My RepCom Musing: Vau’s cover up story
"Sergeant Vau!" he barked. No Walon, then. "What in the name of the Force happened to Skirata? I've just passed him."
Vau was the only being Scorch had ever seen who could come to a halt grudgingly. "He's fine."
"He is not fine. He's badly injured. He can't even stand up straight."
Vau inhaled slowly. "We were having a philosophical discussion, as Mandalorians often do, and I asserted that the only demonstrable reality was individual consciousness, but he insisted on the existence of a priori moral values that transcended free will. So I hit him."
Zey didn't even blink. "You think you're so witty."
"No, I think you should stay out of Mando clan business. It's for your own good. Now, do you want a report, or not?"
Zey gestured Vau into a side lobby. So the old chakaar really had been spying on Skirata. Scorch was actually surprised, and even a little disappointed but Zey had a point; and it was an inarguable order. Scorch stood to one side, trying to look-and feel-as if he wasn't listening intently.
"I see that arrests have been swift," Zey said.
"Some stupid clerk, General," said Vau. "So Skirata is not your traitor, even though he is a light-fingered little scumbag who'd steal your teeth if you smiled at him. But I don't think you'll see a continuation of his dishonest habits, because he now understands the error of his ways."
Scorch translated into plain language. So Vau had given Skirata a good hiding for causing trouble, and made him swear not to rip off Republic funds and kit again. That was . . . unexpected. Scorch had always had Skirata down as the alpha Mando, even if he had to stand on a box to head-butt Vau.
"I'm relieved." Zey nodded shoulders relaxing visibly. "I didn't want to think I was that far misguided about his motives."
Republic Commando: Order 66
One of reasons why I love Vau so much is because the man is so witty. But also the way he solves problems is worth of notice. Like in the fragment above. Walon made a story to cover up what happened between Darman and Kal. Which is 2 in 1... or maybe even 3 in 1 type of solution, come to think about that. One, saving Darman’s ass for assault of the higher rank, as sergeant Skirata is in fact his superior first and foremost in military hierarchy then a father (if even this could be acknowledged by non-Mandalorian personnel and GAR bureaucracy, as the clones do not have civil rights and they are property of Republic, so how one could adopt them in the light of legal laws?). Because of Vau’s story, Darman won’t be held responsible and thus, Etain’s relationship with clone commando and their child is not put into picture, as there will be no investigation that could dig up so far into Darman’s reasoning for assault. And lastly but no less important, Vau’s story made Zey - and Scorch - to think it was him who beat Kal for breaking rules thus he cleared Kal of charges, since it was Zey who asked Vau to keep an eye on Skirata to make sure he isn’t working against the best interest of Republic. By Vau taking all the blame, he made Kal, Darman, Etain and little Kad safe for time being and Zey to be reassured  everything is now ok-ish.
However the one big complain I have about this scene is
partially about
why the hell Scorch would think Kal is the alpha Mando and call Vau the chakaar?  And yes, this word was used through the story as general insult even if its at the core a term for thief, grave robber [as was explained in Triple Zero’s little dictionary added at the end of book]. This word here does not sound right for me.  Calling Vau an old bastard? Sure, bastard always fits. Old Psycho? Vau was called this one too. But chakaar? Geez, Mando language is supposed to be full of “insults” but we operate all the time on the same, worn out terms. And worse, Scorch even being disappointed a bit by Vau “checking out” what his fellow buddy is doing? When TC and O66 made it pretty clear Deltas aren’t even sure if Kal and his precious Nulls are still on their side? Disappointed that Vau “solved” a problematic Kal’s behavior without dragging outsiders (and Deltas) into this if Skirata presumably stole GAR stuff intended for clones to use during missions? And even if the money were meant for clones’ best interest, Skirata’s illegal activities placed Deltas and other commandos in an awkward position. So.. Do we really need Deltas/Scorch being such a fan of Kal's when they weren’t his boys and had plenty of doubt about the man’s loyalty in the first place? How that even makes sense, I wonder...?
and partially
why the hell the books have this weird notion of Alpha Mando (Skirata), Alpha between Nulls (Ordo), Alpha Female (Besany). Like, really? Who even looks at people and puts them into such categories? Okay, one character’s fine, a specific way of said person. But at least three different POVs / narratives (four, if we count Ordo’s POV about himself and Kal) went with True Colors, Order 66 and Imperial Commando: 501 and I totally hate those kinds of terms.

