Title: pick a name, (pick two)

Summary: The first time around, it had taken Shinichi six months of careful consideration to pick a name. He’d made more lists than he could count, made his father utilize all the naming skills of a world-renowned author, and had his mother pronounce each choice with careful consideration.

Six months of hard work had gone into Kudo Shinichi.

Edogawa Conan takes six seconds.

It helped, probably, that Ran didn’t have many memories of pre-teen Shinichi in pants that didn’t belong to a soccer uniform. It was another thing that differentiated Conan from Shinichi, the little boy so secure in his identity from the teenager that stumbled through labels and truths, not knowing what to think or believe. Shinishi’s parents had always been far from average or normal, had never forced Shinichi to care for one thing or dress a certain way. Frankly speaking, he liked the skirts and dresses he’d worn as a kid. They’d been soft and comfortable and certainly prettier than what you could find in the boy’s section of the clothing stores. Additionally, they gave him more freedom to run around and were much more comfortable during summer.

Shinichi had only really stopped wearing them when they had changed his nameplates at school and the teasing and name-calling wouldn’t stop. He’d gone out of his way to craft himself into a young man in the image of Sherlock Holmes, the detectives of his father’s novels. The newspapers spoke of Kudo Shinichi as a brilliant detective, Heisei Holmes. His old name hadn’t been mentioned in any newspaper but one and his parents’ lawyers had torn that newspaper to shreds and it hadn’t happened again.

Shinichi hadn’t even disliked his old name. Were he a girl, it would have fit him just fine and he never would have thought of changing his name.

However, in this world, Shinichi had required a new name and a new outfit so the bullies would shit up.

Conan dressed as Shinichi might have in a different life, one where he’d never had to learn the art of hiding and drawing attention away from his curves and chest. Not that Conan had much of either right now, as young as he was.

So, yes, it probably helped that Shinichi had looked like a little girl at Conan’s age and that Conan did not.

Not that it changed too much about his current situation.

“You’re not looking too hot there, Meitantei.”

Sighing, Conan turned to the catalyst of today’s introspection.

He’d honestly expected KID to have already gotten away. The thief had danced on Nakamori’s nose, and had Kogoro not gotten distracted before the heist, Conan would have arrived on time to properly chase after KID.

“And you’re still here,” Conan returned. “So eager to be put behind bars after all?”

KID faked an outrageous gasp, clutching his chest in imaginary distress. “Never, my dear detective. I just noticed that you don’t look quite comfortable.”

KID’s grin was strained, worried, seemed almost a little guilty—

Ah, right. He was a master of disguise and research and had posed as Shinichi before. There’d always been something little off about his performance as Kudo Shinichi. Conan knew they looked alike and he supposed were he not assigned female at birth, their likeness would have been even closer. Kaito KID was just a bit taller than Shinichi had been. Not enough for it to be noticeable if they didn’t stand right next to each other, but it was enough for Shinichi, who’d spent hours hoping he’d grow just a bit taller still, to recognize.

“I’m fine,” Conan said, wiping imaginary dust off the light blue dress KID had picked out for him. The entire police force had been decked into delicate gowns, fitting the ballroom theme of the heist. Conan’s, however, seemed to be the only one of relatively high quality. KID had put thought into this one. “I don’t mind.”

“Are you sure?” KID asked. “I didn’t mean to bring up any, ah, bad memories, I’d honestly… forgotten.”

That, Conan supposed, was the point of transitioning. “Like I said, it’s fine. Just haven’t worn one of these in a while.”

The thief looked guiltier about that than he’d ever looked about a single stolen gem as if the thought that he might have hurt Conan unintentionally was unforgivable.

“Tantei-kun.”

“KID.” Conan stressed his name, forced the thief to look him in the eyes. “It is fine. I would have already stripped if that weren’t the case.”

It wasn’t like KID had made it particularly difficult to pull off the dresses if you knew where to look. Conan simply hadn’t had the time. Every second counted when chasing after KID.

