao)#i also unlocked kallie yesterday (and i understand why nobody ever talked about her. that took WAY TOO LONG)#(i bought pencils in my original game but the server’s shut down now. had to do it the slow way. it took MONTHS)#i feel like there’s something else i did that was significant…….#oh yeah just now (at the same time i unlocked this quest) i finished the party that officially gets me one of every classmate #of the types i can get that is. don’t have rebels yet rip #i should look up which classmate i’ll need two of next so i can start working on it #the rarer ones can take weeks (or months. but i don’t think i’ll need a homecoming/prom queen for a quest?)#sometimes i forget i played this game for YEARS and only got by with exploits (and lbr spending WAAAY too much real money on it)#(hwu was worse because you couldn’t exploit it)#but i never paid rings for classmates. i always partied #sometimes i rushed parties but i still did them #wait. hold on a second. i have phoebe. she’s a prom queen. it’s the prom KING i don’t have lmaoooo that’s easy #when i say i only get a boy and girl of each that doesn’t include main characters or vips so i’ll still eventually party for a prom queen #but yeah i do have one lmao