Philza Minecraft is a survivalist.
Everyone knows this. He's the "Hardcore guy." He's an expert in the inner-workings of the natural world. He's vigilant. He knows how to hold his own in a fight, and he knows when to cut his losses, too. He knows how to keep himself alive. By extension, he knows how to keep his team alive as well. It only makes sense that they elect him as the leader of red team.
Philza Minecraft is a team player.
This is why he's always happy to go grinding for materials when the team needs it. Even if he tends to get a little distracted sometimes, wandering too far, forgetting to check global chat or talk in the team vc, he checks in with his friends and does what he can to keep morale up when everyone is feeling down. He recognizes the ease with which Cellbit operates in this environment, so he lets the man call some of the shots, or give Phil instructions. After all, Cellbit led the Ordo for months. Phil trusts his judgement. Why not play to their strengths?
Philza Minecraft is an adapter.
His biome doesn’t matter, nor his circumstances, nor his equipment. He’s started over more times than he can count. Working under stress isn’t something that hinders him, nor changing environments. If the game of the day is complete the tasks, he can complete the tasks. If the game of the day is kill a player, he can kill a player. He might hate it, but he can do it. For the sake of his friends, of his team, of his kids, and of their collective survival, he can do it.
There is something else worth mentioning.
Philza Minecraft is a liar.
Oh, but you’ll never catch him in a lie, because it’s never what he does say. It’s what he doesn’t. It’s the details he omits. It’s the parts of the tale that he glosses over so that the bedtime story isn’t quite so scary. He’ll give you everything he wants you to have and hold the rest of it close to his chest. Or, more accurately, he'll slam it in a locked box and shove it under his bed with the rest of his monsters.
He was an asset to the Empire.
Back then, he always asked the right questions: not "why," but "how," and "when." Back then, he knew he was valuable, so he kept himself alive. Back then, "the Angel of Death" wasn't so much a nickname as it was a title he earned. A rank.
He never became a general. The promotion was there, and he was more than qualified, he just never took it. He was content to let his friend take the helm, because Phil knew what he was.
"Knew." "Was." Was, was, was. (Come on, now, Phil. Don't be daft.)
Philza Minecraft is a liar; the man he lies to the most is himself. Yes, Purgatory is fucked and twisted, and he hates what it forces him to do, but not because it's hard. No. Because it's far too easy.
At the end of the day, what matters most is that Philza Minecraft is an arrow. Let someone else nock him in a bow. Let someone else draw him back, point him in a direction, let him loose, soar, fly. Resources, gear, tasks, points, kills, blood---it makes no difference. Philza Minecraft won't stop until he hits his target.

I’ve got insaneduo on the brain tonight, like Cellbit and Forever have both found themselves in positions of leadership on the server. Forever, as the president, and Cellbit, as head of the ordo and go-to enigma solver. If something goes wrong, they’re expected to solve it. And it’s not exactly unwarranted, they’ve gained that responsibility through their own actions; but even if they chose to do it, it is a lot of pressure. Isn’t it lucky then, that they’ve always had each other. Through the election and after, despite any arguments, they’ve been each other’s strongest ally and defender. The weight of it all isn’t quite so heavy when someone else is there to bear it with you.
And then everything goes wrong, and the eggs are gone. And they’re expected to fix it. It’s taken for granted that Cellbit would lead the investigation, that Forever would get answers from the federation. Because leaders are expected to step up in times of crisis. But they’re just people. And their child is missing too. There’s no information, no clues, no answers. And under the worst pressure they’ve dealt with, when they only have each other to rely on, Forever is taken out of the picture entirely. Forever is more than Cellbit’s friend, coparent, ex whatever, he’s the only other person that could understand the specific pressure that comes with people looking to you for answers. I don’t know how you move forward after losing something like that.