“If you say so.” KID still didn’t look comfortable and not for the first time Conan wondered how somebody so intelligent and caring ended up on the other side of the law. He knew that KID was after something that forced him into this position. He wasn’t a bad guy after all and could be quite reliable as well, and someone with such a big heart had to have a good reason to put on such a show.

“It took me six months to come up with Shinichi, you know,” Conan said. They were alone on the rooftop; nobody would overhear. KID straightened, a sign that he was clearly paying attention. Six months of careful consideration, writing more lists than he could count, making his father utilize all the naming skills of a world-renowned author and asking his mother to pronounce each choice.

Six months of hard work had gone into Kudo Shinichi.

“Edogawa Conan took six seconds,” Conan continued. “Is it unsettling to be back in this young body? Yes. But Shinichi never had to be a boy at this age”.

The Detective Boys knew that Conan’s body didn’t entirely fit, but most of the other people, who didn’t know him, were unaware. It was almost a positive experience to see what the world was like through these eyes. As much as Conan wanted back to his old life, carry the name he’d put so much work into, this aspect of Conan he didn’t hate. “I didn’t even care much about gender until I turned fourteen. I’m perfectly fine wearing a dress, it’s just a piece of fabric. And it isn’t like there aren’t enough men walking around wearing dresses.”

Conan sent KID a pointed look, which, surprisingly, didn’t end with KID grinning, but the magician staring at him with an unreadable expression until he finally, slowly, began to speak. “I’m not.”

Conan blinked.

“A man, I mean,” KID said. “Sometimes I am, my birth certificate certainly says so, but usually I just exist and sometimes I’m a girl. I mean, I don’t mind with my disguises because they’re just that, another part of the show, but I’m picky in my civilian life. Sometimes I’m fine with it, but I have to wear enough masks. I like to be true to myself just in this one aspect. Does that make any sense?”

And then KID looked at him as if he needed Conan to confirm that yes, this was alright, that it was fine. For a moment, Conan was tempted to simply banter with the thief again as they did so very often, but tonight had already been exceptional.

“Of course,” Conan replied seriously. “You can be whoever you need to be.”

No wonder KID worried so much about it when this, what had never bothered Shinichi, bothered him so much.

“Should I call you something else?”

With a slight smile, KID shook his head. “I’m fine,” KID said. “Here, as thanks for listening to me.”

KID opened his closed hand, revealing the stolen diamond. “For your effort, Meitantei. And you do look cute in blue. I was thinking of you when I picked out that dress!”

KID threw the diamond almost carelessly and Conan caught it easily. “Don’t be stupid, thief.”

“Yes, yes.” With another wide grin, just moments before the police tossed open the door to the rooftop, KID threw himself over the edge of the building.

Cracking “Journal of Slavmaeda” Enigma-encrypted text

EDIT: Do not reblog this post. If my interpretation of the rules is correct, it’s forbidden by the fanfic’s author.

Greetings. On September 7th, 2020, at 7:20 PM, CEST, @fieldofsunflowers8 found a piece of fanfiction titled “Journal of Slavmaeda” on Archive Of Our Own. As of September 8, 2020, 8:00 PM, CEST, the work has three chapters. The link:

At the end of Chapter 1, it contains something coded in Enigma:

As of August 8th, 2020, 8:02 PM CEST, the meaning of the message is unknown.

Some words were italicized in the text:

enigma, machine,  Kirigiri Jin, Momota Kaito, like Komaeda Nagito, blood, Kuzuryu,  too, Owari, like, 3,  Komaeda Nagito, chest

Based on “enigma” and “machine” we deduced that the text is coded in Enigma, while with “Kirigiri Jin” and “Momota Kaito” we deduced that the model is most likely Railway Enigma “Rocket I”.

Other than that, our ideas were not enough to decrypt the text.

We got some hints in the second chapter:

Too is a homophone.

Rocket is correct.

You are misinterpreting the word like.

I wish you luck. [Note: in the fanfic, the word was underlined, however, I cannot see this option on Tumblr.]

