You know what you loved more than anything in the world. You loved the twilight in the morning before the day woke up, and being in a beach town with an ocean view, and playing your guitar when the stars came out next to a glowing campfire.

But as soon as you met Wanda Maximoff, all of that got put in the back seat of your mind. Wanda was all you could think about all the time, and you quickly fell in love with her. You began dating, and it was clear that the two of you were soulmates. Soon, you asked her to marry you, and she said yes.

Now, you were standing at the altar waiting for her to walk down the aisle. You turned to look at Natasha, who was officiating the ceremony. She smiled at you before shooting you a subtle thumbs up, making you nervously smile back. Suddenly, the ​​processional song begins to play, and you situate yourself so that your soon-to-be wife could stand in front of you.

As Wanda comes into sight, being walked down the aisle by Pietro, you begin to tear up. You weren’t normally the crying type, but this seemed like an appropriate time to stop holding back your feelings and building walls up. After all, this was the happiest day of your life. Pietro passed her off to you before moving to stand behind you, as he was your best man. You look Wanda over, wiping some of the tears from your eyes at how beautiful she looks. She grabs your face and wipes some of them away for you, making the guests awe. Natasha clears her throat good naturedly, beginning the ceremony.

“When Y/N and Wanda asked me to officiate this wedding, of course I said yes. The two of you are some of the best friends I have had. You’re my family. Now, I remember when the two of you got together. Y/N was a cocky outdoorist with an ego that rivaled Tony’s,” You playfully glared at her which made her laugh. “And Wanda, you were a shy girl with a heart of gold. No one would have guessed how perfect your relationship would be. But Wanda is the only person I have ever seen that has managed to make Y/N flustered and nervous. Now we know that they have the type of relationship that others strive for,” Both you and Wanda smile at her, and she grins back before clapping her hands. “So, I heard that the two of you have prepared your own vows?”

You nod, fumbling around in your suit pocket for the paper that held your vows. Natasha laughed, pointing at you and saying, “See? Nervous and flustered.” The guests laugh and you smile as you finally get the paper out. You clear your throat and try to collect yourself before you begin.

“Well, I finally get it now, when they say when you know, you know. And you, Wanda, you had me from that first hello. Nothing is better than our love, not even Heaven. and until I get there, I'll never get enough of the way that it feels when you lean in and kiss me, the way that you dance when you get a little tipsy. I used to think there was nothing I could love more than the things I did in life, but man, did you blow that out of the water. I love that look in your eye when you catch me staring. I don't even know what it is but now that I found it, I can't imagine myself living without this. Spending every day with you, watching you watch the sun going down, that's what my world spins around.”

As you finish, you wipe the tears out of your eyes once again. Wanda lets out a shaky sigh, and you can hear someone who sounds an awful lot like Scott sobbing in the audience. You glance towards your soon-to-be wife, who is giving you the most loving look you have ever seen. She pulls out her vows, before letting out a teary laugh.

“Whoo, I don’t know how I can top that. You’ve always had a way with words, babe. So I guess what I’ll say is, when I first saw you, you tripped on your face in front of me before popping up and trying to shake my hand while saying you were the Avengers. That’s when I knew that I loved you. I mean, even Pietro knew that we’re soulmates. This is it. This is that great love that only gets seen in movies. I can’t wait to be your wife.”

You grin at her before the two of you look down the aisle at Nathaniel bringing the rings to you. You grab them before kneeling down and pulling him into a hug and sending him over to Clint and Laura.

Natasha wipes away her own tears as subtly as she can before she starts the ring exchange.

“Do you, Y/N, take this Wanda to be your lawfully wedded partner, to live together in matrimony, to love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health, in sorrow and in joy, to have and to hold, from this day forward, as long as you both shall live?” You nod your head and slide the ring onto Wanda’s finger. “I do.”

“Do you, Wanda, take Y/N to be your lawfully wedded partner, to live together in matrimony, to love them, comfort them, honor and keep them, in sickness and in health, in sorrow and in joy, to have and to hold, from this day forward, as long as you both shall live?” Wanda grabs your hand and slides your ring onto your finger. “I do.”

Natasha grins at the two of you excitedly, stating, “Well now, by the power vested in me by the state of New York and the internet this morning, I pronounce you married! Y/N, you may kiss the bride.” You waste no time in dipping Wanda back, kissing her passionately.

The guests cheered and then music began to play. The guests made their way to the reception hall, where dinner would be served soon. You and Wanda move towards a more private area so that you can spend your first moments as a married couple alone.

Wanda smiles up at you, and you lean in to press another sweet kiss to her lips. “We did it. We’re actually married.” You grin at her before lifting her up, her wedding dress bunched up in your arms. “I’m so happy. You look so fucking beautiful. We’re married! You’re my wife! This is so unreal.”

Wanda giggles as you spin her around, her hands fitting nicely on the lapels of your suit. “Quite the contrary, love. This is real.” You look down at your now wife with nothing but love in your eyes, looking forward to spending the rest of your life with her.

Hip update: Had a my six week post-op check in and I’m healing well. I have sweet Frankenstein-style scars and a better shaped femur. In addition to walking, I’m now allowed to do some limited strengthening exercises and start actual physical therapy next week.
