The impact, role and sources of misinformation and disinformation associated with the protests, including the role played by social media.

The impact of the blockades, including their economic impact.

And the actions of police and other responders prior to and after the declaration.

The evolution and goals of the convoy and blockades, their leadership, organization and participants.

Members of the controversial “Save the Children Convoy”  say they were invited into the House of Commons as “VIP” guests of one of Pierre Poilievre’s Conservative MPs before being suddenly kicked out following questions from PressProgress.

The so-called “Save the Children Convoy” revolves around a range of conspiratorial narratives, including allegations that the United Nations is promoting pedophilia in Canadian schools. The group has had numerous run-ins with Ottawa Police in recent weeks and its leader has advocated jailing politicians and police.

Postings on social media Wednesday afternoon show a dozen individuals affiliated with the conspiratorial convoy group wandering the halls of Parliament while posing for photos and broadcasting livestream videos.

On Tuesday morning, PressProgress confirmed the presence of over 30 vehicles affiliated with the “Save the Children Convoy” camping out at a location along County Road 8 outside Casselman, Ontario.

Vehicles at the location range in size from RVs to pick-up trucks and sedans, but notably do not include transport trucks or other heavy vehicles. A mobile office trailer and portapotties were also visible on site.

A pick-up truck guarding the entrance to the base camp features signs opposing “Agenda 21,” a far-right conspiracy that alleges sustainable development policies are part of the United Nations’ secret agenda to establish a One World Government.

Other vehicles could be observed flying the flag of Russia and a flag associated with the “World Unity Convoy 2023” to Winnipeg earlier this year.

The lead organizer of the so-called “Save the Children Convoy” called for the arrest of politicians while advocating for the replacement of Canada’s government during a wide-ranging speech Thursday night that referenced themes associated with QAnon conspiracy theories. Speaking at the convoy’s base camp located in a farm field 40 minutes east of Ottawa near Casselman, Ontario, Save the Children Convoy leader Gordon Berry appeared to endorse a key allegation brought against him by former supporters who have since disavowed the convoy.