I should note that we were interpreting the word “like” as indicating similarity, rather than fondness.

Our attempts still are not enough to solve this.

Later, the third chapter was posted, and provided us with a word scramble:

[Translation: Satou, Tsumiki, a blonde whose last name begins with S.]

The three names refer to characters related to “Twilight Syndrome Murder Case”. “A blonde whose name begins with S” refers to Saionji Hiyoko. 

I should note that other characters involved in it include Koizumi Mahiru, Kuzuryu siblings - Fuyuhiko and Natsumi, and Mioda Ibuki.

It was also noted:

“If decoded and interpreted correctly, a passing remark of mine may become the only evidence that is needed. Let it be only a last resort.“

I personally suspect the “passing remark” may be one of those three sentences:

I wish you luck.

V igorous it may be, but  I ’m sure it is not hard to discover. [Note: V and I are separated.]

A small breakdown or nothing at all.

And six sentences, out of which two are stated to be true:

Like does not refer to Hinata’s chest size (91) or Hinata.

The blood type of Komaeda is the ring letter of rotor 1.

Kuzuryu and Owari are in italics to confuse you and are completely unrelated to the solution.

Kirigiri Jin and Momota Kaito are not both intended to figure out the enigma model. Only Kirigiri is.

Most of the positions and rings are by letter, but the third rotor is based on numbers.

I should note that there are fifteen possible combinations of true and false sentences.

It was also said that:

I will grant you a hint but at a price. You are figuring out what is true and what is a lie.

Glitter stated that she apparently is good at figuring out “truths and lies”, and pointed at those two sentences as true:

Kuzuryu and Owari are in italics to confuse you and are completely unrelated to the solution. 

Kirigiri Jin and Momota Kaito are not both intended to figure out the enigma model. Only Kirigiri is.

As of September 8th, 2020, 9:12 PM CEST, it is unknown if she was right. We also do not have any other clue than this.

Less than a minute after posting the latest update on our progression, I found that the fanfic updated:

The separated V and I were nothing more than mistakes from an undone clue. In that way, you could think of it like a cheat sheet. An answer to the lie puzzle.

In case you cannot understand, think of boots and connect the dots.

The word scramble results have no connection to Twilight Syndrome Murder Case. Koizumi Mahiru and Mioda Ibuki will not come into play. Neither will Tsumiki Mikan or Saionji Hiyoko.

I suspect the first statement means hints I and V are true, or, is the position and ring number of some rotor.

Statements I and V are:

Kirigiri Jin and Momota Kaito are not both intended to figure out the enigma model. Only Kirigiri is.

On September 9th, 2020, around 6-7:30 AM CEST, I have discovered that the fifth chapter was posted. It contained another message in Enigma:

This time, it was stated that the code was simpler. Also, more data was already provided:

The message is encoded in Enigma I. The rotors are all I.

Rotor I position and ring: Hot pink, purple, blue.

Rotor II position and ring: Yellow, white, purple, black.

Rotor III position and ring: Pink, white, purple, black, blue.

I quickly recognized that those are pride flags: bisexual, nonbinary and genderfluid.

Putting in their shortened forms did not work. The fic was later updated to say that:

I apologize. It seems I have given false information. The 3rd rotor is actually III.

I have quickly updated the rotor number and got:

Interestingly, the author of the fanfic also included six rules:

There are 6 forbidden actions. I use the term rather than rules because they are irrational.

1) You cannot ask for hints at all for this code.

2) You cannot speak of this chapter in the Slavmaeda channel.

3) A former Slavmaeda tumblr head cannot share their solution with anyone but a fellow former Slavmaeda tumblr head. You can say you have the answer or hint at what is true, but giving the solution or showing it is unacceptable.

4) You cannot tell others of this chapter in the Slavmaeda channel in any situation. If it is mentioned in a post, you cannot share that post in the channel until you have properly decoded the text.

5) If I suspect that you have broken a rule above or witnessed a rule being broken, I am allowed to take action.

6) All rules except 5 are invalid if Firanka is participating in a discussion.

