Puppy update? 🥺👉👈

The puppy update is:

Some folks reached out, but I suspected them to be backyard breeders so 0 luck on the owner front. I'm still looking, but honestly this area is teeming with dropped off pups so I'm a lot less hopeful for that outcome :/

By the end of the time I could take off work, I realized I couldn't take her with me/leave her alone at home for safety reasons (and also because she would terrorize the rats/give my roommate terrible allergies) so I had to take her to a shelter.

Fortunately there are several no-kill shelters in this area, so she will be okay, and i found one that runs a lot of awesome adoption events! She's young, cute, and she'll be the belle of the ball. Honestly a more perfect lap dog there never was, so I'm really hopeful for her odds of getting adopted, but I'm also just a bit sad that I couldn't take care of her for longer than that

When signing up I asked myself what words did I know, not too long, preferably without any special polish characters like ś, ż or ł, that wouldn't be already taken?

I guess ostropest came up and I decided it would do in the beginning. You can always change it for something better, right?

Sadly no, but I know some wonderful cat owners who have taught me a lot about the little creatures!

If/when I can reasonably predict that I might be financially stable & have the time to spend for a projected 7ish years, I would love to adopt a pet like that, but I am currently a broke bitch which comes with all the usual instabilities :')

I do however take care of two rats whom I love!

They are definitely still A Responsibility, but two years was a commitment I felt I could/had to make because the alternative was far worse.

Here are their adorable little faces!

They went through a whole enemies-to-lovers, princess-&-peasant-esque journey and now they are two rusting (graying) grannies who spend most of their time cuddling together in their hammock.

4. how did your elementary school teachers describe you?

for a very long time, like probably much of the rest of tumblr, i was a "pleasure to have in class" kid mixed with "needs to participate more. eventually as i got older i learned that talking to people who also enjoy talking about things you like (almost always star wars) is very fun and exciting, which made me quickly transition from "needs to participate more" to "talks to much", which was certainly a surprise to my parents