I put all my Chiss characters there : D
Ain'res - I think dont need to introduce at this point but, Ex Cipher 7, Ghost agent, a sith hunter.
Darth Lazarus - LS Sith Warrior with Quinn romance (in my mind) (still cannot forgive they didnt unlock him at Kotfe/Kotet) Can go berserk and full DS at that moment. Full hate on Chiss astendecy when he was banished as a kid.
Eli - Cipher Thirteen, master of seduction, sniper
Zair - Former padawan, had few masters but because of the chip that block his Force they didnt stick along. Leave order and joined SIS
Rinosle - Republic soldier, never seen Chiss Astendecy. Leader of own special force squad and protecting a Force user from isolated planet that dont know much about galactic war
Radan - Bounty hunter thats follows the creed.
Well thats it for them (I try to decide who will be good match for Arcann romance and Rass Ordo romance...)

The parallel of Forever being let down by Cellbit when Cell "betrayed" him to work undercover for the Federation, forcing Forever to become the new leader of the Ordo and vowing to get Cellbit back vs Cellbit being let down by a Forever already in a position of power who has completely shut down, making Cellbit resort to heading an operation to save him from himself

forever and cellbit's plan for the election:
The two decided that they will apply together so that they have 4 lives (with cellbit serving as a meat shield for forever)They will use ordo theoritas and N.I.N.H.O to show the public projects they have already created
In case Forever dies they are planning to give their full support to Baghera as they both agree that she would be the best second option.
They also want to make public projects, like improving the favela and turning it into a public meeting place.
Also Cellbit doesn't want to be the president because he thinks he would be overloaded being president of the island and at the same time leader of the ordo theoritas, besides that he would have a too much power in his hands.

[i'll probably talk some spoilers of pjo's books here, so feel free to not read if you dont want it]
just saw someone arguing that q!cellbit should be in athena's cabin not in are's because that's a huge misinterpretation of his character and i couldn't agree more.
both the mystery twins are supposed to be in athena's cabin and there's SO MUCH parallels between them and annabeth. both of them crave knowledge and are always getting out of their way to understand better the situations around them, all the puzzles pieces, problem solving skills, how both turned into detectives in their adulthoods because they crave for the understanding of things, they crave for knowledge. yeah, of course they both have been in war with blood stained hands, but isn't athena also the goddess of war? they have made knowledge and their loved ones the reason they go to war. that's why q!bagi was so sceptical about q!cellbit methods, they should be smarter than that, they should do things in a strategic way that could actually affect the federation without murdering innocent people, without risking his own sanity and going in a lonely path paved by himself.
how q!bagi has turned her life goal to find her brother as annabeth was marked by athena to find her lost treasure. how q!cellbit created the ordos because he wanted everyone around him to know what is going on in the island and get help to discover more as annabeth was always the head and leader in every mission. how everyone around them always move in this direction because of how enthusiastic they are about helping others and understanding the bigger picture of what is the Quesadilla Island.

Where are the other Skiratas in Legacy of the Force
Ok so I knoww it isn't canon and we only ever see Jaing and Mird and hear about Levet. oh right and spar's dead.
But where are the other Skiratas??? like fi and atin and corr and dar and niner and delta and the NULLS. oh and sull.
ok since i'm horribly optimistic and don't want anyone to die here's what i think
Dar's living out the good life, retired hopefully, if we go by Karen Traviss's plan for the book she never wrote
Niner's settling down somewhere nice, having kids and all
Fi helps Parja with her shop and maybe establishes a full corporation in Mandalore, with Rav's help.
Atin and Laseema--ok look idk what to say abt the couples rlly...
Corr and Jilka --I honestly never wouldve shipped them but ok, maybe they go off somewhere, I feel like Jilka would want to go back out in the galaxy, instead of being stuck on Mandalore.
Delta probably would never desert; while I dearly want them to I have a terrible feeling they'll end up as the nucleus of the Rebellion-era 501st. I saw a fic once where Boss was one of the ones fighting on Hoth with Vader.
ok now the NULLS:
Prudii I feel like would stay at home and be a hacker and help out randos
Kom'rk would be a bounty hunter I think
Mereel would definitely be a bounty hunter too
Jaing we saw.
Ordo becomes the leader of the Skiratas, obviously, with Besany
A'den I feel like would be Rebellion-type material, since he was mostly in the field and stuff. we didn't see enough of him.
Sull probably goes rogue and becomes a merc or smth. like honestly. remember how he was in true colors? ain't never gonna live a peaceful life like that.
OMG I FORGOT Yayax... well...bc they're such good builders they'll form a nice construction company and work with Parja and Fi to expand the infrastructure. Maybe when Boba comes back and they find that beskar mine, Yayax Construction will be the first to occupy it and start mining.
THE SERGEANTS: Rav retires hopefully and helps Yayax with their business. Vau and Skirata die of old age I mean honestly they're their age. Wad'e makes a school of besbev players and passes down his mantle to someone else and retires. Mij and Qail marry and have a put-together family with Scout like Clive, Astri, and Lune's.
Jusik marries New Brainwashed (literally) Arla and teaches Kad jedi stuff.
what are your ideas? i wanna hear you guys opinions