I currently do not know why all discussion of this chapter is prohibited unless I am present.

We have cracked the original enigma.

It says:

My name is Slavmaeda. I have stolen the title of Russian president from Ouma Kokichi-san. As the man who danced alongside myself in the "Fingers in His Ass” video would say, get dunked on.

We were enraged, as we expected the solution to tell us the identity of the author.

Chapter 6 forbid me from speaking about this fanfic on my own on days other than Wednesdays.

It also provided additional tips for solving the enigma.

Between the release of Chapters 7 and 8 we finally cracked it. I included the solution above.

Chapter 8 provided another enigma and a promise of a game. The enigma was never solved.

With Chapter 9, we found out about the nature of the game - the title was “Secret Hitler”. Its rules were also described within the chapter.

Chapter 10 provided the link to the game. The victors were Marshpy and Glitter, who received additional tips.

After that, Author-san joined Tropical Despair Discord server, and the new Slavmaeda Discord. They later invited us to another game, “Buffet”. It was a game invented by Author-san themselves. We were provided around 60 words, most of which were dummies, and six phrases, which we were supposed to define with the phrases. While Author-san said it should take us around 10 minutes, it actually took us several hours. We still needed a high amount of assistance, and we only had the solution once Author-san revealed it to us.

Author-san also stated they are Glitter, and Glitter confirmed it.

The meaning of the word scramble was confirmed to be:

Satou, Tsukimi, a blonde whose last name starts with S.

Which, rather than tying into “Danganronpa” series, referenced characters from “Your Turn to Die”.

A later chapter stated that this was not true. As of September 16th, 2020, 22:15 we do not know the true identity of Author-san.

Today we also received a new chapter, and another game offer.

Interestingly, the chapter, despite its number being divisible by two, did not wish us luck in any way.

Gundham and Kazuichi have adopted Kaito a while back, since they both wanted to have children. Kiibo however was a project that Kaz has been working on that is a robot that can age like a human. Kaz made them multiple bodies in different ages, where the data would be transferred over the years. However they both began growing attached to Kiibo, so they kept them as their child

Maki is Fuyuhiko’s and Peko’s biological child. They are mostly keeping her out of the Yakuza business, but she’s learning fighting from them. Maki also has a slight childhood crush on Kaito, who however sees her as a little sister and doesn’t reciprocate it at all

Gonta is the biological child from Nekomaru and Akane. However in this AU he wasn’t raised by wolf, he simply spends a lot of time outside. I’m also thinking about making mentally disabled for this AU because of his speech pattern and problems with understanding typical social interactions, but I first need to read more about possible disabilities that could be fitting

Mahiru and Hiyoko used a donor to have Miu, while Hiyoko is the one who birthed her. Angie they adopted later on

Kirumi’s biological mother was a maid at Sonia’s castle, however she died of an illness when Kirumi was still young and she had no other living relatives that could take her in. Since Sonia was very close to her maid, she and Kyoko had a talk about it and then adopted Kirumi

First Byakuya and Makoto only wanted to adopt one child for the beginning, but when they began visiting the orphanage they started to grow close to Rantaro and Shuichi, who were already very close like brothers. So they decided to adopt both of them. Rantaro doesn’t have any sisters in this AU, but he is like the big brother of the children in the orphanage

Sakura and Aoi both adopted Tenko, who visited Sakura’s dojo very often to train there before she had gotten adopted. First she was against the idea, because she wanted to stay close to Himiko who was in the same orphanage as she was, but when she learned that Chiaki, who is a friend of Sakura and Aoi, wanted to foster Himiko, she happily agreed

Mondo and Kiyotaka were one of the first to adopt and took in Ryoma when he was quite young, after his family had been killed. Takemichi, who was something like a little baby brother for Mondo’s gang then also lost his parents in an accident and so they also took him in. They are currently only fostering him, but they are working towards official adoption

Kaede is the biological child of Leon and Sayaka, who just like her parents, is very skilled in music. Masaru is Leon’s nephewor baby cousin in this AU and after it is revealed that Masaru was abused by his father, they took him in

Komaru often helps out at the orphanage after her brother adopted his children from there and she often took Toko with her. There they met Kotoko and Nagisa and they were very fast to connect to them. After a bit of discussing they decided to foster them with the plan to adopt them officially as soon as they can

Chiaki first learned about Himiko through Sakura and Aoi, and since a lot of her friends were adopting she sometimes joined them to visit the orphanage, where she then actually met Himiko by chance. They were quick to grow close and so Chiaki decided to take Himiko with her as her foster child (I’m not sure if single parents can officially adopt children)

Mikan happened to meet Jataro in the hospital she was working at and while caring for him, she learned about what had happened to him at home and that he was now looking for someone to adopt him. Since Mikan has been in a very similar case in her childhood that she was groomed into believing she was worthless, she is quick to connect to him and takes him in as her foster child

Junko had Tsumugi and Monaca with her ex and took them with her after breaking up with him. None of them are in despair in this AU, but they all have a nature for dramatic

Celestia had Korekiyo with an ex of her and also took him with her after breaking up. They are very close and in this AU Kiyo doesn’t have a sister and he is simply androgyne and genderfluid

Preface

 

The Lunar Star Chronicles is a paper that existed several hundred years ago, back when the sixth realm- known today as the Night Sky Realm and known back then as Noctuse- was still sealed off from the remaining five. At the time, while no people were allowed entry or exit, material goods could still be exchanged through the gateways.

The editors of The Lunar Star wished to inform foreigners of their culture, so they each wrote articles detailing different aspects of Noctusian culture. Over time, a few of them got together on the side and wrote a collaborative story- a darker, more adult sort of rendition of the familiar story, Alice's Adventures In Wonderland and What She Found There, using elements and devices from Cinderella and Aladdin alongside other Noctusian norms.  

The story was never meant to be published, but perhaps through a filing mishap, it was- and it became so popular that it was continued as a weekly serial.

What you are about to read is a collection of these weekly serials, as compiled and edited by Lord Marciel Celedine von Blauflam of the Fire Realm.

In an effort to preserve continuity, Lord Blauflam cut out the cultural notes in his original compilation, however, the Solarian Literary Institute- who was responsible for the restoration of this work- has decided to add in the relevant notes here, in the preface.

** Though some might appear more feminine than others, Noctusians as a whole are androgynous in appearance, with no defined sexual characteristics.

** Due to this androgyny, concepts like gender are largely in flux. A Noctusian's gender can only be determined by the colors of whichever bracelet they might be wearing on any given day.

*** having said that, there are four types of bead combinations; bracelets made from cold colors (blues, purples, and greens) signify the wearer is identifying as male, regardless of his overall appearance. Warm colors (reds, yellows, oranges, certain shades of pink) are for females. Noctusians who choose to identify as both male and female, who tend to prefer singular "they" pronouns, wear bracelets made from black beads, and those who identify as neither- going by xie/xey, or else a different pronoun of their choice- wear white.

**** naturally, every Noctusian has one of each type of bracelet, so they may change their gender identification at any given time.

** Noctusian reproduction is quite different from other races, except perhaps Solarians. Noctusians are followers of the deity Heba, who it is said to have overseen the birth of the universe. Thus, there are many shrines dedicated to Heba all throughout Noctuse. If two or more people desire a child, they go to a shrine and pray. If the love between these people is at least present, Heba will send them a child- or two, or three; it depends on the strength of the participants' love for each other- within the next few months, on the back of a messenger wolf.

*** sometimes the rival deity Gift might try and steal the child as it is being delivered. While Heba often prevents this, in such cases the child in question will often have some sort of irreversible handicap, either physical or mental- Gift seems to act randomly.

** While marriage as a concept is normalized in Noctuse, the ritual itself varies from region to region.

*** polygamous marriages are often seen as more beneficial than monogamous ones, so it's quite common to see families with more than one set of parents.