pict of the first session between political parties of Verdan system (newly made Chapter Master Aeneas of the Hounds of Pax does not yet know it is political)
[ lore for my homebrew beneath the cut ]
the Hounds have just spilled out of the Warp, fighting against their corrupted brothers and in the process destroying Verdan's orbital defenses. with Chaos forces on their tails, they brought doom upon the planet, and being called upon, Aeneas descends to speak with the leaders. he gets himself into quite a situation...
from left to right on the top: Master of Sanctity Ziru, Chapter Master Aeneas, Magos Exerti-1, Magos Qi; on the bottom: Lord Inquisitor of Ordo Malleus Kastus Ardo, Governess of Verdan Sami Asittil.
this is the moment Aeneas considers Kastus' offer he can hardly refuse: by the Inquisition's order, to stay and defend the planet they've doomed with Chaos forces following them. he is yet to find out that Warp had already marked this planet as its target, as Mechanicus' failed terraformation project was its first step, and that the Inquisition planned to use the planet as a killing ground which Sima is keen to not let happen.
to ensure that Aeneas and his Hounds do not fall as their brothers did, Kastus and Magos' offer a device meant to prevent corruption. it is part of the offer, and a gamble on Kastus' side because nothing but Aeneas' service to the people of the Imperium and his inner fears of corruption (and Ziru) stop him from just leaving the planet defenseless.

John Whiteside Parsons (born Marvel Whiteside Parsons;[nb 1] October 2, 1914 – June 17, 1952) was an American rocket engineer, chemist, and Thelemite occultist. Associated with the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), Parsons was one of the principal founders of both the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) and the Aerojet Engineering Corporation. He invented the first rocket engine to use a castable, compositerocket propellant,[1] and pioneered the advancement of both liquid-fuel and solid-fuel rockets.
Following some brief involvement with Marxism in 1939, Parsons converted to Thelema, the new religious movement founded by the English occultist Aleister Crowley. Together with his first wife, Helen Northrup, Parsons joined the Agape Lodge, the Californian branch of Ordo Templi Orientis (O.T.O.) in 1941. At Crowley's bidding, Parsons replaced Wilfred Talbot Smith as its leader in 1942 and ran the Lodge from his mansion on Orange Grove Boulevard. Parsons was expelled from JPL and Aerojet in 1944 owing to the Lodge's infamous reputation and his hazardous workplace conduct.
In 1945, Parsons separated from Helen, after having an affair with her sister Sara; when Sara left him for L. Ron Hubbard, Parsons conducted the Babalon Working, a series of rituals intended to invoke the Thelemic goddess Babalon on Earth. He and Hubbard continued the working with Marjorie Cameron, whom Parsons married in 1946. After Hubbard and Sara defrauded him of his life savings, Parsons resigned from the O.T.O., then held various jobs while acting as a consultant for Israel's rocket program. Amid McCarthyism, Parsons was accused of espionage and left unable to work in rocketry. In 1952, Parsons died at the age of 37 in a home laboratory explosion that attracted national media attention; the police ruled it an accident, but many associates suspected suicide or murder.[2]