** Noctusian children are essentially genderless until the age of four, when their brains are developed enough to think consciously for themselves and develop memories. At that point, the parents gather together and present the child with their identification bracelets. This doesn’t necessarily have to coincide with the child's 4th anniversary of arrival, but for some families it's easier.

** In Noctuse, the age of majority is twenty-eight, since that is typically when the brain is completely developed.

** On average, Noctusians have a life span of about three hundred years.

*** with such long lives, it is generally believed that Noctusians die without any regrets. As such, funerals are more like parties, wherein the family of the deceased will spend a week celebrating that person's accomplishments rather than actively grieving their loss.

**** in certain circumstances, such as the death of a minor, the celebration will last two days, and for the remaining five days, the child's direct family will lock themselves away and intermittently fast; it is believed that fasting is offering a portion of oneself to Heba, and that by using those offerings, the spirit of the child can either pay to be reborn to the same family later on, or else pay Doro the spirit guide to take them to Estellune, a mythical kingdom of eternal night.

** Noble children within Noctuse debut between the ages of sixteen and eighteen, at which point people may choose to court them- if they can get the parent(s)' blessing(s), of course. You are helping him with placing his books on the bookshelfs.

There are towers of encyclopedias standing literally everywhere – on the floor, on the tables, on Korekiyo's desk...

Since your boyfriend wanted to place books alphabetically, you look around the room in search for the ones who starts with letter A.

You notice one of them on the top of one of the high towers.

Your boyfriend seems busy with other stack, so you decide to reach it on your own.

You stand on your toes, trying to reach it.

But it's still too high for you.

Why the hell did Korekiyo put them so high...

You decide to help yourself with a chair.

Unluckily for you, you didn't notice that one of its legs is cracked.

So when you stand on it, the chair breaks, causing you to fall.

Korekiyo turns to you, alarmed by the noise.

"Are you alright, s/o?" he asks, squating next to you.

You nod; nothing bad happened to you, except a little scratch on your hand.

It itches a bit, but doesn't hurt.

Your boyfriend demands to check it anyway.

He takes your hand and examines it carefully.

Suddenly he takes his mask off and kisses the wound.

Then he looks at you and gives you a slight smile.

"I think it's fine now, isn't it?"

He is on a walk with you in a park.

You aren't paying much attention to him, since you focuse on the sights.

It isn't delighting him, but he decides to not complain and let you enjoy the walk.

But after a long moment he gets tired of it.

He wonders how he can get your attention back to him.

Then he notices your hand.

It's on the familiar level as his head.

So he takes it and kisses it.

This is enough to make you look at him.

He gives you a slight smirk.

"I see that you are enjoying sightseeing, but could you let me look at my most beautiful sight? It's hard to, when you are turned away".

Your cheeks get pink rapidly.

You apologize for ignoring him, but he tells you it's okay as long as he can look at you.

He wants a cake.

He wants you to bake him a cake.

You have no choice but agree.

During the whole process he jumps around the kitchen, non stop asking you about when you will finish.

It's annoying the hell out of you, but since you know him too well you just ignore his behavior.

Until you catch him on trying to add panta to the dough when you turned away for a moment.

You yell at him to stop interrupting you, if he really wants this cake.

Kokichi gets serious immediately.

He stares at you for a few seconds, then grabs one of your hands and kisses it, even though it's covered in flour.

Your face quickly turns red.

He grins at you.

"Sorry for being troublesome, s/o chan~ Nishishi~".

You can't be mad at him when he smiles so adorably.

He helps you with baking afterwards.

He still tries to add panta.

Rantaro Amami

You two decide to take bath together.

While the bath is getting full with water, he wants to help you with taking your clothes off.

But you are reluctant.

"I don't want you to look at me now" you mumble with really red face.

He loves when you suddenly turn shy.

Yet it's going to be pretty damn hard to not look at you when you are naked, if you two want to bath with each other.

So he takes your hand and leaves a kiss on it.

"No need to be shy, s/o. You know I love whole you, right? It includes your body".

You turn even more red, but agree.

He kisses your hand one more time and lets it go.

During the bath, he keeps complimenting you.

And kissing your hand, too, seems it looks like you enjoy it.

He goes with you to the grocery store.

It's a cold day and you forgot to put on your gloves.

You keep rubbing your hands, trying to warm then at least a bit.

He notices that and asks you what are you doing.

Right, he doesn't feel how cold is it.

Lucky one.

You explain that you just forgot about your gloves and now your hands are kinda freezing, but you will be fine.

He's still worried though.

Humans shouldn't get too cold!

So he asks you to give him your hands.

He takes them and kisses all over.

Blushing mode activated.

Somehow his lips are really warm, so soon your hands don't feel so cold.

He stops a moment later and smiles.

"There! Are you better now, s/o san?"

You nod and thank him for the help.

He gets flustered a bit and says that you are welcome.

You two are sitting in the garden.

It's nice and warm; a lots of random bugs are flying around.

Gonta tries to catch some to show you and talk about them.

You observe him with a big smile.

Suddenly something tickles your hand.

You look at it and notice a big and beautiful butterfly walking on your skin.

You carefully stand up, trying not to scare it away, and go to your boyfriend to show him.

You call his name and he turns to you rapidly, causing butterfly to fly away.

A sigh of disappointment leaves your mouth.

"Shame" you mumble. "I wanted you to look at it".

Gonta isn't happy with your miserable expression.

Especially if it's partially his fault.

Gentleman shouldn't make his lover feel bad!

So he takes your hand and gently kisses it.

To make you feel even more better, he decides to tell you a compliment.

"S/o san shouldn't be sad. S/o san is Gonta's most beautiful butterfly after all".

He comes home late again.

The new case has been taking a lot of his time, which causes him to spend less time with you than usual.

He's tired as hell, but he knows there are chores waiting for him.

It's his turn to clean today after all.

But when he walks around the house, he notices that everything is already clear.

Meanwhile he finds you in the living room.

You are napping on the couch with your head rested on your arm.

He smiles slightly, looking at your cute expression, and comes closer to pick you up and carry you to the bed.

But when he touches you, you immediately open your eyes.

"Oh, hi. Already home?" you ask him, rubbing your eyes.

"Yeah... What are you doing here?"

"Me? I cleaned the house and decided to wait for you. It's not fun to go to the bed without you again".

A feeling of guilt is gripping his throat now.

It hits him mercilessly how much time he had spent without you; how lonely you had to be.

And yet you still did his chores and waited for him.

He gets on his knees.

Before you can ask him about what is he doing, Shuichi grabs your hands and presses them to his lips.

Your cheeks turn slight pink; you try to take your hands away, but Saihara holds them tightly.

He stays like this for a moment, then raises his head and looks into your eyes.

"Sorry for abandoning you, s/o. You mean so much to me, I... I don't deserve somebody as nice as you..."

You hug him and say that it's not his fault; you understand how much effort he must put into his work.

You two are cuddling during whole night.

You want to make him a surprise.

You secretly bought a lot of stickers in the shapes of stars, moons, planets and shooting stars.

When Kaito goes out, you quickly lock yourself in his bedroom.

You have to use the chair to reach the ceiling, but your plan is worth it.

During the whole process you can't stop grinning, because you keep wondering on how he will react to this.

It took you about an hour, but finally you manage to finish.

A whole solar system is now sticked to his ceiling.

Right after you get off the chair, you hear Kaito's voice coming from the other side of the door.

You open the room and call him in, trying to hide your enthusiasm.

When he walks in, he opens his mouth to ask what were you doing here...

But then he notices what you have done.

You can see how happy he turns.

And suddenly he pulls you into the tight hug.

"Thank you, s/o!! You are the best!"

You smirk and tells him to turn off the light.

He does so and the stickers start to glow in the darkness.

His jaw drops.

His eyes go wild.

You almost can see the little sparkles of joy in them.

He takes your hand and kisses it over and over, fulfilled with happiness.

Now you are trapped until he chills.