what visions would you assign to the FMA cast?
oh, and are you into crossovers (like in general)?
i like categorizing things into things, so im into crossovers in this sense, of like, how would this character function\need to be redesigned if put into this different setting. but i dont actually care about like. mash aus of idk, jack frost\elsa frozen ship or smth
Ed seems like an easy pyro pick, but smth doesnt click for me. like yeah hes very driven, child genius etc etc, but hes not xiangling or ash from pokemon, you know what i mean? his goal is not to become the best in alchemy. hes driven to uncover the truth, and alchemy is best tool to do so. pyro also have theme of guiding lights, and he's really not that lol. like his legend could be inspiring to ppl, but when they meet him, everyone is like what is this lil goblin lol. like mei actually cried when she met him in person bc of how dissapointed she was. and his end gamne is giving up alchemy alltogether and pursuing knowledge thru experiencing more of the world. so im gonna say dendro. also, he doesnt actually look down on ther ppl, but comes off as know it all asshle anyway, which is huge alhaitham vibes
Al is kazuha of fma. what else is there to say
winry is im gonna say geo. shes not the heart i think, bc thats al, but shes roots of the siblings, keeping them tethered to the past des[pite ed dramatically burning house. and she is the center of community, like in the epilogue we see how rockbell shop grows, gathers more and more ppl with winry as the leader girlboss. therews an argument to be made about her being pyro tho. but i do think shes more community oriented than just automail innovation
mustang is cryo, easy. hates himself for war crimes, pretends to be shallow womanizer to appear non-threatening, actually ruthless manipulator, only him and his squad against the world
riza is anemo. like... tatooo burned. letting go of past connections, reinventing yourself after your world is up-ended
ling is hydro. like if raiden had a race to get other archon's gnosis just after his parents died or smth thats what ayato would be.
lan fan is either geo or electro. hmm. geo probably, looking at her grandpa and ties to heritage
scar is abyss herald, but not associated with abyss order, hes basically jacob from Narzissenkreuz Ordo, and his brother is rene. like hes read his brother research into abyss, ate some dead god flesh and hes out there for revenge
olivier armstrong and her brother are both geo. heritage repping, community, deep mountain roots growing high etc
izumi is electro. she just has this huge fuck u im living by my own rules and i reject your expectations and judgement energy like beidou and kuki

To me it's really sad how forever tries to do everything right and help everyone and somehow gets people ganging up against him and also always alone but bbh can be an asshole and prank everyone and people will still side with him.
Sadly it's his fate as president. They don't see him as Forever anymore. He's just the guy that is obligated to fix their problems, BBH has the advantage of not having that burden.
So for most of the server, Mr.President is just relevant when they want something to complain about. And no matter what he does, he will anger people.
No wonder Forever feels alone.
And I know Cellbit is busy and has his own problems as the Ordo leader, but Forever never truly wanted to be president. He accepted because Cellbit insisted and told him he would help him out. But Cellbit doesn't have the time so he has to deal with everything by himself and when he goes to try to discuss his ideas with people who he thinks are close to him who aren't Cellbit, he's only met with harsh criticism. I don't even remember someone saying anything positive to him after becoming president. Like, telling him he did a good job about something. I think that's why he liked Tina so much.

Happy Black History Month!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We may be nearing the end of the month, but celebrating Black History is something you can do year-long (like what Motzie does with Christmas 😛)
Our Black Canadian characters span decades of Toronto History, from the 1910s to the 1970s and the 90s-2020s!
Mary-Anne Weekes was a nouveau riche eldest daughter of a hotel tycoon in the 1910s, based on the real life history of Black business owners in Toronto; such as historical millionaire James Mink, who developed downtown Toronto's first public transportation system.
In the fictional world of Hi Nay, Mary-Anne was the only woman of colour among the original occultist Elders, held in high regard by their leader, Sauvard. She would eventually become disillusioned by their work, choosing to act against them in secret, but unable to stop them alone.
The Journalist, "J", pseudonym James Callahan, grew up with two fathers who lived in secret in the 1950s. One of his fathers was a survivor of the Ontario town of Hyde, which inspired J to research its fate - eventually leading him to discover the long history of the Elders.
Charming, intelligent, and secretive, he would eventually gather enough information to create a Book of Elders, detailing the knowledge he gained about every Elder of the Ordo and their dangerous magic. He disappeared one day in the 1980s, never to be heard from again.
[Redacted] Donner is a Detective in Hi Nay's current day and one of the 5 protagonists. Though at first he's introduced as a homicide detective specializing in the strange, unexplained cases in Toronto, it's later revealed that a childhood encounter with the supernatural led him on a lifelong chase for answers - which he's finally getting, after meeting Mari, who's able to turn the tide against supernatural threats that once only left bodies.
Donner wants to save people from these supernatural threats - by any means necessary.
